Muiishi Makiritto Chef Finds a New Home at NettBar’s Forthcoming Second Outpost | Eater Houston

"A South Carolina–based 'eatertainment' chain that pairs billiards and bowling with board games, darts, cornhole, foosball and a boozy drink menu is eyeing Houston for its next corporate location, aiming to open sometime next year. The concept pairs classic games with bar-food offerings such as wings, burgers and pizzas plus cocktails, wine and beer, and the company cited Houston’s more than 20% population growth over the past decade as a reason for expanding into the market." - Brittanie Shey

If you’re looking for a place that truly knows how to host people, this is it! From the moment we arrived, 810 Entertainment made our huge family gathering feel seamless, fun, and stress-free. The staff went above and beyond. Justin, the manager, left absolutely no stone unturned to make sure everything ran smoothly. His attention to detail and commitment to customer experience set the tone for the entire visit. Tonja, our waitress, was phenomenal as she anticipated our every need before we even had to ask. And let’s talk about the bar....the bartender kept the drinks flowing quickly and consistently, which everyone appreciated. The food was great, the service was top-tier, and the atmosphere was perfect for both families and groups. Whether you’re planning a private event, birthday party, celebration, corporate outing, or just want a fun night out, this is a spot you should absolutely reserve. Bonus: the happy hour is the truth and makes it an even better value. Bottom line, exceptional service, great food, efficient staff, and a welcoming environment. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend booking them for your next event or stopping in just to enjoy the experience.

⭐️ 1/5 – Luxury Pricing, Dumpster Experience If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to burn $200 in an hour, 810 Bowling downtown is the place for you. For the low, low price of $75 just to bowl, you get the full VIP experience: filthy lanes, broken equipment, and shoes so torn up I wouldn’t even donate them. Truly top-tier neglect. Every single pool cue was bent like a boomerang, the bowling lanes looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the grand opening, and the overall vibe was just… sticky. Food? Oh yes—a relaxing 55-minute wait for the wrong order. Because who doesn’t love a surprise meal after nearly an hour? Three people. $200. One hour and 20 minutes. And just when you think the comedy show is over, the waiter tipped herself 20% without asking. Bold strategy. This place somehow manages to be overpriced, dirty, slow, poorly managed, and audacious all at once. If disappointment were a bowling lane, this place would be a strike. 10/10 would not recommend this place at all!

It was so much fun! Tonja took amazing care of me and my kiddos! She turned the whole day around for us!!! We had such a fun time!

Google
Paid an Uber $40 to get to this place, made it at 1am (they close at 2), try to walk in, doors are locked (luckily some people going out let us in), go to the clerk and she says they dont sell lanes after 1am (a lie with no context), asking for a manager and this dope gent named Eric comes out and let's us know they dont sell after 1am because they usually sell lanes by the hour (which made sense) but then he tells us that they do sell by 30 min increments (Eric is the only reason im giving 2 stars), proceed to pay $40 for 30 minutes (absolutely insane price). Get to the lane and the lanes are absolutely TRASH, unwaxed, terrible maintenance, the free balls are absolutely destroyed (99% of them..pic attached) If you are TRUE bowler, find another lane to play at this one is trash when it comes to bowling Vibe seemed good, drinks had the people giving thumbs up, didnt try the food so no comment on that but I will never be spending my money at this place again 100% honest reciew from a non-local, first time, active duty, pro bowling patron

Google
Tonja was amazing! She was very attentive and had great customer service! Highly recommended her when you come here. We had a great experience with her super fun

Google
The experience was ok. I liked Laya she was really sweet and friendly. She is an excellent bartender. Very attentive. I will say the plays should invest in digital dart boards or at least new cork ones installed because the darts barely stay in when you throw them. The food tastes like frozen food that they warm up. Decor was nice and comfy

Scar D.

Google
Tonja was an excellent host and helped me in my time having fun securing strikes! I’ll be back very soon!

Google
For my first time here I had a great experience. Booked my reservation easily online. When I arrived my lane already had the number of players that were in my party. You can easily change the names. Nice location in the 3rd floor across house of blues. . Wasn’t too busy when I arrived. Wasn’t too loud. Everyone around was having a great time. The waitress Tonja was super nice, amazing, and very quick. The drinks are awesome, definitely not watered down. The pepperoni pizza was good, very cheesy. Worth the experience, a new glass of water of a Bowling Alley

Yelp
Definitely had a blast here. Food & drinks was delicious as well my partner and I would be back to bowl . Had a great time
google avatar

Carlos A.

Yelp
If your system allows to large parties to double book as an establishment you should be working with both parties to find some way to accommodate both parties. The staff didn't seem concerned about our concerns only allowing us to know that the other party would remain. We booked that specific time because it worked for everyone - they asked us if we could come back later - they didn't ask the other party. There are a few options for activities downtown - I wouldn't recommend coming here though.

Yelp
Great place! Darts, 2 pool tables, quick bar service, and many bowling lanes. I had a great time with my partner here, we played pool for a bit and then moved on to bowling. We spent hours here! It's a little hidden at first if you've never been before but it's right across from the House of Blues. Very friendly staff and clean environment. Bowling lanes were so much fun and reasonably spaced out. Everyone seemed to be having a great time there. The drinks were good, we didn't eat here but their menu looked appetizing. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Courtney M.

Yelp
This bowling alley is not meant for bowling. There was not one clean ball anywhere in the place. To better describe it, all bowling balls were capable of cutting and scratching your hand and fingers. All balls were found with deep pits, large gouges and long deep scratches in the finger holes. I felt that these were unsafe to use, should immediately be replaced. I chose not to bowl.
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
Food was decent. The service was okay bit as . The Ambience was great however! Definitely a fun time! There is street parking around and was not hard to find. Except to pay for parking. It's on the 3rd floor

Yelp
I visited on a Friday night with a reservation for 8 pm. You pay by the hour; however, you pay to rent shoes and that is where the issue is. The rental fee is $4.33 per person, but I noticed that the cash register does not carry coins, which led to discrepancies in the change given to customers paying with cash. When I brought this issue to the attention of one of the staff members, she mentioned that the rounding of change would ultimately benefit customers. However, in my case, I paid with a $10 bill for my shoe rental and received only $5 back in change. As part of a party of seven, 5 members were similarly shorted by 67 cents (the others paid with a card), that could accumulate to $4.69 across our group. Considering how many customers they serve daily, this could result in significant extra profit at the expense of patrons. This experience left me feeling uneasy, which affected my desire to continue bowling. While it may seem minor, the principle behind it is important to me. The computer on the lane would only add 6 people which they said they could fix however, I decided to forgo bowling and request a refund for my shoe rental. Upon returning the shoes, I was surprised to receive only $4 back. I explained that I had paid with a $10 bill and expected a $5 refund, highlighting the inconsistency in the change I had previously received. After some reluctance, the staff provided the correct amount. As I left the restroom, I overheard a conversation among the staff indicating that "people don't usually make a big deal out of the change". This reinforced my impression that this practice may be intentional. While the amount in question may not be substantial, I believe it reflects poor business practices that can undermine customer trust. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I have decided not to return. I hope people start speaking up so they can change this business practice, or just eliminate cash and go to card only and stop short changing their customers. Now I do have to give a complement to the Server Tonja. She was was amazing. She was very busy taking care of the many customers and yet was attentive, efficient, and everyone's order came out correct and in a timely manner. The food was also very good. Especially the pizzas. She earned the place 3 stars. I still won't be back though because I don't like shady business practices.

Yelp
First time visiting 810 billards and bowling. i have not bowled in over 4 years and i want to express my gratitude to much effortless the experience was at this location. customer service was 10/10 and the drink service was amazing, more specifically FRIDA was our waitress. she did an amazing job tending to the request on a timely manner, id come back just to have this experience all over again - and thanks TOM for hearing me how expressing how amazing you all did that night. Thanks again, i will return.

Yelp
Ambiance: Billiard, bowling, and gaming bar/eatery in downtown Houston steps away from House of Blues and other bars. Dark & trendy aesthetic with a sports bar feel to it. Stopped in for dinner with a few friends before a show at HOB. The food and presentation was 10/10. Decent pricing and drinks. We felt the service was quite slow and it took a long time to get what we ordered despite the bar being empty. Loved the wonton tacos! I recommend Street parking. We did not bowl but this vibe seemed fun for a party or group of friends.

Yelp
Was told last call was an hour before closing . I was also told I couldn't order more drinks at midnight. The host was vaping at the host stand and I wasn't allowed to order food. The employees obviously have no interest in making money. I won't be back to this place and I recommend that you don't go back unless you have to. They don't care about your business!

Yelp
1st time here and me and my boyfriend's 1st date since before our son was born. This place felt super chill, laid back, and relaxed. That's how I like it. We were preparing ourselves for an hours worth of bowling, and our waitress Tanja came and gave us water to start. In my mind, that's a great start to service. All we ordered were 2 drinks and a Buffalo chicken dip. Tanja's service was top-notch despite being slow. The Buffalo chicken dip was very tasty and flavorful with a perfect amount of spice. It compliments the chips. The drink I had was the Rock Daisy. It was everything I expected in a drink, the perfect amount of alcohol, not too strong. If I were to come in during the night hours, the vibes would've been the same as when they opened... chilled, laid back, and relaxed. Will definitely return not only to play bowling, but to play billiards as long as we can get Tanja again as our waitress, maybe I can bring some friends along as well.

Yelp
Came in on a Wednesday night and our server TONJA was AWESOME!! I had the spicy marg and cheese nachos. 10/10. Everything was very clean, user friendly, and just so much fun. Can't wait to come back!

Brittany J.

Yelp
SCAMMERS!!! Had a Christmas Party here. I had an extremely disappointing experience due to incorrect charges and poor management communication. When I reviewed the bill, the number of drinks charged seemed highly questionable, raising concerns about fraudulent activity or misleading practices. Despite my request for transparency, I was not provided with any notice or breakdown at the time, leaving me with an unexpected and unjustified bill. I reached out to management JACK for clarification and requested: 1. An accurate breakdown of the drinks served. 2. Clarification on pricing and any discrepancies. 3. Ask them to review the cameras I strongly advise anyone visiting this establishment to double-check their bill and be wary of potential overcharges. The lack of accountability and transparency is completely unacceptable. I'm including my receipt along with what i was quoted. DO NOT GO HERE!

Yelp
I bowled for 1 game but the experience was nice. This is one of the more cheaper bowling alley in the city. The bowling lane that we were placed at was pretty clean. The staff was nice and welcoming. I just wish we could have been able to bowl for longer. We were unable to extend our bowl time due to another reservation after us. The other lanes were empty but I guess that's because they were reserved for a an event.

Roland S.

Yelp
The food was like it came out the frozen section of Walmart Not worth the price. No flavor!
google avatar

C. G.

Yelp
Only place I've been where you pay for bowling by the hour. We weren't able to finish our second game, time ran out with 3 frames to go. It was 90 out and they had no A/C. The balls were are cracked and dented. Overall not a great experience.

Yelp
We came in on Super Bowl Sunday and it was so empty. There are billiards, a bar, bowling, various board games. The best pricing for bowling in houston. Bowling: $10/person/hour (weekday); $12/person/hour (weekend). Shoe rental $4 Billiards: $10/hour (weekday); $15/hour (weekend) It's located on the third floor and happy hour is Mon-Fri 4pm-7pm.

Yelp
I attended a marketing event hosted by the event manager, Marcella. It was a preview/sample of what to expect if you book a corporate event. The food was fantastic. There was good music playing throughout the night. The waitstaff was fantastic! The food was buffet style, and if you wanted a drink, you order at the bar. The staff came around to collect refill requests and ask about new drinks. This meant guests didn't have to step away from their game for , which was nice. We got the complete vip treatment, and I really enjoyed the event and ambiance. I'd say the only thing that me a tad is that we weren't given bowling shoes, so I had to bowl in wedges. This was my first time visiting, so I wasn't sure where to park. Because it was after 6pm, I was able to snag a parking spot right outside on the street, but I don't think getting that lucky is the norm.
google avatar

Dianne E.

Yelp
I came here for an aviation mixer and parking is horrendous! It was on a Friday night though and the Elton John concert was going on so that's probably why. But there's also tons of construction in the area. The closest lot was $60 flat rate but the workers there did mention it was because of the concert. I ended up finding garage parking in the shopping center that the bowling place is in. And they do validate! I never actually got to bowl though since it took me an hour to find parking and all the lanes were taken. But it's a pretty big place with multiple bars, an arcade room, pool, and obviously bowling. The servers are on top of it! Ours was always checking in on us and recommended the Buffalo wings and pizza which was surprisingly delicious! We ordered a pepperoni, mushroom, tomato pizza and the wings. Someone in the group ordered the chips and pita bread appetizer with four different dips and that was also really good. This would be a fun place to go to for a birthday or something but definitely not when a concert or game is going on. The traffic leaving the garage took a half hour and then another hour just leaving the area.

Deanna J.

Yelp
I wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was AWESOME! So attentive and patient with us and our tribe of children (8 in all!). We enjoyed a quick game of bowling, but the highlight was actually the pool table ($15/hour) and the cozy seats and tables nearby that allowed us to watch the kids while we enjoyed our wings and fries (ask for the sweet chili, not on the menu). They've got a bar, but the sweet girls attending to it were definitely not bartenders as the drinks were less than stellar but inexpensive. The vibe was chill until just a few minutes after 9 pm when the music was bumped up to "club decibels" to make way for the night life crowd. I'm happy we found a cool place to kind of ring in the new year with the kids since those options were very lean in downtown H-town unless you wanted to hang out in a park and watch fireworks...which we did not. Would we return...for the wings, most definitely!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is great. Food, bowling, pool, and the staff are phenomenal. Nate was the best and he had great recommendations on what to order (orange chicken wonton tacos). We'll be back.

Yelp
I was invited to an end of summer promotional event showcasing their new menu and pop vendor products for the holiday event season. This location was once called lucky strike and has since been taken over by a new name and new management. This is a great place for all around family or business entertainment although I do think due to the bar type atmosphere, it does cater to an adult crowd. You will not be bored! Bowling, games and pools surround the place at every corner. There are many lounge areas and spots for you to hang out even if you don't want to participate in the above. For this particular event, the food was really good. Lots of options that will be on the catering menu for the event season, great place to book a work holiday party or a shower of any kind. I do not know the pricing of the individual bowling but like and plan to spend about $60-120 on food, drinks and games. The only reason I am giving a 4 is the place could use a little updating. The couches are a bit ripped and the pool tables could use a good brush. Parking is tough of course being in the city but obviously not much can be done there but all in all, it was a great experience. Will be back, would recommend.
google avatar

Jannah W.

Yelp
Very nice bowling alley. Love the couch set up. Also has pool tables and over games like chess and jenga. Tonja was a great server. The pizza is bowling alley food tho lol. Burger/fries was pretty good and hefty tho
google avatar

Nneka C.

Yelp
An hour was only enough time to play one game. But drinks and food were great. Nice clean establishment.
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Honestly this is probably my new favorite bowling place in Houston. The ambience of the place is great so it's an ideal date place or just a hangout with friends. The prices are unbeatable ($8 per person per hour M-Th, $10 per person per hour Fri-Sun). Plus you can save money if you bring your own bowling shoes! You can also extend your time for an extra hour sometimes but they oftentimes have a waitlist of people waiting for a lane already so it really just depends on availability. Their cocktail drinks are decently priced and delicious as well. My main concern when I come here is downtown parking but since I come on the evenings I usually don't have trouble finding street parking anyway. The service can be slower sometimes due to the staffing but it's not a huge concern.
google avatar

Wesley H.

Yelp
Cool spot. Bowling balls were a bit old but the service was decent. I liked that they were open late on a weekday.
google avatar

Roxana S.

Yelp
First time here, it's a chill place with really good drinks! Nate has attention to detail with keeping our space clear he was super helpful, checked on us constantly, and was very friendly!

Yazmin V.

Yelp
Wonder service from Tonja she was nice help us out and is super nice ! Bowling here is fun with the teens would come here again!

Elida E.

Yelp
If I could leave no star I would! WORST customer service EVER and for $75 + bowling shoes so about $100 for an HOUR! We showed up 15min late because good luck finding parking ($20 for parking garage) we asked if they could reset the time and after some back an forth the manager finally stepped up and said "the best we can do is add 10min to your time" which is bullshit I spent 10min trying to get time reset on a Monday and there was nobody else waiting or bowling. After seeing the reviews clearly the food service also suck also, if this business wants to last they need to learn how to comprise when situations happen. When they called to see if we were coming nobody mention the time had already started, upon grabbing our shoes and checking in nobody mention the time had started, which of course made us be more frustrated. They are the only ones around the area so please DONT GO HERE, save your money and go to Cider cade, Dave in buster or main event!
google avatar

C D.

Yelp
Tonja gave wonderful service to our family visiting Houston for a family reunion. Will recommend her to host your parties
google avatar

Moira B.

Yelp
Ok, so for the price, this place is awesome! We went for a double date. We didn't reserve a lane (which I think keeps the cost down) and only waited maybe 30min for a lane which is fine because they have a full bar and you can order food while you wait. Their drinks and food were very well priced! ($5 for a pint and cocktails under $10!) We had a lot of fun bowling, staff was helpful and attentive. The only reason not 5 stars is that the food was not very good (but really, what can you expect from bowling alley food?). We did see wings go by that looked really good which we'll have to try when we go back! It is also located right off the rail (Bell stop) if you don't want to deal with parking/driving and have access to it. Honestly for a super fun date night you can't go wrong here! This was less expensive than dinner and drinks at a standard Houston restaurant and you get to do a fun activity too!

Valeria B.

Yelp
TONJA - great service!!! She was super nice and made sure we were having a good time. She was also making sure our lines were good
google avatar

Tania S.

Yelp
Front desk was extremely warm and friendly! Tonja gave great service!! Will definitely be back.

Carr T.

Yelp
They had knats everywhere around the bar. The drink was watery and after getting it remade it still wasn't great. Food was subpar. And $75 for 1 lane for 2 people to bowl? Crazy. Would not recommend.
google avatar

Christopher P.

Yelp
We were so excited to go bowling but wanted to focus on eating first so we don't run out of time during the hourly bowling rate. We arrived and sat in the bar area. We thought it was weird with red lighting all around. Our server Jackie, according to the receipt, stopped by. We ordered waters, a sprite, 2 Don Julio Blancos with Soda Water & limes, and a Topo Chico Seltzer (server was going to check availability) along with some appetizers (Fried Pickles, Spinach & Artichoke Dip, and fries). She came back with the drinks within 5 minutes without the Topo Chico. My friends tasted their Sprite and 2 DJB w/ Soda Water. They were off in flavor and flat. We looked for her to have her check the CO2 tanks and remake the drinks but was nowhere to be found for quite some time (about 10 minutes). She finally came out with a full tray of food for another table and ours. We finally had the opportunity to ask her to remake the drinks but since it took forever we decided to just forego the alcoholic drinks and soda. We also asked her about the Topo Chico, which she admitted she forgot about. After that we ordered our entrees as we were starving. At this point we have been seated for almost 30 minutes. Our Order: Gutter Ball Burger, Bangin' Shrimp Tacos, 810 Sliders, Pepperoni Pizza, Strike Burger. We began eating our appetizers and this is when things started to really go downhill. Pickles were extremely sour and I eat them everywhere. Fries were extra salty. Spinach & Artichoke Dip was the smallest serving I have ever seen in my life. After another 30 minutes, I went to ask the bartender to check on our food as it doesn't take that long to make the items we ordered, especially when at this point we were the only guests in the place. The food finally came out after already being seated for over 1 hour. We ended up receiving the Bangin' Shrimp appetizer and the rest of our order. At this point we realized why the lights were red all around. It hid the fact of how horrible the food was. You can't see the temperature on the steak, you can't tell if the burger already had condiments on it. The pizza crust was so dry and dense like cardboard. Everything was just ok. We had to ask repeatedly for water refills and hardly ever saw Jackie back at our table. I had to go up to the bar to request to check out as we have had enough. To our surprise, we received a "Large Party" 18% added to our bill. We had 4 people eating, and the other 3 were playing billiards. They came over at the end of our meal for waters. Such disappointing service.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere. Huge comfortable lounge area near the bar. Big main bowling alley and there is also a separate smaller one with 4 lanes, 2 pool tables, a lounge area and it's own bar! Smaller one would be awesome for a private event. I had a few drinks which were great thanks to awesome bartender Andre Had their 810 Margarita, Andres tequila drink and a watermelon tequila shot. Got wings to wash down the booze, even with the small order could only finish half. Super good - asked for them extra crispy and there were huge huge wings and super crispy and delicious. Garlic Parmesan sauce was good. Honey Old Bay sounded good but was a little funky. Might be a me thing but it seems like it might pair better with a different Cajun seasoning with the honey (I think it was the bay leaves in the seasoning that made it taste a little funky with honey).

Johnny G.

Yelp
Tonia was unreal. She is the real deal . She had great service and the ambiance is very nice. Great ball selection and gave me lessons. 10/10

Yelp
Food was good. Our server, Nate, was excellent. We'll be back and highly recommend! Come gor the bowling, stay for the food and drinks.

Yelp
10/10 Would recommend going if you haven't already! For starters walking in you get an overview of the whole place. They have a bar and seating to sit and talk while you watch the game and on the other side is where they have bowling and a VR golf projector. The service was great, fast and provided excellent service! The food was common like most entertainment industries but definitely worth the try.

Bb M.

Yelp
Tonja did her thing took good care of us..had a blast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We played a few games then it was no one else there so we had it to ourselves... she was great

Amanda L.

Yelp
Tonja was great and very attentive! She's great to talk with and made sure we are good the whole time. Thank you, Tonja!

Coriane H.

Yelp
Absolutely love the service I get from Zell every time I visit. Makes my drinks exactly like I like them. And definitely love his recommendations!

Donna B.

Yelp
Tonja was our server for an admin day outing on Admin Appreciation Day. We all had so much fun, and the food was delicious also. The ambiance of the venue fits an upper-class bowling alley feel. I will do this again with my team the next chance. Thank you, Tonja.

Yelp
Had a work function here last night. The place was cool. Nothing spectacular. I don't think the AC worked because we were all sweating and most of us didn't bowl! Highlight of the night was our super attentive server, Nathaniel! He was amazing & probably the only reason I'd return.

Isra V.

Yelp
The place is very fun, the atmosphere great. The food is good and the service great. Jess was very helpful and we all had.a great time.

Michael J.

Yelp
First time coming here and would definitely come back. The staff was super friendly, especially Tonja and Jack. We had the meathead pizza and a burger. Both were really good. We did bowling, billiards and the golf simulator. We were terrible at all three, but had a blast. The atmosphere is fun. Good music in the background. All around a great place.
google avatar

Brandy T.

Yelp
Had a great time here! We came Tuesday night to play darts, pool and go bowling. Decent prices for everything: $10 per hour/per person bowling and $4 shoes, $15 per hour for the pool table, and darts were free. Wait staff was friendly and quick. Drinks were good! We came back the next day to play darts again, grab a few Drinks and some snacks. The pretzels were good, nachos were kind of gross and over rated for $15. It was pretty slow in the place which is what I'd expect for a Tuesday/Wednesday and we didn't mind it being on the quieter side. Overall nice place to hangout.

Yelp
The service is horrible. The bathrooms were nasty and no toilet paper. I didn't see a waitress for about 45 minutes and the establishment was not even packed and they were not short on staff. I advise you go somewhere else for your bowling experience. Oh and the food was not good!

Yelp
A great price for a date night. If you're looking for a good spot to show off your bowling skills with a more grown up feel, this is it.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place. I remember when it was called something different. It was a great meet up for friends and also date night!
