"7th Street Burger is still riding the city’s smash burger wave. The small chain of burger spots, which started with a single location in the East Village in 2021, has 11 burger shops spread across Manhattan and New Jersey two years later. Brooklyn is next in line. Owner Kevin Rezvani says he’s signed a lease on two storefronts: one in Downtown Brooklyn at 400 Jay Street, at Willoughby Street, and another Dumbo, at 17 Old Fulton Street, near Front Street. A location in Williamsburg is also in the works, although a lease hasn’t been signed. There’s no opening date yet for the new burger shops." - Eater Staff

Google
Small smash burger joint. Quick & fast service. Not a fan of the fries but the serving size was generous.

Google
Servings are small. I got the impossible burger. It was regular size bun was small and the toppings were put on sparingly. The manager at night, jacob, does an incredible job at customer service! Considering the prices here (6.50 cheese burger) it is not that bad tastes good. Jacob deserves a raise! What a pleasant person. Most of my 4 star rating is due to Jacob and the customer service i received. Picture below is a double impossible burger which costs 11$

Very friendly staff, they are continually cleaning so everything is spotless, a good burger and the best fries I have ever eaten in my life!

Google
This spot is a gem! The burgers were flavorful, juicy, and just the right amount of indulgent, with fries that were crispy and satisfying. Perfect for a quick bite. Jaycobs hospitality made the visit even better. He was welcoming, attentive, and created such a positive vibe. My friends and I left happy and full, and the spicy loaded fries were an absolute hit. Definitely worth all the buzz—I’ll be coming back soon!

Google
Not what I expected. The taste, presentation of the food, and serving portion is not what I expected. The taste of the burger, fries, onions, and cheese was very greasy, not to mention soggy fries. Second, the presentation of the food looks like they smothered it with cheese sauce and not very appealing when you look at it. Lastly, the portion was very small for almost $14.00. I was very disappointed with the experience and I will not be eating here again and sorry for the bad review but, I felt like I paid too much for so little. 😅

Google
Best burgers ever 🤩 Must try the spicy loaded fries 🔥 Its in the secret menu 🤫

Google
The best burgers in the city taste the same in Brooklyn too. Loaded fries are always a must

Google
Wow!!! Jacobs, Josh, and Cahlani are simply the best! Combine their exceptional service with the incredible cheeseburger and some ghost sauce, and you’ve got a truly phenomenal New York experience. I’m really going to miss this place!

Yelp
This is exactly what I wanted while visiting Brooklynn. The famous NYC Smash Burger. Don't get me wrong, the fries were very good but next time, I'm skipping the fries and going with two cheeseburgers. I'll be back as this is saved as one of my FAVS....

Magdelyn G.

Yelp
Just okay if you want a smash burger. The place is super small the menu consists of burger, double cheeseburger, impossible burger, fries and chocolate chip cookies. Place is small they have high chairs on the side of the walls to sit maybe eight people max. The cashier was super friendly. I ordered a double cheeseburger it had good flavor but it was super greasy. I wouldn't eat it everyday.

Kisha V.

Yelp
Excellent costumer service. Thank you to the Phenomenal kitchen staff for making me a delicious double cheeseburger cooked to perfection with excellent speed. Very clean and organized franchise

Yelp
After any night of drinking, one of my favorite late night eats is 7th Street Burger. When I got off my subway stop and saw this, I couldn't say no. This location is situated between 5 subway stops at Jay St, so it's convenient for many. I got a simple Cheeseburger ($6.50), which is greasy and cheesy in all the right ways. If I hadn't already just had dinner, I'd highly recommend the loaded fries --so good! You know a spot has perfected what they do when they have such a simple menu.

Yelp
I love this burger. I've loved it since I first tried it on 7th Street, and I'm honestly a little worried now that they've moved in down the street. Whoever is running this biz just gets it. They are doing one thing, and doing it so, so well. It's all so simple. The menu is simple. You just have to answer very easy questions: Do you want a single or a double? Do you want fries with that? That's it. The space is simple. There's a counter where you order, and a small counter where you stand and hoover your burger (and fries if you got them) into your face. There's barely anything else there, and if they turned the music down a bit (I'm old now) it'd be perfect. It's entirely too easy, and entirely too affordable ($6.50 for a single, $9.50 for a double). Unsurprisingly, I'm not the only one who loves it. There's a line at prime lunchtime (haven't been for dinner yet), and after eating it the first time, my wife actually said the words, "It doesn't even need ketchup." We were both astonished, because these are words she's never said about a burger, and words I've never heard her say about a burger. I truly crave it. We crave it. Fuck it, I'm going to get one now.

Yelp
This is my second visit to 7th Street Burger and the smell of those grilled onions hit me as I strolled down Jay Street. This stop was not in my plans, but I must admit it is hard to walk by and ignore all that aroma. I was greeted by the smell of the doubled patty, all beef burgers with American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, warm potato bun, on a grill. This stop was not in today's plans. This place is buzzing with customers, pick-ups, and good customer service. They got my order right. I was in-and-out.

Ann L.

Yelp
Pros: - Classic cheeseburger (w/ onions, pickles, cheese, and sauce), delicious fresh fries, and a Mexican coke....totally hits the spot. Their house sauce is fantastic! The burger is a little on the oilier side which I didn't mind at all. Perfect for a late-night snack after drinking or going out with friends. - Friendly service Cons: - Located in the busiest part of downtown Brooklyn, it is easy to get to with the subway but very difficult with a car. Parking is impossible to find. Note: - This is more of a take-out-only spot with 2 small standing tables. Recommend take-out or delivery (if they offer).

Yelp
Oh what a perfect burger! Tonight, I had a burger craving that was kicking my a**. I pass by 7th Street Burger a few times a week after work but I never go in. I've been tryiiing not to eat too heavy after a certain hour but tonight, I just could NOT help myself. I walked inside, ordered right away and walked out with the most perfect smash burger that I've ever tasted. I ordered a double with everything. It was so hot, cheesy and delicious. The onions were grilled just right and the pickle slices were wonderfully tart. Ohhh... the bag! I have to talk about the aroma wafting from the white paper bag. Such a delight to my greedy senses. I had every intention of waiting to get home to eat it but the delicious smells of hot, fresh burgers between a warm, buttery bun made my stomach growl. I ate it in slow bites while waiting on the bus. I asked for extra sauce and I'm very happy that I did. Definitely going back!

Yelp
This was my second visit to this location, but I've been various locations they have across NY. 7th Street has exploded onto the scene with a wonderful burger, that's actually reasonable in cough (ahem: 5 Guys, take notes) Nonetheless, I came in beside there was no line and I had intent to actually eat elsewhere. The employee at the counter was extremely friendly and struck up a long conversation about the business and their business model. As previously mentioned, I've been to multiple locstions and they always have great employees similar to Chik Fil-A. My order didn't take very long and it was the typical wonderful 7th street burger that I've grown accustomed to. I've never been too keen on the fries, but I did order them along with my burger. Overall, I think it's obvious why they've been able to expand so quickly and within such a short time - they have an excellent product!

Farrah B.

Yelp
Thus is an updated review: Since the opening of this location, it has remained a consistent space of great food, service, and presence. Despite adding additional counter staff, they have added security in the evening hours, which feels more secure for those sauntering in after dark. The staff is stiff friendly as ever and the playlists remain the highlight of you wait while your food is prepared. The burgers are phenomenal and remain as such. I hope one day, they will carry a few flavors of Baonanas banana pudding.

Yelp
This is my 4th time coming to a different 7th Street Burger location. I have been to the OG one on 7th street in East Village, the LES one, the West 23rd Street one, and now the Brooklyn one. The best way I can describe 7th Street Burger is a simplified version ShakeShack. And it tastes so similar to SS's burgers and at a lower price. I love how simple, and the limited options it offers - either the Impossible (vegetarian) or the Beef burger. Either coke, sprite or water. Either fries or no fries. No BS, you get what you need and you are out of there in 10 mins. This is a non-complicated and straight forward burgers chain. I think these are the exact reasons that 7th Street is so popular and why the business model works so well. Thus, the rapid expansion in the last couple of years. Anyway, how does the food taste? Consistent! It's the same taste in every store and I like that. $8 for a vegan burger vs a ShakeShack $13 I would take this anytime. Overall, the experience of 7th Street Burger is often one that you come and get what you need and get out kind of food chain. In the Brooklyn store, there is a small counter you can eat at. Or you can walk 7 mins over to Albee Square, there is a mall there with a food court downstairs. A staff told me about it and it was a nice place to explore. Definitely a good experience / date night for those who don't mind venturing out of their boroughs to go to Downtown Brooklyn! PS: Thank you Yelp and 7th Street Burger for given me an opportunity to do two of my favorite things - food and explorations. Look forward to doing more!

Yelp
I feel i should copy and paste my reviews for 7th st burger since they're popping up everywhere all over the city and they're pretty much all the same- excellent. My son really loves the burgers here. He loves the combo of cheese, onions, and soft potato rolls. These probably are the best classic cheeseburgers in the city. No frills, no lettuce or tomatoes. There's not much seating here, but at least the burgers travel well. They get to steam in the wrapper on the way home.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Want an authentic American burger? This is the SPOT! prices are reasonable especially because it doesn't taste like a fast food joint. The fries were delicious and I'm not a fries kind of girl! There's no seating it's very small but it does have a standing counter section to eat

Nikki B.

Yelp
This place used to be a Buffalo Wild Wings or some other chicken spot. When they left, this place pop up. I ignored it for a few months. Decided that today is the day. First impression of this place looked a little sad. White tile, music blaring; I did see orders for pick up on the side. So somebody likes this place. On the wall was a disclaimer, that pickle and onions and a white sauce would be served on the burgers. Interesting. Has nothing to do with me i thought. I decided to order the impossible loaded fries, which I figure maybe came with some type of cheese sauce but nope, it came with the onion white sauce on my limited amount of fries that I seen them press down to make a level playing field. Needless to say, I knew this might not be too good . The pictures shows what the sauce looks like. This is a chain I'm hoping they are better at others locations and not this one. I don't think I'll be back.

Aelita P.

Yelp
7th street burger has a hold on me. The double impossible burger is perfect and takes up far too much of my brain space. I wish it came with more pickles, but I always wish that. There are never enough pickles. The fries are also very good.

renje g.

Yelp
- very busy on a money night - roughly a 20 minute turnover - burger and fries is really filling - double burger is delicious - spicy fries can get messy - no space to sit down - there's barely any space to stand and eat - not many drink options other than sprite, coke, water

Disciple N.

Yelp
I stopped by 7th Street Burger for my first experience. It's a small compact spot and great if you're in a rush or on the go. Eric, the counter guy is sporting an INDY sweater, and with the game blasting assures me that the double burger I ordered with some fries and a Sprite is the better option than what's up the block. A good thing I'm an Indy fan too. I indulge on the 62 bus going to Williamsburg. I am not disappointed. That burger was great. I love the sauce they put on it too.

Erin O.

Yelp
Stop in for a quick burger and fries. Delicious with everything on it - xtra pickles. Great service and friendly staff !

Gabriella N.

Yelp
The location is prime, as you can get here from multiple trains! I had a single patty and it was cooked to perfection - crispy edges and juicy insides. I also firmly believe that the best burgers come on potato rolls, so they had my heart with this one. I was there at an odd hour so I didn't get a double, but based on the size of the single patty, I think the double would be been manageable. Delicious yet not too heavy. Next time I'll come for the fries too, but I wasn't too hungry. The place is mostly "to-go", but you can post up at a standing table in the corner if you want to eat inside.

Erin M.

Yelp
7th street is consistently one of the best burgers for me. The food doesn't always come out instantly because there's usually a good amount of people there when I am, but it never takes too long. The fries are perfect when they first come out, the burgers are always tasty and I always love a coke in a glass bottle.

Nancy A.

Yelp
The burger spot looked kind of small and simple along with a simple menu. Burgers here are very affordable compared to other burger joints. The burger tasted really good and was juicy to the bite. Too bad it was kind of small for me. I should have gotten a double patty to fill me up. Fries are okay and few seating tables. It's a corner set up so it opens up both sides. I will stop by next time when I'm hungry in the area to get a double patty.

Bri K.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this on the go spot for when your craving a good old juicy burger! The fries were crispy and lightly seasoned. With only 4 things on the menu there was little to no error to be made lol. Plus the wait was 15-20 min but felt like less than 10 min. I got the double cheese burger which was perfectly sized (bigger than a Wendy's burger) and tasted sooooooo good (much better than a McDonalds burger). The juiciness of the burger mixed with the grilled onions and cheese made the perfect burger for me. Im not a burger girl cause I hate the meatiness taste but the flavors that masked it was spectacular. Service was awesome and the music was bomb might I add, very Brooklyn.

Julie J.

Yelp
Burger was great with even with no bun, food is fresh. Whew I was eating fries they smell great . The employees are nice. They are also open late, its a busy corner but everyone is trying to get their burgers and go. Its not a sitting location either but location is very clean

Nazira C.

Yelp
I just got a burger, it was good, and kinda tasted like White Castle. Chill burger, nothing to run home about though.

Kevin K.

Yelp
Was in a mood for burger, so I decided to give this place a try. Love the burger, is tasty and burger was juicy. Love their fries too. Just wish there's more topping on the burger and if the burger were little bigger that will be perfect. Overall it is a good burger. I would go back again...

Qi G.

Yelp
I've been to this location a few times and was impressed with the consistency of their burgers and fries. The double cheeseburger was delicious and less greasy than Five Guys. The fries were also very well seasoned and just the perfect amount of crisp. I also highly recommend the house sauce to go with the fries. Add a Mexican coke and the meal is perfection!

Henry M.

Yelp
Worst 7th street burger I've had thus far. So greasy the parchment paper ripped open. And the fries were cooked in spoiled oil. Tasted tannic and old. This is definitely not on bar with the rest of 7th street's usual quality

Valery C.

Yelp
My god- this burger was phenomenal. Perfectly toasted bun, right amount of sauce, hot and absolutely delicious. I had the cheeseburger and frie- fries were also hot and so crispy on the outside but pillowy inside. Also the gentleman at the register was very warm and friendly. Service was pretty fast too, even with the amount of people in there

Chris L.

Yelp
Visited the new 7th Street Burger location in Downtown Brooklyn. It took over the Buffalo Boss location. The store is clean and small but not enough room to eat if it does get crowded. However, we are here to talk about the burger. 7th Street Burger is by far one of the best burger places to eat at. The fried are alright. Nothing crazy. I would recommend the burger 1000 time. Service also was amazing and smooth

Ming W.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for a good burger and you just happen to be around downtown Brooklyn. This is the place to be. The restaurant is small but neat and clean. Service can take a bit longer than your usual fast food chain. Give yourself patience because the reward is a delicious and perfectly cooked burger. Go for the double cheese, it's topped with grilled onions and special house made sauce. It's a bit greasy but definitely beefy and juicy. Take napkins. A lot of napkins. You're gonna need them.

Stan S.

Yelp
Wow, the burgers are amazing...probably the best smashburger I've ever had! The fries are really good too, nice and crispy. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because there is very limited space to eat on-site (no seating at all) and they have Coke in bottles but no Diet Coke. The burgers would be 5 star, though!

Zee M.

Yelp
So because I don't eat beef, I got the vegan burger, and it was literally the best burger I've ever had. The service was terrible, the guy working the register was super unpleasant to deal with, his attitude was just very nasty but the food was so good. I'll come back and deal with him again.

J Scott L.

Yelp
Stopped in here since it got good reviews and I felt Iike a burger while visiting from out of town. It's a to-go spot only, there is no dining area but that was fine, my hotel was just around the corner. Let me say the reviews don't do this place justice. The burgers are phenomenal! I got two doubles and they literally melted in my mouth. The gentleman working behind the counter was great and my order was out very fast. The menu is small, single and double cheeseburgers, fries and Mexican Coke and Mexican Sprite, that's it! But what they do well, they do GREAT. If you're in the mood for a burger and in the area, don't pass this spot by. You won't regret it!

Ashan M.

Yelp
7th street smash burgers are good, so glad they opened one in Brooklyn, the double cheeseburger is great with the Mexican coke.

Mora B.

Yelp
This review is just for the food I can't talk about anything else since this was ordered via Uber eats... Howeverrrrrrr that burgerrrr was sooo go needed more seasoning like salt, but their house sauce did me right. I'm not ah fan of thick burgers so these burgers do are perfect for me. The house sauce was really good didn't overwhelm with mayo thankfully potato buns for the win. Although this was ordered online I have passed the location in the city and it's simple fast casual service with good burgers and fries. V

Cee G.

Yelp
7th street burger on Jay st is a small burger joint. Just enough space to purchase your food and wait. There are no seating areas, but if you want to eat inside the have a corner bar table to stand and eat. My double cheeseburger was delicious it has grilled onions pickles, cheese and house sauce. It is a smash burger which I appreciate. Even thought it was a double cheeseburger it was not big and overwhelming when you eat it, The beef loaded fries I wasn't a fan of. It was too much cheese and sauce but if you like that it's great for you!! I would have them a 5 star rating but the forgot to add my regular fries that I ordered; which I should have check before I left. I know everyone makes mistakes but still need to deliver the items people are asking for. The service was fast and the cashier was pleasant. This is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. Just check your order to make sure you have everything!!!

Guynumber 2.

Yelp
Probably the worst burger l've ever had. The burger had no salt not even the sauce could help it and it was really greasy. The fries tasted like old oil also had no salt. Staff had an attitude, do yourself a favor Burger King, shake shack or five guys are all a block away from this place. Go there instead. Also if you're going to charge shake shack prices don't make your burger the size of a McDouble if the taste can't back it up.

Shavon B.

Yelp
I love the Burgers, however American cheese as the only option sucks. Please give other choices.

Alexander C.

Yelp
Excellent double smash burger. Onions cooked just enough to still have a little bite. Good amount of yellow american. A little greasy, but in the best way. I wish the beef had been seasoned slightly more aggressively but literally everything else was perfect.
