7 Tequilas Mexican Restaurant

Went here for the first time today after hearing great things for months. Great first experience! Our server was great! He recommended the hibiscus margarita, which turned out to be the best margarita I’ve had in a while! We split queso, I got the chicken taco salad and my boyfriend got the big flautas - it was all really yummy! The atmosphere was great too, music isn’t too loud and decor was nice. Will be going back!

A best place to visit with friends and family for any celebration or any occasion. The food was fantastic, the ambience was great and the staff were simply amazing. The price per person was not too bad as we spent $25 per person on a weekend for a fabulous lunch with some cocktails. Don't forget to let them know your occasion or you'll miss the 'SURPRISE'.

We actually had a good atmosphere here, the food was okay, but just before we'd finished, she kept asking if we were finished and immediately cleared the table, even though the kids weren't finished yet. Then the bill came, and it was split between two people, completely disproportionate. Absolutely outrageous; we definitely didn't want that. At first, I thought it was a joke! The prices didn't quite match the menu, and I always check my bill. She noticed and kept asking if anything was wrong. Very pushy! Not even a "goodbye"!! Guys, I'm not cheeky enough to explain friendliness to you! You don't have to embarrass your guests!! Thanks anyway.

Local favorite. The tortillas are made on site and the service is always great. Great drinks and dinner plates. We usually like to get the burrito California.

They serve quality food and it was delicious! Very friendly staff! A great place for a birthday celebration.

I have been a loyal customer of Ellie at the bar 10/10 service always without a doubt. My family always makes the drive to johns creek because of her. I decided to bring my friends for national margarita day due to them advertising specials online/at the door(a sign with prices listed). We intended to ordered the 3 of the margaritas listed on the sign which my server did not mention/asked further about sizing or promoted special (mind you it’s national margarita day which they were advertising for). To our surprise once bill came we discovered drinks were charged full price. When I try to clarify price because it possible could’ve been an error server mentioned it’s because they were large when we didn’t specifically ask to upgrade our drinks to large nor did he ask. Server said it says on the sign we have to ask for special…Management offered to discount drinks. Moral of the story please revise your bill. They could possibly be trying to upcharge to their convenience even when running specials. Server was too embarrassed to admit fault and sent a busser to deliver our check.

OMG!!! This place is amazing! We had not even sat down and we had chips and salsa… Hot ( temperature) salsa.!! The margaritas are dangerous so be careful…🤣😳 The fajita Salad was delicious and steak fajitas were to die for! Customer service was unbeatable! 5 STARS!!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food excellent! I always order the CHX especial with beans and rice. I use Door Dash with a timely delivery to my home. Thank you much 7 Tequilas. When I can walk again I will come to your restaurant and eat there. Thank you again.

Hmmmm....I don't have much to say. Food was good. Decor good. Waitstaff chill. The drinks were strong and filled to the brim. Don't really have any negatives. The pricing is ok. If I'm in the area I'd stop by again. But I don't think I'm going out of my way to stop by.

At 7 tequilas you are guaranteed Great food and good service its always packed on a weekend but worth the wait !

Ordered two steak burritos with rice and beans, and queso w/ chorizo through Uber delivery. It took the driver 5 mins from pick up to deliver. Her service was impecable. However, my burritos were ice cold inside and the cheese was a block. Tried to get a refund but was left on hold. Uber eats did their job. There is absolutely no reason our food should have arrived this cold unless it was not fresh from the restaurant.

We came here for a team dinner. Location on map is semi-confusing but you'll find it at the far end of the shopping center. Great atmosphere here and the two salsas they serve remind me of Fronteras, which were delicious. The drink, 7 tequila as Margarita, was ok. I had hoped it would be better and stronger (since it supposedly had 7 tequila types in it). My meal, chicken fajitas, was also ok. There was nothing that stuck out to me on it. The best part was really the atmosphere and chips/salsa. Maybe I just ordered the wrong drink and meal this go around, but that portion didn't stand out. Possibly worth trying again. But not I'm not heading out of my way at to come here.

The last 2 times I've been here the service has been complete shit! This time, we waited for 10 minutes at the hostess stand and had to walk out. There were hardly anyone customers in there. 0/10 would recommend. Never again. There's better Mexican restaurants anyways.

Food is amazing and not greasy as other Mexican restaurants. Drinks are good as well. Nice and fun environment, perfect for big groups as well. Excellent service, servers are respectful and friendly.

I called earlier in the day for a reservation. When our party arrived, they told us they were having issues arranging tables to fit our party and we would need to wait. We were seated within 10-15 minutes next to the tortilla making machine, which made it very hot and uncomfortable. We ordered drinks and appetizers. They brought one of us the wrong beer at least three times and when asked for straws, they said they were out, but they were on the way to be delivered. When we asked for a spoon for the queso, it was never brought. The food we ordered was okay, nothing great, and the drinks were okay, besides getting one of them consistently wrong, and them being out of a drink two of us tried to order. The atmosphere is very noisy and the service wasn't great. We will not be returning here, and will stick with our go to for Mexican, which is not 7 Tequilas.

I've been looking forward to trying this restaurant out, ever since I walked by it going to Kroger on Cinco de Mayo. They had live music and the whole joint seemed so inviting and fun. I went with my family, and we had a server who was very nice, albeit inexperienced. My husband asked him what he would recommend, and he said he always gets the steak Al carbon whenever he works (turns out that day was his second day on the job - we found out after the meal), so that's what my husband ordered. I got gorditas for myself, and I ordered a quesadilla for my children. My mom ordered the pollo ranchero. We also got queso and guac as a starter. Everything came out quickly but somehow my children's quesadilla became an enchilada, probably due to an input error. They were busy, so I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. Let's be honest, my picky toddlers wouldn't eat it if it was a quesadilla anyway. However, aside from the dips, all of our dishes were underwhelming and unappetizing. The taste was bland and the meats were dry. I resorted to pouring the queso on my gorditas to be able to eat any of it. We had plenty of leftovers because our food was basically untouched past the first bite. We didn't want to waste the food so we took it home, but if it was bad coming out of the kitchen, it was worse the next day. The prices definitely did not reflect the quality either as it came out to about $20+ per person. I cannot in good conscience advise anyone to come here for dinner, as lit as their music is. I did see tables with giant drinks though, so this might be the spot to come for a drink and vibe?

Love 7 Tequilas. The service is outstanding. The food is consistently delicious. The bar feels like an episode of Cheers. Community friendly. We were here tonight when a couple, obviously too Full of drink, decided to be loud and belligerent. I will tell you that the service team and manager handled the scenario wonderfully despite the inebriated customer's insistence that his "wife is Mexican". It was sad. But the team immediately prioritized the other customers and made sure we were okay. They removed the wayward patrons and soon civility and peace were restored. Shouts out to Luis and Elisabeth! Incredible calm in the storm!!

Terrible experience today. We waited over 45 minutes for food that never came out. Our server kept telling us they were making it every time we asked. Eventually we just got up and left. Don't bother with this place.​

We enjoyed our early Friday dinner here and beat the crowd to boot! Bustling place with plenty of options both food and drinks. Enjoyed a Texas margarita small, bowl of faldo de pollo was huge and the staff obliged me by bringing both flour and corn tortillas. The former are made there and were delicious. They also did not blink an eye with another special request of leave the chicken and tortilla strips out. Hubby enjoyed his chimichunga chicken as well. Complimentary fresh chips and tasty salsa were devoured. On our return list next time we are in town!

Pricer than your average North Atlanta Mexican Restaurant, but the presentation and quality is great. Not to mention you can watch sports events here on the Televisions scattered throughout the building. Things you should know: I. PARKING There's a massive private parking lot out front with plenty of spaces available. Easy. Since this restaurant is in the Korger Plaza all my friends say, "Let's go to El Kroger" and we know they mean here. II. SERVICE Standard. Free chips and salsa (yayyy). They also serve a warm bean salsa (?) dip as well. A little different than your normal stop. III. QUALITY Great presentation versus other places I've been to. IV. CAPACITY Busyyyy. El Kroger is poppin' and successful.

I really like the Atmosphere here. It's a huge space. The decor was a lot nicer and cleaner looking than your traditional Mexican restaurants. The design and decor definitely elevated the look so you don't feel like you're at a Frontera. Service was great! All the staff was very attentive even the manager at one point came by to check on us. I had the Nacho plate with ground beef the portion was not as large as I thought it would be, so we were able to finish the whole nacho plates. Here they used queso for the cheese, so you had to eat it quicker so it wouldn't get too soggy.. I ordered Gordita's With carnitas and that was very different, because normally, when I go to a Mexican restaurant, I would order your traditional dishes like fajitas, nachos, ceviche. The Gordita came with a green sauce that was super tasty. It also came with a very small side of beans which was equally as good. The pork was fried and it tasted perfectly. They also give you complementary salsa and chips and their salsa here is also better than most other restaurants. One is your traditional red salsa, but they add a little bit more cilantro, which made it taste better. The sauce they send out is more of a smoked salsa is served warm. It was different, but. I do like it a lot.

Customer service was horrible. Long story short...I would never go again especially with a big party.

First time I tried this restaurant - excellent!! Highly recommend. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was delicious. This place was not stingy on the chicken nor the other ingredients. Will definitely order from them again and try something else.

Not sure why we keep trying. Last time was tonight though. Smiling faces, they just can't get the orders right now. Tried calling to fix the situation, no one answered, and voicemail was full. Ordered a steak medium rare. Got garbage meat. Ordered a chicken chimichanga and got beef with my wife cannot eat. Complete waste of money. Catrinas and mayas are way. Better options. Owner now trying to get reviews marked as non truthful. Shame on you and your scam of a business.

Great food, management should take a look at the bar attitude issues. But if you eat at a table you will get great service. Order take out If you want good (certain Mexican foods-they need to expand to other areas of Mexico for different recipes) if you are an expert of Hispanic foods, this is only one of your Georgia options....after checking, we have eaten there several dozen times. There are some other good places locally, but 7 Tequilas started this revolution, with authentic Mexican foods, but increased competition may leave them behind

Always good food with solid service and great drinks.My wife always gets the fajitas which never disappoints. I've tried numerous items from sopas to the specialties all great.Our go to for years now. The atmosphere is upbeat always a steady crowd.

The food was great I sat at the bar and got my drink and food quickly but had a very good experience overall. My order for food was the chimichanga de carnitas, it was delicious and I will be coming back

So this one was tricky... The waitress was amazing. I felt bad I was in a bad mood and being extra but she was great even then. The low stars really is on the price/food part. I'm sure they know cause the check in is 10% off food. Now in their defense my meal was steak and shrimp but that salad guacamole and such in the picture is from my coworker who had it come with her quesadilla and did not want. She did not like chicken quesadilla as she felt it was wet...it had a lot of grease she felt. In all honesty I think this place is hyped off their location more then anything and I just wasn't sold.

Ordered street tacos. Meat was bland and tortillas were soggy. I have tried this place 3 times. Service was good but the food was mediocre in my opinion.

For a Mexican Restaurant, 7 Tequilas I think hits all the spots and checks all the marks for me. When I came here we met with some friends and ate outside at the patio. I would say it was pretty loud though, but I guess that's sort of the MO for Mexican Restaurants. I shared a dish with the wife, but it wasn't something amazing. I thought it was just alright. I had a burrito, and your thoughts on burritos in the US, it's sort of along the lines. There wasn't anything super exciting about it, but it was good. Overall, the service was good, we didn't feel hurried, and I had a wonderful time with friends.

Really liked this place on my first visit. We got Huarache with chicken and enchilladas. The food was great and decent service. We returned few weeks later and it was a huge disappoitnment. Like the comments said its a hit or a miss. We ordered huarache again but this time it didnt taste good, no sauce provided. They were busy this time. I wouldnt recommened going during busy hours. The Pinacolada was the worst i've ever had. Wasnt enjoyable at all. Our server tried to do best, overall service was decent. Wish the food was consistent.

Someone referred this place and said it was authentic. We ordered the queso and their salsa was good, so I was getting full off chips. M liked his beef quesadilla and ordered rice and refried beans bc it didn't come with it. He liked the sides but they were $2.99 additional for each one. K & I shared the fajitas with steak, chicken, and shrimp. I didn't need to ask for extra tortillas bc K didn't use them. We thought the fajitas were ok but needed extra salt. The server was decent.

Mmmm! We live to come here for dates, they do have live music sometimes so check in if it's not what you're wanting that night. My food is always perfect. For the most part, the service is great! Some servers pay attention more to the customers than others and I definitely recommend a pitcher of margaritas and the Fish Ceviche! One of the best I've had in GA! It's Mahi Mahi NOT tilapia.

I know how hard it is to open a business, so I really hate leaving a bad review, but if you clearly don't care at all about your guests, then I will tell the world how obvious it is: The most annoying restaurant I have ever been to. And I tried to eat here twice, so shame on me for being dumb. Pros: The decor is nice and the food is reasonably good Cons: Who the f trains a heater directly on their outdoor guests in the middle of Summer when it's 85 degrees outside? Does no one listen to their music system to know it's f'ed up and spewing more static than music? Is it ok to have your servers act like they are doing you a favor to take your order? Is absolutely nothing done to control the amount of noise in this place? I couldn't hear my wife speaking to save my life and I usually like a lively atmosphere, but there's only so much noise anyone can handle. If this owner sent me $1000 gift certificate for free food, I'd give it to someone who needs food more than their sanity and eat somewhere else. I honestly cannot believe this place hasn't closed up yet. Eating here made me feel like I was getting flipped off by the owner.

Husband brought me take out at 2:00pm on a Saturday. I ordered the taco salad. I have had it once before but it was several years ago. I ordered it with shredded chicken instead of the ground beef. When i opened it up it looked gross, everything was melted together. It did not look fresh like a taco salad should and it was sitting in a pool of water at the bottom. So it was soggy. Very unappetizing. Very disappointed. Have been a regular client for many years. Not anymore.

7 Tequilas is the best. I have been coming here since the soft opening and I have NEVER been disappointed. Tonight however was a different story, while the service was good, the patrons were out of control. While seated at the bar, there was a tall Caucasian gentleman with a bald head yelling at the bar tender about a drink he didn't like. He was in her face and waving his hands. Elizabeth, the bar tender, handled it with grace and professionalism. She went and spoke with the manager Louise and he came out and promptly handled the situation. This is not the first time this gentleman has caused an issue at this establishment. I have seen this behavior from him while at the bar previous to today. While I understand wanting to come out on a Friday to unwind, it is totally inappropriate to act in such a manner as this. The entire restaurant was on high alert after this situation occurred. One family even carried their small daughter out as the patron began to speak to her about the situation as if she could understand. This behavior was a disgrace and should never be tolerated by anyone. While he spoke of his wife being Mexican, he still used racial slurs at the staff. I, while not involved, in the incident, apologized profusely to Elizabeth. These are the type of patrons that should be trespassed from an establishment for life. I will continue to visit 7 Tequilas' as they have always been amazing, but hope yo never encounter this gentleman and his wife again.

Came in from the Yelp recommendations. And the drinks were amazing. El 7 and the El Jefe! We tried the nachos honestly wasn't very impressed needed a little more flavor but the Apollo Loco Texas style was nice. Or server was nice and kept checking in. The decor is nice.

AMAZING ! 7 tequilas has ruined all other Mexican restaurants for me. Service is exceptional. Food was even better. The flautas were excellent and the rice was perfection! Everything was made fresh. Quality shows throughout all aspects. An enjoyable restaurant and relaxed experience. Can't wait to come back.

I ordered here from Uber eats . I ordered Barria tacos and they were in fact not barria it was tacos with soft shell and "barria sauce" on the side. Flavor was lacking , just disappointed all around.

Delicious food, comfortable ambiance, clean bathrooms, and nice staff. Also ordered the queso which came a bit cooled down but the staff was quick to reheat it for us. Would come here again.

Saw this place on Atlanta Eats! Coming from California it has been difficult finding authentic Mexican food. Let me tell you we were not disappointed. We ordered a guacamole appetizer to start. I felt like we were back on west coast! They serve it with this black salsa that is warm it was absolutely amazing so full of flavor we were so satisfied. We ordered the Carnitas tacos and they were cooked to perfection! Very tasty! We also ordered the shredded beef sopes, I have to say these were the best sopes I have ever had! The masa for the sope was made so authentic it was like being in Mexico! We also had the Flautas beef they were crunchy and full of flavor! Definitely making this a go to spot for Mexican food! Yes the bar serves excellent beverages as well! Great Service

I have been to this restaurant about three times and thoroughly enjoyed it every time! When we entered, there was no wait time and we got seated by a hostess immediately. The wait staff is very fast and efficient! Even the decor in this establishment is so different and modern. I've ordered the Texas Fajita salad and the Super 7 burrito which is my absolute favorite! It's loaded with chicken and queso! There's complimentary chips and salsa as well which is appreciated. I'm looking forward to coming back soon and definitely recommend it to any one of all ages.

Super great service, good lunch specials and loved the decor. The staff was all so friendly, we loved the booth seating and how clean it was. I would definitely come back here again for lunch.

Ask for Elizabeth at the bar. Fantastic service. She anticipated all our needs. The food was great and the $4.00 frozen margarita special on Labor Day was on point. We had a great time and it was the little things that made this night special.

Even though this restaurant has good food, this restaurant needs to improve its Service. This restaurant has very bad service. I had to wait for ten minutes for the waiters to come. This restaurant also needs to improve it's ambiance. Both it's ambiance and it's service are much worse than other mexican restaurants in the area.

I didn't originally like Mexican food, but this restaurant changed my mind and it's very delicious. I'll come with friends again next time

We've eaten here several times, great food each visit. The vegetarian enchiladas were great, shrimp tacos and chiorzo queso. Lots of margaritas too choose from too.

The food is authentic and very good, the staff could not be more wonderful but beware if you go on a night when there are a bunch of entitled Alpharetta or Johns Creek parents and their children be prepared for an unpleasant experience. This group is loud and the kids run all over the restaurant. The parents are usually worse than their children. The staff is too nice to say anything but be prepared. Adults basically shouting is embarrassing, you have to see it to believe it.

Out to go place for Mexican food. Been ordering for past 5 years, haven't been disappointed once.

Pretty good menu and the margaritas are great, especially La Llorona. In my opinion, the prices are a bit high. The service is always good, too. Only downside is that they're always very busy at dinner time.
