Google
Had pizza here — the taste was decent, especially since we were quite hungry and rushing to catch our flight. A bit on the pricey side, but not bad overall.

Mylo Lucas

Google
It's bad enough being in the airport, eating overpriced food, waiting in long lines, but they flipped the extra bird by serving us a dry pizza. Either enough sauce wasn't added, or they're literally cooking the pizza at 800 degrees because this was desiccated. Ironically, the machines ask for tips when there is no customer service, even when you're asking for a side of marinara sauce.

Richard Bourne

Google
DO NOT GO HERE. Ordered a margarita pizza. Wow $30 for a personal size, but alright might be ok if it was good. They messed up my order and gave me a hawaiian pizza instead. Liked revolting so I took it back. To replace it they have me a hot and ready margarita which had been in the hot lamp all day. It appears to be in gluten free crust. It's inedible. Cheap frozen pizza is better. They failed twice in 10 minutes. Go anywhere else.

Google
This pizza is the worst I’ve ever had in my life. With tip and a drink it was over $40! I ate half a slice and threw it away. The texture of the dough was not pleasant and all of the topping was dumped in the centre Not only was my pizza burnt around the edges but tasted of ash like it was cooked in a poorly maintained oven. Would have been zero stars but the Fanta orange was good.

Google
The food is overpriced for being in the terminal, of course.🍕💲⏰ It took them ages to prepare my pizza, almost 40 minutes, which is unsuitable for someone who doesn't want to miss their flight. ✈️😡😠

Cade Friedman

Google
“Absolutely amazing pizza! Perfectly crispy crust, rich sauce, and generous toppings. Fresh ingredients and great flavor in every bite. Definitely my new go-to spot. Highly recommend!”

Naif Bedaiwy

Google
One of the worst pizza i ever had The dough is heavy the cheese 🧀 s the minimum and the sauce is the lowest quantity i ever seen … i am eating a bread 🍞

Paul King

Google
This pizza joint was one of the better one inside Tom Bradley Terminal. However, the taste totally changed from a year ago. The crust is not fresh, the tomato sauce is off the mark ( tastes like canned ), and much lower quality mozzarella.

Yelp
We stopped in here after reading how bad the reviews were for Crowns LAX and I'm glad we did. The food wasn't cheap (we're in LA and in an airport though...) and the menu was a little limited, but everything was good. We ordered a barbecue pizza, regular french fries and a couple of draft beers. The service was fast, all tasted good and the service met expectations. They also have a grab n' go and togo order area separate if you don't have time to wait to get in. If in this terminal again, I would choose this restaurant again.

Yelp
An A-ok experience. During a short 1 hour layover we stopped here for a bite to eat. It is pretty much the only decent place to grab food and drinks in Terminal 4 of LAX. It was early afternoon noon and most of the tables were full, however, our party of 3 was quickly seated. The table order consisted of 2 cheeseburgers plus bacon, 2 lemonade, a pepperoni pizza and a water. Everything came out quickly and was hot. The burgers came with a side of fries and a pickle spear but bacon was an approx $4 upcharge. They were cooked well but didn't have enough salt for me, however, with all the toppings it was a good sandwich with the buttered bread. I was told that the pizza was hot and tastey. The lemonade was believed to be unsweetened but once they added some table sugar it was good to go. Both the Host and Server were nice and provided customer service. Overall not bad. If here again and I would dine again based on this experience.

Yelp
This place is horrible, the crust reminded me of a frozen pizza. Airport prices were expected, but your food should be good if you're charging $25 for an 8-12in pizza.

Yelp
Stopped by before our flight and got seated right away We ordered the New York Pizza to share and it was delicious, it was a little smaller than we expected for the price and a little greasy but really good nonetheless. We ended up leaving some and taking it to go with us to finish later on the plane. Service was great also!
google avatar

Terry K.

Yelp
The pizza is amazing, well cooked using woodfire that makes the pizza and crust perfect. We ordered the New York Style pizza which had Mushrooms, all-natural pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, house-made tomato sauce. Price was not bad for being at the airport and overall service was great. The size of the pizza was great for two people as well and we had leftovers to take on our flight.
google avatar

Yelp
total ripoff. paid $160 for two people! the margaritas were $26 each! they add a 20% gratuity when the bill is over $75! i've never paid this much for an airport meal - and i've been traveling for over 40 years!
google avatar

Yelp
Terminal 4 at the airport & no wait. It didn't look or smell particularly good, burgers & pizza were expensive, but I'm tired, hungry & here. The fries were delicious. I would have liked an appetizer, but not here.
google avatar

George A.

Yelp
$18 for a mediocre cheeseburger cooked we done. Fries were a little more on the soggy side. Terminal 4 doesn't seem to have good options at LAX. But hey I guess you gotta eat.

Yelp
Meh. Stopped here to eat before catching a flight and it was maybe 15 minutes before 10am. They said breakfast wasn't being served anymore and that I had to wait 30 minutes for pizzas to be served. Sounded weird. So after being seated at a table, I went to the bar and the bartender kindly asked if I wanted to order food. But I was just told they weren't selling food. So nobody really knew what was going on. I finally ordered a pizza and a 2 Bloody Mary's. I don't usually look at prices because airports usually are higher than others, but the pizza was $20 and the drinks were EACH $20. I have never in my life paid $20 for a Bloody Mary as basic as the one served to me. They barely had any garnish besides 2 olives. At least make the $20 worth it and add some bacon, more olives, some celery, a tajín rim...anything! Those bloody Mary's weren't worth more than $10 at best. The mix was very bland and even when he spiced it up, it still was very basic. Overpriced and not worth it if you ask me.

Yelp
The gate to my flight was right across from Sammys, and I had an hour or so before my flight. So, why not grab a drink. I got seated right away, and the place is poppin. The bartender was serving me, he was friendly and checked up on me occasionally. His mojitos are pretty damn refreshing. I opted in for vodka instead of rum. Nice start to my trip.

Yelp
Margarita pizza 6.89/10- honestly not bad, the pesto is interesting there's like a spice to it. Honestly was hoping for more red sauce, in general for a regular pizza there was hardly any but especially for a margarita pizza
google avatar

Yelp
This place is too pricy for what you get. I understand the convenience which does come with a price, but this was highly inflated. Ordered the 5 cheese pizza. Those cheeses combined tasted like easy cheese to me. It has some sort of white sauce. The drinks were strong, but super expensive. $24 for a bourbon and coke. They automatically gave us the top shelf without asking (maybe they don't carry well?) Just wish the pizza tasted better. Should have gotten pepperoni with marinara sauce

Kat F.

Yelp
Bought pizza to go and the bar tender Derek did not want to put water in my flask. He was not doing anything but just being lazy. I understand if I did not buy anything at the restaurant then I would understand. I am still a customer and should be treated nicely and not just sent away to the public water dispenser. Water dispenser was not working and even with that reason he did not want to provide good service. You should hire better employees that is able to read situations.

Yelp
Run away. Stopped in for a couple of drinks. If you wanted food, all they were serving was pizzas on a fairly busy Friday afternoon, but we weren't eating. Got our drinks, and ordered a second round. Service was very slow, even though there appeared to be plenty of servers. People next to us got their drinks and one of them had a dead bug in theirs. Server said 'it must have gone in there after you got it'. All he wanted was a new one, which he eventually got with an apology. He took the accusation better than I would have. Two beers and two Absolut screwdrivers were over $75, which included $2 for employee wellness, which they put on the bill 'is not a gratuity...to the staff'. That's a new record for me.
google avatar

Yelp
Arrived a bit early for my flight and decided to stop by for a drink and some breakfast. Service - From getting seated to service it was really slow and the place wasn't that packed. Food - Avg food nothing to brag about and the menu was very limited. Prices - I guess the pricing is ok for airport food but on the higher side. Venue - It was ok since they had a bar and a decent seating area for dining being a airport an all. Overall it's whatevers, probably won't be back unless needed to.

Yelp
Stopped by Sammy's before a late night flight. Had the meat lovers pizza. Pizza was ok, but was pretty greasy and more crust then actual pizza. Service was good, my server was very nice and got me out of there in time for my flight. Enjoyed a cold beer on tap, which was a plus.

Yelp
Don't let the somewhat reasonable airport prices for breakfast fool ya: this place is bad news. I just had the driest, blandest, luke-warmest, last-scrapings-before- shutting-down-the-grill, breakfast ever. Remember those experiments where they put a McDonald's burger patty in a capsule for a year? That was the turkey sausage. The eggs were like the pebbles that hop into the back of your shoe. One measly slice of white bread barely toasted. Only the potato wedges were redeemable. The breakfast burrito is laughable: all egg, with a sliver of bacon and a potato wedge cut into 10 pieces. Just bad.
google avatar

Lynn D.

Yelp
I don't have very high expectations for airport restaurants but this one was a really nice surprise. We were greeted promptly and seated right away even though they were busy. The server was attentive, prompt and friendly and kept the bloody Mary's coming! The Bloody Mary and breakfast burrito we had were both very good and they cut it in half (we were sharing) without even being asked. Very nice experience and I'll return here next time I'm at this airport.
google avatar

Tara S.

Yelp
Our go to in the terminal for breakfast or a pizza - depending on the hour of the day. It's small so seating can be cramped. But we've never not wanted to not visit again. Pizza is the perfect size to share!
google avatar

Micah L.

Yelp
It's airport food. Overpriced, pretty bland and very slow. First time i've encountered watery cheese on a pizza. Friendly staff though.
google avatar

Cheyenne G.

Yelp
At the airport waiting for my flight and stopped in for drinks (a must before every flight) and decided to order pizza as well because who can resist wood fire pizza? We got serviced by Derek and he was a gem, so friendly and thee BEST attitude. Dealing with the hustle and bustle of a crowded airport is hectic enough, so having great service in the early morning is a gift. I have to say this is an airport, so the prices here are insane ( that's just how it is) me and my bf ordered two rounds of bloody Mary's ( soo good) and one order of pizza it came out to 128 and that's with gratuity added. Yeah, the price is very high, but it's pretty common for airport prices so I won't rate based on price because the high prices go without saying, THEY ARE HIGHHHH. Lol but if you want good pizza and good drinks this is a great place!
google avatar

Kristine T.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner before our flight. SERVICE - Our waitress was H and she was so nice! She checked in often even though they were busy. She constantly checked in to see if we needed water. Even when we sat for a bit watching the game, she still came by to check on us. Hummus - The hummus here is our favorite so we get it every time we go no matter the location. Thankfully, food was still consistent here. BBQ Chicken Pizza - Melty cheese, bbq sauce, a lots of chicken. I enjoyed my pizza. I do think they are slightly smaller than a regular Sammy's restaurant though? For our terminal, I think it was probably one of the better options for food.
google avatar

Abraham K.

Yelp
Not bad. Big pours in beer -- maybe 20oz? The pizza is indeed wood fired though kind of small for 18 bucks. Overall, good spot to kill some time before your flight.

Philip P.

Yelp
This place will rip you off. I had a disagreement about the bill and asked to talk to a manager. He came over and his first comment was " you don't want to pay your bill? I will call the police." So much for fair charging.

Jordan W.

Yelp
Pizza was excellent. Service was excellent. Price was fair for airport food. In and out in 40 minutes. 10/10 would recommend
google avatar

Destiny E.

Yelp
Starving before my flight however there were nooo other options besides this or another spot. I decided here since you can't really mess up pizza. I really wanted a burger and fries though but only pizza was available at the time. I'm not sure why. Service to be seated was quick however from there on service sucked. Our waiter was non existent and a bit rude. The pizza itself was decent. I ordered the bbq chicken pizza. Beware they also charge an employee wellness fee with each check. I hope the charge for employee wellness does actually go to employees. Place is definitely overpriced but what can we expect for airport food? Definitely wouldn't be my first choice at the airport next time.

James B.

Yelp
Expect cold food from this location. Pass it by. Terrible experience. Taking advantage of people passing through LAX. Would give zero stars if possible. TRAVELERS BEWARE!!!

Mark E.

Yelp
"Wood Fired Pizza", from a gas oven? $20 for what amounts to 2 slices anywhere else. Expecting to get reamed in the airport, Sammy's didn't disappoint. Skip the temptation to sit single at the counter, unless you're anorexic claustrophobic with wait for it... wait for it... luggage.
google avatar

Katlyn P.

Yelp
When you are pressed for time at the airport and need to get something fast to eat, then your options are limited. I stopped here because of the to go side of the line was short. Pretty much you are paying $16 for a simple pepperoni pizza. I didn't have much time to get to my next plane so I stuck with this. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary. My friend had the three cheese pizza. He did not like it! He recommends sticking to the pepperoni. I mostly have it three starts for the price of the pizza.
google avatar

Yelp
"Sammy's Wood Fired Pizza & Grill" at the Los Angeles International Airport has the best-tasting salads & flavorful individual pizzas on the planet! And, their freshly-squeezed orange juice is divine. Not shown: Mahi tacos. The place is always jam-packed, evident of their delicious dishes and the service is good. However, be ready to pay a-higher-than-normal-price for lunch (Swipe left). The food prices are what you expect at an airport cafe, but the other added extras are what jack-up the price. For example, the OJ at $7/ea, a service charge at $17 & tax at $9 will be sure to raise a brow or two for a party of four. Add to that the tip (included) at 18% for a total of $120 for lunch! Welcome to LA, lol! For more reviews follow me on ig @emptynestliving1

Yelp
Located in LAX across from American gate 43 it was a great option for a not very quick meal. Service was friendly, but it was a bit busy for the amount of servers and wait times on water and food were long, also only some of the menu was available (although this is becoming more and more common these days). All in all it was great for what it was, quick airport pizza, pricey, but better than the usual fast food personal pizzas.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
Ordered a pizza and didn't realize it had mushrooms (which I can't eat) and the manager (Connie) who was on break at the gate across from the store overheard me say that... and even know it was my mistake, she offered to take it back, refund me, make another and bring it to my gate! If that's not over and above and incredible customer service... I'm not sure what is. Amazing and wonderful! Thank you!!!! Ps, the pizza was insanely delicious!!!
google avatar

Bacong F.

Yelp
Stick with the pizzas. My kids scarfed it down. We ordered the burger and it was make your own style. All the condiments and veggies came on the sides so you put it all together. It was dry. Airport food, it is what it is!

Linda O.

Yelp
The worst experience of being in LAX not only was a waitress rude Cynthia, but she took our menus right away to not even see the percentage. After a certain amount they start getting their own tip. The worst experience do not go there avoided, save your money it's not worth it, it doesn't even deserve a 1 start I even tried to call and complain, but their phone number doesn't work. How convenient not only was a computer wasn't working taking debit cards, and it was only cash . I will find the corporate or the main owner of the restaurant. I am very disappointed in this restaurant
google avatar

Sonia F.

Yelp
I can't tell you about the food because I didn't get to eat there. Their hours say they open at 6am. I stuck my head in and asked what time they opened, they said 6am. It is now 615 and they're still not open. The staff continues set up without a care for the line of people waiting outside. Decided to go to Campanelli further down. Much better.
google avatar

Johnny W.

Yelp
W T F. I did not eat here but just walk a little further to Dunkin where prices are normal. This place is charging $16 for a burrito, $16 for American breakfast, $15 for an egg sandwich and $15 for pancakes. Umm I was just at the ritz Carlton and this pricing is equivalent to a 5 star hotel. Stay far away.
google avatar

Millen M.

Yelp
Not really a fan but I liked their breakfast burrito. They only offer two things in their breakfast menu and we ordered both of them. The egg breakfast sandwich didn't taste well. Though, the workers are really nice. There was only one server when we were there and it took a long time for our drinks to be served. Tip: always go for bottled drinks since you will taste the chlorinated water
google avatar

Zip Z.

Yelp
GRUMPY hostess she barks at the customers...maybe just a rough day (or week)? Our server Ruth is very sweet. No food only drinks. Mojito was very week. Margarita was good.
google avatar

Charles V.

Yelp
OK. You are in an airport. You are hungry and need a place to eat . And you have limited options. This place will not disappoint you. I had a simple pizza with pepperoni and it tasted very good. It came out in a reasonable amount of time ... hot out of the oven. Service was quite good given the craziness of the environment. So stop your whining a get a slice!

Yelp
Located in terminal 4 (American Airlines) of LAX. Came here for a breakfast with my coworker around 7:30am and this place had a fair amount of people in here. Got a seat fairly quickly and ordered off their breakfast menu. They had pizza for breakfast, but I saw a smoked salmon eggs benedict that really intrigued me. Their smoked salmon was warm, which I wasn't really a fan of, but their benedicts were pretty good and had a lot of flavor. Not overcooked because was drippy and delicious. Was it worth $16? Iono, probably not, but I feel that would even be the price at brunch places. They also have rye? bread there as well, but that's going to have one of those "you're gonna like it or not" type of feels. They even serve Peet's coffee here and I decided to get some of that iced coffee. Sugar is going to be at your discretion (so is the creamer/half n half) on your table. Breakfast pizza was decent, which my coworker let me have. It's one of those personal pan pizza sizes so you can gauge whether or not you can finish one or may not be enough for you. Might be a wee too much. :P Woodfired? Maybe but ehhhh. Decent place to eat while you're waiting for your flight. Price is gonna be overpriced a bit, service is decent.

Ivy C.

Yelp
Seems like a decent place. Pizza ain't bad. Need a manager who wants to fill some seats. Still waiting on someone to serve us..
google avatar

Karen R.

Yelp
Mimosas and egg sandwiches before the flight. Tasty sandwich and mimosas. Fast friendly service.
google avatar

Shantel M.

Yelp
Bartender was extremely rude. Food was zero stars. Your better off grabbing a to go salad at Dunkin' Donuts.
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
I try to put reviews into a context. This one: a pizza place for n a large airport. Is it overpriced? Of course... It's in an airport. Is there an extensive wine list, and lots of beers on draft? No... It's in an airport. So, sad, here I am on a Saturday afternoon, flying home from a week teaching in Thailand. Exhausted, starving, with a few hours to kill while waiting for my connection on the final leg. I'm in terminal four at LAX, and there are not a lot of options. This is the best one. They have a lot of different things on the menu, but the name of the place is Sammy's woodfired pizza, so I'm in going with woodfired pizza. I ordered the New York style, which has pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. I'm a stickler for good crust and good toppings. While this wasn't exactly like the New York pizza this I've had in New York, it was pretty good. Maybe a little too much cornmeal on the crust, but that's a personal thing. But they used fresh sautéed mushrooms, good sausage... Not that pre-crumbled crap you buy from food service companies... and good pepperoni. Maybe four stars is a little high, but three stars is too low in my opinion. But would I stop here again for the pizza and a beer next time I'm stuck in terminal four? Heck yeah!
google avatar

Todd G.

Yelp
Absolute worst pizza I have had in years. Super acidic and the pineapple covered about 80% of the pizza. Thats beyond excessive and one of the reasons its so acidic. Only ate half, couldn't stomach anymore. LAX...seriously bring in better food options.
google avatar

Stefanie C.

Yelp
I had a "lunch layover" at LAX so after much pacing back and forth across the terminal, I decided on Sammy's. More like, I didn't find any restaurants more appealing. I didn't want anything heavy (or expensive) before my next flight, so I had a seat at the barstool area and ordered a Greek Salad. The service was excellent. In any other scenario I would have felt rushed to get my bill in the middle of my meal, but I suppose it's nice for travelers. Waiters and waitresses kept checking on me, which was appreciated. I even got a few emails answered while eating my salad. And most importantly, the salad was good. Sufficient amount of fresh ingredients and dressing. I'm glad this is a reliable food chain, and I would definitely come here again if I was in this terminal of LAX!
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
There's a Sammy's in LAX! I was super excited to see this. I was a huge fan of Sammy's when I lived in Vegas. The menu is more limited, but it has most of the classic favs - Kobe sliders, hummus, pizza, truffle fries. The service was typical airport service. Which is really what makes this 3 stars. The food was surprisingly good. I was trying not to get my hopes up - to not expect the quality I was used to. But the food quality was there. Mmmmm, tasty! George C. had never been to a Sammy's before and still keeps talking about those Kobe beef sliders. In sum, a worthy stop when waiting at LAX.
google avatar

Mac H.

Yelp
LOL!!!!! I gave this pizza the benefit of the doubt and it failed!!!!! Reviews were accurate about this place. 2 stars because the man helping us was actually awesome! PIZZA IS A BIG BIG FAILURE though.
google avatar

Kirk S.

Yelp
Moderately decent but overpriced airport pizza - what more do you really expect? This is a relatively popular place in the American Airlines terminal, mostly because the AA terminal sucks and has relatively little in the way of restaurants. As you might expect, like the terminal itself, this place is packed, a bit slow, and noisy. The pizza, though predictably overpriced, is decent. Hard to complain too much.
