7g Roaster Apartments & Restaurant

Absolutely wonderful place, smack bang in the middle of Gaia, at sea level! Reception team were very hospitable. Room B3 enjoyed direct access from the lift; a nice touch, and boasted a fantastic view of Porto across the Douro. The bedroom was large and private, the bed was very comfy, the air-con worked and 2 gorgeous hanging seats to admire the view from. The bathroom was.....75% glass! Enough solid wall for privacy, but not the greatest idea: a glass box! Every member of staff was both friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee was to die for 😉 Will most definitely return.

This a perfect place to start your day in Gaia! We went for the brunch and had some benefit eggs. I am not very picky I liked everything I think you will like it too. The waiters were very helpful and attentive. It is a few steps from the beautiful river side where you can see Porto and the beautiful view. We just decided to spend the day reading next to the river

Amazing coffee shop! I think it's a must do for coffee lovers in Oporto. I did the coffee tasting, which included 4 drinks, for 10 euros. The cappuccino was one of the best I've ever had. Very happy I saw the sign on the street.

We decided to go to the 7g Restaurant and not the apartments. The restaurant is nice, the scene is very hipster, they have an amazing coffee (we tried their awesome flat white) and the food is equally good. Their focaccia is delicious, their ham and cheese toast comes with this absolutely amazing bread, and the scrambled eggs are also perfect, not dry, not to liquidsh. We didnt try the deserts they look super good, especially the tiramisu and the cheesecake. The restaurant is a bit loud and the tables too close to each other but if you ignore the noise and focus on the food it will be a great experience. The staff is nice and the food is served fast. Will definitely go again. Btw, 2 flat whites, 1 eggs benedict, 1 scrambled eggs, 1 pastel de nata and 1 focaccia = 30 euros. You don’t find this in Porto anymore.

7g Roaster Restaurant is a fantastic spot for coffee lovers. We enjoyed their espresso and cortado, both crafted with rich, aromatic Honduras coffee—absolutely delightful! The butter croissant was perfectly flaky and flavorful, complementing the coffee beautifully. A must-visit for anyone seeking quality coffee and a cozy experience. Worth checking out!

I didn't stay in the apartments but had the chance to sample the different types of coffee offered at the café. The staff were very knowledgeable, explaining the origin and brewing methods of each coffee, which made the tasting experience even more enjoyable. I tried four different coffees, and each had its own unique flavor profile. The açai bowl was also delicious. My only suggestion would be to have better signage or a guide at the entrance. I felt a bit lost when I first arrived, as there wasn’t anyone to direct me inside the café. Otherwise, a great experience!

We stayed one night and was mostly just out exploring Porto. The apartment was nice with a great location. Everything was clean and in good condition. Breakfast didn’t start until 9AM and we had to catch an early flight so we did not try the proper breakfast. However they delivered us a basket the night before and it was okay. Parking was a bit of a problem as the closest parking garage was full when we arrived. So had to park in the garage that are under the bridge and it was a 10 min walk to the apartment.

Super nice café even though you are a tea drinker! The tea is well prepared (correct °C for green tea), you can have refills for free and an explanation of the tea. The food is very good as well and the staff very smiley and friendly!
