A cool place with lots of seating. Eclectic furniture on the first and second floors. I would come here way more often if it weren’t for their strange pricing. When you order a latte, they make you choose from one of the three specialty beans, even when you didn’t ask for it. It adds $3 to the bill. Plus their pastry (which appears to be their only food option?) costs $8 for a small puff pastry. There was no price tag for that. After staying there for a couple of hours and ordering two lattes and two small pastries, I ended up paying almost $40. As much as I think it’s a cool hangout space, I honestly wonder who can afford that. 😭

I dropped by this coffee shop for a networking event hosted by the Women in Machine Learning and Data Science community. The location is prime—naturally drawing a steady crowd of people grabbing coffee, catching up, or working remotely. There’s ample seating, making it a convenient spot to hang out or get work done. The space itself is pretty minimal—nothing overly aesthetic, but functional. I ordered a regular drip coffee and a slice of banana walnut cake. Both were simple and satisfying. While the pastry selection was a bit limited, their coffee menu was surprisingly creative, especially the cold brews served in pouch bags—a quirky and fun twist. That said, the floors could’ve used a bit more attention, and the restroom wasn’t particularly well-maintained, which took away from the overall experience a bit.

Ran into this gem coffee spot 787coffee! I was welcomed with a beautiful smile from Danielle as soon as I walked in and she was so generous, kind and welcoming! I was also helped by Mariana and she even offered me water which was so thoughtful! The coffee and chai were delicious and the pastry with cheese was so good! This is a great spot for locals and tourists! The vibe is super positive and uplifting it has a great energy with the music and staff! I highly suggest this place! In a time where service sucks at most places this place is awesome!

Google
Special place special experience. Their coffee is exceptional. Some very unique combinations and surprisingly all the ones I tried have been good. The speciality coffees are a little on the expensive side. But I will highly recommend giving them a try.

Google
I love this place. Coffee is great. They have so many different options from the common commercial ones everyone knows. The service is really good. They explain very well all options, they patient and kind. I recommend everyone I know to try it !!!

The Chelsea 787 location provides a delightful experience for any coffee enthusiast. From the moment I arrived, Daniella and Tina greeted me with warm and friendly smiles. They were very attentive to my needs. The Horchata Latte and the quesito were the perfect match.

Google
I absolutely love this place. Not only do they have delicious coffee with unique flavors but the atmosphere is amazing. They multiple in NYC, Puerto Rico, and New Jersey. If you’re looking for an instagram worthy place for photos and yummy coffee I highly recommend.

Google
Visiting from the west coast and stumbled across this beautiful coffee shop. Amazing vibes and great coffee! Tina and JD helped us and made our coffee today. Great customer service 😁

Yelp
It was my first time coming in 787 Coffee Co. and I've been trying to come for a long time. When I told you, the tres leches latte was out of this world. IT WAS! I tasted the hints of cinnamon and I loved having the rum coffee beans. The staff were so friendly and we chatted for a bit. They were also so welcoming and knowledgeable. The spacing there is great and there's an upstairs, I will be back!

Yelp
Cute lively and large coffee spot smack in the middle of Manhattan that's perfect for hot chocolate, coffee, odd bag-shaped coffee that's supposedly good (I just had hot chocolate), and plenty of seating to crank out some work. Bean bag chairs are great when you're overwhelmed and need to stare into space. And the staff are friendly too! But, pricey.

Yelp
All the 1 star reviews are from transplants or cheapos. Coffee here is a bit steep but it seems fairly standard--especially for New York. $9 for a "cup" that is around 8-12oz is not that much more expensive than any other coffee shops that are around Midtown. Not to mention the flavors are amazing! The Mazapán is my favorite! Nutty but sweet, just like me. I've been to their FiDi location, which is a bit smaller in terms of seating, but the flavors are consistent! The staff is nice and it's a great place to get your work done. I would recommend this place (but don't come here all at once--I still want to be able to find an empty seat). The only thing I would deduct points for is their lack of milk alternatives (only whole milk and oat). Luckily, I am both lactose and gluten intolerant so I don't have to struggle with making a choice. I will suffer either way. 10/10!

Yelp
I have been to a few other 787's Coffee shops around the city and none are this size. This location is the biggest one I have seen so far. It is 2 levels. You order on first level and there are some seating areas on that floor. Then you go upstairs and it's little different sections of seating arrangements. There are some table and chairs, there is a corner that has cushions and what looks to be bean bags to sit on. Then there is a little corner that has swinging chairs two of them with a table in between them. This floor is very cozy and is great place to enjoy some coffee or hot cocoa on cold days. Its a great place to meet with friend's or co-workers for work meetings too
google avatar

Yelp
The cafe was very uniquely decorated, with novel furnishings such as a bench on a swing. However, it did look like it had a decent amount of table space, which could be good for co-working. Unfortunately the americano was terrible so I won't be coming back.

Yelp
787 coffee is my absolute favorite coffee shop in NYC. Every time I visit I have to stop by several times lol. The vibes are immaculate and very chill which I like compared to more chaotic coffee shops like Starbucks. The quality of espresso here is amazing. They're a Puerto Rican company so a lot of their drinks have that Spanish influence which is so unique. My favorite lattes are Dulce leche and horchata. Their cold brew and cookies are amazing as well. Highly recommend if you're visiting or live here!

Yelp
What a hidden treasure a few blocks from MSG. Puerto Rican coffee. Very smooth and sweet. A bit pricey but it's a special place. Service was good and ambiance was super hip.

Yelp
It wasn't the coffee shop we were planning on walking into, but we're so glad that we did. The crew was great! Well informed and communicated well what they're all about. The vibe was great too. Seating upstairs and downstairs to work or just hang out.
google avatar

Asma A.

Yelp
Great coffee shop merely minutes from Penn station! The vibe/origin story is very interesting with a Puerto Rican theme; the drinks are "farm to cup" - so wholesome! Their menu is extremely unique and has a lot of good flavor options. I got a marzapan oat latte and it was so well done. Justin the barista was extremely helpful and friendly. The place itself is spacious with comfortable seating, and is open a bit later than typical coffee shops. I will definitely be returning here or one of their other locations. Ps their iced drinks come in cute pouches.
google avatar

Vivienne Q.

Yelp
A great option to do some work or studying. Plenty of space with comfy chairs and tables all throughout the cafe, with even an upstairs for a quieter space to work. However, the drinks could use some improvement, specifically the matcha latte. The matcha latte was very faint green (if that), indicating that they either do not use good quality matcha or they don't use enough. The matcha latte tasted mainly of the milk used. Would return for a space to do work, but not for the drinks.

Yelp
Paola was very helpful gave her fullest customer service experience. Love the menu had the tres leche latte it was the best

Yelp
Nice vibe in this out of the way spot between 7th and 8th. Amazing they have enough seating area to actually stay a while. Two floors of space has plenty of room with various seating choices including bean bags, tables, high back chairs and even a swing. Yes, you read that right. It's a bit bohemian for my taste, does not look well kept, but nice. The wait to get coffee was extremely long, but! The coffee was great. It was actually infused with some non-alcoholic rum of which you get hints in the coffee itself. Whatever they did, it works. Best part was the service. I don't remember the last time I was greeted with such enthusiasm and friendliness. Whether real or not, they are trying to stand out from everyone else, and it's working.

Yelp
Love this coffee shop! The coffee is good and grown at the owners farm in Puerto Rico. Delivered fresh every few weeks. The quality is great. The space is modern and creative They even have 2 swing at the bar table facing the street, so you can swing while sipping on coffee. Careful tho! They also have 2 option of rum and whiskey infused beans. The beans are soaked for 48h in the alcohol and when they are dried, the alcohol evaporates. So you want get drunk. But the flavor retains. It is a bit pricy - 9$ per cup. But it's large and not tax on top. And I think it's cheapest infused coffee in NYC. Also some good pastries, including vegan and gluten free.

Yelp
Cute cafe with lots of locations around the city. Got the hot chocolate. Nice aesthetics. There are tables upstairs too. Good to work from cafe.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised when I came here on a Saturday afternoon to find I had almost the whole place to myself it seemed like. 787 has a huge space, with a second level with even more seating. I enjoyed a matcha latte and cookie downstairs, where there's also a single stall bathroom. The employees were all friendly. There's wifi and outlets scattered around, making this a good place to do work, catch up with friends, or read a book. It eventually got pretty busy, but I enjoyed the solitude while I could.

Yelp
Delicious coffees and teas plus a fun take on iced drinks in eco friendly bags. Service is friendly and fast and the space is great for hanging while waiting for your train at Penn
google avatar

Jasmine L.

Yelp
Great spot to study or do some work. Lots of seating with even more space with larger tables and couches on the second floor. Loved the decor, especially the one area with bean bag chairs and fairy lights. Only complaint was the price for a drink ($7) that I thought was mediocore, would suggest getting the chai half sweet.
google avatar

Rina D.

Yelp
Very spacious wfh friendly cafe with yummy coffee! Love that there are two floors for seating with each spot being a bit different.
google avatar

Jeremy K.

Yelp
787 is a great open coffee shop. Plenty of room to find a place to sit down and enjoy your coffee. Nice personal touches make the shop feel unique and fun. I had a regular latte and a coquito latte. Both were great and just what I needed. The service was great! Friendly, personable and excited that I was there having their coffee. Will be back again!
google avatar

Franny A.

Yelp
Aqui esta the new Puerto Rican roaster. A fitting location given Chelse's history and is next to the whiskey bar . Lattes and all the usual suspects including pour overs in a snazzy spacious setting that still feels bar like. The beans decaf mocha were $34 ouch but it's from the farms directly in Puerto Rico. I had a decaf Americano this morning and it was complex and amazing Bienvenido a Chelsea. They have fresh made empanadas too.

Yelp
I love this style of coworking/coffee shop, with cute signs everywhere. These types of places are hard to find these days. Coffee is good, highly caffeinated, and pricey but what can ya do these days. Great service.
google avatar

Patrice C.

Yelp
Great coffee and cute store with swings and lots of seating. I will try all the horchata lattes and this one holds up pretty good.
google avatar

Estefania P.

Yelp
My go to coffee shop in the city this location has the best staff and has so much space in case you need a quick co working spot. The staff has great recommendations if you're unsure what to get.

Nick H.

Yelp
Erica and Manuela were very helpful! They answered all of our complex and detailed coffee questions, and the coffee was to perfection. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Sammie S.

Yelp
I've never had better coffee in my life. Had the dolce de Leche latte and it was outstanding. The barista was so attentive and knowledgeable, even though she was the only one working, which was impressive. The atmosphere was really cool and inviting, perfect for hanging out for a while.
google avatar

Nisha S.

Yelp
Super cute coffee bar conveniently located near penn station! I was so happy to find this place. There is cozy ample seating inside and two outdoor table sets. Great menu of drinks served in fun biodegradable bags versus cups! Hanna was very sweet with taking her time to explain all the beverage options, can't wait to stop in again.
google avatar

Jaycee F.

Yelp
The service was quick. The cold brew was perfect! I wish I had time to sit and enjoy my coffee because the atmosphere was very upbeat and relaxed.
google avatar

Rits M.

Yelp
Really good coffee but totally comes with a price tag. I came here on a rainy day while waiting for my bus and got the rum infused coffee with a pump of horchata. Totally delicious tastes really decadent. And it was $7.72. Nice space to sit, looks loungey and in the summer they keep thr doors open for fresh air. Bathrooms were clean and are in the back and they also have an upstairs area for seating. They don't seen to have more than one person serving and taking cash so it can go a little slow. They are super friendly and helpful tho and do offer a neighborhood discount.

Meera B.

Yelp
My iced latte was sooo watery. The bag was also stupid but whatever. If they were planning on putting drinks in a bag they could have at least planned a hole for the straw lolol
google avatar

Carlos D.

Yelp
This place was suggested by a co-worker and I'm glad that I tried this place out. As soon as you enter, you get amazed by the vibe of the place. It makes you want to stay for a while. I got the iced dulce de leche latte. It was good, sweet (how I like it), and served in a bio-degradable pouch. I also grabbed a chicken empanada which is freshly made and tasted amazing. They had other baked goods. I'm planning to go back to try their other interesting drink flavors.
google avatar

Fay M.

Yelp
The place is cool and the coffee is good, but $6 (no tip included) for a cortado with regular milk ?! Not sure if worth it
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
Was charged almost $20 for a muffin and a cappuccino, which seemed a bit high to me so I asked why the amount was so high and they told me it was because I had "upgraded" to one of their premium beans, which they failed to mention was an upgrade. I had them take the upgrade off and it was still about $17 which still seemed high. Later when I got the email receipt, I found out that I had been charged for 2 muffins instead of one! I contacted the store via their survey about getting a refund but never heard back. Fraudulent - don't go there unless you want to get ripped off
google avatar

Anesa H.

Yelp
We were met by a friendly staff who worked us through the menu. Offered us food as well. He gave us info on the origins of the coffee beans which we appreciated. The whiskey dulce is sweet and delicious. If you are passing by we definitely recommend stopping in!

J D.

Yelp
They were out of the mint infused cold brew which was obscenely overpriced at $11 so I got the ridiculously overpriced $10 rum infused cold brew and then was shocked when it was served in a bag. Seriously...?? This is as woke, annoying, and ineffective as the California plastic straws. It leaks and tips over and is extremely annoying. You would think for $10 you would get at least a compostable cup??

Kenidy M.

Yelp
Came in for a matcha and the staff was so friendly and helpful the drinks were great would recommend

Yelp
My favorite coffee chain in the city. You must get their famous rum infused cold brew or espresso beans. It has a subtle but delicious cinnamony taste.

Yelp
Nestled on West 30th Street in Manhattan, 787 Coffee offers a vibrant taste of the Puerto Rico right in the heart of the city. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of experiencing their unique and flavorful offerings that reflect the rich coffee traditions of Puerto Rico and Mexico. Upon stepping into 787 Coffee, I was greeted by a cozy yet stylish atmosphere, with warm lighting and a welcoming ambiance. The space is thoughtfully designed, providing ample seating across two floors, making it an ideal spot to sip. One of the standout features of 787 Coffee is their innovative approach to coffee. I ordered their signature iced Horchata Latte, which immediately intrigued me with its description of rum infused beans from Puerto Rico. The drink was a true delight, blending the robust flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and dark chocolate seamlessly with the smooth espresso. It was a refreshing and indulgent treat that I would highly recommend. I also ordered their renowned Coquito Latte, a Puerto Rican classic and one of their top sellers. This coconut based creation was a heavenly blend of flavors, featuring a double shot of espresso and a generous dose of love from the baristas. I opted for oat milk, and the dairy free option enhanced the creamy texture of the drink, making it a perfect choice for those with dietary preferences. The service at 787 Coffee was exceptional. The baristas Karlo, Andrea, and Sebastian were not only knowledgeable about their craft but also passionate about sharing the authentic flavors of their heritage. Their friendly demeanor and attention to detail added to the overall experience, making me feel like a welcomed customer. 787 coffee delivers on quality, flavor, and hospitality. Definitely recommend

Yelp
Best coffeeshop in NYC!!!! The service is EXCELLENT! Coffee taste great. It's a great place to come to study or have a meeting in general.
google avatar

Yelp
I popped in this location because it was next door to another errand I was running in the Dirty 30s. It was a stretch to pay $7 for a medium sized Cold Brew, but I had already waited in line for a few minutes, so I thought I'd splurge. Would I like to try the "rum-infused" Cold Brew? There's no alcohol. Sure, I say! Swipe here. $10 !!!??? Yes, the "infusions" are +$3 each. Jesus H. Christ. I'll never be back. It tastes like normal Cold Brew, by the way. This chain won't last long.
google avatar

Wall F.

Yelp
So spacious inside, wasn't expecting there to be this much seating in a Manhattan location. 787 is THE BEST COFFEE in NYC period. Love the coquito latte, and I love that the beans area grown in Puerto Rico and flown in fresh every two weeks. The employees here were incredibly nice and I will definitely come back. If you live/work in the neighborhood there is a discount.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
787 is a chain coffee shop but I got the feeling that this is one of the newer locations in Chelsea. The coffee shop interior has a cool vibe with 787's unique colors, decor, and displayed merchandise. As a vanilla latte lover, I was tempted to get their Horchata Latte but changed my order last minute because I wasn't sure I wanted cinnamon in my iced drink. Instead I opted for the Dolce de Leche Latte. It was sweet like I expected it to be, and very creamy, which reminded me of the flavor coconut. Instead of the usual coffee cup, the drink came in a bag-type container. Personally, I prefer a cup especially when I have stopped by for coffee takeout and want a sturdy container over a flimsy bag. But I do get the uniqueness they're trying to offer. Overall it was a great experience exploring unique coffee but I removed a star because it's very pricey. I appreciate the uniqueness but would be hesitant to regularly get coffee from here - with the same price, I would go for a more reasonably priced coffee shop with as good or better quality coffee.

Michaela G.

Yelp
the nicest people work here!!! came by on a thursday afternoon to do some work before an event nearby, and my experience could not be more positive. one of the workers/baristas came by everyone's table to check in and was genuinely interested in how you liked the food/drink - i barely find that at places with actual table service. great space to work or read. easily found a spot to sit. their blueberry loaf is also so good!
google avatar

Hiroshi N.

Yelp
They probably called the place 787 cuz there's 787 other cafes in NYC that don't serve empanadas and should. Or it's cuz that's how much a bevo costs, but they give u a discount if u're from the area. I think my dulce de leche latte was one of the rum-infused drinks they offer cuz I'm pretty sure I tasted it. It was nice
google avatar

Joanna Y.

Yelp
This was really good coffee and a nice quiet place to sit a while. The people here have really good service!

Savanah K.

Yelp
The coffee is amazing and workers are very helpful with navigating the different options. Good spot to relax, study, or grab a coffee before the train

Jennie F.

Yelp
Overpriced and no authenticity. Went there, ordered two coffees and was wrongly charged $23 for only one coffee. When I asked about the charges and about the second coffee I was told that they made a mistake and that I wouldn't be charged for the second coffee. How did that fix the problem if I was still paying $23. Would not go there again. Looked like they were more concerned about spitting out their mission statement instead of connecting with the customer

Melissa Y.

Yelp
Wanna get ripped off and pay almost 20$ for two cappuccino? Then you're in the right place. They let you choose between two absurdly unnecessary rum, whiskey beans and fail to mention that it's 3$(!!) extra per cup. Ridiculou-save your money and go somewhere else.

Jason L.

Yelp
Barista asked me why I prefer drip coffee over pour overs, I responded with its due to the pricing since their drip coffee is now $5 and pour over is $8. He proceeded to say "it sounds like you dont enjoy "good" coffee". I was astounded by his response, no customer should be looked down upon for choosing drip coffee.
