We've been here for over 10 years and building amenities and services were not up to PAR after management changed to Equity Residential and then to Greystar. However, after they hired a new super, Wilson, we couldn't be happier with the service, building and apartment maintenance, and safety. We are so impressed with his work ethic and services that we felt compelled to leave a review about this. Wilson is a great addition to the building and we hope he never leaves, this is rare statement I think tenants can make in general about building superintendents here in NYC! Everything is always addressed timely and efficiently, manages the property in great condition and he always brings a level of professionalism and great interpersonal skills.

George in the leasing office was fantastic to work with at 800 Sixth Apartments. George found us a great apartment to fit our budget and needs. Moreover, he helped us through the entire process from signing through the move-in process. The amenities and doorman are fantastic and very helpful as well.

The management team deleted my Google review because it was less than five stars so I’m resharing, below. The doormen are great, kind and on top of things, maintenance is wonderful and always responsive. Residents are friendly and there’s a good sense of community. We love that the building is dog friendly. The leasing office is difficult and overall unpleasant to work with at times which makes the experience less than ideal. Amenities are average (nice gym, good outside area, etc). Overall it’s been a great place to live but we wouldn’t renew purely because of management’s lack of professionalism.

800 6th is a beautifully maintained building in an amazing location. The building staff work tirelessly to make sure every resident is taken care of. Wilson works hard to alleviate any problems that may arise within the unit. His positive attitude and caring demeanor make living here stress free. The doormen are always so friendly and welcoming upon entering the building.

Living in this building has been a great experience, largely thanks to our exceptional doorman, Marcos. His thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly elevate the living experience here. Marcos has a remarkable ability to remember residents' packages, ensuring they are delivered to the right hands.

Was visiting a friend for the weekend, The staff is very accommodating. The gym is always clean and well kept. The superintendent Wilson was more than accommodating and gave great recommendations within the area. He seemed to be very liked within the community.

Build quality is on the older side, amenities are not too well lit, and overall just feels old. Lighting is not great, and unfortunately the capitol apartment is blocking all the south facing windows. There's a lot of construction, and the room layouts are just ok, too much space dedicated to the kitchen.

Fantastic apartment building. The amenities are great and the staff is friendly and attentive. Helen is a lovely leasing agent and made the move in process quick and easy. I love my new home.

Loud offensive music all hours of the night by disrespectful tenants who use outdoor space to blast offensive music during weekdays and weekends. I've contacted building several times and they've done nothing and I really don't mind parties during the day, have fun I get it! But 2:30am until 5:00am Or later is so unfair!! If you want to wake up to loud music all hours of the night after being in a deep sleep than in this place is for you!!! Did I mention they have a base for their music they blast as well. I have serval videos so you know I'm not making this up and happy to share!

Took over from a company that we thought could not any worse. Turns out, Greystar made it. They are truly bottom of the barrel. The new building manager is highly incompetent and incredibly nasty. She has threatened tenants. There are vermin problems, hot water problems, constant lease violations, repairs are consistently done inadequately if at all. The building has been reported to the state and will continue to be. They harass tenants with disabilities. DO NOT MOVE TO A GREYSTAR BUILDING AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE.
