The food here is SO GOOD, can't recommend enough. Their mojito was the best I had as well and the service was great, the owner himself recommended their best dishes, his passion was obvious and it shows in the delicious food! Made with love for sure

Ordered through doordash. Received moldy food that was thrown into to-go boxes . Was disgusted could not even touch other food we order. So upset. Went here a couple years ago and loved the food.

What was once and insurance agency is now a delicious authentic Cuban restaurant. I loved the lively music, bartender and of course the food! The Congri was so good, tamale was fabulous and the fried yucca with garlic Mayo was packed with flavor.

Sent a door dash order. She went to retrieve our order and they had stopped cooking. Should post real hours so time and money will not be wasted. First time ordering and will be the last time!

This place is a GEM! It is real, authentic Cuban food, and it was delicious! We tried the fried plantains, tamale, croquets, ropas vieja (slow-cooked beef), and mixed platter (chicken and steak). It was all great, but the plantains and chicken were our favorites! The atmosphere and service are also great! Felt like we were in the middle of Miami. Definitely try it out. I can’t wait to come back and try a mojito!

The good was good BUT BUT BUT…. . The service was awful, asking anything to the server seem to be confusing, in English out Spanish. I tried ordering an alcoholic drink but the bartender was not there and nobody knew how to mix. Ordered flan.. they were out. Ordered a cortadito….. apparently nobody in the restaurant knew how to work the machine. You are a Cuban restaurant, how do you not have Cuban coffee??????? . It’s a tough time after pandemic so I don’t want to say I don’t recommend this place but dine at your own risk.

Delicious food and great service, happy to find this hidden gem in bowling green!

Google
I’ll let the empty plate do all the talking, anytime i’m out of town i love to search for local hidden gems, and this is one of them. This is as authentic cuban as it gets. Service was like Familia, Palomilla, arroz blanco, frijoles negros, yuca frita and not one, but two mojitos, they were amazing. Bowling Green is about 1:20 from home. Will be bringing my family soon.

Yelp
If you turn onto St.Charles St., just keep driving. Ignore the industrial buildings until you arrive at this small, innocuous-looking building that is this Cuban restaurant & bar. If I were to remove a star, it would be because of the exterior. But I'm not going to remove a star. Once again, I come to an ethnic restaurant that looks questionable on the outside. But as we all know, those are the restaurants that have the BEST food. So I entered the restaurant, bravely and was greeted immediately by a very friendly server, who offered me to sit in either the dining or the bar area. I chose the dining area because it had more light. The bar area was way too dark for my preference, but she explained that the state law required them to keep it dark (because it's a bar area). The bar area has seating along the bar itself, and at a few tables in the area. Plus, (and it's a big plus for me) there is a pool table and and music plays all the time. :-) So I tried the drink soursop (guanabana) which is a tropical fruit that tastes like a combination of strawberries and apples. I really enjoyed it! Try it on ice because it tastes better when it is cold, per the recommendation of my wonderful server. As an appetizer, she brought to me fried onion rings with an amazing creamy garlic sauce for dipping. I am ashamed to say that I inhaled those onion rings! I dipped each one dipped in the flavorful garlic sauce. For dinner I ordered the eight. The pork team sliced with caramelized onions on top it I could not believe how tender and flavorful the pork was. Just amazing scrumptious! It melted my mouth. Eating it along with the congri was just a delightful experience. The dish came with a side salad (chopped red cabbage over sliced tomatoes) that was nothing special , but it looked very pretty. Foolishly, I ordered a side on yucca. It comes with warm queso on the side. I tried the yucca dipped in the queso AND dipped in the creamy garlic sauce (that came with the appetizer onion rings). While I liked both flavors, I preferred the garlic sauce with the yucca (I'm just a sucker for garlic). As I said earlier, the flavors of the pork, caramelized onions and congri were the stars of this dish. The tasty food, efficient service and the friendly owner (who visited my table and talked to me while I waited for my food), almost makes me wish I lived here so that I could partake at my convenience. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. If you are ever close to here, you should try it also.

Yelp
We went in between lunch and dinner on a Saturday. The menu was easy to understand, and the waitress was super informative as we had never had Cuban food before. Service was good. Food took a little time to come out but I expect that in-between busy times. We were the only ones eating for most of the time we were there. The appetizers were really good, we had croquettes and empanadas that were great. The meals were really good, the only problem we had was my wifes Ropa Vieja was dry. The owner stopped by asked how everything was and gave us a discount because I was wearing a USAF Veteran hat. I didn't ask for it or expect it but really appreciated that extra touch. We will be back

Yelp
What a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in I was made to feel very welcomed! Manuel and his staff were so accommodating. I had the Ropa Vieja with Congri Rice and it was terrific! If you are looking for a new place to try you should definitely hit this place up! I don't think you will be disappointed.

Yelp
Are there for the first time last week. The place is extremely clean and inviting when you walk in. We were greeted by a lady that explained the menu in great detail and made recommendations were asked. Food came out very quickly and was prepared perfectly, highly recommend trying it if you like Cuban food. It is not a sandwich shop, everything is pretty much full meal based.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful Cuban food! The best or better that I had in Havana! Waiter and owners were very friendly and proud of their food. We were greeted by local patrons and made to feel very welcome. The experience was like being invited into someone's home for dinner.

Teagan M.

Yelp
The food was terrible. Dry and chewy. I couldn't stand to finish it. Definitely will not be coming back again. Cubans would be disappointed.

Jenny M.

Yelp
The restaurant was amazing , I love the new style of the restaurant , the staff very friendly the service was the best and the Mojitos "There's no other place that does it better than this one." The food was delicious, Of course we'll come back.

Yelp
Great food and service. Loved the margaritas on the rocks and frozen. Good sized portions at a good price. We will return.

Yelp
Very friendly but limited menu and lacked a lunch type offering. Was out of two items I tried to order, tamales and flan. Check the online menu before going to ensure you want to visit. I got the chicken salad and it was ok.

Yelp
Fantastic food! Authentic Cuban experience; fried plantains, congri, pork, and the best yucca we've ever had. Highly, highly reccomend and don't forget the mojitos

Yelp
We wanted to try something different and found this place and man o man! We went during lunch time. Excellent food and the service was awesome. Great atmosphere! Will go back and take friends!

Yelp
The service was super friendly and welcoming. On the outside it looks a little odd, but inside is completely different and comforting. My sister and I were able to play pool and kill time while we waited for our food since they had a bar area in the back. Highly recommend the wings! Favorite thing we had!
