Wanted to grab a quick lunch on Sunday before heading home and decided to try 816 pint and slice since we have mentioned it many times before. From walking in and being greeted to walking out full it was nothing less than spectacular. Guys behind the were very cool, patient and helpful. Pizza was great and huge slices. Will definitely be back!

Google
The pizza was phenomenal. My girlfriend and I ordered a 16" with 3 toppings; it was the best pizza I've eaten in a while. The cheese was the perfect amount, and from the first bite until the last, it hit the spot.

You know, if you know. Pizza was awesome, just got a few slices of pepperoni. Tasted great the next as well.

Google
We were in on a Sunday afternoon and grabbed a pizza, salad, and gluten free grinder to go. The staff was great, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was ready in a timely manner. The food was delicious! If we're ever in Fort Wayne again, we will definitely be back!

Google
This place is so cute! Well decorated for Halloween. Clean. Artwork on the walls is awesome!! The staff was kind and personable. And the food was perfection! We got the Gooey garlic bread with cheese sauce. And a pizza, 16in... half the Sweetie Pie with crazins, onion, goat cheese, spinach, and pepper flakes: DELICIOUS!! Perfectly balanced flavors! Loved it! The other half, we got pepperoni, mushrooms, olives. Which was so good too...just more traditional. We both got a glass of the Zombie Zinfandel lol. We highly recommend this little place!! We will return when we are in town for sure.

Google
Supper cool downtown vibe. Staff was great. The style of pizza wasn't our jam. We got a whole pie. All dough, mushy, couldn't pick it up, toppings ended in a pile on our plate. Wanted to like it. Was in town for an event and wanted to try something not a chain. Cut the dough in half and leave it in the oven another 2 min.

Google
Food was decent, pizza was tasty. Breads sticks were good. A bit warm in the restaurant. Service was good.

Google
The pizza was not great....not much cheese and a lot of crust around but bottom was soft. Sauce was a little to sweet for us. The bread sticks are just pizza crust and not worth the money since you get a lot of crust on the pizza. The sandwiches looked good. I think we spent $30 just for pizza and breadsticks because we had water to drink. The only "service" was taking our order as once you give your order you have to pick it up...they don't bring it to you. You also get your own drinks. It was nice to eat downtown and the place is in an old building and had an upstairs for additional seating or private parties. I believe they have outdoor seating in the summer too. If we went back we would probably try the sandwiches or get pizza by the slice instead.

Yelp
Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is fun with its pop art murals. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Always good pizza but beware of free loading homeless outside the door when you come out with it!

Yelp
816 Pint & Slice is a Fort Wayne staple. It's the perfect place for lunch since pizza is sold by the pie and the slice. Slices are large enough that one is plenty unless you're particularly hungry. I like their pepperoni pizza. The cheese was so good, and as others have noted, the crust is a little doughy. Pint & Slice features local Fort Wayne beer as the perfect complement to your meal. There is some seating inside along with a cool mural. There is also plenty of outside seating on the Porch off Calhoun (the alley between Pint & Slice and the parking garage. Besides coming here for lunch, I could see it being a great place for a casual date night, especially if you take advantage of the good weather and the porch. Something I really appreciate about this pizza shop is the quality of their pizza boxes. It holds up well if you prefer to get your pizza to-go.

Yelp
We were in town for a bowling tournament and found this place and decided to give it a try. The interior was cool with graffiti on the walls. With booths and tables. We ordered at the counter and grabbed a seat. It was busy and our pizza came out in no time. Everything tasted great from the salads to the pizza. We had a great experience and if we are ever back in Fort Wayne we will stop again.

Yelp
Pizza was very good and the other food options were plenty. We were quickly waited on and service with a smile. The ambiance is nice you can chill in the window box seating or in booths good for families or groups.

Yelp
This place has vegan cheese and they know how to use it. After years of abstinence, my wife and I were able to enjoy their gooey cheesy garlic bread and had no issues (and it was GOOD) Also had a turkey and vegan cheese grinder that was so good I came back for another

Yelp
This is a great place to visit for a quick bite if you find yourself downtown Fort Wayne. They offer pizza by the slice or whole, and also have salads, grinders, calzones, wraps, and pasta. This place also offers gluten free options for those who may need it. The service is quick and attentive. The overall location is very small, has a few tables inside and outside, so probably not the best option for a large group. Overall, the food was pretty decent, and I would stop in again

Yelp
Another delightful pizza experience at Pint & Slice. On this beautiful summer evening we ventured downtown to get some pizza by the slice. There aren't many places that sell pizza by the slice. On this visit we dined outside. What a nice and relaxing area to take in the summer warmth, city scape, people watch and...have pizza! We ordered a couple slices of pepperoni pizza and chicken bacon ranch pizza. The crust is a little bit doughy in taste. However, it's hand tossed and not very thick. The crust has a slight butter and garlic seasoning. The crust is cooked so the outer edges are a bit crisp while the interior has some softness. Nicely done! The pepperoni pizza had plenty of toppings. The cheese and pepperoni form just enough "grease" taste to suck you in and let you know you are eating real pizza, pepperoni and cheese. Excellent taste! There isn't a strong presence of pizza sauce. It is slightly sweet and had enough present to accent the cheese and pepperoni ooze. The chicken bacon ranch pizza was also outstanding. The white sauce was creamy and had a slight ranch flavor - outstanding! The chicken was moist and blended with the other flavors. The bacon isn't really visually distinguishable. However the bacon added flavor and salty taste. This is a much try pizza! Overall...an excellent experience and great pizza! Make the trip downtown to give them a try!!

Yelp
Good gluten free pizza. Crust was good. Service was good and the upstairs was nice for a large family. very pleased with food and service!

Yelp
I was in a party of four. There wasn't any pepperoni pizza up in the window, but I was told that some would be up in a minute. I love the idea of fresh pizza. We took our slices back to the table and right away, I noticed that all of the toppings were pulled in the center of the pizza. The crust around the edges took up about 2 inches of the pizza and then there was about an inch and a half of no toppings. To make matters worse I noticed that the pizza tasted like uncooked dough. Sure enough I flip it over and you can clearly see it is not thoroughly cooked. I went to the guy working at the cash register and told him that I could not eat this pizza because it was undercooked and was raw dough. The man looked at me for about 20 seconds. I'm a social worker, so 20 seconds of eye contact is nothing, but I know an attitude when I see one. I was careful not to break the silence as I looked him in the eye. He just said "sorry". He didn't offer a solution. He didn't care that he gave me raw food. I just said wow and walked away. I was not rude or aggressively confrontational. This was Sunday February 4th about 6pm.

Yelp
I do not recommend eating at this establishment. I've heard nothing but good things about Pint and Slice, but for my first experience, I wish i didn't waste my money in there. I spent 4 dollars a slice on pepperoni pizza that fell apart as I ate it. They stacked both slices on top of each other and the cheese from the bottom slice stuck to the top slice and just made a mess. The pizza kept falling apart like it was some cheesy slop and it had a very odd after taste. However charging 4 dollars for a slice of pizza that is somehow lower quality than the pizza I ate at lunch in middle school is something that only few can do and I am amazed.

Shelby T.

Yelp
Food is not that good, service is slow, music is too loud inside. The sauce or crust tasted weird and chemically. They charge $2.50 for a small drink. Ice machine does not work at all.

Yelp
Decent pizza and always a wacky innovative specialty pizza if you're feeling adventurous.

Yelp
Small but mighty! I stopped in for a quick lunch ahead of the rush, and it was delish! I opted for the Spinach Chicken Salad and Gooey Garlic Bread and let. Me. Tell. You. So good! Other options include pizza by slice, build your own pasta/pizza/calzone, etc. All was fantastic and will bookmark to stop in next time I'm in the Fort!

Yelp
Best Taco Pizza Ever! First time here. Great atmosphere and staff. Will definitely come again

Yelp
Stopped here during a lunch break while at a competition. I got a calzone and beer and it was $16. Which is a little pricy but I was willing to give it a chance regardless. I stood in the waiting area and drank my beer and waited for my calzone. Oh hey didn't give me an eta on how long it would take but It ended up being a little over 20 minutes. I got it back to the venue and was rather disappointed first and foremost with the appearance. Apparently we have vastly different ideas on what a calzone is. I decided all the toppings and dough are here, who cares, it's the taste that matters. Well the base wasn't raw but super under cooked and the second I picked up the calzone the entire thing fell apart and left me with a heaping pile of toppings and dough. Dough was a bit salty. Toppings were fine. I just wish it was edible in its intended form and not eaten separately with a fork. Hopefully next time I go I'll just get the pizza or a better cooked calzone.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch today. Great staff, good service. Loved the outdoor seating! Honestly, I've heard for years about how good the pizza is here, but for me it was "meh". It was slightly undercooked which didn't really help. Maybe it was just a one off, because the pizzas in the case for slices looked amazing! I really appreciated the space outdoors to sit and enjoy our meal together. I will give it another try sometime.

Gloria Z.

Yelp
Good pizza. And they have some interesting variation specials as well. Tricky to find downtown parking sometimes.

Yelp
Pretty cool pizza spot! My wife and I stopped by before we went to a wedding. The pizza was good. The crust was soft and the toppings were fresh. It was a little pricey for the size but still pretty good. The artwork is cool and the atmosphere is booming. Unfortunately we didn't have any drinks but hopefully we will the next time we go back to FW. Make sure to hit this spot if you're downtown, it's memorable.

Veldin H.

Yelp
Good pizza. But being closed before the posted closed time and calling ahead of time to make sure they are still open. Them saying yes we are then showing up to the doors being locked is crazy....

Jim H.

Yelp
It's been a while since I had been there since I don't work downtown anymore. The food was just as good as I remember. The issue tonight (8/14) was the music selection in the restaurant and in the speakers playing in the outside dining area. Don't know who picked the music selection, but every song seemed to have the N-word in it, various f-the police and a whole host of other curse words. Was in the restaurant for 30 minutes and every single song was the same. I miss the old days when hippies ran it and played hippie music. At least you could take kids in there and not worry about them wondering why f-the police was being said on the speakers. Come on P&S, you can do better than that....

Yelp
Pint and slice is hands down one of the best places to get pizza in Ft. Wayne. They have creative and tasty pizzas and a respectable beer selection. Check it out!

Yelp
When I moved to downtown I started going to 816 Pint & Slice 5 years ago, I felt the support in this pizza shop and I enjoy eating here all the time. I have been apart of events here with Fort Wayne Pride and came with friends. I do like seeing people who enjoy this place in heart of downtown Fort Wayne.

Yelp
We are on a mission to try every pizza in Fort Wayne... and Pint & Slice is visit number 27 on our adventure. As a vegetarian, I've grown used to the limited number of meatless options on any eatery menu. So, I asked for the Spicy Veggie pizza-- with no mushrooms (I'm allergic!) and no spicy... it took a bit for the woman behind the counter to repeat my order correctly, and she kept trying to steer me to a different pizza. I persevered and paid for the pizza, I was only a little confident that she had recorded my order correctly. When the steaming hot pizza was delivered to our table, I was rather disappointed to see chunks of mushrooms hiding under the melting cheese. Aside from spending the first few minutes of my meal picking the mushrooms out of my pizza, it was a rather tasty experience. The crust was yummy, and it was nice to get a hot pie-- especially since the seating area was extremely cold! Overall, not a bad experience, but I'm taking a star for accuracy or order and polar temperatures in the dining room... Buon appetito ...and save a slice for me!

Yelp
Nice little spot for some great pizza! I visited this spot for a friends rehearsal dinner upstairs where they accommodated her entire party. The pizzas were great, the salad was fantastic and the service was good. I didn't get a chance to try pizzas that I normally would order so I can't give it 5 stars but the ones I had were still good.

Al P.

Yelp
happily catered to thirty people! decent amount of gluten free options and enjoyed the dairy free pasta.
google avatar

Yelp
Walking distance from the convention center and this hit the spot. Calzone was good. More of a harder crispy crust which was different than most softer bread shell calzones Ive had at other places. Cheese bread was delicious. Also got their blueberry shandy which I've never tried before and it was awesome. Gonna try to find it elsewhere. Cool atmosphere. Would visit again and try the pizza.
google avatar

Yelp
Be careful. I didn't realize this was being delivered by grub hub until I got the receipt. I called the restaurant to tell them I was picking it up and they said they didn't have any online orders. So I ordered and picked it up. Grub hub still vagaries me 10$ delivery fee on a 21$ pizza. (The total would have been 39$) Seems like very deceptive practice!! Pizza was good

Yelp
Awesome spot downtown for sure. A little trendy, nice downtown scenery, place represents Fort Wayne for sure. They came swinging hard up in PINT& SLICE. Get the pizza fresh and you will be in heaven, chase it down with a soda or just get you a beer. Nice upstairs area for People to chill and eat on a slice and drink a beer. Place is so downtown, seems like a place you'd go to in a big city. Nice atmosphere, awesome location (downtown) kind of shady in the summer down that little street, cozy everything is close. Seems neat to me when I come here every time. Pizza is good if you get it fresh. Don't get it to old or you might be getting a slightly stomach ache with some backed up plumbling. Get it fresh and you can't lose. These broads can really spin a pizza! great place!

Yelp
Yummy place to grab a bite to eat in downtown Fort Wayne! It's got a cool retro vibe inside, and I think they have an upstairs for live music. Come hungry, because the slices are large. One slice of pepperoni and a side salad were plenty for me. You can grab a slice ready-to-go or customize your pizza.

Yelp
816 Pint & Slice aka just Pint & Slice is a staple in downtown Fort Wayne. It is on Calhoun Street - which boasts some of the best lunch spots for downtown workers. The space is cool. It has a pizzeria meets old school feel for me. It is a little on the small side so don't be surprised if all the tables are full at prime lunch and dinner times. They do offer some outdoor seating on a non-busy car street, but great for people watching. I have tried several of their slices and still love the classic, pepperoni and cheese. They rotate daily combinations and they are usually bomb.com too. The prices are kinda steep by the slice but I can honestly say each piece is equivalent to two. So if you order two slices it will definitely fill you up! My real favs are the grinders. You can't go wrong with any of them. I love the Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Club is too die for as well. They come with a side - choose the pasta salad! Their pasta salad with red hot is amazeballs. So good. I could get a huge order of just that and be happy. The prices for wraps and grinders are super cheap - $8 and some change after tax. Service has been hit or miss for me. I recently came close to the end of the shift and the two workers seemed ready to get out of there and maybe a little annoyed. They reiterated that wings take awhile and few other things they told us may take a little while - we were in no rush but I think they were. Several more people arrived after us and the place was pretty full when we got there - so I didn't feel bad not ordering a slice that was already prepared and ready to go. Overall, it is a staple to downtown and a cute spot to grab a slice with friends or your beau. Doesn't necessarily work well for huge groups (10+) but they do have a space for rental upstairs!

Yelp
The first time we tried this place we ended up walking out. If it's your first time there, it can feel a little overwhelming and intimidating and the staff wasn't very friendly or helpful, so we left. The next time we went in, the staff had a makeover! We were greeted, explained how it works, and even had an in-depth conversation about their beer. (They have one that is locally brewed just for them that was absolutely scrumptious!) The pizza was delicious and a slice was the perfect amount. Great location downtown that is walking distance to lots of places. I HIGHLY recommend 816 Pint & Slice and would consider it THE pizza spot downtown.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
We reserved the upstairs room for a family celebration. From the moment of first contact to the moment we left the event, it was a top notch experience. The food was tasty, restaurant clean & trendy, and the employees are KIND! Thank you!

Samantha C.

Yelp
So disappointed with this place now, it was one of my favorites. Went today and literally everything fell off of my pizza had to eat it like a taco. Bread tastes like Pizza Hut. Cheese doesn't taste the same. Should've gone elsewhere tbh. It's a no from me.

Jackson H.

Yelp
Stopped in to grab dinner last night. As someone who lives downtown, I usually swing by here or Big Apple around the block. Both serve pizza by the slice, but the crust styles are very different. Pint and slice has the thick, hand-tossed type of pizza. Big Apple has a thinner, NY style crust. I grabbed two slices of pepperoni from Pint and Slice. Just a note: their slices are huge. Like 1/6 of a large pizza. So if you're eating lunch and wanting to avoid carb overload before going back to the office, a slice should suffice. But if it's dinner (and extremely hungry like I was), go for the gold and get two. Nice atmosphere in here. I think there's an upstairs space as well. As someone who hates leftovers, I enjoy the convenience of buying by the slice. And it's pretty cheap that way, unless you're trying to buy a whole meat pie to feed a crowd. I recommend, though! They also have beer on tap.
google avatar

Randall K.

Yelp
We use Yelp or ask locals where to go. This place was recommended by a worker at Sweetwater Sound. It waa close to our hotel and decided to walk. This place did not disappoint. We ordered a meat lovers at the counter and only waited a short time. The pizza was hot and tasted fantastic, one of the best I've had.
google avatar

Stacy N.

Yelp
Great vegan spot. I get there calzone. They have vegan cheese even. It's really super good and very inexpensive. My Experience there has always been really Great. And it's right in the middle of town so you can walk around and look at art perfect place to hang out with friends and family. And have amazing food

Yelp
I'm here in my hometown rarely. Had friends over and wanted to order from what I've been told is a great LGBT-friendly, women-owned pizza place. Called at 7:30p to place a big dinner order and was refused service. They said they close at 8p (although most websites say 8:16p) BUT that they stop taking any orders - walk in or delivery) at 7p. SO - FYI - really they close at 7p. Don't try thinking they're actually open until 8-anything. So can't comment on the food - only silly service and messaging that resulted in us not being able to even try the food.

Leigh Ann O.

Yelp
We went here before a concert at the Embassy Theatre. The slices of pizza were generous, hot, and delicious. We also got some small side salads for about $4. They were very small for the price and didn't taste very good. The IPA beer we got was good. Overall, I'd go back here for pizza and beer but will skip the salad next time.

Eamonn K.

Yelp
Good pizza. Good service. Easy to adjust what's on the menu. Very friendly and fast. Makes me feel good whenever I go. Family loves it
google avatar

Eric A.

Yelp
Neat little place right downtown. Super busy and they were on top of it. Food was good, I had the gooey breadsticks and a V8 pizza. The kitchen is super small and everyone was ontop of each other. Not saying it was dirty but could have used some better practices on cleaning in the kitchen area. Worth a stop in for sure.

Sam W.

Yelp
Pint and slice not only has great pizza, but they have an amazing location. Situated on Calhoun Street, you are not only in the heart of Fort Wayne, but you can eat in the window seat...OR you can also carry your pizza to the nearby alley where you have beautiful murals and picnic tables. This place is great!
google avatar

Alyssa E.

Yelp
This place has a great atmosphere for spring/summer lunches! They have a small area for outdoor seating as well as large windows for anyone eating inside. The pizza is great and the staff always has good music playing.
google avatar

Autumn R.

Yelp
Great vibes, good music, very creative selections! The pepperoni pizza was very greasy in my opinion. At one point I took a bite and it ended up all over my chin and shirt. It was an easy clean up, but it felt so gross. I really liked the drink selection both of alcoholic and non-alcoholic. There's a fancy soda machine with nearly every combination you could imagine. It's cozy and fun, the pizza my friends ordered was really great. I think it was just the pepperoni that was oily. The prices were competitive and fair. I'm a huge fan of pizza and I will definitely be back the next time I visit Fort Wayne.
google avatar

Corinne S.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE! Great pizza joint in the heart of downtown off of Calhoun St. right next to the Dash-in. The food is YUMAZING!!! Always love the pizza and calzones. And they have several options for Gluten Free and Vegan guests!! Oh yeah, and THEY SERVE BEER!! Pricing is average and reasonable for a downtown spot. Service is friendly and welcoming. You order at the counter, find a table either inside or ON THE PATIO! and they will deliver it to you. Parking can be tricky. Weekdays, you can pay to use the parking garage next door, or pay for metered parking on the street. Weekends and weeknights, street parking is free downtown. The atmosphere is fun, chill and cozy. You can't visit Fort Wayne without checking this place out!! They are open 7 days a week
google avatar

Yelp
Best pizza on the planet! Okay, maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but incredibly good. The cheese and crust are so freaking good! The cheese stretches for miles. The sauce is bold and flavorful. The garlic butter is the best I've ever had. Plus good beer selection. When we lived here, this was our favorite pizzeria. It has been about 4 years since the last time I ate here, and I worried my nostalgia for it made me believe it was better than it was...nope. I had a spiritual moment when I bit into the slice. Why are you reading this? GO...NOW!
google avatar

Marcus M.

Yelp
The pizza tasted like Little Cesar's with softer crust. I know taste is different for everybody but for the price I didn't think it was very good.
google avatar

Patricia R.

Yelp
Grinders are so good and their pizza speaks for itself! Always friendly and fast and a great way to support local!
google avatar

Tyler K.

Yelp
This is a fun pizza joint in downtown Fort Wayne. One of the leading food joints when it came to the downtown renaissance. They have several taps, bottles, and bottled drinks or fountain. Always a good slice at 816
