Great interior and comfy bar stools. Friendly service. I didn't like the drinks. Of the two we tried ($27.14 before tip) one was okay and the other was rough: overly sour and unbalanced/strong alcohol flavor. I'm shocked bc we go to the Tack Room a lot. I've had their entire cocktail menu, which reads a lot like the 8-Track menu. Even ordered the same drink in both places. Same bar group and a bartender at Tack Room has mentioned creating cocktails for 8-Track. For whatever reason, the Tack Room drinks are better--and consistently excellent over time. I would come here for pool and a can of beer.

Came to 8-Track for their Love Island watch party with a couple friends and it was so fun but very busy! If you decide to come to any kind of watch party in the future try to get here early there’s two tvs one in front of the bar and then one kinda tucked away in a booth area. This was my first time coming here and it is super cool and fun how it’s decorated. It’s a sci-fi themed bar with awesome murals, they have bar seating, high tops, booths/couches, and a pool table. It’s right on the corner of 21st and P, parking isn’t bad just all street parking from what I could tell. The drinks were nice, we got their themed drinks, and they provided free snacks which was really nice! The bartenders were nice and they handed the rush of people well!! I definitely want to come back on a regular night to get a better feel of the vibe.

There isn’t food here only drinks. I’ve been here a few times and the drinks are always good. The vibe is really cool and a good spot to hang with friends and have drinks.

Went on a Tuesday evening for a casual drink and thoroughly enjoyed the environment. They really committed to the theme from the decor to the menu to the music, everything was retro. There’s a whole story about the place on the first page with thoughtful descriptions for each drink. The one bummer was there was no food whatsoever, no appetizers or snacks or anything.

For our date nights my wife and I often frequent venues that we are familiar with and are fond of. Although there is safety in doing so, you can find yourself easily growing bored of visiting the same spots. Therefore, I was ecstatic when we decided to end our night downtown having drinks with friends at a spot that I have had bookmarked for quite a while… 8-Track! If you have read my past reviews, you have probably gathered that I am big on places and things that evoke nostalgia; for that reason I was excited to finally visit the establishment. Entering the bar, we were greeted by a friendly employee who carded us all (being carded at 40 is so flattering). Although it was a fairly busy Saturday night, we were able to find seating against the wall for our party of six. My wife and I were both running low on energy, so we made the wise decision to order Expresso Martini’s off of the cool retro looking menu. Although slightly sweeter than most Expresso Martini’s that we’ve had, it was tasty and did the job! We definitely want to make a future visit so that we can try the elevated cocktails such as the “Ya Don’t Know Jack ‘N Coke” and hopefully secure the pool table (unfortunately it was occupied the entire time we were in the bar). Not sure if this is possible since it is a fairly small venue, but it would be nice to have at least two pool tables…just a suggestion – not a complaint. Thank you 8-Track!

Great retro place that somehow also feels new. Atmosphere is chill and there is a pool table. Loads of nostalgia from the decorations to the music.

Look… I wanna like this place. It’s got a cool vibe, close by, and isn’t a divey destination given some of the nearby neighbors. But it doesn’t really have much to offer. The expensive cocktails they have on their admittedly cool menu have ranged anywhere from mediocre to garbage. Such a shame, too. You’d figure that a new bar with such nearby competition would strive to do better with their drinks. I’ve now opted to just getting beers there because I at least know the quality consistency with those. Why do I go back, you ask? It’s close by. And on a night where I’m showing friends around midtown, it happens to be an option from time to time. I’d happily go back more frequently if the quality of drinks matched the price, but that just isn’t the case.

I recently visited a bar in Sacramento called Eight Track, and I had a great time. The place has a cool 80s theme, which really adds to the fun atmosphere. From the retro decor to the classic arcade games, it felt like stepping back in time. It's definitely a unique spot that's worth checking out if you're into that kind of vibe. One of the highlights of my visit was their Pina Colada drink. It was incredibly refreshing and well-made, standing out as the best drink I tried there. On the flip side, I wasn't too impressed with their soda water-based drinks. They just didn't have the same appeal as the Pina Colada, which really stole the show for me. Overall, Eight Track is a great place to hang out with friends, enjoy some nostalgic tunes, and sip on some tasty cocktails. If you go, I highly recommend trying the Pina Colada—you won't be disappointed!

Such a fun spot! They absolutely nailed the 80s theme! From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've stepped straight into a retro dream. They even have a disco ball that drops down and lights up, because obviously no true 80s vibe is complete without one! One of my favorite touches was the drink menu, their signature cocktails are displayed in comic book form, and it's so cool and creative! You can tell they really put thought into every detail: orange couches, a giant A-track on the wall, retro artwork everywhere and it all ties together perfectly. The vibe inside was super welcoming too. The bartender was great, the people hanging out were friendly, and you could tell a lot of them were regulars, which always says something about a place. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for something with character. I'm already planning to come back, and next time, you better believe I'm showing up in a full 80s outfit to match the energy!

I had a good experience at 8-Track. My friend and I went to the Love Island finale watch party. We had an amazing time! They had us choose our couple and gave us wristbands according to the couple. Whoever won, got 10% off their next stop at 8-Track. Such a great idea and super fun. The drinks were also delicious.

My siblings and I had such a great time that I didn't get to take many photos while inside. It was an impromptu visit that ended up being so much fun, especially because they have the pool table inside and we played several rounds. They were playing awesome hits and I can't wait to go back. I tried the Ramos's gin fizz, and it was so delightful. The drinks were made quick! Good customer service from the bartender. They have a lot of space for seating and a small little dance floor even! Great use of space!

I heard of this new 80's theme bar from Yelp of course! So I definitely had to check it out . The inside is all decorated 80s theme. It has so much cute decor . The art on the walls are amazing! They have a pool table going towards the restrooms with arcade games . I love the neon lights and old school vibe . For drinks I ordered a Gin Fizz it was good . The service was great everyone was night and attentive. Overall we would definitely stop here again .

My best friend has 80s fever and I can't wait to bring him here. They have actual 8 tracks on the walls, C-3PO rocking out on the DJ booth and some pinball machines in the corner. There are retro booths to lounge on. The U shaped bar is so cool and has a beautiful neon Bowie on the wall. The staff was soon cool and helpful- I would love to come here for any events or activities especially 80s themed. While it was sad to no longer see the Press Club sign outside this 80s bar is tubular!

Very cool neighborhood bar, love the retro theme. The bartenders were really attentive and kept checking in with everyone even after it got busy. Pretty rare to see that level of service on busy nights, so I applaud them for that.

I'm obsessed with 8-Track! If you were a regular at the old Press Club, walking into 8-Track will be such a time warp for you! It has gone through such a glow up. From the floors to the bar to the ceiling, this old joint received such a facelift! The moment you walk in, the 80's smacks you right in the face! The neon, the music, the VIBE is so rad! And the drinks? Epic! I've had the Cosmo and Vodka Soda; both were clearly crafted to perfection. The vodka soda will be my go-to as it's washed with coconut and so refreshing. The bartenders are so nice as well! Overall, love what they've done with the place! If you're looking for a funky and unique bar, 8-Track is the spot for you ! Ps. the bathrooms are clean (iykyk lol!).

I've heard of 8-Tract on Social Media and had to check it out. I've brought a big group here for my birthday and this place did not disappoint. Love the environment and drinks. I ordered a Singapore Sling and an Old Fashion, and both tasted amazing. Love that they do classic cocktails and how the drinks are well balanced. The bartenders are also great as well and very attentive. Overall this would be a great spot to hangout/ stop by while bar hopping. This place has history, and we should help preserve this place!

Super delayed but this was my first time going to this bar for a Star Wars theme and I absolutely loved it! Especially that they had multiple screens showing all of the movies. They had great music, great visuals and of course the bartenders were very friendly. I was especially fond of the C-3PO dj set up, very cute!! This was my first impression of this place and I really liked it. I'm curious now to see how it is on a regular day.

This places amazing bartender was nice cool happy hour was excellent. Will definitely be back. if you like to play pool, have a nice pool table.

What can I say 8 track is a nice little bar that's so in touch with the 80s vibe it used to be the old press club. I came here for a private event and was in love. I like that they have so many cool deco. The staff are very sweet made some good drinks my favorite drink was the Pina colada I really don't like pina colada favor but it was delicious. Had to go back for the bigger version. My least favorite drink was a Harvey wall banger, the drink had hints of black licorice. I'm not a black licorice fan but if you like black licorice then you should order that drink, The other two drinks were a little watered down but other than that I really enjoyed 8-track. Ps if you tell the bartender that they did their diligence, you will get a little present.

I just tried this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The ambiance is refreshing but also feels classic. Really cool décor, extra welcoming staff, reasonable drink specials. Will definitely add it to my rotation.

It's cute! The drinks were expensive and it was definitely too loud to have any real conversation, but it was nostalgic and well thought out on the inside, with some cool cocktails and decor

Ahhhh!! I've been waiting for this spot to reopen forever and so far they haven't disappointed The interior is painted beautifully and the bartenders are lively and talented. Every drink is true to the promise of being classics with a twist as well. Definitely check it out if you haven't!

Cocktails, pinball, billiards and great music! This is my kind of place. Definitely an upgrade from the old Press Club vibe that I refused to go back to. Even if your out on a Friday night and are just bar hopping add this place as one of your stops.

8-Track has such a rad vibe. They have a menu full of a lot of fun cocktails and I haven't had one that I haven't absolutely loved. Also, they have a gigantic 8-track player on the wall and C3PO running the DJ booth and it's got this overall VaporWave feel that really sets the mood when you just want to chill and sit back with a nice cocktail.

I visited while on a work trip recently and loved the vibe, music, and unique take on familiar cocktails. 8-Track has a very nice layout and an excellent horseshoe bar. I plan to return on my next visit to Sacramento!

This bar is freaking amazing inside.. absolutely nailed it with the ambience. I plan on returning to further see the vibe. I ordered a cosmopolitan (classic), and great. Drinks and menu are very interesting and there's always something to look at in here. Also the server was very quick to service me and made sure I was happy with everything!!

I visited 8-Track yesterday and I really loved it. The staff was welcoming and helpful to our needs, the ambiance was relaxing, and the pool table equipment was brand new!! They had a lot of space to sit with groups of people and enjoy a couple of drinks too! :)

Man, I wanted to like this place but I just miss the Press Club. My friends ordered piña coladas and received something completely different but the bartender insisted they were piña coladas. Their can/bottle selection is poor for having nothing on tap. The space inside is awkward and half of the seats are immediately next to the door. This used to be one of my favorite bars in Sac, and they absolutely ruined it. Look how they massacred my boy! I won't be back. Sorry. Do better. Sac deserves better.

first time here with the besties!!! bartender(s) were so nice and my first drink wasnt as sweet as id like, i told them and they gave me a whole new drink up to my liking! So caring and thoughtful, i appreciate the interest in making sure i enjoyed what i was drinking :) definitely coming back NEW SAC SPOT UNLOCKED!!

AMAZING decor, cool, weird, crazy cocktails, pool table, pinball. Inside murals are so trippy and cool, there is NOTHING like this is Sacramento. Try the Velma cocktail. The menu is awesome. Love Aaron the bartender. Yay for 8 Track in Sactown!

Prices here are pretty expensive...like $8 canned celtzers and a mysterious $3 up charge on mixed drinks. I didn't get informed ahead of time until I got my bill. I got a well drink to try to save a few bucks, but the up charge made my "cheap" drink over $12! It also cost $3 to play 1 game of pool! While this place has a really great ambiance and vibe, it's more of a place you check out & stop by for 1 drink because it's expensive. I rated it 3 because the up charge wasn't disclosed ahead of time which is the law (SB 1524).

I had a nice time here at 8-Track. The drinks are very nice and affordable. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. The ambiance is very retro and cool.

8-Track is so cool!! I went with my boyfriend and a couple friends on a saturday night, and although it was busy we still got our drinks quickly and they were great. The place is decorated beautifully and you can tell that a lot of detail was put into the theme. I highly recommend going.

I would love to call this place my favorite bar. However, the bartender called me a paki, l don't want anything to do with this establishment.
