Went last night to check out this spot and geeked out so hard that my homie had to Phoenix Down me. Their beer selection is a little small, but what they do serve is fantastic. We tried a flight of the regulars, then had a taster of each of their seasonals, so we explored the entirety of their offerings. I can't tell you which one was my favorite, because that'd be like trying to pick a favorite Souls game (they're all different and amazing in their own way [even #2 {which is actually my favorite}]). The White and Black Mage were great for what they are- I'm not a huge Wit or Stout fan, but these were thoroughly enjoyable. The Assassin's Creed IPA and Legend of Zymer DIPA were both really nice, the latter having a citrusy head that smelled like amazing body wash. Now, the seasonals are what really stood out. The Princess Peach was pure bliss, and I think it was 9-10% so it packed a wallop. The bread pudding one (I don't remember the name, but it tastes like spiced bread pudding) came home with me in a single growler. The gose... oh, that gose. Slightly salty with a hint of sweetness, like a swig of estus after one's first victory over the Capra Demon.
You know what I thought was *REALLY* amazing??!?! NO HAZY IPAS! Right now 'tHe SCenE' is flooded with hazy IPAs and IT'S JUST TOO MUCH PEOPLE STAHP IT ALREADY JEEBUS! But here, there wasn't a single one. Though I'm sure that if they DID make one it'd be fantastic, I was very happy to see that they didn't have any on tap. Apparently the owner is kinda over them as well, so I know that I have a kindred soul out here in the west valley!!!
