Yelp
Everything went well with the Peche experience!!! We were greeted by this wonderful host who saw us coming up the street & gleamed the most beautiful smile as we approached the door! And no, we did not know her but she was so welcoming the restaurant ambiance immediately felt warm & homely like one of our local restaurants from back home!!! Our waitress was just as wonderful & provided us suggestions on NA beverages, which we chose the "Phony Negroni" which was beautifully presented with an orange peel, short glass with ice for you to self pour...I had the Reisling, which paired nicely with our seafood dinner. We started our dinner with a dozen of "New Orleans Area 3" oysters & they came with a ginger mignonette, which is a very light flavor that adds a whole lot of depth to the fresh oyster. Our second appetizer was the catfish with pickled greens & chilli- which had two generous fillet chunks, smothered in the chilli sauce (not hot at all) and savory greens (appeared to be collard greens) and last but not least -with what I thought to be the highlight of this dish- the savory sauce which you'll want to drink every drop- which we un-shamefully did!!! For the entre we shared the grilled whole red snapper, which came with a green chimi churri sauce which we paired with the pumpkin & shitaki mushrooms! I have no words to express the excitement & feeling we had while we devoured this dish! It was quite enjoyable- but you must take your time to feel through the bones. It's only for the experienced whole fish eater!!! See the pics if you want to know how we liked that!!!

Yelp
The family and I came to New Orleans to try Peche. We were not disappointed. We were celebrating my birthday and Peche's Chef de Cuisine Nicole Mills, came to our table and welcomed us. I later found out that she was recognized in the 2024 Food & Wine Best New Chefs class and later honored as a 2025 James Beard Award semi-finalist for Best Chef: South. Her Filipina background influence is unmistakable across the menu, where simplicity meets precision and every dish feels rooted in the Gulf while pushing its boundaries. The whole grilled fish was expertly charred, beautifully seasoned, and so flavorful that every bite felt intentional. The broccoli with shrimp paste (bagoong) was another quiet triumph, delivering a spot-on balance of salt and deep umami without overwhelming the vegetable's natural sweetness. For a shared experience, the seafood platter was unbeatable. The oysters and prawns tasted as if they'd been pulled from the water moments before reaching the table. It was cold, briny, and impossibly fresh. The restaurant's interior decor complements the superior food. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Easily made a reservation online. Service was good and fast, but they stopped by our table too many times because we apparently had 2 servers? So one would check up on us then 1 minute later the other one would check too. - Louisiana Area 3 oysters 3.9/5 These oysters were big. Very refreshing and somewhat sweet. I asked for Tabasco on the side with more lemon to enjoy them with. It comes with a side of crackers. - Hushpuppies 1.7/5 Our waitress said these were her favorite. Our hushpuppies came out lukewarm and dry. The best part of this was the butter. Salty and delicious. - Smoked Tuna Dip 1.4/5 This was so so salty and below average. - Steak Tartare w/ Aioli 5/5 The best dish of the night!! It's perfectly salted with crusted bread. The tartare is refreshing and perfectly seasoned. [RECOMMEND] - Fish Sticks 2.2/5 These fish sticks were fried in good oil. It had a good crisp on the outside. I found the fish inside to be mushy though. The tartar sauce was good. - Spicy Ground Shrimp Noodles 2.3/5 The noodles were way overcooked, almost mushy. The sauce was underseasoned. Couldn't taste the shrimp it just tasted like any other protein. - Squid Ink Capellini 1.8/5 The presentation was nice. However the sauce was underseasoned and it lacked flavor. The other pasta dish dominated in taste so after eating the other one, it was all I can taste in this dish. Free street parking

Yelp
Pêche was high on our list of places to dine and they were every bit as good as we hoped. We started with the oysters which were very good. I ordered the grilled chicken which comes with a seasoned congee, and they were amazing. The chicken was dark with a crispy skin which was very well seasoned and had chili crisp on top. The congee also had some chili crisp and garlic. My wife ordered the jumbo shrimp which was also seasoned very well, and very good. For dessert we shared the salty peanut pie which I highly recommend. Ours took a little time to come out, they had some issues in the kitchen, but they proactively came and told us it was going to be on the house. The food was all amazing, and the service was very good and friendly in a cozy atmosphere.

Yelp
The place is popular and it's packed. I know why after finishing my meal. The food and s excellent. I had an appetizer of fish sticks that elevated this typically bland item to something special. The fish and the bread crumb crust didn't fall apart and that worked well with the side of dipping sauce. The tuna was smooth with the slightest hint of smoky flavor that just melted in my mouth. The key lime surprised me with its creaminess. So good. Add a few Moscow mules in for good measure and the holidays are shaping up nicely. The service was fantastic and attentive and the place is just very cozy.

Yelp
This is hands down my number one favorite restaurant in New Orleans. I make it a point to come here every single time I'm in the city. The service is always excellent. I've had dinner both at a table and at the bar, and no matter where you sit, the experience is consistently great. After checking in at the host stand, you're usually seated pretty quickly (reservations are definitely recommended). If you sit at the bar, the bartenders are super friendly, and the drinks are always on point. They have a great cocktail list and a really solid wine selection. The servers are also very knowledgeable about the menu and incredibly helpful. As for the food, I've had almost everything on the menu, and honestly, it's all amazing. One thing I always order no matter what is the crab capellini. If it's on the menu, it's non-negotiable and my absolute favorite. Right now, they also have crab claws, which I really love. The menu changes from time to time, but there's truly nothing on it that I wouldn't order. I recommend Peche to everyone, and I'm always excited to go back. I genuinely love this place.

Yelp
Pêche was one of my favorite meals in New Orleans. I ordered the whole grilled fish and the kinilaw from the menu of the day, and both were outstanding. The kinilaw was especially good because it was bright and citrusy like ceviche, but had this subtle coconut richness that made each bite feel layered and almost tropical. The whole grilled fish was cooked perfectly: beautifully charred on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just enough to highlight the fish rather than overwhelm it. There's something so satisfying about a dish that's simple on paper but executed flawlessly, and Pêche really nails that. The space has that lively-but-relaxed New Orleans energy, and the service was EXCELLENT without hovering. When I tell you that they came around frequently but not overbearingly, service was perfection. If you love seafood that's done with care and without unnecessary fuss, this place should be on your list.

Yelp
What a delight to eat here. I went with two friends so we had a variety of menu items, mostly fish, of course. They obviously take their time in making the most interesting, well-cooked flavor combinations. We started with tuna tartare - amazing, melt-in-your-mouth with a great sauce. We each really enjoyed our meals, with a great portion size, nice balance of protein to carb to veg, and again, each very unique in flavor profile. Not pictured here was the crab capellini and the drum fish which was a special. We also got a variety of fun and unique drinks. The vibe of this restaurant is awesome. It's not too loud despite being busy, and the decor is very cool. Big windows open out onto the street for nice airflow. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. Our waiter was amazing. We were in a rush and he was super attentive and helped us pick food that would be ready quickly but not compromise on flavor. He consistently checked in for any further needs like refills, drinks, or dessert. It is definitely the type of place that would be wonderful to linger.

Yelp
Came here for the New Year's Eve set menu on our first trip to New Orleans after hearing so many great things about Peche. The regular menu and reputation set our expectations pretty high, even though the NYE menu leaned more Asian-influenced than what the restaurant is known for. Unfortunately, this ended up being the most disappointing meal of our trip. While the service was genuinely good and the drinks were well done, the food itself felt uninspired and poorly executed. Much of it reminded us of mediocre catered Japanese food that had been sitting out too long before being served. For example, the gyoza/dumplings arrived almost cold, with hardened skin (exactly what happens when dumplings are left out too long). The miso-glazed fish collar was very one-dimensional, and the glaze looked like it had been under a heat lamp for a while rather than freshly prepared. For a restaurant of Peche's caliber, especially on a prix fixe NYE menu, we expected much better. It's totally fine to experiment with a different cuisine for a special occasion, but the execution here really missed the mark.

Yelp
My first time at Pêche and definitely not my last. I went for a friend's birthday lunch and the service was great from start to finish. I started with the Mai Tai, which was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the shrimp and the gumbo. Both were really good, and as someone who loves okra, I appreciated that the gumbo was made with it. For my meal, I had the drum and really enjoyed it. My friend ordered the whole redfish, which was also delicious. If you love seafood, this is the place. I'll definitely be back soon.

Yelp
We had lunch at Peche before visiting Mardi Gras world. The restaurant was very busy/lively so I would recommend having a reservation. It was a weekday and the preponderance of the customers appear to be professionals. We ending up having a whole grilled fish that we shared. It was on special. It was well cooked and seasoned. We also added one side. I highly recommend the brabant potatoes. This was plenty for 2 people. We also enjoyed their espresso martinis after lunch. The server was friendly and service was quick. My only complaint is how close our table was to 2 others. I felt like we all could hear one another's conversations.

Yelp
Pêche is in the Warehouse District in New Orleans. This restaurant is amazing! My wife and I started off with a few drinks at the bar and were well taken care of by Amanda and Sam. The place was packed and we were offered a seat at the oyster bar when they also had five empty tables so we decided just to stay at the bar where we felt welcome by these two lovely people. We were pleased to meet Jonathan , the Mayor of Pêche. He was kind enough to guide us through the menu and suggested all of the things we chose to eat, except for our dessert. He recommended Keylime pie, but we decided not to have that. However, the folks next to us did order it and said it was absolutely incredible. We enjoyed all of the dishes that we had, including a couple of different crab dishes, some shrimp dishes, and incredible fish sticks. The menu here is very fun and creative. This place is a real treat. We just walked by and saw it. It was packed late on a Sunday night, so we figured it must be good. It was excellent. We may well go back for dinner tomorrow.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is fantastic, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. While it's a bit of a walk, the stroll can be quite pleasant, especially if the weather is nice. My fiancé and I managed to snag a spot at the bar in the back, which gave us a front-row view of the staff in action. It was a great experience!

Yelp
This was the best meal we had in NOLA (and we had a few terrific ones). The food was delicate, intricate and absolutely delicious. The service was spot on (like a michelin star restaurant but less stuffy and more friendly). One person in our party had celiac - and when we asked the waitress which items were gluten free - the took out a pen and crossed off each item that our friend couldn't eat (even on the specials). This was above and beyond what other places do and really reflects the knowledge base and also the customer service of the employees. The water was refilled without asking, the dirty dishes were taken away promptly and the table was cleared whenever there was space between the courses. This was the last meal on our trip and we definitely saved the best for last. I highly recommend making a reservation and signing up for an alert if something isn't available (that's how I got our reservation)

Yelp
From the moment we walked in everything was perfect. The attentiveness of the staff, great recommendations and delicious food. I've added everything we ate in the attached phones. Everything was a 10/10 except the gumbo ( we sent that back ).
google avatar

Yelp
Ran into this awesome little spot, the bar with all the liquor was full, but we got a chance to sit in front of the oyster bar with they shut the oysters and it was really cool to see. We had the; seafood gumbo 9/10 Shrimp toast 9/10 All four oysters 10/10 Our drinks were also delicious . Service was great. We are different. Come back and try more food.

Yelp
We stopped by Peche for a quick bite before another dinner reservation and were glad we did. The restaurant is in the Warehouse District and has a bright, open feel with large windows that fill the room with light. The space blends natural wood beams and accents with an industrial style that feels warm and modern. The service was excellent from the moment we sat down. The staff was quick, attentive, and made the experience easy and enjoyable. The food was outstanding. The oysters were fresh, briny, and perfectly plump. We liked them so much that we ended up ordering three dozen. The tuna crudo was another highlight, firm and flavorful with a clean finish. Next time, I'd like to come back for a full dinner to explore more of the menu.
google avatar

Shayne P.

Yelp
Food, ambiance, service its all there. From the second you walk in its warm and inviting, old rustic exposed beams in an open lay out. Friendly accommodating staff and the best meal I had while visiting NOLA. Innovative dishes with N'awlins flare. This will be a must stop when we are in town!

Yelp
This was a late evening stop on my last day in New Orleans. I ordered the smoked tuna dip and seafood gumbo. The dip was good but suuuuuuper salty. I couldn't really enjoy the flavors due to how salty it was . And it was accompanied by saltines which made the salt even more overwhelming. I was only able to eat prob two crackers worth. I also ordered bread with extra butter, the bread was really delicious, crusty and hot. My gumbo was ok, this was my second ok bowl of gumbo on this trip and I concluded that maybe I'm not a gumbo girl. Our waiter was nice, when he managed to come around, but our entire dining experience took around 2 hours for basically soup and a premade appetizer, crazy! I also ordered the crepe cake to go and was looking forward to trying it only to find when I got back to my note room that they gave me the wrong cake..tears!!!

Yelp
Came here for a company dinner and what a great experience it was. Tuesday night and it was packed and it's obvious why. Personalized friendly service , great food and an upscale yet neighborly vibe. Oysters, crab and more - oh my ! Stellar venue on all levels !!!
google avatar

Cheron P.

Yelp
The service here was amazing, all the workers were extremely attentive. The menu was eclectic but still tasty and flavorful! The butter with the hush puppies was amazing! The redfish with the salsa verde was different and I would recommend a tad bit less of it. The Brussels and the potatoes were great! I also really enjoyed the steak tartare
google avatar

Alyssa R.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. I cannot believe I haven't eaten here before. I was absolutely blown away by every single dish. The hush puppies and the tuna dip are reason enough alone to come back. As soon as you step inside the restaurant a lovely smoked scent grabs lets you know you're in for a treat. We had a lactose intolerant (poor guy) in our group and our server Maddie actually marked up a menu for him outlining all of the items with daily so he could steer clear or male adjustments. I cannot wait to come back here! Was definitely a meal to remember!!

Yelp
If you go to New Orleans and don't eat at Peche, that's basically a misdemeanor. We ordered just about every small plate like we were auditioning for a seafood-themed episode of Hoarders, and somehow every single one slapped. Not a weak link. Not even a "meh." Just straight hits. The oysters? Absolute ocean diamonds. The fish sticks? Illegal levels of addictive. The shrimp toast? I would fight a grown man for the last one. Service was on point too -- the kind of service where they magically refill things before you even realize you're out. I'm convinced they have cameras on the table. In a good way. Peche is basically what happens when seafood goes to college, gets a master's degree, and then decides to show off. 10/10. Would order the entire menu next time without a hint of shame.
google avatar

James J.

Yelp
Whenever my friends come in town, we always have to hit Pêche for a meal. The food never misses. Service is splendid. And ambiance is boisterous but like you're having dinner at a large party. Everyone's in good spirits and we always leave happier than when we arrived. And as I always say, I know Pêche is well known for the seafood, but always get the ribeye to share with the table. Thank me later.
google avatar

Ken W.

Yelp
The steak tartare had a mix of greens including onions to provide additional textures, along with flecks of spicy seasoning. The oysters were fresh and punctuated with a vinegary drop via pipette. The red fish was outstanding, mild in flavor and accentuated with the salsa verde. The baked drum's coconut sauce was redolent of a fish amok. The pumpkin was tender but the accompanying shiitake mushrooms were far too salty, overly soaked with the miso. Brussel sprouts were excellent, featuring a nice char and a tingly acidity.
google avatar

Natalie R.

Yelp
I had a great visit to New Orleans and this was one of my favorite spots for a nice dinner out with a group of friends. I love the family style eating and the elegant ambiance. Every server who helped us was super kind and patient. More importantly, the food was delicious!
google avatar

Angela S.

Yelp
I love the clean atmosphere and delicious food. Met up with friend for a light app, cocktail s and dessert. The seafood salad was filling with grate flavors with the right amount of acid. My sticky toffee was the right size and sweetness and my cocktail was a compliment to my seafood. Service was wonderful to almost borderline annoying but would rather their attentiveness. All desserts are from the La Boulengeire, so they were exceptional.. I would definitely return again.
google avatar

Brittney V.

Yelp
I could eat the big fish here with that chimichuri sauce over and over and over again it's so yummy in my tummy. This makes me want to have a cute date. Im a seafood girl. It's definitely top 5 in the city.

Yelp
I accidentally ate at Pêche two nights in a row during a five-day trip to New Orleans. While that was not a move I would've planned, I at least really liked the restaurant. I walked in on the first night to meet friends who were already there, not realizing that the dinner I had lined up for the next night was also at Pêche. I guess the place is fun and centrally located with good food and cocktails, a natural pick for nearby conference attendees. The restaurant was lovely, a seafood grill in a cool old Warehouse District building on Magazine Street. The dining room was spacious and attractively appointed, lots of brick and rustic wood, and colorful art on green-painted walls. The vibe was busy and festive, ideal for a group dinner. Service was great, attentive and accommodating. I was part of a party of two that grew into four, then a party of eight that shrank to six, with dietary restrictions and the constant stream of needs that come from large tables. Our servers managed us competently. I tried three cocktails over the course of two nights, as well as a glass of rosé, which went well with the seafood and warm weather. The cocktails were delightful, all classic drinks with a Pêche twist. The Mother of Pearl was a briny, boozy martini made with gin, vodka, and dill; the Chamomile Circuit a whiskey sour with chamomile tea and grapefruit; and the Angry Pirate a classic mai tai made with pepita orgeat. The food was fantastic. We went heavy on the smaller dishes, all large enough to share, and I ended up trying most of the menu. (This was definitely the right strategy, minus the back-to-back timing.) My favorites were the hushpuppies, the crab claws, the crab rice, the steak tartare, and the baked drum. The hushpuppies were just right, brown and crispy with a smooth crumb, served with soft butter. The crab claws were delicious, small and meaty, swimming in a flavorful pool of chili vinegar and mint. The crab rice was richly flavorful, fluffy rice and sweet crab with coconut, pickled red onion, and cucumber. I loved the steak tartare, silky raw beef on grilled bread, with shaved cucumber, herbs, pepper flakes, and oyster aioli. We ordered the baked drum both nights, the second time at my urging. It was the only entrée we shared, and it was a worthy centerpiece for two consecutive dinners: a beautiful fish with peas and artichoke in a brothy sauce redolent with saffron, a thick slice of crusty bread for dipping in the sauce. Pêche is a seafood joint, so that is mostly what we ordered. Plump gulf shrimp with lemon and cocktail sauce, a dark, hearty seafood gumbo. A couple of things tasted slightly off--the tuna crudo with cucumber, ponzu, and nori, as well as the fish sticks with Urban South beer batter. I did like the shrimp toast with sesame and pickles, though it was more deep fried than expected. I didn't care for the crab capellini with chili butter and basil, as the pasta was oddly limp, but I enjoyed the spicy ground shrimp and noodles, a fun spin on a bolognese. The vegetable game was strong, too. Brussels sprouts came charred and tender, with chili vinegar and slivers of red onion. Crispy okra was deep fried, tempura style, and served with a cilantro dipping sauce. The tomato salad was light and refreshing, with cucumber and cured egg. And finally, I dug the stewy field peas with bacon and green onions. We tried two desserts and while both were good, there was a clear winner. I liked the key lime pie with buttermilk chantilly and crème anglaise, but the carrot sticky toffee pudding was outstanding. A warm, gooey dark cake with cream cheese ice cream and candied pecan. Pêche is a really nice restaurant, and I had a blast sharing two wonderful meals with friends. If I lived in New Orleans, I'd be looking forward to my third visit.

Yelp
It's been a couple of years since I've dined at Pêche, and it's even better now than I remembered. I had the crab rice and it was Heavenly!! It's a dish with amazing layered flavors! Crab, cheese, coconut, rice. Goodness! It was so danged good! My husband had the crab capellini. Another huge hit! Delicious! We also had the ceviche and a tomato salad. Stellar. I can't neglect to mention the fantastic serifs we received. Our server was so sweet and bubbly! I can't wait to return.

Yelp
The service and atmosphere was great! Don't let the green hush puppies fool you - they're amazing! We sat at the bar and everything was perfect. The bar staff was friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Theresa K.

Yelp
My friends and made reservations at Pêche during Essence festival weekend. When we arrived they immediately seated us. The staff were welcoming and friendly! We ordered the raw oysters , which came with a ginger mixture that added a little extra to them. Potatoes, which were fried to perfection, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Brussel sprouts which were flavorful. My friends ordered the steak, unfortunately I didn't try it. Lastly, ordered the whole red fish, which was amazing!! I will definitely be going back! If you're in downtown this is a must try restaurant.

Yelp
Amazing food. AMAZING FOOD. The waitstaff was so helpful in how to order, we were there for work, so there is a TON of notifications about not splitting bills other than evenly, and not on less than parties of some size. We ordered a variety of things, some spicy some not, and all of them were incredible. Drum is amazing, the seafood gumbo was excellent. I ordered the kale salad and I think that might have been the only dish we weren't enamored with. The fry bread and smoked tuna dip slapped (though the crackers just don't hold up to that dip as well as you'd like). Amazing food. Would go back every time.
google avatar

Guadalupe D.

Yelp
I loved this spot! Visited from Los Angeles. They had really interesting, unique flavor pairings. Service was fabulous, wait staff is so attentive! Food took a minute to come out, but I expected that from a nice dining place. Their drinks were also really nicely balanced. I don't usually order dessert, but their selection was amazing too! So glad I was able to get a reservation when I was in town.
google avatar

Izzy T.

Yelp
Peche was delicious!! The steak tartar is one to try, it's fresh and well seasoned on a slice of toast. The crawfish capellini had a tiny hint of spice to it that balanced out the seafood taste of it and was so good, I just wish it was an entree size! Everything we ordered here came out hot and quick! I would recommend a reservation if you plan on coming for dinner (note there is a cancellation fee though!! So be sure about your plans first!) There's a lot of seating with large bay windows but just the lighting inside can be a little dim, but overall it was cozy and most of all the food was delicious.

Yelp
Beautiful and bright dining room. Really enjoyed the bowl of gumbo. Everything else was just fine to me. Nothing is remember but fine. Broccolini Tuna dip - literally just well done tuna salad with crackers Oysters Fried oysters Little red corvette drink was good. I wouldn't try o come back here but if I ended up here I wouldn't cry about it.

Yelp
The service and vibe of this place is great! We had the hushpuppies, fried catfish, grilled chicken, and the sticky carrot toffee cake. All of these items we had were phenomenal. The grilled chicken was the only dish that I was completely blown away with. The congee was great but the greens were a little too intense so I felt like they took away from the dish itself and the chicken was a tad underwhelming. I would 1000% be back for that dessert!!!!

Yelp
Probably one of the best restaurants I have been to in New Orleans. I can still taste some of the delicious food. I went for dinner with a small group on a Saturday night. The restaurant was pretty packed for an early-ish dinner (and continued to get super packed). Definitely make a reservation (I believe that the dinner times get booked pretty quickly). I love the rustic feel of the restaurant, very farm to table. Our waiter was prompt and super nice (really wish I got his name) and was able to answer all of the questions about the dishes. I started off with a cocktail (I got a gin based drink which I forgot the name of), which was pretty decent. Not overly sweet, which I really liked. We then decided to share a few snacks to start. My favorites were the fried bread and fried oysters. I also tried a few oysters off the raw bar, which was really good and fresh. Definitely recommend to try a few items off their raw bar. A slight miss for me was the smoked tuna dip, which I thought was a little too salty. However, the entrees were the highlight for me. I was able to try the whole fish and ribeye. Both so good!! However, if you are with a smaller group, I would opt for the fish. The fish was so tasty and cooked to perfection and sauce complimented the fish perfectly. I finished the meal with a few dessert (key lime pie and salted caramel cake). Both were pretty good, but would opt for the salted caramel cake. Definitely will come here again next time in NOLA. Great food, great staff, can't ask for anything better.

Yelp
My go to is the seafood platter. Pêche never disappoints. Reservations highly recommended!

Yelp
I keep coming back to this restaurant and I'm vegetarian, so that says a lot! They always make such a good off many vegetarian dish for me if you ask. We got the kale salad, the brussels sprouts, the pumpkin mushroom, miso side, and for the vegetarian dish they did some type of sweet potato mash with stirfry, broccoli, and vegetables with some type of really savory sweet soy sauce, and a side of Julian and coleslaw veggies in some type of tangy creamy dressing. It is orgasmic! Also, I've had it three times but I literally still keep dreaming of it. That sticky toffee carrot cake with the cream cheese ice cream is incredible! I dream of it. The textures and flavors, the soft, sweet, savory and crunchy, hot and cold mixture from the cake, ice cream, caramel sauce, and the cookie crumbs that they put on it are incredible! Also love that salted peanut butter pie, I only had it once and don't have a picture of it, but I will definitely get that again. Next time I go. I need to learn how to make that sticky toffee cake at home though! Wow. Can't wait to come back! Will probably leave another review and post more photos the chefs here deserve the world

Yelp
We had been told this was a locals favorite and it was hopping on a weekend night. Loved the high energy atmosphere. They specialize in seafood with a southern flair and the daily specials list is the way to go. I tried drum fish for the first time and it was perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed the various veggie sides - particularly the sweet potato balls and the crunchy fried broccoli. Service was very polished and our server even brought out a little champagne toast as we were celebrating a birthday. You will need a reservation - this is a popular spot.

Yelp
Service is stellar as always! The seafood is fresh and prepared well as always! The crab capellini with chili butter is the bomb and the desserts are still pretty good! Always love their wines by the glass too!

Yelp
Based on their website, I was expecting this to be an intimate white tablecloth type restaurant but when you walk in the door it screams, "I am a chain restaurant!". Wouldn't be a problem if the food was great but what we had was underwhelming. Tried the fish sticks, fried bread, tuna crudo, hush puppies, and smoked tuna dip. They were so uninspiring we decided against ordering a main dish. They weren't bad, just nothing special and when we visit New Orleans we expect much better. The service was just OK too.

Yelp
This place is wonderful. I've been here many times and the seafood never disappoints! The restaurant is pretty laidback for the quality of food that you get, there is no stuffy feeling at all and you can dress casual without feeling out of place. The restaurant is always busy and there's plenty of bar-seats. I came here the other night and the staff were all so friendly and attentive. My only complaint is the food can take awhile to come out. But overall this place is amazing, and their carrot cake toffee pudding is one of the best desserts I've ever had.

Yelp
Make reservations. This place fills up by 5:30pm, so you won't be able to walk in and get a table unless you come before 5pm or after 9pm. The vibe is an interesting mix of wooden furniture and maritime art. Suitable for any kind of occasion. A lot of light streaming through glass walls. Service was a bit of an overkill and the reason this was 4/5 star experience for us. My boyfriend is unflappable but even he commented how we couldn't relax and enjoy our experience. Staff were constantly hovering and checking in. Every few minutes. It's impossible to relax and enjoy when someone is always hovering over you. Food was fresh and tasty. Would return to try more on my future trips! $14 gulf shrimp were chilled and served with classical shrimp cocktail sauce. The shrimp were meaty and very fresh. Slightly sweet flesh. Quality catch. $29 jumbo shrimp with sticky rice cake and veggie medley in coconut sauce were delicious. Every piece on the plate paired well. This is a sweet & savory flavor profile that will appeal to most. The sautéed kale, sweet squash, and turnips were bright and complemented the simple sticky rice cake. Shrimp were delicate and fresh. Sweet. The coconut broth/sauce brought all the ingredients together well. $34 baked drum with leeks in soy sauce and five sweet potato balls was tasty but not as much of a standout as the jumbo shrimp dish. Baked drum was delicate in flavor and texture. Sautéed Leeks and cabbage gave the tender fish a necessary crunch. The sweet potato was mixed with rice flour, and shaped into balls that were pure gluten. This wasn't a win. The taste was a bit weird. Simple sweet potato pure or even a simple potato croquette would've been a better complement. The soy sauce was more on a salty & sour end of the flavor spectrum.

Yelp
Read a lot of reviews and decided to try it with a group of friends. The staff was very nice and accommodating to our group. The cocktails were good. We ordered a bit of everything. The small plates and apps were ordered were amazing!!!! That shrimp salad was 5 stars! Omg. So unusual. You've never had this before. We also ordered: friend okra- spears cooked to perfection and that sauce with it, fried bread-good but maybe not get next time , tuna crudo- fresh and very good but I live in a sushi town so probably not get again, beef tartare- the group loved, and shrimp toast- also loved. Here's where we should have stopped. So where did it go wrong? First off, the waitress while nice enough was not trained well to answer anything about the menu. ( Chef- make your staff try the food and learn what's in the dishes and how to describe it to customers.). And if I heard amazing one more time. But that's just being picky. Clearly that doesn't deserve a 3 stars. The rest of the menu was so overly salted. like the salt man cometh. If we didn't already have the wonderful food mentioned we'd probably never want to come again. Crab capellini- ehhh. Ground shrimp pasta- pretty good. It's spicy hot just beware. Brussels sprouts- most cHain restaurants have something similar. Not great not bad The whole fish- OMG. We hated it. The fish was over cooked and somewhat mushy and mealy and the mint in the sauce tasted bitter. What a huge disappointment The drum- everyone raves online, but the salt was so bad even the peas were screaming. The eggplant- should have been amazing. One bite was like licking a salt shaker and one bite ok. So there you have it. I'm sad to say it was such a mixed bag. Advice to management...check what's happening with the salt situation. Have someone work on the descriptions on your menu. To customers....for now skip the mains and double down on the apps, sides and cocktails.

Yelp
One of my favorite places I dined at in NOLA! I had a short wait at the bar and then was seated fairly quickly. The atmosphere was great - I was dining alone as I had extended after a work trip but it seemed like it was mostly groups and lots of special events - birthdays, etc. Staff was incredibly friendly and the server was very attentive and checked in on me often! I started with some oysters and then had the steak tartar. I also got the squid ink capellini which was amazing. All the dishes were so good and I was so full at the end of the meal. I had trouble with dining out on my NOLA trip as I tend to cook at home mostly and am used to California's fresh health conscious style of cooking so meals in NOLA felt a bit too salty, greasy, and heavy for my taste. However, I did not have this experience at all at Peche so it was a nice relief!! The restaurant is in a nice neighborhood with lots of other more high end restaurants nearby - had a nice little walk after dinner which was enjoyable as well!

Yelp
Sat at the bar for a quick lunch, and the food was great. We shared the crab capellini, seared hangar steak, and gumbo. Each dish had great flavor and was very tasty.

Yelp
A New Orleans favorite for a reason! An homage to seafood of all shapes and sizes. Great vibes in a hip part of town. Friendly service. Delicious bites--lots of small plates to share between a table full of friends. On my most recent visit, the highlight was the crawfish cavatelli pasta. Other really enjoyed the croquettes and the seafood entrees. If you're a fan of New Orleans style seafood, Pêche is a worthy restaurant to add to your list!
