A Guide to Filipino Cuisine in D.C. | Eater DC

"Now shuttered and formerly located in Crystal City, I note that Bistro 7107’s name referenced the 7,107 islands of the Philippines and served as the predecessor to the team’s newer Ballston concept." - Pat Padua

Absolutely loved having discovered this place. It made our 21-year anniversary extra special and memorable. The food was simply delectable for us. We loved everything we ordered. We will definitely come back for the other dishes. I was pleasantly surprised by the stir fried morning glory. It was a very good take on our locally sourced kangkong. The risotto was pretty well balanced. We always loved Teotbokki and this version was really well made together with the Calamari. Dessert was fabulous! I especially loved the chocolate mousse Brownie. Chocolatey goodness with every bite. The mango Verrine is fabulous as well. The staff are spot on and very attentive to our needs. This is a highly recommended place and we will definitely come back for more.

Delicious Korean food and great vibes! Visited 7107 Korean Restaurant and was impressed! We had the popular pork chops and ribs and some fried rice, and both dishes were absolutely delicious, tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. You could really taste the quality and care in the cooking. The service was friendly and attentive, and even though the place had a good number of guests, our food came out quickly, hot and all together. The ambiance is cozy and modern, making it a great spot to enjoy a comforting and satisfying meal! 🇰🇷❤️

10/10. Second visit in less than a month and the food never disappoints. My husband isn’t really a fan of tteokbokki but loved their version, especially with the calamari topping. The mushroom cream pasta is a repeat order for a reason, while the mango shrimp with salad was refreshing and tasty. The risotto had a great mix of flavors and textures, with a nice chili kick. Ambiance is cozy, service is attentive, and food came out in just about 5 minutes. Definitely worth coming back again!

Bad: tomahawk porkchop. Very bad, do not order. Was deep fried (we thought it was grilled based on the picture). It was overcooked, chewy, and had zero flavor. It needed seasoning so badly, - especially salt. Served with a pile of fresh parsley on top. Hard to believe it came from the same kitchen as the rest of our food. The good: Grilled lobster was perfect. Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly. Very flavorful and the star of the meal. Potato gnocchi was well balanced and tasty. Chocolate mouse was Very good. Had another dessert, was like mango French toast. Very weird dessert, - not entirely bad, but wouldn't order it again. Edit-came back - lobster + chocolate mouse still delicious. Service was pretty bad, I recommend coming between 2pm and 5pm to recieve proper service. Also "Tiramisu" is very different than actual tiramisu, order at your own risk.

The food on offer provided a unique fusion of Filipino and Korean flavours, giving a new and refreshing perspective of what can be done when these two culinary traditions meet! The Tteokbokki with Fried Calamari was my favorite. The sauce complemented the Calamari really well. The rice cakes were well-cooked, very chewy. There was only a slight kick of spice, would’ve loved more as a spicy lover. The back rip was also amazing, very well seasoned. The Calamari linguine was also very good. Really enjoyed our dining experience! Will definitely come back when I’m back for vacation

7107 is located at the upper ground level of 88th Avenue, just above their underground parking lot. It is located across Rinoa Hair Salon. We had a family gathering here. I think theur staff were a bit overwhelmed. The service was good, but a bit tough to call the waiter, since they were so busy. Food was good. For me, rhe creamy pasta was the best out of all these dishes. The chicken was also really good, juicy meat and crispy skin. The sauces paired well with the dishes. I think we will still come back to explore more of the menu.

7107 checked all the boxes for me. Food was great, service was good despite the waiting time, and the place was well designed and kept. I particularly loved their Tteokbokki with Fried Calamari and Mushroom Cream Pasta. Back Rib was also good, the Pork Tomahawk could do better. Place is spacious and there’s ample parking. Despite being far from the city center, it was well worth the visit. Well recommended
