Google
Excellent beer, excellent cocktails, and great service. And reasonable prices too. I think we might have found our new favorite place!

Google
Great vibe, great company- decent beers, will say the seltzer I had could've used another dash or two of mango syrup - but all in all a solid choice. ☺️

Google
Amazing location in Depot Town. Gravel patio with umbrellas and plenty of additional seating along the sidewalk. Nice people and plenty of great artists!

Google
This is such a great spot! Reasonable drink prices and always a great place to host an event! I've been to a couple different events and they have always been accommodating to us as guests. The bar staff, especially on Tuesday night karaoke, are always a good time and really personable. Really love the vibe of this place It feels like an important spot in the community. Cherry smash drink is also my favorite !

Google
I went there about a year ago on vacation in Michigan. And it was absolutely phenomenal. Some amazing beer. Great people. And just the right vibe for a brewery. Chill but with enough going on that you're not bored. Plus the bartenders were knowledgeable about the beer. And they gave great recommendations. Loved it.

Yelp
Got there on Monday right at opening so the only ones there...BUT...good beer and nice vibe. Not huge inside but good patio outside. Most importantly though...very good beer!

Yelp
This place is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! As someone who doesn't drink (because she's allergic ahaha), I can't necessarily speak to the beverages here, but I absolutely love the ambiance whenever I come here, it gives the sense of like this unique local watering hole for Ypsi, which is absolutely delightful, and it's a great spot to people watch since they have a loyal customer base. All of my friends who live in the Ypsi-area say that this is their favorite brewery spot to come to for all kinds of things, with friends, on a date, and sometimes by themselves just to park at the bar and relax after a day of work. It's located in Depot Town, which is the northern 'half' of downtown Ypsi and within an easy walking distance to the other half! I got one of my Ypsi friends, who is within an easy biking distance of this brewing company, the Mug Club membership here, which has such fun and incredible benefits! It came with a default growler and pint glass, 2 free growler fills, and tons of additional discounts on their drinks throughout the year! I had to go into the physical establishment to get this membership, it's not available on their website, but they had absolutely wonderful customer service and extremely friendly staff, so it was not inconvenient at all and my friend ended up really loving it!

Yelp
The 734 is a place I thoroughly enjoy! I've actually been here a few times. If you are looking for a unique spot for a drink....look no further than the 734. It's a college town and this place has such a cool vibe. The staff are great always so kind and friendly. I really enjoy their seltzers and they have a craft cocktail menu. They have a great outside space for seating and the local patrons are fantastic. If you are lucky, you might even catch a live performance while sipping your drinks. If you get a chance, check out their beer paddles. haha

Yelp
Before I moved to Ann Arbor, I asked my beer geek friends in Albany about which regional beers I should seek out when I arrived. Ross K, without a moment of hesitation, said 734 Brewing in Ypsi. I remember, because I wrote it down. At the time, I had no idea there was a place called Ypsilanti, and I had never heard of 734 Brewing. Learning about great places that aren't on my radar is one of my favorite things! Flash forward a year. The world is beset by a deadly pandemic, and I still haven't been to 734 Brewing. However, I wisely follow them on social media. Which is where I learned another incredible thing. They can deliver beer to your door in Ann Arbor! This seemed too good to be true, but I decided to give it a shot. So I grabbed my phone, and after a few clicks I had set up a home delivery for later that same day. A six pack of their IPA and a sixer of the oatmeal stout were supposed to arrive around 8pm. The delivery fee was a paltry flat rate of $2, and I was able to leave a generous tip at the time I placed the order. All they wanted was to see my ID when dropping off the beer. So I left a note that I would tape it to the front door, so we could have a totally contactless transaction. Amazingly, the beer showed up, and it's fantastic. For starters, it's nice to have six packs of twelve ounce beers. So many breweries have moved to four packs of sixteen ounce tall boys. And it's refreshing to have craft beer that's restrained. It's beer flavored beer. No mangos. No vanilla beans or lactose. Just well made brews that are full flavored, delightfully balanced, and have great body. I'm not proud to admit it, but I've paid more for a four-pack of highly sought after beer, than I did for these two six-packs, even with delivery and tip. Thank you to 734 Brewing for making the trek out to Ann Arbor for beer deliveries. I truly hope that they keep this service running through the pandemic, as I would love to make this my official house beer during these dark days. When it's finally safe to venture out, maybe I'll even get a chance to make it out to Ypsi and thank them in person.

Yelp
734 is a consistent destination for our work team. Everyone enjoys trying whatever new drink finds it's way onto the menu. I, however, am obsessed with the home brewed root beer. I think about it in between visits! It helps that the owner is so kind and helpful and the bar tenders are awesome. We love 734!!

Tim G.

Yelp
Gave this place too many chances. Yesterday was the last one. Walked up to the bar only to be ignored with a 20 in my hand for roughly 5 minutes. One of the bartenders walked right by ignoring us and the other one was chit chatting with her friends giving them samples. Place was packed. Id say 50% of the people in there were belligerent and over served. Been here a handful of times since they opened years ago. every time the beer is awful and service not much better. We were in the area so figured we would give another shot. Suprised this place is still in "business".

Yelp
Friendly staff, super clean and out door seating! Why not?! They even had a taco truck that hangs out a door down from them.. they don't serve food so this was absolutely perfect perfect. Will definitely be back! City punch hard seltzer is definitely a fav at this point!

Yelp
We're deep into a brewery craze back home in Ohiooooooooo, and saw no reason not to keep it going while on a quick weekend getaway to our neighbors to the north in Michigan!! This was a great first stop upon our arrival to the wonderful, surprisingly vibrant Depot Town section of Ypsilanti. Nice front patio outside, but we chose to sit in their equally cozy interior section, roomier than it first looks, and filled with great artwork. Not a huge beer selection, but some interesting choices. I had a hibiscus-flavored ale that was really unique, and the Mr. enjoyed his choices as well. We left, had dinner, took a walk around town, and came back to enjoy some great live music and another couple of beers. Great first (and last!!) stop on a beautiful Friday night stop through of my new favorite "stomping grounds" when in Michigan!!

Gabriel W.

Yelp
Clean and friendly! I loved this taproom! So different from the dark industrial style! White walls, barstools, and a real clean look. I had a couple of the oatmeal stouts and by the second one made friends with some locals. I was happy to be able to talk with people about the area and it makes me want to go back and explore again sometime soon! Otmeal Stout on a cold day!

Michael R.

Yelp
It's always nice to have a new brewery in town especially when they taste as good as this. Cool place in Depot town. It's worth a try. I tried all the ones they offer nothing to me is like oh wow I can't live without another pint but better than others in town.

Chloe F.

Yelp
734 is quaint and has a limited menu, however, they always deliver when it comes to entertainment, community involvement, and friendly staff. They don't offer food, but often have food trucks out front, welcome you to bring your own food, and even accept delivery order from restaurants nearby. I highly recommend the mug club, which offers many perks, including discounts (even on kegs)!

Yelp
New brewery in Ypsi's Depot Town. Minimalist, contemporary interior. Naughty-looking tap handles of the famous Ypsi Water Tower. Good beer. Try the Dr. Perry Amber and the Raspberry. No food on the menu yet. Good corner location, this will be a busy spot. In you're in Ypsi, definitely check out the Corner Brewery (sometimes called the ABC Brewpub; great spot! also have a beer garden) and also Cultivate Taphouse (have large beer garden).

Christian C.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite bar in the Ypsi-Arbor area. I almost feel guilty writing a review because it is truly a gem in this state at times. Karaoke on Tuesdays, incredibly beautiful art for sale on display, and reasonably priced beer and cocktails.

Linnea F.

Yelp
Ok, I just heard a news story on NPR with Cynthia Canty and the head brewmaster at 734 Brewery. It was interesting to hear the brewmaster's POV. First, 734 is different from your typical brewery bc they are appealing to the minority population that doesn't typically frequent breweries or drink craft brew. That's why 734's ultra modern ambiance and programming that features minority musicians and artists are so different from many of the wood-cladden, indie-inspo breweries. Then the beer... 734 brews beer in a way that gently introduces people who dont drink beer to craft beer without slapping them in the face with hoppy IPA's and the like. So now I get why 734's craft brews are different. Still not my fave beers based on what I'm used to, but I love what they're doing. It would be awesome if they were more up front about their mission that was shared in the NPR special.

Yelp
I've been here twice. Once close to when they opened and once in December. Pros: I like the artsy, minimalist interior. Tap handles are amazing and a great tribute to Ypsi! Staff were nice. Prices are great! Name is also representing Ypsi. Great location and walkable for me and my wife. Cons: The beer. Tried everything including the apple wine both times, 6 months apart, without much noticeable difference. The beer generally tastes watery and lacks much difference in flavor from each other. The porter was probably the best but isn't good enough to come back for or grab a growler of it. When I came back, I was hoping that the recipes would be adjusted. With the Corner and Cultivate doing great things beerwise, new beer focused places need their product to stand out. Unfortunately, 734 brewing is regulated to the same level of mediocrity as the Ypsi Alehouse. I hope that they can tweak their recipes, improve, and stand a part from the rest of the pack. Then, I would give them another try.

Yelp
As a vegan I was thankful they had quite A few options. I had the Curry Tofu Sunset Sandwich with fries. The fries weren't fresh and the burger was fairly bland. Although the pretzel bun was 10/10. Their bbq sauce was also delicious. I would go back and try other items on the menu, overall their setup and vibe of the pace is very cool and casual. A good place to bring friends and hangout at.

Jason S.

Yelp
I'm sorry...but I really don't understand the negative reviews here. Sure...no food is served and the beer is in limited selection. I believe there are only about 4 options. However, as a home brewer, I really appreciate their IPA. It tastes more like a NEIPA to me (think a different version of M43), but is smooth and a more limited bitterness. I appreciate a location that serves pints on the cheap, captures the local vibe and provides an outdoor seating area. For those that complain about road noise, go inside. You get the same environment on the street in Ann Arbor and Plymouth. The staff is friendly. The beer is good and cheap (my wife likes the Apple Wine). You can also order Aubree's pizza down the road or Maize across the street. This is a great place to unwind after work.

Rhonda V.

Yelp
I've never been disappointed. Joined the mug club as soon as we could. Essentially, this place ALWAYS has happy hour. Nothin beyond $5 for a pint. Prices are awesome, beer is great, staff is fantastic and the location is beyond perfect.

Cassandra M.

Yelp
734 never disappoints! I really miss their shows and open mics, but I am so grateful that they are still doing beer and apple wine to go during covid! Their growlers are super well-priced, and you can still wash and reuse them during this time as well. They do online order and in person order inside, with masks:) staff is always super friendly. Great beer. Great local place to support.

Aj S.

Yelp
A Brewery with only one beer I have been here twice in 2020 and 2021 both times only one beer on tap which is disappointing even tho the worker are cool and the location is good a Brewery with no beer is had to get over.

Nathan M.

Yelp
Good place for a taproom only. Nice beers. I went for the karaoke fundraiser for summerfest so they seem to be community minded room. It didn't seem to have food so it appeared to be only a microbrew taproom. Fortunately it was good beer and atmosphere.

Heather S.

Yelp
Super chill, late summer afternoon we walked in for the first time. We were the only customers for the first 45 min. Grabbed an adult beverage from their (somewhat) limited selection and sat outside on the very cool patio. The bartender said he would come back and check in on us. He forgot so we came back in 30 min later to order 1 more drinky ...but no one was there. So we enjoyed hanging out for another 30 min and then headed home.

Kelley S.

Yelp
I was genuinely disappointed when this place opened after long anticipation. Upon going there for the first time the atmosphere wasn't exactly what I had in mind as it is just an all white interior with limited art work. There are only five beers on draft and that's all they sell. I got a flight to sample them all and unfortunately I didn't like a single one. Tasted like nail polish remover, not sure if it was made right. To top it off they do not allow dogs on the front patio, apparently the owner hates dogs. This is upsetting because we always take our dog out and that's just about the only place in Depot Town that won't allow us. All in all not impressed in the least bit, I'm very surprised at their good reviews.

Candice S.

Yelp
So I love this place on Tuesday night because they have karaoke, well tonight the kJ Malden me feel out of sorts and I just listened to everyone else and I left him note once I feel uncomfy I'm done

Vlad K.

Yelp
I got to try out a variety of 734's beers at a dinner event. All were great, especially the IPA. The proprietors were also present to explain and answer questions about the beers and the brewery. A pleasant group of people with passion (and, apparently, a lot of talent) for brewing.

Rachael S.

Yelp
So glad this is opening in Ypsi! Beer was good, location top notch. Yes, the city says you can't carry your beer on the patio, but that's not their fault. I'm excited to see where 734 goes.

Alex D.

Yelp
Excellent spot, my new favorite place in town. Cheap prices for quality beer -- I highly recommend the Amber.

Jody B.

Yelp
Tried all six brews on tap and a apple wine and they were all good wow.Loved the place.Thank You 734.

J M.

Yelp
I confess this review is being written by someone who has never paid for a drink there. There are 3 toilets in this place (always clean), which makes it my favourite spot in Depot Town. The owners are nice and friendly young guys. My partner seems to think the beer is not bad. Often too loud to hear oneself think, though, let alone hear another person

Gary D.

Yelp
IPA was tasty. Oatmeal Stout also good. Small selection, but quality over quantity ya know what I'm saying. Service was superb. Bartender nice and knowledgeable. I look forward to coming back ;)

Susan Y.

Yelp
Nothing to complain about. The bf is very picky with his beer but this is the first place we've been to where he's enjoyed everything served in the flight. Including the apple wine, there are only 5 choices to pick from. I appreciate the simplicity. His favorite was the IPA, mine the apple wine. (although I usually don't enjoy wine!) They also serve root beer and hot coffee. All drinks run for about $2-4. Extremely affordable! Staff was warm and welcoming and I enjoyed the music they were playing.
