7th Street Burger Upper East Side

7th street burger is a smash burger joint. I had the double smash burger with everything on it and it was good I have to admit. The burger was nice and juicy not dry like other smash burgers Ive had in the past. The fries were really good nice and crisp probably the best fries I've had in a long long time. The joint is kinda on the small side when I was there it was full of tourist who looked like they were hanging out but I was lucky to get a seat.

Cheap and fast, hot juicy solid basic burger with a few toppings. No frills fast food in NYC is not always easy to get.

The cheeseburgers, the doubles, and fries were excellent. The price is reasonable. The choice of beverages a bit limited; Mexican coke, sprite, water. No diet sodas. They initially forgot one item of our order, to apologize they gave us 3 free burger tix, best customer service ever!

7th Street Burger offers good quality food at a fair price. The French fries were delicious, and the burger was tasty as well. My only concern is that it was a bit too oily, but overall it’s a great spot for a decent-priced meal.

Delicious local NY smash burger spot. The buns were delicious with a good sweet flavor. The burger was a classic smash. Good cheese and dressing. It's definitely worth a visit. Many locations around NY. Be sure to grab a Mexican coke. They offer a Military and Veteran discount.

Juiciest burgers I've ever eaten. Fries are pretty good too. Fast service and reasonable prices. On average, I eat here once per month. Never had a bad experience here. I'll continue to order from here. As for atmosphere, there is none. NOT a place for a cozy, romantic date. One orders a good juicy burger and either eats at the counter and leaves, or takes it to go.

Nothing fancy about this spot. But the burgers were impressive. Everything is made to order but they move really fast. Can’t go wrong with this place.

This spot is a solid one'! I finally tried their cheeseburger and fries with a Sprite. The cheeseburger was great! Hits the spot of a good burger but it was too small! Fries were great and seasoned, even better with ketchup. The place is small with no seating they only have somewhere you can stand and eat. It was pretty busy when I went in but I had ordered pick up and it was ready super fast! The mexican sprite was amazing as well for the drink. I would recommend ordering pick up / online if it is during their busy times.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Once we ordered and grabbed a seat it was only about a 5 minute wait until our food was ready for pickup. The space is very clean but the decor is underwhelming. Everything is white or chrome and lacks any charm or uniqueness. It almost feels like they opened before it was ready (although this is probably not the case). I think adding things to the walls and some color could really help the space feel more welcoming. I'm a huge fan of smash burgers- these were good but left a bit to be desired in my opinion. The burgers were very small and very greasy. There was far more bun than meat and a lot of sauce. It didn't seem like the patty had any sear that would've added nice caramelization and flavor. Personally, I like more seasoning in the meat and a better meat to bread ration. The fries were awesome- definitely better than comparable restaurants like five guys or shake shack. I also liked that their cokes are served in glass bottles, that was a nice touch. Overall, I would recommend 7th street burger for a late night drunk bite after the bars for something cheap and greasy, but it won't be my go to place to get a smash burger in Astoria.

The ambience in this restaurant is great. The staff is friendly and it is a relaxed environment. This restaurant serves the best impossible burgers. The burger is well seasoned and juicy. This restaurant has a bathroom that is clean which is a major plus. I will be returning very soon.

Always a hit, like their other locations. I love their spicy loaded fries and it really hit the spot. The patty was delicious and the fries were very crispy. I liked the nice sitting area at this location.

Amazing burger! It is a bit a bit greasy and is made to order, so there will be a bit of a wait after. But a fair tasting burger. I had a double cheeseburger with plain fries and a soda and it was good. I would order again. I'd give it 4.5 stars.

Quick and straight to the point. Burger was delicious. It reminded me of a fancier Big Mac!!! Simple toppings yet just enough. I'd say it's a better version of McDonalds. Casual ambiance.

Are you a west coast transplant missing in n out? Well stop. This is better. The special sauce is better and comes in a spicy option. A smash burger so good it has me wondering if we should smash more of our foods. The fries also don't need to be drenched in the special sauce (unlike other aforementioned burger joints) but they should be and can be. Get the loaded beef fries with the sauce, onions, and beef patties chopped up on top of them. No where to sit but I think that's part of the "charm" here. Service was fast and wait was short. Definitely worth a try for one of the best fast food style burgers out there.

I think the burger was alright. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The beef itself just wasn't seasoned very well. The cheese and the onions carried the burger. The fries also were on the just okay side. Even though it was packed the service was very quick! The food came out hot! It's great that the place is open up late. It was on the cheaper end but I think I would rather get something else if looking for a cheap bite.

Not gonna lie i thought this place was going to be overrated. Not the case. The prices are super reasonable and the food is good. Let's back up. The vibe is food counter. You're grabbing something off a very limited menu but because of that they're getting you out of there super quick. In fact, i saw bags of already made burgers when i walked in. Don't worry, with the hype, price, and quality, these burgers don't taste like they've been sitting around. i ordered the double cheeseburger and fries. I'm usually a single patty kinda guy but i was feeling feisty. Fries were simple and on the crispier side. Burger was simple, greasy, and tasty. It comes with ketchup but ask for their burger sauce on the side. Basically if you're looking for a $15 meal in ny that's very decent make a pit stop.

First time trying this place after hearing so much about it and it did not disappoint!! The beef is really juicy and freshly made. The bun is nice and soft and buttered. Service was also super quick for a weekend afternoon though we did some before the rush. There are no tables, but you can eat off to the side or outside at the tall tables. If I were to be picky and critique, I would like more pickles in my burger!! Definitely would be back and happy I got the double patty.

Decent burger and decent prices. Definitely not worth coming back for when there are so many amazing burger options though. Service was quick and the workers were very kind.

Average burger and fries. I think for the price it's fair. $6.50 for a small cheeseburger that has not much flavor. The fries were crispy. I don't think I would go back. Food was very quick! Might be better as a quick snack.

Went to 7th street for a quick lunch after seeing the MET museum which was fun and efficient. This is a super casual spot with fast service and no chairs so better to take it to go or eat outside! We ended up ordering the cheeseburger - I like how the meat is thin and the cheese adds yummy cheesiness. The bun was super soft and I liked that the burger wasn't too heavy. We also got a side of fries and sauce which completed the meal perfectly. Overall good burger!

One of the first places I ate while visiting NYC. I've heard locals are mean. The staff here busted that myth. They were friendly and struck up a nice conversation. I also looked up best burger spots in the city prior to visiting. 7th street burger always was on the top 5 on lists of best burgers. It lived up to the hype and may be one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Wanted to come back before leaving but just didn't have the time. This will be my first stop if I ever visit again. Reasonably priced too. Less than $15 for a burger and water. Restaurant is tiny and narrow. There are standing only tables. No sitting areas here.

mmmm yum. Smash burgers are the new thing and 7th street burger takes the top slot IMO right now. The flavor and juiciness of the cheese burger is unmatched. Consistently also is excellent. The fried are also top notch. Simple fried but for some reason taste extra good. Hopefully as more locations pop up, they maintain their deliciousness!

I went here twice and had the same experience each time. The workers were very nice. Not long of a wait. But the burger was the greasiest thing I have ever eaten in my life. I didn't even taste bread or beef. Just oil.

One of the best burgers that you can get in New York City. The site on 83rd and 2nd Ave. is a big supporter of healthcare workers. They offer a 50% off of the total. So healthcare come out and support them just bring your badge. Now on to the food. The burger is served on a soft and warm potato bread bun onions ,pickles and cheese. The fried are cooked perfectly ( I love a crunchy fry ). The service is fast and efficient ( everything is cooked to order ). There is a small stand up area to eat at. Side note : banana pudding is available!!!! And it's outstanding!!! Check out Baonanas !!! It's Jersey based but located now in the city...... they specialize in all types of banana pudding.

I would definitely recommend this location. Food came out fresh and hot, it was so good! Buttery burgers and perfectly seasoned fries. I'd go back. Service was ok, but workers were quick to clean up after guests which kept their restaurant looking clean and attractive.

I worked all day into the evening and stopped by my local bar before going home to have dinner, sadly I didn't make it before the kitchen was closed. However, I stayed and had a couple of beers, and by that time, I was starving. So, I pulled out my trusty Yelp app and looked to see what was close and open- not too many places, but I saw 7th Street Burger and decided it would have to suffice. I ordered my burger on their app, finished my beer, and strolled down Second Avenue to the restaurant. I was surprised as to how busy it was. I waited a few minutes and then they called my name, I grabbed my bag and walked to my apartment a block away. Upon opening my bag, I found a juicy and delicious cheeseburger and fries, which I happily wolfed down. It was delicious and just what I needed. Funny, I have walked by this location a hundred times but never went there. I am glad I did now, and I will definitely go back, especially late nights!

This place is clutch on the late night. I know I shouldn't eat fast food but sometimes you do bad deeds. The classic cheeseburger and fries get the job done. Sometimes the wait time is kinda long for something so simple but they do get a lot of orders. The clerks are friendly. Vibes are young college night out. Place is pretty clean. Great value burger spot that recently opened on the upper east side. Ordered just a basic cheeseburger and the loaded fries. Both were very good. Personal preference was the loaded fries, which are basically In n Out animal style fries + a chopped burger. No frills. Burger bun was pillowing and delicious

I love the burger and fries here but wow this is GREASY. I guess that's a part of the shtick but I think it goes a little too far. I would gladly eat here again but only when I'm feeling like my stomach can handle it. I'll pack a pepto.

Chewy potato bun. Lots of cheese. Smashed patties. Moderate volume of generic burger toppings. This thing was satisfying. There's nothing groundbreaking about this burger. It's just good. The inside of this place is cleared out and it's just a takeout joint for the most part.

Delisssshhhhh! I am a smash burger lover. A regular burger doesnt hit I need to flavor punch and fat from a smash burger. If you like Shake Shack, you'll love 7th street. Its an elevated and better version of Shake Shack. More flavor, nice and juicy, cheese was melted and cheesy. Also the fries are crispy but soft on the inside saur good!

My husband and I came here for a Yelp Elite and man, we loved these burgers so much we were ready to pack up our things and move to the east side. There aren't any frills here. They serve smashed burgers and fries (plus they have vegetarian options!). We have been on the hunt for the best burger in the city and we think we might have found it. The best part? It's affordable! Would recommend this place highly, especially if you're in the mood to grab something quick. We went around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon and the vibes were very chill.

The food is extremely good but the atmosphere is very intense. There are teenage boys everywhere which I don't like because they cause a commotion. It's also very unclear where the line begins which makes me nervous. The workers are very kind and attentive. -- Dr. McGee

Not everything is great but their burger is something special. I ordered the double cheese burger here. The burgers tastes a bit of homemade with a special kick to it. It's juicy with the onions and soft bun, I'm in love. The fries were a disappointment as there was nothing special the fast food restaurants actually makes better fries. I'm not too sure about paying $3.50 for a Mexican coke as well. The Mexicans use cane sugar instead of the American version using high fructose corn syrup but paying more for a tiny bottle isn't worth it. I'm a Diet Coke fan anyway which I'll run to the deli across the street for a more than double the size bottle for less next time. I'll still give this place 5 stars because of how special their burgers are. Next time I'm just ordering only the double cheeseburgers.

Looking for a juicy smash burger... 7th street fulfilled that for me. Fresh hot juicy burger cheese onions and special sauce. I felt like I was in Heaven. I enjoyed every bite with my Mexican spirit on the side it went down smooth. Service was quick and painless food was fresh and fast. No seating area but that's cool burger on the go... definitely coming back

7th Street Burger Upper East Side on Second Avenue at 83th Street After attending a Yelp Event at this location of 7th Street Burgers I've decided it's in my top three fast food burgers. Everything about this burger reminds me of the burgers when I was in high school only better. The fries were the taste and texture I remember from high school too. The fries are just the right amount of salt too. I love their special burger sauce. It's a business that keeps the menu simple and sticks to what they do best. I tried the double cheese burger but now I'm sticking to the single. The double burger was too much for me. The loaded fries are a meal by themselves. I get two or three sides of fries out of my loaded fries order. I still want to try the grilled cheese sandwich. This place gets busy with delivery and take out. Don't look to sit and relax over your meal. Their sidewalk seating across from the subway station just doesn't appeal to me. It's a high traffic corner with both vehicles and pedestrians. There's a counter inside if you want to stand to eat. All I can say is try 7th Street Burgers. If you aren't into beef there's a Impossible Burger option. Don't forget to write a review cause I'm interested in what you think!

It's a delicious burger but kinda overhyped and overpriced for the size I finish it in 2 bites so it's almost like you need to buy 3 to feel satisfied.

Another 7th Street Burger loc does not disappoint! I came here last week with my kids and we ordered some burgers and fries. Their menu is not huge. If you're looking for a customizable bistro burger, look elsewhere. These guys make simple burgers and fries really, really well. We ordered all double cheeseburgers because, why not? If you're not as hungry as we always are, you can get a single, with or without cheese, and if you're not an omnivore, grab one of their impossible burger options. I'm unsure of all of their locations offer this, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they now make a loaded chopped cheese fry side, with a spicy option. Their naked fries are very good, double-fried and crispy but soft inside. They top the fries with chopped ground beef, house sauce and onions, and it's just amazing. I ordered one of these bad boys and the whole fam loved it. All of their burgers come with onions, cheese, pickles and house sauce, so if you don't want the extras, let them know in advance. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Dom and he was very nice. After ordering my food, I sat in the front of the restaurant on their little wooden bench. When my order was ready, Dom brought my food to me, which I appreciated. The restaurant has limited space indoors, but they do have some table that they put out front, weather permitting. Inside, they do have a long bar where you can eat your food while standing, right next to the napkins that you're sure to use in abundance. Their food is good. Plain and simple. I wish I lived closer. They need to open up a Bx location, selling those chopped cheese fries, and they'd make a killing. They're definitely worth a drive for pick up.

TIP: You can bring your vegetarian friends here because they make impossible smash burgers and my friend said it was delicious! The fries are made fresh, crispy, and hot. Solid job. DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER Melty, gooey, buttery bread - it kind of all just melts in your mouth but not in a gross way. Kind of like shake shack burgers but oilier and less gross than the experience of eating a 5 guys burger (I said what I said). I wish it was a little burger but it also wasn't an expensive burger compared to what you'll see in Manhattan. The smash quality definitely does add quality and crispy texture to the flavor of the burger which I really enjoy. It's nothing that makes the patty crunchy, but you have these thin, thoroughly browned patties that are packed with browned flavoring. TIP: get a mexican coke to pair with your burger, can't find these everywhere! Also, in the fridge, you'll find some dessert options from baonanas, a banana pudding spot that's blowing up right now, especially if you like Ube. Apparently, even if you don't like banana pudding, it will surprise you!!

Greasy smashed burgers done right. No frills and no extra, just straight up simple burgers with cheese and onions with house sauce. Burgers are made to order and fries are fresh and crispy. About a 10 min wait for it to be done. They only have one drink, Mexican Coke, which is pretty good. But wish they have Mexican sprite. Some people like the dark stuff, but the clear stuff is just as good.

It was quite busy when we arrived and we were told our order would take about 20 min. We just went for a stroll around UES while we waited, so it was fine. Despite how busy it was, there was only one staff at the counter, who was friendly and on top of things. They have a bar counter inside and a couple of tables outside. Spots open up fairly quickly and we were able to eat inside. My bf and I both ordered a Double Cheeseburger and Fries, both of which were solid. Pricier, but also higher quality than your average fast food burger.

When someone wants to talk dirty to me, it's easy. All they have to say is... a burger, melted American cheese, pickles, onions, and a special sauce - ooooooo, that's what will make me legs weak. And that's what 7th Street Burger is dishing out. I mean, it's a simple menu, but done extremely well. The burgers are delicious and so thankful for the humbleness of their purity and tastiness. And so glad they are in my 'hood. Welcome to the UES!

I just ordered 7th Street Burger on UberEats and I am beyond pleased. I devoured my double cheeseburger and fries. (My friend ordered the impossible burger and she loved it.) I can hands-down recommend the food here. Thank you for such delicious food and an incredible value.

I've been craving a good burger and this one from 7th Street Burger hit the spot! I came here for a Yelp Elite event. My friend and I each got the double cheeseburger and we shared the loaded fries and regular fries. The loaded fries we got "spicy" - and you can taste a little kick for sure! The regular fries were good and crispy enough. The burger was good and filling. I will definitely come back!

I am not a burger person in general but I love this place. The fries are extremely good and fresh. Since I am a vegetarian, my only option was Impossible burger which was very filling. Also the ube pudding was so delicious!! Definitely visiting again.

Location opened up right in front of the Q yellow line station in front of 86 street. Right when you get off the train at 83 you can't miss it. Easy menu. Ordered the double cheeseburger fries and beef fries with Mexican coke with the cashier, very friendly guy. Kind of pack during dinner time so was counted a 15 minute wait. You can smell the aroma of the food inside. There are seatings outside the restaurant. I wish they had stool so we can enjoy it more while sitting. We end up standing eating the food. When our food was up, the guy bought it to us. The burger was nice but I think their other location had done it better. The fries with beef and cheesy was delicious. Followed by a good bottle of Mexican coke and you have yourself a full filled meal!

Hands down the best burgers in New York City. Big fan of their original joint in the East Village. And now a regular at this and their other location. Great burgers. Great staff. A definite go to for all.

I got a cheese burger with fries and my friend got the impossible burger with fried and we both got mexican sodas For starters this spot has a loooong line - rightfully so as these burgers really hit the spot. Expect to wait coming here. Prices are also so reasonable considering Manhattan standard prices. The cheeseburger was the perfect amount of greasy and came with 2 patties to make me extra full. the cheese was perfdctly melted and the inside had onions and pickles - perfect burger toppings. A classic solid burger! The fries were thick and crispy - again super classic french fries you cannot go wrong with these. Portion size of the fries was generous too. 10/10 recommend and will truly be returning

Lol didn't get a pic before i took a few bites but it was too good! The cheeseburger is so good. Super simple but absolutely delicious. And the loaded fries are everything as well. It's like all the cheese burger ingredients on the fries.. it's fire 20/10!

Burgers delivered. Delicious, no fuss, no muss, cheeseburgers. Whether you ordered the original, or the impossible burgers, it did not disappoint. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. Mostly a take out type of restaurant, with a few table tops, to enjoy your delicious grubs right away. The staff were friendly, jovial and courteous. The bun was soft, the patty was juicy, the melted cheese and sauce with pickles and onions was on point, and the big sliced pickle in the middle added texture and flavor! I really savored each bite! The restaurant has a side bar you can enjoy the meal or a couple tables and seats outside. Very happy that they opened this place on the UES - great addition! The workers were super cool too - friendly, funny and helpful. This will be my regular neighborhood burger joint going forward!

Was treated to a comped burger, fries, and a drink from Yelp Elite and 7th Street Burger did not disappoint. The burger is the right amount of greasy, it's your typical hearty burger when you're craving one. The fries are crisped to perfection and I'm impressed that they serve Mexican Coca Cola (with sugar), a rare find. There was no line when we walked in around 7pm on a Sunday, and the food came out hot and promptly. There isn't much space to eat here but there's plenty of standing room for a quick bite before you're on your way.

It's fine, kind of like shake shack certainly in the same category in type of burger etc. it's decent though and apparently open late. Nowhere to sit inside though which is not great.
