8th & Roast - Midtown

Pastry case was tempting. Got the chorizo breakfast burrito and the holy cannoli iced coffee. The burrito was awesome. The coffee was not as sweet as I normally get, but I wasn’t mad about it. The vibes are immaculate. There was a cute little display of the baristas’ pets. If I lived in the city I would visit weekly.

I like this place! It’s my first time in Nashville and this place is close to my hotel so I tried it out and I don’t regret it. I got a cortado, Hand pour(Ethiopia suke Quoto) Bacon egg cheese on a croissant and a cinnamon roll. The food was good. The cortado was great, but I really enjoyed the Hand Pour. I would come here again.

Visited while in town for work. The barista was knowledgeable about the roasts they had on brew and the selection of beans they had for retail sale. The coffee I got in store was fantastic and the beans I purchased were amazing as well. The only thing I’d change was the amount of seating available in the cafe, but this is no fault of the staff. Overall great experience and would absolutely recommend!

A good coffee shop with multiple locations. There is plenty of parking across the street. Good espresso coffee menu with seasonal drinks. The iced harvest moon was very good.

The atmosphere is nice, and the coffee os ok. But the person who is taking the order is really not welcoming. It is also really unprofessional that there’re no name was called when the drink is ready which caused someone else took my drink. I had to wait for longer. The lid is also really loose, and I constantly spilling on my shirt which RUINED my day.

We ordered coffee for delivery. The delivery came (via Uber) in an unsealed cup. Additionally, the 16 oz is advertised as 4 espresso shots. I ordered the dulce de leche (iced) with vanilla syrup added, and I ended up with water with a slight brown tint. It has absolutely zero flavor for $12. Do not recommend!

They have the most delicious, original and unique coffee (and tea) creations I’ve ever had. And the food is really good too! Super cute little spot. Love to come here while visiting Nashville. Wish I had one at home. I want their Sunbather Matcha every day.

This is one of the nicest coffee places in Nashville midtown/campus area. Great location, friendly baristas, high quality coffee and nice food options. Also the bathrooms are many and incredibly clean for a coffee shop.

After recently taking a Coffee 101 class with 8th & Roast, I was on the hunt for a bag of their cold brew beans and happened to be in the area this past week, so decided to stop in. Sadly, this location did not have the cold brew beans, but I scooped up a bag of their Sweet Brazil beans...and I am not mad at it! This 8th & Roast is located in Midtown, at the base of the Broadview apartment building on 20th. The space is small, but functional. They have a small outdoor courtyard with a few tables, then inside have seating at the windows and a high-top counter. Cozy and purposeful. While I was after beans, I couldn't stop by and not grab a cold brew. So, I did just that. Coffee was tasty and as expected. Service was friendly and quick. Welcomed upon entry, chatted up while ordering and wished a good day. Parking can be a bit tricky, but there is a lot across the way that allows for easy in and out. Overall, solid 8th & Roast location!

Everyone here is so nice and friendly. Tried their veggie egg sandwich, really liked the pesto sauce it came with, but nothing super special about the sandwich itself. I really enjoyed their premade chia pudding. The chocolate one has lots of chocolate chunks and good quality peanut butter. Their chai was only ok, didn't taste freshly brewed and more syrupy, and in hindsight would have picked a coffee drink instead. There is not much parking near the midtown location since it is connected to an apartment complex (The Broadview). There is some street parking on Music Row, and you would have to walk a little bit. Both outdoor and indoor seating.

Eighth & Roast is connected to my daughter's apartment complex (Broadview). Before an early morning meeting, I used the access door conveniently located inside The Collaborative to pick up coffee and a pastry. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered a large drip coffee and warmed cinnamon roll. Another reviewer mentioned the fruity notes in the coffee which I'm not sure I liked, but it wasn't overwhelming. It was all fresh and comforting, nonetheless.

Five stars for a cute coffee shop that has a collage of employee pets on the window. I'm always here for pet photos. My coworker and I were staying at the Loews nearby so we walked over for breakfast. I opted for a hand poured coffee which was great with some fruity notes as well as a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. That biscuit was so buttery and delish, made for a perfect breakfast. The staff was super friendly, and I liked the vibes of the coffee shop. I would definitely post up here to work a bit if I lived in the area.

Cinnamon rolls were trash. Literally hard to dig into with my fork, and after one bite, we threw them in the trash. Service was fine. Chai latte, drinkable, but if I hadn't just spent $25 on stuff I threw away, I'd throw it away also. Tasted like syrup.

Eighth & Roast always delivers - I loved the seasonal sweet potato pie latte! 10/10. This new location is a cute spot to pop into, plenty of natural lighting. Only caveat: parking can be a challenge. I found the easiest solution was to find a paid spot by Torchy's Tacos for like $1.75/hour. The baristas were kind and helpful.

A Nashville staple with really good coffee. I always seem to find a parallel parking space too as I'm heading toward downtown.

Always visit this place when I'm in town for a work trip! They are fast and coffee quality is great. I appreciate how they make their own syrups as not a lot of coffee shops in the area does!

Cute little coffee shop just outside the west side of Vanderbilt University. Espresso drinks were excellent, but it's a shame the cappuccino only came in one size. We arrived around 2:30pm on a Thursday and they were sold out of biscuits, one of the main reasons for stopping in. Service was friendly. The cafe is small, so if busy, might be hard to find a seat inside.

We had stopped by after church and had a wonderful experience, the girls working were super nice to us. The coffee I had was incredible and so was the gingerbread muffin. We will be visiting again!

8th's newest location does not disappoint! So happy to have them in the area! Friendly staff, fantastic seasonal drinks, drip coffee and pastries.

Overflowing trash cans outside the front door should have been a red flag, but it was close to my hotel. I should have gone the extra distance for a better cup of coffee. The Americano was weak and watery and, just brewed, was only warm. The person at the register, far from actually engaging, just did the minimum to get the order without making any kind of effort or even looking you in the face. It wasn't busy, and that's understandable.

Customer service lacking. No greeting when we walked in, girl behind counter just slid coffees across the counter and said "here you guys go," and then went back to being on her phone. Not sure why this place has 5 star ratings. Coffee is okay and place is pretty clean.

Great food. Great service. Great vibes. Brioche breakfast sandwich was delicious! We'll definitely be back!!

Food, fellowship with my people including my friends and the great service from the staff will keep me frequently going to this restaurant! The atmosphere was welcoming so we loved being there and didn't want to go when it was time to leave!
