Stockholm’s New Restaurants Are Decidedly More Global

"Chef Oskar Montano brings authentic Roman technique to Stockholm with an obsessively hydrated pizza dough that yields light, airy crusts; a standout pie topped with colatura (fermented anchovy) butter, lemon, and zucchini is singled out as a personal favorite. The concept includes a slice shop on Södermalm and sit-down venues in Vasastan and Kransen, making excellent Roman-style pizza widely accessible around the city." - Simon Bajada

Amazing! We (two of us) managed to it 3 pizzas out of 4 different options available. Loved the thin base. Would 100% visit again. This one goes to Top 3 pizza experiences we’ve had, and we’ve had many in Italy for example, so there’s definitely a lot to compare with!

Oh my god, probably my fourth time back and I'm always blown away by their pizza. The pizza Bianca was again the clear winner with its deep sophisticated flavours, zero flop and a crisp to die for. I've tried so many pizzas in Stockholm but 800° is the Champ-Champ. 9.4 - (One bite everyone knows the rules.)

Sorry to say, But apparently these kind Of pizzas are not my thing. Burnt crust and ”tomato soup” all over the place. Also the paper under the pizza. After eating i noticed i probably ate it too. The aftertaste was just burnt crust. And HOW HARD would it be to spread those pepperonis evenly? There was 3 people + me. So why not even try? It might be hyped. But for me it was not the thing. My quest for a good Napolitan pizza continues. They couldnt provide one.

Google
Menu has only four pizza options but they are very tasty. The pizza is juicy, tasty, feels authentic, and also has a thin crust. I recommend Margherita the most because it has a good amount of cheese and aromatic basilica!

Google
Recommended by an Italian friend. One of the best pizza in Stockholm. Extremely fresh and rich ingredients. Highly recommend. The seating area very small, but cozy. Don’t afraid siting close to strangers and enjoy the pizza. 😉 In addition, the menu does change and they only have 4 pizza in the menu, but in my opinion it shows how pro they are and quality is more important for them than variety.

Google
The pizza was good, I found the dough lacks a little bit of flavor. Tomato sauce is also missing some flavor. The overall combination is good and I’m pleasantly surprised by how well the pizza holds its integrity. The atmosphere is small but nice and the service was attentive.

Google
Loved the pizza and their tiramisu - huge portion for sharing! Looking forward to coming back.

Google
I think it was an ok experience but not the best for sure. They take too long to make the pizzas and they only have 4 choices on the menu. The flavor is not bad but I think it’s overpriced for what it is.

Yelp
We had a great experience at 800 grader and will definitely be back. You can select the single pieces that you want (huge slices) and awesome beer. Not many places to sit but the food was with it. Also, a very hole in the wall feel.

Yelp
Some of the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had outside my hometown of NYC! Highly recommended!

Yelp
These people are Hustlers. I ordered from the app Wolt and when i saw their menu it showed TWO slices on every picture. I ordered three variants of pizza, but I got only one lousy slice per order for 50 SEK each. When I complained to Wolt, they told me that 800 grader refused to give me any compensation at all. Shame on them.

Yelp
I've had pizza at most popular pizza places in the city, but this definately is the best one! The dough itself is fantastic, not too stiff but perfectly soft and baked. The toppings are of great quality and taste fantastic! This is where I will go for pizza from now on! My second options are Flatbread in Sundyberg or Pizza Hatt close to T-centralen.

Yelp
800 grader has lately been witnessing an exponential increase in popularity and begins to gain recognition as one of Stockholm's better pizzerias. Two community tables and an open kitchen welcome you as you step into this place. I really do like this setting and think it is just right in time, even though table sharing creates a bit "discomfort" amongst some Swedes... The menu, which is nicely painted on a blackboard, is reduced but thoughtful and in constant change. The ingredients are of high quality and seasonally selected. I ordered their Taleggio pizza with Portobello, arugula, fried celeriac and red onion. The crispy and thin base along with the well-composed ingredients made me very pleased. I will definitely revisit this place soon. PS. I overheard during my visit that they are figuring out how to develop and expand the menu a bit, and will probably in the near future add a few other dishes besides pizzas. Time will tell!

Yelp
Full disclosure, I am a pizza snob. I had the margarita pizza tonight and it was one of the better pizzas I have had in Stockholm. It was not as fine as an Italian or New York pizza, and I blame of the shortcomings on the lack of a stone oven. Nevertheless, this is about as good as it gets in Sweden. It was better than Omnipolos hatt and Meno Male, and I recommend this pizza to anyone who wants to get a slice out on the town.

Yelp
Hands down the best pizza in Sweden . We had the Salssicha and Arrabiata . Perfect crust and sauce and such fresh ingredients. I will be back here time and time again.

Yelp
Being half italian I'm quite picky with pizza.....But I really enjoy 800 grader pizza, I've been there now at least 5 times and it's always super tasty. My favorite is Margherita but I enjoy their "special" pizzas too, with different kind of toppings that seem to change every now and then (hello smoked mozzarella!!!!). Best pizza I've had in Stockholm so far.

Yelp
This restaurant is small and comfy, and their menu very simplistic and tasty. By focusing on few main ingredients, they're able to make the pizza really good. I ordered the vegetarian (funghi) which was really rich in flavour. However a vegan alternative is missing...

Yelp
Excellent pizza but choice of only four that never changes and more than one visit proven to have inconsistent quality. Charmless service and super expensive.

Yelp
Might just be the best pizza in all of Stockholm. Atmosphere is low key, hip and approachable. Only reason not give stars is due to selection. Margherita pizza is divine.
