I had a wonderful experience at 787 Coffee in the West Village. The coffee was excellent — rich, smooth, and clearly high quality — but what truly made the visit special was the service. Ammie was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. She took the time to explain the menu, made great recommendations, and genuinely made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Her positive energy and professionalism really stood out and elevated the whole experience. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, exactly what you want from a neighborhood coffee shop in NYC. I’ll definitely be coming back — not just for the coffee, but for the amazing service as well. Highly recommend!

Amazing coffee! Do not miss. They make their own blends with unique flavours; coffee is smooth with no bitter after taste. Try the coquito and the horchata flavoured lattes with rum beans. Thank you for a lovely afternoon coffee!

I love how quiet and cozy it is, makes it a perfect place to do some work or chill. The service here is super kind and sweet as well. I got the cinnamon rum-infused coffee and it’s sooo good, so fragrant. Will be coming here more!!

the smell of coffee hits like a warm blanket when you walk in. they were out of the whiskey beans but madeup for it by being precious. Rachel was wonderful- what a great coffee experience. and i just found out that its named 787 for its origin story: the area code for Puerto Rico (also in America) by Martin, who was ‘here’ but ‘not here’ (i saw nothing…). also, great merch for sale.

What truly made the experience special, though, was the kindness behind the counter. Martin, the barista, greeted me with such genuine warmth that it instantly set the tone for my visit. When I asked for a recommendation, Martin suggested the whiskey dulce de leche coffee—and wow, it was unforgettable. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, it had just the right hint of sweetness from the dulce de leche and a subtle depth from the whiskey that made every sip feel indulgent without being overwhelming. It was clear that this wasn’t just a random suggestion, but a drink he truly believed in. This café isn’t just about great coffee; it’s about the people and the feeling you leave with. Thanks to Martin’s excellent recommendation and the café’s sweet, welcoming atmosphere, it’s a place I’ll be excited to return to again and again.

Came on a Thursday morning to meet a cutie for a coffee date. We both got the rum cold brew with a splash of milk — the beans are soaked in rum then roasted — it’s a big yes for me. Then I stayed after to do some work & had the mint cold brew w/ splash of milk and a lil simple syrup. Super refreshing and not overpowering. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable about their products and made me feel welcome and comfortable. Now I’m sufficiently caffeinated and also kinda on cloud nine from that date. Soooo…yeah, this place is great.

They had some unique options, my boyfriend and I both got the Rum infused coffee. (His Americano, Mine pour over) It was really nice to try the same coffee prepared differently but both equally enjoyable. The location itself is small but quaint. To add, their coffee cups couldn’t be any cuter (Or true for that matter)

I always knew Puerto Rico had amazing coffee. Tried the Mazapán (peanut-based) latte and wow… I usually don’t order lattes, but this one was too good. And honestly—everyone here is just so sweet 🥰

First time here and of course I'm an iced coffee drinker even in winter. Ordered the dulce de leche latte with oat milk, it was delicious! It came in a bag which was different but cute. The guy working counter was super nice, customer service was great! Definitely coming back to try other coffees.

Such a cute coffee shop to grab a drink, a small bite, or settle in a corner to get some work done! They have ample seating from small circle tables to an 8-seat group table. If you plan on studying, there are a bunch of outlets available by each of the seats so you don't have to worry about finding the table closer to an outlet. The cashier in the front was super helpful and informative about the options they have to choose from. I'm sad I didn't get to try their empanadas because they sold out! I just grabbed a quick drink to go, the dulce de leche latte iced and mannn it was so good! It wasn't too sweet nor was it too bitter since I added another double shot of espresso. Will be back if I'm around this part of town!

Barista did not tamp the coffee puck, leading to a very bitter espresso from over-extraction that was simply not drinkable. This was not just my $5 wasted, but also wasted the effort and talent of the coffee farmers and roasters.

Love 787! This is my second time trying their coffee, but at a diff location and the quality is still consistent! I got the coquito iced latte with oatmilk and it hit the spot! The coconut and cinnamon notes shined through with the richness of the oatmilk. They also have cute decor inside with enough seating.

Adorable little place to have coffee, but have to agree with some of the other reviews about prices. Even for the West Village, a small latte at $7.50 (oat milk up-charge) and $6 for a -- wait for it -- chocolate chip cookie is ridiculous. We are all getting tired of being gouged.

If you want a quick take-out coffee drink, go to Madman or somewhere else.... Vanilla Latte was $10.25+ before Tip screen... some people will pay that b/c they are sitting and working all day with their laptops. But, even for West Village, $10.25 for a take out latte is ridiculous (not even Venti size or fancy flavor like Starbucks).

Quite spacious hip coffee house with rustic-modern feel and exposed brick walls...I love the vibes of the place. Great music...Super cozy...Great selection of specialty drinks.

They have whiskey and rum infused coffee that is so delicious! Really great spot with wifi, outlets, good coffee, bathroom, etc, that most places don't have.

Warm and comfy atmosphere, with yummy drinks and a sweet proprietor. Welcome to the neighborhood!
