First time trying makgeolli – and wow, what a way to start!
We hit up 7.8 Makgeolli in Jung District, and this cozy two-story house instantly set the mood with hip-hop beats, funky posters, and a chill-but-cool vibe.
We kicked things off with the original makgeolli, got fruity with the strawberry one, and finished in style with their so-called Korean Dom Perignon (an absolute favorite). The best part? The staff kept surprising us with extra sips from their wild flavor collection all night – like a makgeolli tasting adventure we didn’t know we needed.
Food? Next level. The flame-grilled pork was juicy and packed with flavor, and the potato pancake hit the perfect crispy-chewy balance.
A perfect spot for any occasion – dates, catch-ups, or just discovering your new favorite drink. I came for the curiosity, stayed for the good vibes, and left a makgeolli fan for life.
