Where to find Taiwanese food in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Named for the Celsius temperature that the restaurant believes coffee should be brewed at, 85C Bakery Cafe at Shanghai Plaza is the first Las Vegas location of the popular Taiwanese brand. After having dinner at one of the many neighboring restaurants, diners can peer into the glass display cases at 85C and choose from baked goods such as egg tarts, mango creme brûlée, chocolate mousse, and strawberry cake." - Krista Diamond

Yelp
Clean place and lots of bakery selections.. mostly bread products. I saw in the app that I could get a drink for 1/2 price. Got a yummy iced tea. I used the kiosks but the girl that made my drink helped point out my drink since I wasn't reading the label. They have a few new items to try. I had the orange creamy custard filled bread and also tried a strawberry bread with more of a whipped cream. Filling!

Yelp
Love 85!! Parking is great. They have a wide selection of pastries and desserts and beverages. I appreciate the self service kiosk. The cafe is very spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful when you dont know what to get.

Yelp
Stopped by this morning at one of our favorite 85 Bakery Cafe location where all the food items are always fully and freshly replenished and customer service is excellent. First time having the Mango Green Tea Iced and it's so good and refreshing. The drink is not too sweet. The Ham & Cheese Croissant was warm and freshly baked. We saw one of the workers bringing out the full trays to replenish them.

Yelp
YUMMY YUMMY in my TUMMY! tried new pastries and it was great. had a very decadent chocolate bread with more chocolate!! bliss in every bite! i also tried their Thai tea with boba!! different from what I've been accustomed it would taste like i will say they have it spot on with their boba!! parking is not great in this area as this shopping center is always packed with other surrounding businesses.

Yelp
I ordered the sea salt caramel coffee and had the ham and cheese sandwich. The ham and cheese sandwich is consistently good. FYI, It is more on the sweeter side. The sea salt caramel coffee was on point as always. Also ordered the Fresh Strawberry milk tea (no boba) No need to mix. Tastes very fresh, you can taste the milk. Strawberry was integrated into it, with flavors of strawberry. Sweet, but not too sweet. 8/10 Does not come off as a burst of strawberry flavor unlike other milk teas (good or bad). Staff is usually nice. Today the drink server seemed too tired to pay attention to customers. Maybe just a bad day. I can understand. I also noticed the Hotdog bread is smaller now! But not the price lol.

Yelp
There is indoor seating, in the same shopping center as Mitsua and so i came in and looked at the baked goods choices. I picked 2 rolls to go and had the matcha latte with the mango panna cotta. This was more of a firm flan than panna cotta but tasty with fruit on top. Almost no one when i came in but soon after there was a line for food and drinks. No ruckus at all probably due to lunar new year. Will come back for other seasonal flavors

Yelp
Stopped in for a coffee. There is a kiosk or you can stand in line to order. I ordered an iced coffee. It was actually very good. Great tasting coffee. They have a plethora of bread, buns and pastries to choose from as well. Plenty of table seating and friendly staff.

Yelp
So nice, so affordable, so good. I love this area and the ambiance is like very cute kawaii cafe. *heart emoji* *cute emoji*. Love love love this

Yelp
Always come here and I'm no longer a fan. Shelves are always empty, service is just getting more rude. The manager Annie, seems like a newbie- unable to help or figure out the times of a lot of things. Place is dirty and shelves on a Friday 3:45pm empty. Lol Annie suggested I wait an hour until the cake comes out!! Sure Annie I'll just sit here or better yet hop in the back and help- No thank you!

Yelp
10/11/2025 - Visit the store at around 10:00 a.m. and bought both Salt Coffee and Barbel Taro. The Salt Coffee is 4.5 Star while the Barbel Taro at $3.40 each is a 3-star item because the Taro portion looks like being reduced to fight the inflation. Surprisingly, the upscale bakery store does not accept AMEX card, although the AMEX Corp. claims that 99% of retailers in 2024 now accept it. Note: Recently, I also tried one passion orange drink but it was average. As always, its boba is below average.

Yelp
It was so exciting to get a 85° bakery in Northridge. This place is an absolute classic and super popular chain in Taiwan. Service here is great and the food is consistently amazing similar to all the other locations I've been to. Hope they open more of these around this area. It's popular but the wait times are not super bad for now

Yelp
I'm glad to see there is at least one Asian bakery in the valley! I dropped by Wednesday night to pick up some dessert. It's a huge location, probably 2x the average size of 85 Degree locations I've been to. I came an hour before closing at 8 pm and the selection was still decent for the refrigerated desserts, but their baked goods and pastries section was pretty cleaned out. I got two slices of cake - a strawberry and mango brulee - for $3.85 each and ate them the next day. Both were delicious. Super light and not too sweet, which is exactly how I prefer my dessert!

Yelp
I have not been to 85 degrees since late 2021 but I randomly stopped by today (Easter) because I wanted to buy a few pastries and was wanting a sea salt green tea. One good thing was that the breads were stocked up, BUT the variety wasn't there. A lot of the shelves had the same things just in different spots. I used to work at this location for a few years when they first opened up so I know they could be better at that lol. The customer service wasn't that great either, just whatever. It also took way too long to get my sea salt green tea about like 13 minutes (it wasn't even busy when I came in), like I said I used to work here and I know it doesn't take that long to make it considering there was 3 people at bar! For a few minutes while waiting for my drink I did notice they were kinda just talking to each other and laughing while customers were waiting.... Also the store was a bit messy and tables were sticky. Nevertheless, still a good spot to get a box of pastries for a decent price. The drinks are always good. Sea salt series is my go to! I recently tried their taro mochi boroh, it was really good! Some other good breads to try is milk pudding, cheese dog, spinach & kale danish. The cakes are not that great so I would skip on that.

Yelp
Used to live in Irvine and these bakeries were everywhere! Super chose there's one close by to home. We shared a berry tale pastry. Very light and fluffy; freshly made! The service is great it is mostly self serve but workers are friendly. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy your treat. Quiet and well lit!

Yelp
Lots of delicious pastries, cakes and coffee and drinks. Yummy and satisfying. I like their tiramisu and matcha flavored desserts. I also enjoy their different sweet buns like custard and cheese and tarts, good with coffee. Cute dainty place. Not as chaotic as the other branches. Service is ok

Yelp
Love this spot and location. Prior to this one opening I always had to go to the Fashion Square if I wanted 85 Degrees. This one is very close to me on Tampa in the Northridge area. Great selection of pastries, deserts, breads, coffee, boba and many other drinks. Inside is pretty large, lots of space and a number of tables, not crowded, even when busy. When you walk in there is a self service kiosk to order drinks prior to selecting yours pastries, great move so you are not waiting for a long time got them to make the drinks. This visit we got milk teas with pudding and a strawberry banana smoothie with the red bean bread. So good. The bread is light and airy and the red bean is perfectly sweet. Also, the red bean is on the low side of the scale when it comes to sodium, clocks in around 200mg, so not too bad when you want a treat. Trying to make better choices, but still enjoy. Their boba drinks are very good as well and priced right, but very sweet, so you may want to reduce the sweetness or add some water. Use the Mobil app to pre-order to save time or just get it scanned when you are there to earn points for free items. There is a big parking lot in this complex, so parking is not a problem as well. Enjoy!

Yelp
Man, I love stuff wrapped in carbs, specially carbs, wrapped in carbs. I also like sweet treats and 85 bakery café is filled with sweet treats. This is the first time I've seen the ham and cheese and the Hawaiian chicken. It might've been here before, but for some reason a lot of the label tags Either fall off or clips to the top or missing. I kind of wonder who's going in there and yanking all the tags off of the buns so I can't figure out what's what. It seems like they're always understaffed and very busy. My biggest mystery to me is how do they figure out how much to make and if you come too late it's pretty sold out so they're doing a pretty good job at predicting the quantity. I can't tell you what my favorite thing is because I like them all so much. And I'm really shocked that they're able to do so well since the parking lot is always so cramped and practically dangerous either it's because this is the busiest parking lot in the valley or it's just design so poorly that it's really difficult to get around .

Yelp
I used to come here a lot when it first opened back in 2015 if i'm not mistaken? Here's my updated thoughts: - I see they've done a lot of seasonal drink and staying up with trends. - No more tongs for this location just grabbing the bread ourselves (that used to be a hassle back then since the tongs would run out and the staff would have to clean it) - Their boba is solid. Not really known for their drinks. I don't come here as often anymore but my favorite would have to be the strawberry deluxe cake slice! SOOO GOOD ‍ staff is very chill and helpful.

Yelp
I was sadly disappointed with this location. After visiting many locations around southern California, I expected this one to be just as good. Instead, slowest service, very rushed once helped, and pretty slim pickings. I was able to get a cake that is normally a favorite for a friends birthday. This was the driest, flavorless cake i've ever attempted to eat. I am not sure if it was an off day or what, but I hope this isn't the new recipe. What happened to moist, sponge like cake with a light flavor??? I'll be passing on this location for future pastry needs.

Yelp
I knew this bakery from my daughter. She's good in discovering new places. I have tried their products from other locations - Santa Clarita and Glendale. I like their Salted Caramel Coffee or Salted Black Coffee. And the Pork Sung Half Moon cake and the Pork Sung Bun. While waiting for Dollar Tree to open, I stopped by. This is my first time to visit this location. Upon entering, fresh baked products are wafting through the air. It makes you want to buy almost each of everything. Products on display look fresh and delicious. I walked around and decided to get a pack of chocolate chip cookies. My SO doesn't get tired of them. No line at the register so I was done in no time. Inside looks clean and airy. Only few tables are around. Customers are in and out. Plenty of parking so it's not a problem.

Yelp
OMG the music and decorations were so awesome. I really wanted sausage hot dogs and Christopher was able to bag and give me two! He was so kind I'm definitely coming back, Christopher deserves a raise :) he was very kind and humble

Yelp
I was eating at a restaurant next door and decided to pop in. I love that it is self serve and prices are very reasonable. I got a red bean pastry for $1.60 and a tiger boba drink. The drink was delicious with milk and brown sugar. The line moved fast and they had a good variety still at 4pm. There are a few tables if you want to stay and eat your food. I was excited to come get some goodies and I will be back! It made for a good dessert after a late lunch.

Yelp
I think it is neutral at this Northridge location, they are not bad, but not the best either. Customer service is also neutral. My hubby and I usually come by here in the evenings when we are waiting to be seated at another restaurant. I can say, there are plenty are place to park, on the bright side. We usually come here just for the cold drinks...they taste alright. Even though it is in the evening, sometimes, it does seem like when we are standing in line for a long time, probably because only one line open.

Yelp
Another outpost of my favorite bargain price bakery. Food and service were excellent. All of my favorite pastries were available without waiting Definitely recommended and I will be back when I'm in the area

Yelp
Now I remember why I don't like this location. It's the same experience that I got from 4 months ago when I came here at 8am to buy a birthday cake. There was nothing on the stand and the staff were just very cold and unfriendly. It's like they're not happy to be working here. You ask a question and they don't really pay attention. That's when I decided to go to Paris Baquette where they have better cakes that even come with cake cutter that includes a match and a free tall candle. When I went to 85deg in Buena Park I saw that they have a buy 3+1 moon cake and being that Northridge was closer to our home, I decided to stop by and get some bread. When I reached the counter, it was like deja vu... not an ounce of friendliness from the crew.. I asked what's in the macchiato cake and all I got was its macchiato...okay.... For somebody who doesn't know your menu it would be a great help to get more information with a little attention. I could've bought your $34 cake! Suddenly the sea salt coffee that I ordered just went and I realized it was the same atmosphere that they're giving their customers . For sure there's better location, sadly it's not in our neighborhood.
google avatar

Fatima M.

Yelp
Always love the food here and their drinks. Very decently priced compared to Paris Baguette.

Yelp
We always go there every sunday dine in or take out The food from the bakery all good The service is poor and the setting is poor We always ask for the restroom the employees would say Theres no code but if it doesnt open someone is there inside. So we always wait like 20-30 mins but nobody is opening .so i smell something fishy maybe theyre hiding something or they just dont want anyone to use their restroom. Which is not great especially they have dine in customers. I hope the management will do something about it It happened not just once to us but couple of times maybe 10 times in going to 85 If i could rate them zero star
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
I was at the cash register at 6:57pm on 1/17/24 The girl at the register who is like around 5'2" is responsible for wasting my money on a drink. I am lactose intolerant and asked if there was any dairy. She looked it up and said no. Prior to that I asked if there are any tongs and they gave a look like uhh no like it was a stupid question. She was speaking to another coworker behind the dessert case. Looks like they get paid to talk. At least the girl making the drinks was working and there was a guy in the room with a glass window display working on strawberries.
google avatar

Kris C.

Yelp
This location needs more staffing and better management. We arrived at 4:45 and the shelves were pretty bare. They were clearly understaffed. Just one guy to ring everyone up. I had ordered my drink using the kiosk. It took over 20 minutes because only one guy was making the drinks. I had bobas in my drink and wasn't even given a boba straw. Later I went to use the bathroom which clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. There was zero toilet paper, zero paper toilet seat covers and zero paper towels. I had to track and employee down just to get some toilet paper. When it came time to leave we had to put our cups on top of the trash can because the trash was overflowing. This location does not live up to the 85 degree name.
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
We went in on a whim and ended up getting their Cantonese moon cake box. We brought it home and upon opening, one of them had mold all over it. The expiration date was listed as October 6, 2024. We called the store and were told that the manager only approved of an exchange and to bring it in. At that point, we just wanted a refund because we didn't trust if any of the others had been compromised. We went all the way back to the store the next day and got a refund. We won't be returning!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Second time at this location and same experience as the first time. No Hi Hello and just stares at you like you're pestering them and seems like they hate working here. The guy that "helped" us just punch in our bread, we pay, and he just walked away, no have a great night or bye, left us so confuse. If you want a nice service and helpful staff go to the santa clarita branch. But 5 star for 85 degree's delicious pastries.
google avatar

M K.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! Always an amazing selection of goodies. Sweet or savory if not both. The coffee is also delicious!
google avatar

Ethan B.

Yelp
Yeah this location just isn't it. The cleanliness of the store could be better, for one. Two, customer service is definitely lacking. I've been to other 85 bakery locations where the encounters were much more pleasant... I noticed I think her name was Elise, she had a bad attitude. Overall I just didn't get a good vibe which unfortunately made my experience disappointing. Other locations have been proven to be better, sorry Northridge
google avatar

Jackie X.

Yelp
85C bakery is a great Asian bakery chain. I have gone to many locations but this one is my go-to because it's the only one in the valley. The people are always friendly and the inside is pleasant enough to eat a quick snack before heading out. I only have ever gotten pastries from them so I'm not sure how the other items are. If you go for pastries like me, you have to go before 10 am before they're all gone! I always get the egg tarts, either the traditional ones or the mochi ones in a 6 pack. I don't think they provide 6 packs when they're selling mooncakes which is seasonal. I also always get the sausage bun and spicy sausage bun, these are my favorite!!!! My partner and I like to take all of these items home and usually microwave them for 30 seconds so they're a little steamy.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has been reclining in quality the last couple of visits now, but today when we visited, all our favorite pastry staples were no longer there and replaced with new items. When I asked the cashier where all the old items went, he said these were always the items they had since he started working there. It's like I entered a new dimension where people didn't know what I was saying. The cakes haven't been good for a while. When our old pastry items WERE still available, they were always out. They advertised a new pastry we wanted to try but they didn't have any available. Why advertise a new pastry and not have any available? We tried to order our favorite sea salt coffee but the coffee machine was broken and the maintenance person did not look like he knew what he was doing. Our visits prior to this, the taste was declining and inconsistent. It seems like there's a high turnover rate as well. It's also sad because when this location opened, my family and I were so excited and the place inside is big and gorgeous. The reason my family and I loved 85 degree in the states was because of the "fresh bread" they would yell out, the greetings every time we came in. I understand due to COVID, we needed to start putting bread inside plastic baggies, and we still supported the business during COVID, but quality has never recovered since. I really hope this place improves and becomes what they used to be!
google avatar

CB M.

Yelp
Well the baked goods are okay . Prices is average. Good coffee hot. The chairs are mostly unbalance and can make you fall or slip of the chair if you are not paying attention. ( missing parts , adjustable screws under the chairs ) The tables are bad too , no one cleans/ wipes the tables. They are sticky and they have lots of scratches on it. They also need more chairs and tables. I think it's time for then to update and maintain their store and furnishings. The toilets are always gross and messy. I hope they do something about this. Before they start loosing customers. Service is good.
google avatar

Melissa O.

Yelp
I like this spot- their Red Grapefruit Green Tea is my favorite (I order it with zero sugar since I add boba to it). Their cakes and bread are really good, too. I also like their brioche and milk toast- they have lots of good things on their menu!
google avatar

Christina G.

Yelp
I love going to 85°, it's always a treat! I went with a few family members today (first time at this location) and my goodness what a negative experience. The worst location! We arrived a little after 7pm on a Tuesday and the inventory was down by maybe 50%. As soon as we grabbed the tray and wanted to pick out our goodies, the manager and an employee came into close proximity to clean/organize what little pastries they had left. It was quite awkward. Instead of allowing us to pick what we can and then organize, we had to wait because our turn was literally cut off. My family member mentioned the same thing to the manager, but she said that we could "go around". If you play back the cameras, you would see some very odd body language. So to sum it up, the service was below parr, the selection was very mediocre, and the place overall was a bit sloppy. Tip: don't go to the bathrooms unless you ready to witness a tragic scene!
google avatar

Crystal M.

Yelp
First time visiting this location, however I used to frequent the one in Cerritos. Definitely smaller in terms of the store but carries all the varieties. Came in on a Sunday and that may be why they were out of brioche bread which is a favorite. Cashier was quick to take my order and ring up all the sweets. Clean & inviting, I'll be back when in the area.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
I think the only time I've see thise bakery full of breads and has a lot of varieties was when it first open. Since then each time I go here it ALWAYS disappoint me. As soon as you walk in the EMPTY shelves will welcome you. I am not going to be surprise if one day this place is close. Like for me I will always have doubts of going here because you can't buy anything anymore. Waste of time and gas to drive here and find nothing that you like. So FRUSTRATING! I don't recommend this bakery. Go somewhere else and don't waste you time here.
google avatar

Aj O.

Yelp
The bread was cold and the shelves are empty. I came all the way from Palmdale since they dont have 85degrees i come here. Im kind of disappointed because everytime i come here to this store always empty.

Glen Y.

Yelp
Their website doesn't work and resetting does not work. Useless. 2nd time not working.

Yelp
I used to go to the location in century city all the time and it was amazing. They such a great selection of pastries and cakes and drinks. I loved going there and getting goodies for myself and even friends as a gift when coming over. This location is an embarrassment. They barely have a selection of anything. For savory options they only had 2... the cheese dog and the garlic bread (which was disgustingly sweet). There are a more sweet options but they didn't even have the buns. They had the same 8-10 options of pastries and breads in each case. It was 9 in the morning how did they not have enough options? I got 3 of the 8 repetitive options and then when I went to check out I asked for the warmed up sandwich and they said they didn't have it they only had the tuna sandwich in the close case behind me... how were they out of basically everything they carry? They should have just closed at that point. I ordered 2 drinks and it took 10 minutes to get them. Insane and unacceptable. It was a Vietnamese coffee and an ice brown sugar oat latte. There was only one person in front of me. They had only called one other order during the 10 minutes I was waiting. There were only 5 customers including me in the store and I ordered before 3 of them. I truly do not understand how it took so long. Will not be coming back to this location until management is able to get their stuff together and actually have product for their customers and get it out in a timely manner. Extremely disappointed. Do not come to this location

Yelp
Staff is friendly, store is somewhat clean, pastries stocked, price is somewhat reasonable, only a few tables open.

Yelp
I used to always go to the Irvine location when I used to go to school in that area and always wished they'd expand their locations. I was super excited and happy to find out that they were opening one literally down the street from where we lived! As soon as this spot opened, I would come here often and recommended this spot to my friends, family, and coworkers. Everyone loved it! They have a touch screen kiosk thing as soon as you enter to order drinks ahead of time and to skip getting in line behind everyone and their baked goods. It's been there for a while and I have yet to use it. It is ALWAYS broken or off when we come here! Not sure why. This spot is great. Parking is almost always packed but you can get lucky sometimes, also depends on the time of day. The workers are pretty fast as well, never had issues. They rotate their goods every now and then so sometimes they don't have my garlic bread or whatever else I'm craving when I go but I always end up getting something anyway. Their boba is also decent and good but Tea n Tea is across diagonally from them in the same lot so I prefer to get their boba. Other than that, I love this place and need to drop by again soon! Yelp
Good place for a quick stop for a croissant maybe, but not to study or anything. As a college student I like to find cool places to study, this place promised free WiFi, there's none here. It's not a relaxing or calm environment, it's loud and a lots going on. There's only like 4 tables, the only one available was really dirty and sticky. The coffee was okay, not the best. To anyone looking to study somewhere, not here

Yelp
Bread is so good and soft I try not to go often because I end up eating like 3 breads at once. Only complaint is sometimes but takes long to pay especially during the weekend.

Yelp
Delicious cakes, some were kind of dry. The Thai tea was lacking flavor but the black tea boba was good in terms of flavor but the boba was hard and not chewy
