Umami Burger closes the Sahara Las Vegas, replaced by Beers & Bets | Eater Vegas

"I noticed that 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria, a sibling SBE restaurant on the casino floor, was among the recent closings." - Bradley Martin

THE OVEN IS 800° BUT THE VIBES ARE COOL · VIBE CHECK this is a sleek, modern spot in the newoman complex with a bustling yet efficient energy. the line moved fast, which is always a major win. the staff is nice, keeping the experience smooth from start to finish. THE SYSTEM here’s the drill: grab a seat first at the spacious tables, then head to the counter to order and pay. after that, just play the waiting game; your food will be delivered right to you. no frantic waving for the check. THE PIZZA REVIEW the neapolitan pizza is good, with a proper charred crust and quality toppings. keeping it a buck, it’s a little pricey for what it is compared to other competing pizzerias in tokyo. you're partly paying for the premium location and slick setup. FINAL VERDICT for a reliably good, fast-casual pizza fix in a cool setting, this is a solid bet. perfect before a train or for a casual meal. just know you're investing in the convenience and atmosphere as much as the pie. · peep the images for your ref; they’re worth a thou. make sure to ❤️!

It was quite crowded in terms of space but people moved fast. Pizza was delicious. The salmon one was bomb. We ordered 3 pizzas and it was the best one. All pizzas we had were good all in all. Would definitely come back. 1 pizza per person isn’t too much, just go with an empty stomach!

I enjoy the structure here. They first give you a table then you go through the line to order and pay. You can choose from pre-made pizza or create your own. I got a margarita pizza with pepperoni. My food was honestly really good my only thing is it wasn’t crispy in the middle so everything was falling off my pizza and it was greasy. My lemonade was excellent!

We went here on a whim and to grab a quick bite. Being from Philly (we love pizza and try it on every trip we take) and also believe that we have some of the best pizza in the country. We saw this place and decided to try it! It was very good and the ambiance was cute. We were surrounded by families (many moms and their little ones which we loved). The waiters were courteous and very helpful. We got the lunch special which was a salad w grilled pumpkin, a small pizza of your choice and the desert of the day. It was very good and we enjoyed it!

Wonderful concept, love the quality of the food and ingredients used. We came here 3 years ago and loved it so much that we wanted to have it again. Exactly the same as we remember. Great service!

Delicious and fresh pizza made right in front of you! The staff are all very friendly and speak English well. Very little wait time for the food, and everything was reasonably priced.

Google
Amazing Neapolitan pizza, on a par with those in Naples. We had no wait to be seated and within minutes we were served our customised pizza, freshly made with generous ingredients. Very good value for money and highly recommend.

Google
Pretty good! It’s similar to a pizza self service/buffet—you get to customize your pizza with your choice of toppings at the register, and they do the same with salads as well. It wasn’t anything special but it was good.

Yelp
We went here a few times during our trip to Tokyo because the pizza was so good! It's in a great spot in Shinjuku Station. We went with a couple personal pizzas and both were great. They also serve coffee which was pretty good.

Yelp
Those with dairy allergies, this place has the gooey and greasy plant based cheese which is so hard to find! (unsure if the pies are vegan without meat but we just avoid dairy) The crusts are crispy on the bottom and fluffy at the edges. Yummy sauce too! The fries were super salty but that's seeming to be a common Japanese thing.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would covid or not you cannot tell me the person that made this pizza or boxed this pizza for delivery didn't see and SMELL the awful smell of BURNED pizza 70$ for this grossness WHISH I HAD GONE SOMEWHERE ELSE

Yelp
I ordered through a delivery service. I got a pizza and they forgot one of my toppings that I paid for, as well as they didn't even cut the pizza.. I got wings as well and they didn't even put the flavor that I ordered it as. Just plain and dry wings. Would I order from here again? Probably not. I'd like to think they can do better if I actually dined in. But who knows. Granted it was late at night when I ordered so they probably didn't care all that much. But I was charged for something that they didn't even give me, so future customers be warned.

Yelp
There are very few things I miss from LA, but 800 Degrees is one of them. I waited and waited until this location was less busy before trying it out. Let me say that in style and concept this is identical to LA, and the Vegas location too. The quality control here is excellent, and I dare say the pizzas in Shinjuku are better handled and cooked with more care. That being said, even if you get a skimpy pizza, employees and customers are going to stare at you if you order a whole one for yourself. Since they aren't really filling and eating an entire one is standard practice stateside, this is sort of disconcerting unless you're going with a friend who will join you in delicious gluttony.

Yelp
Much like Mod, Pieology and Blaze pizza in the states, 800 degrees is just better than all of the former. It could be because it's new in Japan, the service is attentive or the fresh ingredients. They opened at 3:30 pm and shortly after it was crowded. You go in and one of the employees will show you to a table and provide utensils and a plate. You then proceed to order your pizza, much like Chipotle style. You know it's legit when they have the dough rolled out but still use flour to roll it out. I opted for the margherita for $10xx yen. They could have added more basil because there were only a few pieces. The crust was nice and doughey with a good amount of yeast. Tried the meatballs too and they were tastey. I can see why this place is busy as it's new and more western. They play American pop, John Legend was playing in the background. Conveniently, located across from JR Shinjuku station. Service is really good for a fast casual spot. Places in Cali can learn a lot about service if they trained in Asia.

Yelp
Good pizza options Vegetarians will like it too... They offer chilli oil for people who like it spicy... which is a brilliant thing to do

Yelp
My husband and I thought we'd try this place. It was over an hour and then when our pizzas came, it wasn't the pizzas we ordered. We used Grubhu, our receip said what we ordered but the pizza that came was the wrong pizzas and we honestly didn't enjoy the pizzas. We ate 1 slice each because we were so hungry but the rest got thrown out. And with the delivery and tax two medium pizzas were $70. It really was ridiculous. I don't recommend this place, I know we won't be going back.

Yelp
Great concept. Smooth - but mechanical - in its execution. Greeting seating was friendly and efficient. During mealtimes the place must be popular, as there were queuing barriers and complimentary water standing by outside. Concept is simple: choose a base, choose toppings, choose drinks. It's a little like a cafeteria in this way, because at the completion of each stage you shuffle along to the next station. The only thing missing is a wet plastic tray! The end product worked out around USD20 for a bottle of Italian beer, a 'bianco' base pizza with anchovies and sliced potatoes as a topping. The toppings tend to boost the price noticeably! Pizza quality was as good as could be expected. Cooking took all of a couple of minutes, with light charting of the underside of the crust. I really hoped for burnt bubbles on the upper crust - but not quite! Great simple eats while out shopping in Shinjuku.

Yelp
When we found out that there was an 800 Degrees in Tokyo, we had to stop in. Having been a huge fan of 800 Degrees in Los Angeles, I was a little nervous to see if this location stacked up. The concept and the food was pretty much exactly the same. There are ingredients available here that are not available in Los Angeles which catered to local tastes. Overall the pizza and salad were both delicious. I would recommend stopping in here if you get the chance!

Yelp
Pizza was excellent and the service was solid. A little skimpy on the toppings, but overall very good. Perfect spot near the main shinjuku main station.

Yelp
Who eats pizza in Japan? Well I guess we do, hubs was noodled out and this pizza place is right in the Shinjuku station close to our hotel so we stopped in to rest our weary feet after a long day of touring. We had walked by the past few nights and there was always a line outside so we figured it had to at least be decent. Neopolitan style pizza with a make your own service line, there were a few Japanese options and Japanese style toppings such as squid ink pizza along with all the traditional favourites, prices are higher, but you're eating western food so what do you expect. Overall it was tasty, quick and made for a good dinner.

Yelp
Because I can't give Zero stars. They refused to serve me salad. I realize menus in Japan are a little strict, but they could have placed a to go salad in a pizza box. It was raining and I then needed to walk over a mile in pouring rain to a vegan restaurant. Otherwise, Japan is an amazing country and I love it.

Conrad K.

Yelp
The pizza was a good quality. As others have said, this is a Chipotle style restaurant, but nicer than any other that share that ordering design. We had something of a wait, but the pizza was good. An improvement over MOD, Blaze, Wicked Pie, Fired Pie. The quality of the pizza was in line with MidiCi. A true sit down Neapolitan restaurant is a nicer experience, but for what this restaurant is trying to do, they do a very good job.

Yelp
This was a great pizzeria in a very convenient location. The vegetable selection was also excellent.
