I regret to say that my experience at 75 Slices today was quite disappointing, despite the numerous positive reviews I’ve seen. This pizzeria is often hailed as one of the best in London, but my visit didn’t live up to the hype.
Upon entering, I went to order a pizza only to be informed that they were out of pesto sauce. After placing my order, I sat down without any indication that I would be waiting 45 minutes for my pizza. The wait felt interminable, and when the pizza finally arrived, I was eager to see what all the fuss was about. Unfortunately, it was overwhelmingly salty—so much so that the taste lingered in my mouth for hours after. Additionally, the pizza lacked sauce, making it quite bland and not at all sweet.
On a positive note, the dough was excellent—light, airy, and crispy, more akin to a Neapolitan style than a New York style. However, the rest of the pizza didn’t do it justice.
I hope this was just an off day for them, but something was definitely amiss today.
