LOVED my second experience here for my son's play date. We were blessed with beautiful & sunny weather in January! My toddler & his little friend LOVED the tree house, as well as the giant blocks area. What a great way for little toddlers to burn off some energy. I saw there were a ton of restaurants, as well as boba place to choose from too. It was NFL's divisional playoff Sunday, so the giant TV with pregame show was playing in the courtyard area. IF i wasn't a mommy with a son that needed a nap, I would have stayed to watch the game too, lol! Looking forward to taking my son here on another weekend.

The container park was a short walk from the attractions on Fremont street. Although we didn't visit many shops, I could tell they had a variety from desserts to beauty to retro shops. We ate at the terrace restaurant and it was very good! They have a bottomless mimosa special that's a great deal. It was a beautiful day and they had live music going on by the park area. The playground area looked perfect for a spot to take the kids for the day.

Convenient to El Cortez and downtown Las Vegas is this unusual little shopping mall built in a unique way - out of containers. I love the little praying mantis shooting flames - it makes the place come alive with a pop of sound. Tony Hsieh did a lot downtown - and of all the things he did I think this one stands out. If you come here its important to remember him and what he wanted and his vision. His family could care less about it - and that is sad. Some fancy boutique retail, places to eat and drink and places to sit and hang with friends. Its a family friendly place in an area that is smoke filled casinos and debauchery. There was recently a little Burning Man in Oakland - Decompression - and this area reminds me of that just a bit. I wish Tony's family well - I think they would find more peace if they continued with his vision instead of giving up on it and cashing in.

A pretty cool concept of putting containers to be stores. There is a (treehouseish) playground for kids to enjoy. There's also a big projector screen that I believe it's good for sports watching. Plenty of seatings in public area for you to chill with kids or pets. There are restaurants and different stores for you to grab a bite and kill some time.

It's been almost 7 years since I've last visited Downtown Container Park. The last time I visited this park was to go to Plant Haven, a plant store, located on the 2nd floor of Container Park. This time, I was down in the area for a race! Container Park is one of the more unique areas in Las Vegas. It's part shopping center, part entertainment hub, and part creative reuse landmark. It opened in 2013 to help revitalize Las Vegas downtown and Fremont Street! What's fascinating about this park is that it was built largely out of repurposed shipping containers. Over 40 different containers were used and additional steel modular units that help the design of the park. The containers have a variety of retail shops, restaurants, bars and galleries. Most of these shops are local and independent businesses! One of the highlights of Downtown Container Park is the praying mantis sculpture at the entrance. It was originally built for another event but now it's located in Container Park. There is also a stage for live performances and events! Some of the current restaurants in Downtown Container Park include the following: Waffelato Ninth Island Gourmet Bin 702 Mob Pie Downtown Terrace This is such a fun place to visit. There are a lot of activities in Container Park! I recommend if you're visiting Las Vegas to stop by here at least for a few hours! It's a unique experience near Fremont Street!

The downtown container park is always a cool spot to come and visit. They have several little shops and eateries to try. They also have an open area where they have live music and you can bring your chairs and hang out. They also have a giant cricket/grasshopper located out front that puts on a show at night. Nice place to chill and relax... They also have a kiddie area if you have small kiddos.

What a fun place lots of great little stores a little playground area for kids to hang out and play good music playing a variety of stores in there to check out anything from food stickers, shirts a couple of places to grab some food. The vibe is very great. It's very clean. Absolutely loved it.

The promise of slides and fun Park was damper by padlocks and things were closed. I would say overall it looks like a fun location at night but the same time it's not what we expected. It's not well we got from the pictures and I would say container Park is not on our to-do list anymore unless there's something different. I could see how smaller kids would like it and seems like a fun treehouse vibe but overall, I would take a pass on the container park

We did a good tour that started in the container park. I love how artsy and eclectic it is over here! The shops charge out every now and then so it's very possible you go to a store on a trip and the next trip there's a different store. It sounds like this could help a lot of small businesses get a good start. We did a little shopping and food tasting through the park and had a nice time.

Cute. Innovative. Fun for the family to escape the vegas strip for simple play. We had a couple of families come down to run around and get the wiggles out. Loved the concept of using shipping containers to build this little enclosed playground and shopping mall. The playground had various pathways to run around and corners to explore. During the vegas warm days they have a misting system to keep kids cool. Appreciated the gate and overall the crowd there was respectful and appropriate. No weirdos when we were there and the kids had a great time. Appreciated the boba shop and restaurants nearby. Definitely recommend coming down when the weather is nice to have some fun!

I love all the cool stores, and activities in this plaza . It's family friendly and lively on the weekends !

As of August 2025 they have movie night specials. Mob Pizza is my favorite food vendor here. This is a unique place with a flame throwing robot/sculpture that greets you at the entrance. Container Park is close to the Fremont Street Experience and the El Cortez (Great Property/National Register of Historic Places).

Super cool place to walk around lots of activities for kids. So many shops and lots of sugar options. Love all of the shops that they have scattered around and love even more than there's tons of things for the kids to run around and do I see security posted around and felt pretty safe walking around Lots of food options here But we ended up. Walking up the road to eat Really cool are all around so much to look at

So this is a fun little place to go to. If you are in the area. It's very walkable and it has a couple floors so to speak. Make sure you go and check out all of the floors and little nooks and crannies of the container part. So it's free to get in, so you'll walk right in, just look for the praying mantis metal statue. You can go left or right, and there are plenty of other spots there like bars and lemonade stands and tattoo parlors and boutiques. Make sure you check the signs when you go because some places have a happy hour when you're there so just be mindful of that when you're walking around. If you want to go shopping for boutique clothes or jewelry, this is also a good spot as well. They have some indoor and outdoor seating in there. Some courtyard and playscapes in the middle. So you can actually bring your kids as well. That's not an excessive amount of things to do, but there's just enough so it's worth the visit.

Fun place to walk around and check out some very unique art installations, stores, and restaurants/bars. It's kid friendly too and typically there's some sort of show going on there on the weekends. The containers are three stories high and it's like a little maze navigating the park.

Things to do in LAS VEGAS | Downtown Container Park Downtown Container Park is on historic Fremont Street, about a block from the Fremont Street Experience. It is literally built out of containers. Container Park an open-air shopping center filled with boutique retail shops, unique restaurants, live entertainment, interactive playground and Bars. It's busier at night and on the weekends. FREE entrance!!

The parking is a challenge when the parking meter is not user friendly. Not happy about that. Also, I did not like being approached by a man begging for money. We were trying to figure out the parking meter procedure when he approached. Luckily it was daylight and others were around. After not giving him money, he peacefully moved on. Upon entering we were greeted by a person who appeared to be security. I wish they had security for the parking lot across the street from the venue. We walked around the container park and there was nothing there of interest for us. There is a huge play area centrally located in the container park. The vibe I was feeling about the place... it's a nice venue to let the kids play while the adults drink (the restaurants seem to feature alcoholic beverages in their advertising). After walking around for several minutes, we left. Dissapointing experience. Maybe it's more interesting at night or with a special event. However, I doubt we'll ever return. The parking and being approached by a person begging for money is a big turn off.

This placed has intrigued me for years, and I finally made it a stop on our most recent Las Vegas adventure. The Downtown Container Park is constructed from retired sea/land containers, assembled in various configurations, now occupied by shops, small restaurants, craft cocktail bar, coffee shops, art galleries, group lesson art experiences. Very notable is a dragon sculpture immediately adjacent to the entrance that belches and roars genuine flame and accompanying blast of heat. Unique and very well executed. We definitely enjoyed the whole experience and the very kind people we met at the businesses. We would certainly recommend a late afternoon, evening visit to maximize enjoyment of the lighting.

Every time I'm in Vegas for work, my co-workers rave about how fun the Container Park is. After finally visiting this past trip, I wonder what all the fuss is about. We went twice on this past trip, and the first night, nearly nothing was open at 7 pm. The bar and the art room were it. It was a bit windy, so didn't know if some vendors shut down because of that or if they really weren't open past 7. The second time, we arrived around 6:15 pm and headed up to the terrace restaurant and went to sit. Someone then directed us that we were welcome to sit, but the restaurant closed at 6. WTF? On a very nice Sunday night? Walked back down to the one restaurant that was still open, but just not the shopping and dining experience I was hoping for. At least the fire-breathing mantis was fun to see.

Recommend! If you can make it near dark you are in for some cool surprises. This feels more like an art district with some shops. This is my second visit. The first time in town we only got to see it as we rushed by, and this time we got to explore. There is art. There is live music. There is food and lots of fun shops on a Thursday evening. Look for the giant praying mantis or the stacked containers just a block or so from the old Vegas on Fremont street. You happen upon some great art. The giant mantis is a treat as the sun goes down. There is some music and then the mantis comes to life. Fire in time with music and it plays about every 15 minutes. There is a big playground in the middle of the area. It's all free to enjoy in the middle. Right near that is a grassy area near a stage. Here is where the live music played as we enjoyed the shops. Its not really the best for a lot of kid time. It is more like an art district. As the sun sets it is aimed more towards the 21 plus crowd.

We were looking for a place to eat lunch, and my BIL remembered this place having options of food so we came here on a Sunday back in February some time before 2:00pm. The Container Park takes up a whole block, but the entrance is at the corner of Fremont Street and 7th Street, where there's a huge praying mantis. Not sure if there are other entrances. We parked in the lot across from the Park off 7th ("Container Park Lot" - I think about $7.00 for 2 hours?). So, basically this place has shipping containers that are utilized as shops and restaurants. It has an artsy flair, with businesses that have individuality. They do have a small park/play area in the center, as well as a stage for concerts and entertainment. I'm all for supporting local artists and small businesses, but nothing really grabbed my attention. At the time, there were maybe about 4 places that had actual food, and the rest were snacks/desserts and drinks. The bar houses seemed the most popular here (we weren't here for alcohol though). Kids might have fun in the small play area, but otherwise, I don't see them enjoying this place for long. And surprisingly, it feels a lot smaller when walking around inside. We ended up just walking around, soaking in the neat environment, checking out the shops, and then left.

We found free parking a couple streets away and moseyed on over. Although the surrounding area felt a bit rough, the only interaction we had was a polite request for change. At the entrance, a large metal praying mantis greeted us. I'd heard it breathes fire in the evening, but we went too early to catch the show. This open-air mall/park is both a nod to sustainability and a middle finger to cookie-cutter construction. There's a decent-sized kids' playground and three stories of small stores, everything from Mexican food and typical tourist swag to bars, nail salons, and vintage shops. There was also a stage, but no one was performing at the time. The park looked clean and seemed family-friendly enough - just be mindful in the gift shops unless you're ready to explain some interesting souvenirs, lol. Pro tip: bring two quarters and your shiniest penny for the pressed penny machine!

Downtown Container Park is located on the historic Fremont Street and approximately one block from the Fremont Street Experience. It is an open-air center with boutique shops, unique restaurants, live entertainment, and an interactive playground. We mainly visited for the playground which had three tall "treehouses" built from containers, a small rock-climbing structure, and a light-sensory game in which you would tap the light to score. Our girls were gassed after a few rounds so it's a great way for parents to expense their children's energy! Right next to the stage is a faux lawn with building blocks. Our girls spent about 30 minutes there. There were enough building blocks for them to build a small house.

Such a cute hangout spot. I came here the other night and there was live jazz music playing. There are different areas for kids to play on the grass in front of the stage or the enclosed jungle gym. There are plenty of cute shops and restaurant. Some jewelry spots, some painting, and others for trinkets, the price here overall is mid priced but there are plenty of free events you can take advantage of as well. The views and life size art pieces are a treat to see as you walk in. Service from all vendors has been quick and efficient.

Super cute little place. Small businesses with unique things. Got the pizza and it was yummy. They also have a place with dirty frozen sodas.

Totally dug the vibe here. Place is built entirely out of containers and managed to make this a pretty neat experience. Shops, eateries, some brew pubs, and an outdoor stage for live music. The giant mantis out front is a neat experience. The fire blowing out of the antennas at night is something that you need to see.

Super cute door to shop and eat at. When you get to the frame, Max says that's how you know you're at the right spot. There is tons of cute art decor there as well as places to shop and eat. During Christmas the trees are decorated. There is a treehouse playground for kids to play at as well. It's on the corner of seventh and Fremont Avenue. Something different to check out while I'm in downtown.

We went to Container Park on Thursday evening around 6pm. It was dead but I didn't mind. There is a big treehouse in center, a music stage, bars, restaurants, shops, and very festive. The fire blowing praying mantis at the entrance goes off every 15 minutes. It's so cool. I recommend checking this place out next time you are downtown LV. Free

Container Park is located near Fremont Experience- there is street parking/small lots right in front. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was completely empty. I assume maybe bc of the heat. The store selection is eehh. I enjoyed the lapel pin store as well as the variety artist store. Other than that, it kind of seems like a waste of space. We did stumble across a happy hour and enjoyed a couple of drinks but it was tucked so far in the back that we would have missed it if we didn't decide to explore the whole area. If you're in the downtown area, stop by but honestly, I wouldn't go out of my way to go to container park.

Downtown Container Park is exciting! It's a unique shopping center where giant shipping containers are cleverly stacked and converted into special boutiques, gift shops, clothing, restaurants and bar. You'll find them on Fremont and 7th Street. Paid parking is next to the container park. A major tourist attraction is the Catalyst Dome and the Giant Metal Mantis, where every night at sundown, the 40 ft tall and 30 ft wide Praying Mantis throws giant fire flames six feet high while in synchrony with drum beats and songs. There's also an interactive playground featuring The Treehouse, and Live music starting at 5pm. For learning and leisure, they have Sunnys Pole Fitness, Dream Dance NV, Segway Las Vegas, Taste Buzz Food Tours, and Free Yoga in the park every Monday night, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Service providers in the area are Black Spade Tattoo & Permanent Makeup, and KRP Boutique (custom printing shirts). If seeking personal care, there's The Nail Buzz (nail salon). Such a cute little park/food court area! There are also some shops located around the perimeter and super close to the old downtown Las Vegas strip. We didn't have any trouble getting to the park and they have plenty of public parking spaces. We paid for 2 hours and crossed the street to the Container Park itself. We took our 4 year old and 1.5 year old here to play on the play area , and they both had a blast! It's not your typical playground but they kids loved it! It was really crowded when we went but there was still plenty of room for all the kids and parents to walk around and play with their kids in the play area. They also have a stage area with a DJ and a snowmaker blowing 'snowflakes' as the kids just stared in awe, and danced to the tunes playing. They also have a wooden swing bench and blocks for the kids to play. The area is very neat and clean. They have restrooms inside as well. The area is very stroller friendly, they have elevators as well for those of us who travel with a stroller now. There are plenty of cute shops, places to get some beverages and food. It's definitely worth exploring if you haven't been in the area before. I'm so glad we went to check it out. When we stopped by, they were doing some face painting for the kids and were making some balloon animals too.

Aside from there being no free parking (I think?) to go here, this is a chill little shopping center. Clean restrooms. There was a nice little souvenir shop I bought a few items from.

Such a great playground park for kids and young kids. Wow, my toddler had such a great time, I liked the theme and the illumination. You can find parking close by (paid) if you go to Freemonth St experience, definitely stop by here

While site seeing, we made it to the Downtown Container Park. We walked around to see what they had to offer. It was a lot happening down there. People sitting outside eating, kids playing in the play area, ice cream and popcorn, I believe we saw and even a tattoo parlor. The bathrooms were very clean and the maintenance man that helped us was very nice.

Las Vegas is the Entertainment Capital of the World, and yes that means they should have activities to entertain kids too. The Downtown Container Park is worth visiting to get away from the dark, smoky casinos and crowded Strip. The Park is essentially a collection of Shipping Containers that have been converted into businesses: restaurants, salon, coffee stand, and even restroom. Nestled in the middle is a huge artificial lawn for the kids to run around and build with these gigantic foam lego-like blocks. Since we were visiting during Thanksgiving week, they had Christmas decorations up too. There are plenty of places to sit with tables throughout the park, which is great for lunch and taking a break. Gender-neutral restrooms with plumbing and diaper-changing are located on the second level. At night, the Container Park turns into an outdoor beer and music place for the adults. The Praying Mantis statue will also begin breathing fire. Entrance to the park is free, but you'll need to pay for parking if using the large, open parking lot next to three Park.

I have seen concepts like this in a few other cities, but this particular one has a character all its own. First off, there's a giant praying mantis at the entrance that shoots out fire in the evenings. It seems like a really great addition to this area and there any number of places to eat or shop or just hang out with friends and family. It does seem to be 21 and over after about 9 o'clock, so plan accordingly. Still, the week we were here. There were a lot of families with kids making use of the park like atmosphere and the treehouse made out of a container.

These security personnel were very unprofessional/discriminate and mock against ADA handicap people..I'm hoping these individuals receive a briefing on how to handle these situations in a more professional manner..

When we first arrived I wasn't sure what I was looking at. All the stores here are housed in recycled containers, which I thought was pretty neat. At the entrance is a huge mantis. I didn't know that the mantis could move. Don't leave without seeing the show. It only lasted a few minutes, but it was actually very entertaining.

Who ever would have imagined that shipping containers could be so much fun? I'm loving this trend of repurposing these old, metal rectangles and bringing such an interesting character to them. The Container Park is sort of an outdoor mall, park and event space built with these lego-like containers. In the middle of the space is a large playground for the kiddos and a stage for performances. You can shop for souvenirs, clothing, gifts as well as food and drink. During the day, it's open to all, at night it turns into 21+.

Love the restaurants and my favorite part is always the praying mantis. A quick walk from the Fremont street experience and good bars / food on the way!

First time visiting and what a fun and creative place with live music. It was a Friday night around 8ish and sad that most of the stores were closed except for the restaurants and bars. Unfortunately pets are not allowed which is a bummer because we wanted to bring our furkid with us especially since it's an outdoor hang out area. This place reminds me of Ferguson downtown but that place is bigger and dogs are allowed which is a plus. I'm sure day time and night time will have different feel. Will definitely want to come back during the day when businesses are open. All ages friendly

Fun for kids and adults. Big grassy chill area for teens too. Lots of shops and on Sunday there's a little market from handmade sellers. Big 3 story playground for kiddos.

The downtown container park was quite an interesting experience made out of old vintage containers. I guess cute shops, several different kinds of shops souvenir shops to clothing shops to restaurants. Thing to do if you really like the restaurants or the shops or the boutiques there we walked from the Fremont experience which wasn't very far so if you want to check out the container park, it's not a very far walk here the stores located at the container park.

Went during the week and during the daytime. Very few stores were open and not worth the effort it took to get there. The only interesting thing to see was the giant Praying Mantis in front. Unless you want to try to go at night, I would recommend finding something else to see.

Another cool area in Las Vegas off the strip. Super close to Freemont Street. Many bars and restaurants and has more of a local vibe. The container park itself is small but there are cool shops in there. To get in its 21+ at night. The show was cool too.

A great selection of stores. Love the open area for the kids to run around. Firey praying mantis is always fun to watch as well.

It was a cool vibe here during day time. Next time will try to see how it looks during night time. . Basically the container park is all container built. There are a bunch of shops and food stalls. There is a boba spot too. . In the middle of the park is a dream for a kids who likes a jungle gym playground to climb, hide, and chase each other around. . There is a part where there are giant Lego for kids or adult to put together. I loved this idea. . There is giant statues such as the giant grasshopper which suppose to spit fire at night. Also statues light up for the vibe. . Nearby are restaurants to brunch and dinner at. I came during day time to visit here so the restaurants I went to was perfect for Sunday fun day brunch time. . We attended the recent Las Vegas Aces watch party at the park on the big screen. From the second we got there, park attendant Stacy could not have been friendlier, attentive to guests needs and provided exceptional service. When the rain started pouring down, she was trying her best to keep us dry and happy. We truly appreciated her and her great attitude!

Very small park. Personnel were friendly. Small & quaint. Very near Fremont street. A few restaurants & shops. The huge blazing metal animal figure was a great show full of loud sounds, smoke, fire, etc. Everyone loved the long entertaining show!
