"While they’re known for their locally sourced ingredients, the sourdough crust is what sets the pizzas apart at 9 Miles East Farm. What started as a pizza delivery service has evolved into a brick and mortar shop, where the menu also includes very good, kind-of-healthy options like salmon, vegetable egg bowls, and salads. Going for dinner will give you the widest array of options—try the chimichurri skirt steak over seasonal vegetables, the barnyard pizza with local mozzarella and sausage, and the simple salad with local baby greens. There are few things better than having their Farmhouse Pizzas and a local beer from Common Roots or Northway Brewing Company at one of the patio tables when it’s nice out." - lauren breedlove

Google
After perusing the wide online selection of Saratoga Springs Sunday brunch options, I selected 9 Miles East for several potentially Whole Food Plant Based selections on their menu. With ample off-street parking, the eatery sits on the outskirts of downtown Saratoga Springs, emanating an industrial vibe both outside (concrete surfaces & garage door) and in (pock-marked cinderblock walls). I started with a cold brewed coffee that I discarded after several sips. It’s rare that I can order the superior steel-cut rather than the more common rolled oats, and so I followed with the Toasted Steel-Cut Oats. The oats were cooked well, with a colorful assortment of dried fruit and pumpkin seeds; however, they lacked the nuts specified on the menu, they were runny (see photo), and they were cool in sections, as if quickly microwaved without being stirred. I felt rushed to finish them as they became cooler by the minute in the cold interior of the restaurant (half the patrons were dining in their coats). I finished with the Grains & Greens Veg Bowl, without the egg and pesto. This was a tasty dish, although a little too oily for me. The staff was happy to accommodate my request for added kale, which was fresh and tasty, too. The side of house-baked bread was tasty, but not toasted as specified in the menu. I pleasantly found that none of the food was salty, as is the case in most of the restaurants I visit. Dishes were generously sized, and prices were exceptionally reasonable.

Google
As far as taste when there is cheese, tomato sauce and crust it is delicious! 5 stars. Love the sourdough. But mine came out small. The dough wasn't spread out enough. Look at how much space is still in the pizza box. Lots of dough and no cheese or tomato. I lost a lot of topping for a pizza I paid $24 for. But other than that, it's delicious.

Google
What an amazing place. The pizza is humongous and definitely the cleanest pizza I’ve ever eaten. Every ingredient was homemade and fresh. It didn’t feel like you were eating a greasy pizza from some dirty pizza place. The crust was amazing and finding out it was sourdough allowed my wife to be able to enjoy this pizza as Well since she is gluten sensitive. We got a pie of the hot and honey and one 1/2 vegetable and 1/2 sausage. Each was so delicious and helped fuel us after a long day. I would recommend this to everyone who is in the area!

Google
Great place to stop for a delicious pizza or other healthy and creatively scrumptious meals. Three of us went and had a feast. Very good food that's good for you. Loved the interior setting and the outdoor section was open as well. Loved that it was off Broadway and all of the traffic. Nice quiet space. Loved the local beer, tried a few different kinds.

Google
We stopped here for a late lunch and will definitely be back! The sourdough margarita pizza was amazing! So crispy yet still soft and chewy. The cheese was so stretchy and the basil was so fresh. We also ordered a winter salad with chicken. All the ingredients were so fresh and tasty. This was enough to feed 4 adults with leftover pizza slices!

Google
Wow I was totally not expecting this place to be THIS GOOD. The most impressive breakfast/brunch spot. And I’m a pro foodie. The portions are huge and so worth every penny. Chia bowl was not too sweet which I adore, and was super light. All the breakfast sandwiches were phenomenal, I didn’t want to stop eating. I will 100% be back, I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!!!!

Google
No words, just wow! Ok a few words… it’s so important to have access to farm fresh food & 9 Miles East takes that to another level. Everything we tried had us “mmmming” out loud after every bite. Great flavor, prices, and service! Will be back for Pho asap.

Google
Expect counter service during the day. Amazing food, the bread and pizza were really good. Salads were fresh and delicious. Shakshouka was the best i've ever had.

Andrea C.

Yelp
Adorable farm to table restaurant with patio seating and bakery items. We ordered the chia pudding (delicious) and the soup, salad & pizza slice combo. Chia pudding was creamy, delicious and a huge portion. Others at the table enjoyed the salad and crust of the sourdough pizza. They had a lot of to-go orders getting picked up and there were many options for grab and go meals that looked tasty and fresh. Tasty, fresh & friendly!

Yelp
I cannot believe I had to travel all the way to Saratoga Springs to find my favorite pizza in the US (versus my childhood Chicago stuffed pizza that some say is not really pizza). 9 Miles East is a great combination of pizza place and small store that sells products from their namesake farm. But this pizza was a work of art and took me 48 hours to eat. The addition of hot honey drizzled over the cheese was genius and made a great product even better. In the words of Dave Portnoy: "The undercarriage, to die for!"

Kristen S.

Yelp
Ordered online-3 pizzas and a salad. The pepperoni was our top pick followed by the barnyard (sausage) and veggie. When you check in on Yelp you get a free vegan salad-go box. Got there earlier than when my order was promised and they offered me a water, lemonade or iced T on the house-very sweet. The pizzas were great however I could hardly find a vegetable on the pizza.

Heather L.

Yelp
The smell when you walk into this quaint and humble establishment is absolutely mesmerizing! The meals here are hands down some of the most fresh, tasty and simply made meals around. They had me when I saw they offered Shakshuka on the menu as it's not often found. Everything is locally grown and what I love is that they also provide all this incredibly yummy food via a food prep delivery service that delivers these meals weekly to you (home or office) if you want! I love that you get huge portions for great prices and best of all it's supporting all the local farms. Definitely a must if your local and looking for delicious comfort food!

Yelp
I ended up here for lunch because it was one of the few places open on New Year's Day, and I'm so grateful I did! They are the truest definition of a farm to table restaurant as their menu features food using the ingredients they grow themselves on their farm. For lunch, my boyfriend and I ordered the Hot Mess Bowl, which is chock full of vegetables, sausage, ham, chimichurri, and parmesan cheese topped with a poached egg and a toasted roll on the side. It was so hearty and delicious. It definitely hit the spot! We also ordered the Hot Honey Pizza, which was one of the many sourdough pizza options they had. The pizza was huge and had plenty of Hot Honey on it. The flavor was delicious, and it was super cheesy! The waitstaff was also really friendly and attentive. We felt welcomed, and we can't wait to try more of their delicious food. Thankfully, they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Yelp
I loved this place! I wish I found it sooner. I love sourdough and the crust was phenomenal. The appetizer was so unique and full of flavor, and nutrients both of which I love. The chicken dish was awesome and had a kick! Can't wait to come back.

Marissa N.

Yelp
Having family in the Ithaca area it was a kick that they used flour from Ithaca. The food was good, the crust is definitely hearty and has a grain flavor. The desserts were delicious. Service was pickup and seamless with their posted directions.

Sammi L.

Yelp
Went for a vegie bowl. It consisted of a load of sweet potatoes and onions with 3 red pepper strips and 2 pieces of spinach. The pesto and roll were delicious. The vegie bowl was a joke.

Lily G.

Yelp
Pizza was very good, not incredible. Needed more pepper and whole tomato on the San Marzano. Also, for those who found this place on google, this is farm themed and not at all on a farm. Do not expect a view or any greenery nearby. They do have outdoor seating, but the place resembles a coffee shop more than it does a pizza place. Service was decent but absent near the end of our stay.

Denise C.

Yelp
As we head into warmer weather I am always mindful about eating better. In order to do so, 9 Miles East Cafe always comes to mind. The ingredients they use are either from their own farm or locally sourced. You can't help but feel good eating here, or getting some delicious options to go. Their food selections are always interesting, whether you're here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also offer specials depending on the day and or season. No doubt that you will always be eating foods that are seasonal and fresh! I can't rave enough about their slow made sourdough pizza's and their house made breads and cookies, soups and salads etc.. Today, I happened to be in for breakfast. I really really like their pagnotelle sour dough rolls. Why you ask? Well who doesn't love well made sour dough rolls and or bread? Especially if it has a crisp exterior and a soft interior and did I mention the size of this roll? It's big, and mine happened to be filled with all kinds of roasted veg, a poached egg cooked to perfection and locally sourced ham with delicious pesto. Wowza and lip smacking yum!! Their beverage assortment both hot and cold hits the spot too! We ordered a hot coffee, brewed iced tea as well as a cold mint tea and it was quite refreshing. There's parking right next to the eatery and ample seating outside as well as good seating inside. The staff is always nice and very accommodating. Especially, if you want to omit something from what is included in your food selection and no problem. Their pricing is reasonable for the quality that you are getting. You will leave here full and satisfied with your leftovers in a container for later. This is a delicious place that I highly recommend. You can eat in or grab lots of tasty and good for you items to go!!!

Yelp
Awesome. Has breakfast two mornings in a row. Wish I could have stayed for dinner. Everything was super fresh and staff was friendly.

Julia T.

Yelp
Yummy pizza and nice salads in a quaint, cozy, farm to table vibe. We sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed the veggie bowl , a salad, and a crusty pizza at a rustic outdoor table. The staff is friendly and helpful and you need to order inside and grab your own silverware but we didn't mind.

Pamela L.

Yelp
Pizza is delicious! Crust is sourdough flavored and cooked to perfection. Ingredients are fresh & not greasy. Not a sweet sauce which is what I like. Tried the Thai salad but was a bit plain. Would have added a bit more to it for the price, some other veg. Dressing was on point and tasty!

Jeanne K.

Yelp
I looked up reviews and let me tell you this place did not disappoint! The pizza was amazing Will definitely be back on our next trip to this area

Victoria C.

Yelp
Really nice and attentive service. The bowl was delicious! Very flavorful, filling, and nutritious. There was so much I couldn't even finish this bowl. Would definitely come back again. They also have nice outdoor seating. My friends got pizza and sandwiches which were also just as good

Antonella M.

Yelp
Food was good and counter girls were nice. We got the Argentinian sandwich, pizza slice, and a huge salad. The portions were good

Olivia M.

Yelp
This was the first we place we stopped at since we we're looking for pizza and I went for the grilled vegetable pizza. It did not disappoint at all, there was a nice mix of finely cut up veggies which covered the whole pizza without overpowering the top. It ended up having so many leftovers it lasted a couple meals for me which was great. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. The restaurant was clean they also had a nice outdoor seating area with string lights which made it very cozy during the warmer weather. The sourdough crust didn't have a big sourdough flavor which I didn't mind and it was new to try!

Kate C.

Yelp
The sourdough pizza is incredible. Just the right amount of cheese to sauce to dough ratio. Top notch. 5 stars every time!

Tim R.

Yelp
Great experience at 9 miles East. It was a beautiful night so the restaurant was busy but we were promptly seated and attended to. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. We ordered pizza and it was outstanding! Been coming here since it opened and it never disappoints. Always leave happy wanting to come back soon!

Tiffanie L.

Yelp
Really good local food. You can tell that all the food is organic. The chef cooks the food with minimal seasoning but it's the perfect amount. Instead of leaving feeling heavy & disgusted like for example after eating at a fast food joint, you leave with a potentially loaded yet satisfied meal. (The meal will def help you later on if you get my drift...) The servers were really nice, i think they were caught off guard as there was a bunch of asian ppl with us, but they were quite friendly & the most courteous. Pizza was top tier. Everything was fresh. & it was at an affordable price!

Yelp
We have had a subscription delivery meal plan with 9 Miles for over a year and have been more than pleased with both the food provided and the service. We have also had numerous pizzas from 9 Mile and really enjoyed the quality of the ingredients and the uniqueness of some toppings. But that's not why I'm writing this review. If you go to their website and view their menu you will not find what I'm about to share with you. When you are placing your order through their subscription program you will not see this item listed among those available for delivery. But for awhile now, the weekly email we have received with that week's menu, and other items available, has included a photo and description of something called an Argentinian. My curiosity got the best of me, and the photo certainly looked inviting. Today the stars all lined up and I had an appointment near 9 Mile at about the same time that I began to think about what I was going to have for dinner. Ergo an Argentinian was the obvious conclusion. As you can see from my photo, the Argentinian ($15) is a sandwich consisting of grilled chorizo sausage, that they purchase from Walden Meats, house-made chimichurri, and crisp lacto-fermented cabbage, all inside their house-made sourdough rolls. I was enjoying the wonderful flavors enough that I didn't take the time to figure out whether the nice level of spiciness was coming from the chorizo, the chimichurri, or both. The rolls have a nice soft crust, and since they have a light and airy crumb, they are easily squished to provide the right amount of bread to filling ratio. Did I mention that their grilling of the sliced chorizo provides a bit of char and crispness to the casing? Yum. The pickle slice they provided was also very good, and I'm not even a pickle fan.

Yelp
We came here based in the excellent reviews. This place did not disappoint. We ordered the "indecision" which included a small salad, a very big pizza (we got the hot honey pizza), 4 pieces of bone in chicken with roasted root mash, and 2 desserts from the bakery. Everything tasted amazing and fresh. The hot honey pizza with sourdough crust was exceptional. I've been looking for a place to eat that is healthy. This will be a place I look forward to visiting frequently.

Ashok J.

Yelp
Came here after reading good reviews about their sourdough. Tried the vegan sandwich with pickled beets and mushrooms in pesto sauce. The pickled beets overtook all flavors and it felt like I was just eating pickle. For $15, I expected more but the taste fell flat. The mushrooms had absolutely no seasoning. The sourdough did love up to the expectations but the whole sandwich was quite impressive. This sandwich has to be reworked.

Shellie W.

Yelp
We had dinner catered for a large group with lots of allergies. The 9 Miles East team were fantastic helping come up with a menu, everything was absolutely delicious, and our allergen-sensitive people were delighted to have so much tasty variety!

Courtenay C.

Yelp
One of the best places I've ever been. Amazing food and service. So sweet to our dog too. Great find!!! Grain bowl with egg, shakshuka, turkey sand, awesome iced teas, best homemade bread, froyo, incredibly fresh salad. Exceptional!

Caryna F.

Yelp
Easily 5 stars. Wish I could give them more! Customer for life. Salads- we had the fall salad. Delicious. The homemade dressings were so tasty. Portion size is huge! Pizza- we had the sausage pizza...delicious. The crust was perfect and the sauce and cheese just yummy. The local sausage was spicy and super tasty. Again, portion size was huge! Spicy Honey sauce for said pizza- what a delicious idea! I tried drizzling this on my pizza for the first time. Amazing. Loved it. Will do this again. They sell take away food as well. We bought a couple of jars of local honey to take home as gifts. Bought the corn-rosemary cookies. Delicate flavor. Their other bakery treats were sold out by noon. In addition to awesome salads and pizza, they offer freshly made soups. Today it was Thai red lentil. It looked so tempting...be we already had more food than we could possibly eat. This is hands down my favorite place in Saratoga. Go here. Indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of tables.

AJ P.

Yelp
Sweet hot honey pizza is on point ! The staff is so nice friendly family like, sweet and helpful !! We were so happy with our choice !!! Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. You too will utterly relish the experience. Don't forget their homemade lemonade !

Tanya H.

Yelp
If you want fresh, healthy food then this is the place for you! I had the brunch grazing plate and enjoyed every morsel. I wasn't able to finish the bread and hummus but if I had room I would have! My hubby had the turkey sandwich and enjoyed it as well! They have tables outside so we were able to enjoy the nice weather. I would definitely come here again the next time we are in Saratoga!

Kaval P.

Yelp
Definitely wasn't expecting sweet potatoes and chickpeas on a tikka masala pizza. Chickpeas were also undercooked. I know i should have asked what was in the pizza, but i just had too much trust itd actually be a more typical tikka masala slice.

michelle b.

Yelp
What can I say? Probably the best pizza in Saratoga! Sourdough pizza crust is fantastic. Love sitting outside and eating farm fresh ingredients. Staff is supper friendly and helpful. They are close to town and have their own parking lot, , so it is very very convenient. Prices are reasonable. Nice menu. Absolutely give it a try!

Cathleen B.

Yelp
Delicious. We got a hot honey pizza and a spring salad with salmon. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend.

Way S.

Yelp
Nicest people best food. Anyone going north or south needs to stop here for their great soups and pizza. Brunch is not to be missed and so glad we made a 10 min detour to stop here.

Lynn F.

Yelp
We had good pizza . Flavorful , local ingrediants . Just wish it was crisper and they were out of all coffee due to water issue . Would go back if in the area

Michael C.

Yelp
Delicious food highly recommend for a casual meal. Everything is made with love. Pizza and food bowl was excellent. Will come back!

Katie G.

Yelp
Funky decor. Great hygge. Love the winter salad: beets, feta, pumpkin seeds. It paired nicely with my husband's chicken in puréed veggie mash of sweet potatoes and butternut squash. If we had a few more people at our table, we would've gotten a pizza- they are HUGE and looked incredible. Wish I got a sourdough loaf. Next time...

Michael A.

Yelp
Fresh local food. Nice owner and staff. Becoming one of our favorite new spots for breakfast. The prepared takeout they have available is great. Highly recommend.

Ruby T.

Yelp
If you are a single, older woman, looking to eat alone, don't bother coming here. Rude service. I said "Hi, can I get a menu? " to the server who looks at me and keeps walking. She gets behind the counter and says "How many?" I'm standing there alone-I said"Me." She hands me a menu. "Do I order here?" "Yes, then we bring the food to your table" So I order. I'm feeling not welcome, and end forgetting to say I want chicken on my salad. "Do you have ginger beer?" "No sodas." (No eye contact either -both staff I saw scowling.) So-not gonna tip 20% here between crankiness and knowing I get my own silverware and napkins and have to order at counter. Doing the 'custom tip' as I also ring myself out. This takes longer, and is a tad confusing. Her nibs is drumming her nails on the counter. Salad comes sans chicken. I realize it might have been my ordering error. I ask the server, who comes back out and slams down the salad, now with chicken, as she's turning on her heel to walk away again: " Did I pay you for the chicken?" ($4 extra) I'm trying to acknowledge my error. "No, but we're not gonna worry about it." she says with what appears to be her first smile-but more like a smirk. I look down- a pile of roughly hacked chicken breast was thrown helter skelter in a pile on the greens. It seemed less like a courtesy to not charge me than 'Can't wait to get rid if you' feeling. And I was happy to be done eating. I understand busyness, and I'm not one for overweening customer service, but, man!! And the food was 'eh!' -too much lemon in the 'Thai' dressing. I'm not a big, yelp complainer, but I'm tired of being treated like a second class citizen as an older singleton, and a female.

Rick J.

Yelp
Way overrated terrible pizza Not sure why this place gets any positive reviews Pizza dough not meant to be sourdough ruins the whole pie Very little chees

Martin B.

Yelp
Excellent pizza, sourdough crust is appreciably better than ordinary dough. We arrived a few minutes before closing but were welcomed and treated nicely. The salad was fresh and crisp, great complement to the pizza. Beer was good! Great choices for all! Highly recommend.

Anissa P.

Yelp
Very confused by the raving reviews. Made a stop here on the drive up to Vermont. The woman is not friendly at all. She has major RBF. The pizza was a bit grainy but the salad was delicious! Loved their coffee and it's a cute spot... but just based on the service- I would never recommend anyone going there.

Deborah M.

Yelp
Delicious healthy food in a casual atmosphere. We walked there from the Marriott Courtyard.

Jocelyn B.

Yelp
A little further from the main strip of Saratoga Springs, this place was a gem! Hipster vibe (looks like it was converted from a garage maybe?) with absolutely delicious food. Sourdough crust pizza that was outstanding (and we are from Brooklyn, so our standards are high ;). We also got the Shakshuka and the Hot Mess- which was an incredible mix of yummy flavors. I'm so glad we found this place!!

K R.

Yelp
Y'all do you see what I'm seeing? $27 for a salad with salmon, and they give you a quarter of a filet of salmon, that's crazyyyyy. This is the saddest and smallest amount of protein I've EVER seen given the price point and I'm from a big city .... The flavors were good but this is pretty disrespectful, won't be going back.

Amy B.

Yelp
Food is consistently great as is the service. Just enough beverage choices; this is the less is more place! So good! Best pizza, best salad, best salmon.

karin s.

Yelp
Seriously amazing pizza! We needed a place to stop on a road trip and this was such a welcome surprise. We had the sausage pizza and a big salad. I'd come back here anytime I was in the area again! And the service was excellent.

Kim P.

Yelp
Pizza is excellent, and their sourdough crust is perfect! The banana bread is a hard NO-extremely dry to the point of being inedible.

Debbie B.

Yelp
food was horrible, pizza was burnt, soup was suppose to be vegetable, I have no idea what it was but it was horrible, girl behind the counter was playing with her long hair that wasn't pulled back,

Jem B.

Yelp
Wow more than pizza (which is good) But they have so much more! Salmon poke is fresh light and filling. There chimmichuri sauce on the steak taste real Argentinian style tart, acid, fresh cut herbs! Dessert is delicious pot de creme thick style choco mousse! Gordon the owner is sweet and attentive, as well as the other staff! New fave restaurant in the area!

Lee G.

Yelp
One of the top places to order pizza from in toga. The sourdough crust is amazing & different selections than just your normal topping pizza. Super fresh foods
