75 Slices at Three Colts Tavern Review - Bethnal Green - London - The Infatuation
"A certified Bethnal Green favourite, Three Colts Tavern is from the same people behind Exale Brewery, and the eclectic, everyone’s welcome kind of pub is loved just as equally by groups of colleagues piling into corner booths, families wrangling multiple children, and dates sponsored by great cocktails. Everyone will likely have a pizza or two in front of them, care of 75 Slice’s kitchen residency, and they’re not just good drinking food. The crispy, NYC-style pizzas are some of the best in London. The edges are puffy and charred, and each slice is crispy while still chewy enough to be folded and dipped into tangy garlic and herb dip. Fun extras like a pesto swirl and wet, sloppy dollops of burrata push these excellent pies over the edge, and mean you’ll need at least a pizza each.

Margherita
Bubbly, charred, thin crusts make an excellent handle for the foldable slices which are thickly covered in marinara. Mozzarella is melted into the sauce, while the extra burrata sits on top in thick, creamy dollops (definitely get the extra burrata). Add the pesto swirl for a nice hint of fragrant basil.

Spicy Roni
We’ve found that pizza places can scrimp on sauce when lots of toppings are involved. Not here. The Spicy Roni still has plenty of 75 Slice’s sweet tomato sauce, along with a generous scattering of pepperoni. Thinly sliced jalapeño and a drizzle of hot honey add a subtle heat. Our only complaint? We’d like an extra pot of that irresistible hot honey on the side for crust-dunking.

Roasted Mushroom
A mushroom pizza is usually like the last kid picked in PE. But 75 Slices makes a strong case for this underdog topping. The roasted mushrooms are properly earthy, which is brought out even more by confit garlic oil.

Calabrian Supreme
No arguments resulted in sharing this pie because each slice comes with its own generous splodge of burrata. It also means that everyone gets the combination and contrast of creamy cheese, heat from nuggets of ‘nduja, and sweet-spicy drizzle of hot honey in each bite." - Rianne Shlebak
