Really good selection of beers, excellent Greek food and they have Skinos. I loved the murals on the wall as well. We there pre and post marathon and also during the Chicago marathon, which passes right outside.

Love this place. Wonderful authentic Greek food-terrific Souvlaki! Our group went two nights in a row-it was well worth it! Whether it’s at the bar or at a table, you’ll have a great time and a wonderful meal.

Writing this as I eat because I was so astounded. The food is TO DIE FOR, and the espresso martini is the best I’ve ever had. Service was amazing and it came fast. Huge portions and so tasty! Add it to your list next time you’re in Greektown!

The menu looked great but this was a just a stop for a cocktail. This may have been one of the best Espresso martinis I’ve had and the service was great! Nice little restaurant if you’re in Greektown.

Mixed grill seafood tasted much better than it looks. The octopus was grilled perfectly. The beef kefta plate was tender and delicious. Really enjoyed the grilled pita which gave it both a crispy and soft texture. Friendly service. Bottle corkage fee $10 but house Greek wine bottles have a $10 happy hour I believe. The small outdoor patio was perfect but can be noisy.

All the workers where very nice and respectful. The service was smooth and pretty fast. The food AMAZING. The atmosphere was pretty chill and the restaurant is pretty.

9 Muses Bar and Grill Restaurant, it is kid and pet friendly . The service was great, our waitress. She was fantastic , and the fast service made us feel very comfortable,food and drinks were great. For appetizers, we ordered the lemon sausage, which was a great flavor to taste. My favorite dish was French fries with feta cheese on top! My husband had the Mediterrean veggie pasta . I had the Mediterranean Chiken with Veggie. Was a good portions. Delicious!

10/10 would recommend! The food was amazing and the service was even better! Would frequent this spot if I lived in Chicago!

What a cool place and great food. We got there early and were greeted with a smile and friendly help from behind the bar. We were hoping for an authentic Greek experience and when we heard some of the men at the bar speaking Greek, we knew we found it. There is graffiti art all around the place that looks amazing. We ordered octopus and the three spreads for a starter and honestly it was enough but we wanted more. Chicken Schwarna with greek fries and an authentic Greek salad where yummy. We ordered Bougatsa for dessert a lovely Philo dough custard filled dessert enough for two or four. Great music, great service, great food, great experience.

What a lovely find in Greek town! Quite different from our usual, and everything delicious. Zucchini cakes (like potato cakes) with tzatziki-delightful. Spicy calamari is INCREDIBLE!!! Pork belly gyro was delicious but could use more meat & tomatoes. And the DESSERTS!!!! Bougatsa was yummy; the custard was firm (not gooey & overwhelming like the stuff in a donut,) and it wasn't overly sweet. The baklava cheesecake is the stuff of dreams!!! Super creamy with lots of delectable baklava chunks on top. I would come back just for that. Incredible. Only complaint was the too-loud dance music in the dining room; distracting and more fit for a bar. Wrong vibe for the room, way too much base to enjoy delicious food by. Will definitely be back and they apparently do takeout really well also.

I came here with about 20 other people and had a great time. The restaurant has friendly staff, great food, and a great location. Everyone enjoyed their food, wine, and beer. I had pasta, and it was delicious! The portions are large, I could not finish all my food.

I have no idea why this place only has a 3.6. The food, drinks, and service were all top notch. I got the Mediterranean Chicken dish and a couple espresso martinis. The chicken was very flavorful and went well with the complimentary bread. However, the real star was the espresso martini. You have to get the espresso martini here if you are a fan!! It was the perfect amount of sweet & had the creamy color I like. 11/10. Our server, who was very pleasant, said these espresso martinis are the best in the city & she wasn't lying!!

Greektown of course has a lot of Greek restaurants, and this is one of the most enduring ones with a history of food and fun. It's a local family run business that even though it can get loud and crazy, it still has a quaintness to it. 9 Muses is more like a bar but still a restaurant. Always has some ethnic music blasting. The prices aren't bad for around here. A lot of choices for Greek are around here but this is not only among the best food, but also it's pretty affordable. I picked it for a date because it was cheaper then the other Greek places across the street. There's no valet parking here though. Good specials on drinks and food. It was $5 for a Hillas. This is one of the best Greek beers, and there's also imported wine if you're more into that. As for the food, vegetarian options are lacking but they have a few. We got the Grilled Vegetables Appetizer to share. It's $9 for quite a bit. This was a colorful plate of vegetables tossed in olive oil. Good flavors even though it was just vegetables, but it was better than it looked. There was eggplant, squash, yellow peppers, and zucchini. On the rest of the menu, there's meaty dishes like chicken kabobs and octopus. There were a few diners there who ordered these, which are delicacies in Greek restaurants. Basically it's a great place for authentic Greek. It can have more of a club atmosphere with the loud music. The atmosphere isn't for everyone, but it gives the place some personality since there's no TVs or anything to watch.

food came luke warm because driver had a delivery before me, i'm thinking. sandwich was to have 0 tomatoes, had many. extra pita cut into 4 pieces not kept whole. apples in salad turning brown cause they weren't dipped in lemon juice. now good things; cheese cake was very yummy and good size. gyros also yummy, good portion. lemony potatoes not lemony enough and really luke warm!!! with all that said would order from them again.

Ate here before a show at the uic pavilion, it was exactly what I wanted. A chill spot w good drinks and beer, v tasty Greek food. I got a gyro sandwich w rice and side of Greek fries w a Greek salad on the side. Service was good and the food was great too. Would def come back here or order from here! Parking over here is a hit or miss, not the easiest.

First time here and I really liked it. Bartender was friendly and not in a fake way. When my party came, I had the chicken shawarma plate and the food was prepared nicely and tasted great.

Soooo tasty! Those lemony potatoes are to die for. Ooo the little donuts too! I definitely recommend!

Very good Greek food excellent Greek Town atmosphere and ambience. Very clean and staff very attentive to make sure you are taken care of. The Chicken was excellent, salad Very fresh, rice was also good. I should have ordered appetizer but ordered ahead and did not think of it. The Calamari and Octupus are regular favorites along with many drinks which I was unable too partake in. Will be back to try.

I had a Cheddar and bacon Burger it was delicious and Sarunya the waitress was a very nice girl. I will be coming back!

Not open until 2a, walked in at 10:24 and was told that they are done for the evening while there's a fully seated bar and people sitting in the restaurant area. There goes my village salad.

In my attempts to continue trying all the different restaurants in Greek Town, I stumble upon 9 Muses with my friend for an after work dinner. While it isn't the best Greek I've had, it was certainly a fair attempt and a great deal of food for the price you pay. I ordered their Gyro Plate with Greek Fries ($13) which comes with a side salad and pita. The plate was massive and I was certainly impressed with the amount you get for your order. The gyro I had was a bit on the dry side so I needed the power of tzatziki sauce. My fries were sprinkled with feta and lemon and a solid side dish. Overall, food got the job done, but I only wish there was more to the gyros than how they ended up. They have plenty of daily drink specials which were incredibly tempting. Depending on the day you come, try and see if it's worth a drink. If you're a UIC student, you automatically get a 10% discount which is awesome!

Their chicken kebab pita with feta fries is delicious.

Deeply underwhelming is the only way to describe our meal. We ordered delivery. Most of my part of the meal was in the bottom of the bag when it arrived. No one wrapped my soup container in saran wrap so it spilled everywhere and soaked everything in the bag. They do have quality delivery bags, though. There was a full-on puddle at the bottom of the bag and it did not leak! My Greek salad wasn't the cheapest and only had a tiny square of feta and two olives. It was also so hot that unless I want to wait another hour and put it in the fridge, I am stuck with a warmer than room temp salad. The Greek fries were fine. I felt what I was able to eat of my meal was a bit under spiced. I think this may be the kind of place you should experience at the restaurant itself instead of opting for delivery.

My go to place for when I want a delicious gyro or chicken shawarma! (Or really when I just want something super delicious.) So yummy and on point every time! My favorites: -Gyro -Chicken Shwarma -9 Muses Pasta

9 muses has a very special place in my heart. It is one of the pillars of the Greek community. I am excited to see Greek nights post COVID coming back. Always have a great time here! Greek DJs always hit hard!

I've been waiting for 30 minutes for my entree. It took me 20 minutes to receive my appetizer. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! I asked for a Shirley temple, the waitress came back 20 minutes later saying the bartender couldn't make it because he did not have the alcohol.

Hidden gyro gem! This place is great. Gyro definitely competes with the best of them. Also the olives were super meaty and delicious! Staff was awesome!

Well...don't order this three spreads app for $14. Hummus is unnecessarily spicy and the feta is good but not like the spicy menu description. Insufficient veggies & pita...Lame, overvalued. Extra pita or veggies will cost you... 3.5% credit processing fee. Not worth staying for dinner and won't be visiting again.

My daughter and I stopped in after a day at the museum nearby. She's 14, and when we first walked in I was apprehensive as it seemed more like a bar. We almost walked out. I am glad we didn't the service and the food was great. I was pleasantly surprised.

Commendable. My work ordered from 9 Muses, and I got a Gyros Platter as recommended by most people. As seen on the picture, the portions are amazing. The salad is fresh, the dressing is on point, the rice is warm (a little overcooked for an Asian guy like me) and savory, the pita bread is a bit dry but understandably so, and the gyro is salty but well made that I would gladly finish it with a few bottles of water. Everything plays nicely with the 9 Muses's food. I love the presentation despite that this was a mass delivery. I also appreciate the napkins, plastic forks and knives (most people don't give you these). I only wish to go there and eat it when hot. I already know it's going to be a good experience.

Ah 9 Muses. I spent many a nights here while @ UIC. It was the perfect place to pick up a Frappe, or the perfect place for a drink. 9 Muses also has a great kitchen with a less traditional Greek menu than what you find in Greek Town. This is a trendier late night spot where many local folks come in the evening and weekends to dance away to their DJ. The crowd is always attractive, and the staff too. During the summer, their outdoor patio is all the rage. So, if you're ditching class, or simply want a great spot close to UIC, pop-in.

The Chicken Shawarma (or Gyro), whatever the Greeks call it is really good. More importantly, they have a nice outdoor patio, which is a great spot to sit in the summer.

Best Greek food in the city. The staff is friendly and attentive. I love to support a local family run business who will always go above and beyond to make sure you have a great dining experience. EVERYTHING on the menu is great. Stop by nine muses for great food and good times. Let's go Brandon!

My husband and I recently ordered from this restaurant on the way home from running errands. We had previously ordered from them during the pandemic in an effort to help support local restaurants stay afloat. Unfortunately, we won't be ordering from them again, not because the food was bad, but because they are overcharging customers for their entrees. In particular, in addition to two gyro sandwiches, we ordered fried calamari. The portion of food we received was shockingly small for the $14 we paid. It almost looked like someone's leftovers. When I asked about it, I was told their servings were by the ounce. SMH. I am happy to place my orders elsewhere with restaurants that offer value to their customers.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. I don't have any picture of the decor but it's very fun and creative. The drink menu was great. Tons of Greek beer options and the bartender was the best. Have a pre-dinner drink at the bar and chat with him. My dinner was super authentic. I loved the seafood. Lastly, DO NOT skip the desserts. Easily the best part. I ate was more than I should have but I don't regret it. The honey was abundant and it added a sweetness without it giving a complete toothache. 9 muses is the tits. Go try it.

Good food. Great service. Happy we stopped in for an appetizer. Maybe a bit crowded and not much social distancing...but we were able to have a table away from the bar where no one seemed to be worried about covid.

Bartenders ruin the experience because of their attitudes and non-caring approach with service. 9 Muses has the great Greek vibes but need to eye their bartenders with the customer service they attribute. They seem to just want the tip and leave for the night. Used to enjoy this place, though the service is terrible and dreadful. Make sure they don't stare down their customers to the point of being uncomfortable.

Just stopped in on a whim for lunch and found the food to be great! Bit of a wait but will definitely come back. Chicken shawarma pita and rice was delicious!

The fried calamari was disappointing for the $13 price tag. Everything else was decent, but nothing overwhelming enough to drown out the calamari disappointment.

Nice place for a lunch for both smaller parties and bigger groups, like work lunches. When I've gone it's been in the middle of the day during the week and they somehow haven't been too busy during the lunch rush, and the fact that the restaurant is spread out over a few different rooms is nice. The gyros there are great, as are the fries and the rice. Everything I've seen friends order looked good too, from the chicken wraps to the burger. The turkey burger is on special sometimes, but I noticed it looks a lot smaller than the regular burger or at least it did when I went, so keep that in mind if you're really hungry. If you go with a group make sure to ask for separate checks ahead of time, not at the end.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. A neighborhood spot that is still welcoming to visitors. No matter what we've ordered-- gyros, skordato pasta, or burgers-- it's always good. The keftedes are a must!

This is a great casual restaurant. We love that they have all the windows open so we can enjoy the beautiful summer while sitting inside. They also have a good size patio. The food menu is simple but all seem good. We came in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We sat in the corner of the bar where there was a nice cross breeze. We ordered chicken kabob, mixed grill and feta + eat salad. The food was healthy and delicious. I thought the ocotopus was amazing and wished I order the grilled ocotopus. Service was really good. We'll definitely be back.

Ordered the gyro and it was disappointing. Probably the worst gyro I've had but it was edible so it wasn't like god awful it just wasn't good. Id expect more for Greek town ‍‍ wouldn't recommend it especially cuz it was like 20 bucks and not good at all.

This is a very underrated spot in the area. Great spot for lunch because it doesn't get too crowded. Service is always good and food comes pretty quick as well. I've ordered the chicken plate, gyro plate, cheeseburger and chicken pita. They were all delicious, never had a bad meal there.

Food is pretty decent. I would def like to try their other food on the menu. Waitresses were vey nice to us. They're very police and firefighter friendly. I high recommend in supporting their business.

The food and service were both great. Had the three dips for an appetizer, the tzatziki and spicy feta were great. For the mains we got chicken and gyro platters and gyro platters. Portions were large and the food was delicious. Drinks were also legit and the service was great. Not sure why the reviews aren't higher, will be back.

To be seated within the restaurant but to feel like you're outdoors! It's a Sunday evening around 6pm and the front windows were wide open. We were showcased as we dined away. I certainly don't mind the attention and Greektown scenery. It was a bit early and we had an appetite for small bites: roasted Florina peppers, calamari, beef kabob, and creme brulee. The peppers were soft and soggy. It did not please us much but the flies liked it. The calamari and beef kabob were standard. They were generous portions and filling. My friend had the creme brulee and said it was too sweet. I think he even scooped off the top layer of caramel before he devoured the rest of the dessert. Note: The gyros seem to be presented in a deconstructed manner. Seems quite interesting to lure a return. P.S. Parking was free!

Great food. Dined outdoors. Got the pork plate and the lamb shoulder. Both cuts of meat were super flavorful and juicy. Great portions as well. Also got the Greek fries and those were excellent. Will come again.

Two stars because the server and bus person were very attentive and pleasant. Friday night and the place wasn't very busy. We went there to meet friends for dinner, their choice, we met. The drinks were good which solidify the two stars. The server offered that the chicken kabobs were very good. I ordered the Taramosalata, but they were out. I often eat some of the meat before picking up a gyro, more manageable. I did that, the meat was dry and tough. If I had recommended the place I would have spoke up but our friends did... Then I started looking for the onion and tomato...They were kind and put a little bit of each in the Tzatziki sauce. The meat was dry. The fries were crispy and good. My wife's burger came and it looked great, until she took the bun top off. There was no sear to the meat, she didn't say anything until we left but then she said that if we had suggested the place she would have spoken up. She took most of the burger home, the dogs loved it. Her garlic mashed were very good, I sampled them as she sampled my fries. We had a nice visit with our friends, the food was not up to par and I doubt we'll ever go there again. You know, just a block away is Greek Islands... They always seem to be spot on. Oh, my friend liked his salad but his son thought the meat in his gyro was dry...

Take it from a Greek, this is the best Greek food in Greektown! The skewers are just like they are in Greece. The tzatziki is perfect! The staff couldn't be nicer!
