16 Options for an Amazing Portland Dining Month - Eater Portland

"Grand Army Tavern’s location, deep up in the reaches of Woodlawn, means its whole-animal butchery and stylish industrial aesthetic can get overlooked. March provides a nice opportunity to check out the menu, including its pork--one option offered is smoked pork chop with roasted vegetables, though vegetarian items are available as well." - Alex Frane

Yelp
I ordered the tagliatelle alle vongole with a bit of hesitation, my last experience with this dish was in Venice, Italy and oddly enough, it was awful. I even joked with the server that I hoped Campana could bring my trust back into this dish and they completely blew me away. The pasta was tender, the white clam sauce rich but balanced, and that sofrito bianco with gremolata was perfection. Easily the best tagliatelle alle vongole I've ever had. On top of that, our server was incredibly nice and charming, which made the whole experience even better. Warm service, beautiful atmosphere, and unforgettable food Campana you nailed it. Molto buono, tornero per mangiarne ancora.

Yelp
We found this restaurant on Yelp and thought we'd try it out as we're passing through Portland. Amazing! Ian, our waiter was incredible. He was really friendly and knowledgeable anout the food and wines. We had a 4 cheese ravioli special, and roasted chicken, preceded by the caesar and spring salads, followed by desserts of sorbet with prosecco and vanilla gelato. We had a beautiful Riparosso red wine, followed by Amaro, and a wonderful scotch. Incredible inside and outdoor dining.

Yelp
Drinks and service was really good! Love the refreshing Italian inspired cocktails. My cavatelli pasta had a good mix of flavors. However my partners tagliatelle was very disappointing, he did have to make dairy free substitutions which may have impacted the flavor heavily. Overall tastes like homemade pasta you can make at home but with a bougie spunky vibe

Yelp
This is a nice little place for a tasty bite. The menu wasn't huge, but there were several different options, including vegetarian ones to choose from. We ordered only a few items, including a glass of the house wine for that evening, which was delicious! We started with the meatballs that came with a hunk of garlic bread (that was my favorite part of the dish). The red sauce had good flavor, with the right amount of spice/herbs. However, the meatballs fell incredibly short. You could tell they were frozen at one point, but they were barely warm. One was even cold in the middle. The one I did have had reasonable flavor and overall the dish was good, minus the temp. The cavatelli dish was nice with the whipped ricotta. The ragu sauce was similar to that served with the meatballs and meshed well with the pork. Based on the few dishes we ordered, this place offers simple, yet appetizing dishes.

Yelp
Campana kept popping up on lists of the best places to eat dinner in Portland, so we decided to give it a try. Though there were no reservations available online, I called, and the host was kind enough to accommodate us. The restaurant is spread across several levels and rooms, which makes for a somewhat unusual layout. We were seated next to a ramp on our level, and while the host was gracious, the service could use a little improvement. The staff repeatedly served us over the railing from the ramp instead of walking around to our table, which felt a bit lazy. That said, the bread was the highlight of the meal--absolutely to die for, and I don't usually rave about bread! We ordered the meatballs, and the bread that came with it was phenomenal. We also ordered from the happy hour menu (available until 6 p.m.), and when the bill came, we were pleasantly surprised at how affordable everything was. We tried the Amatriciana, Risotto, Penne Alla Vodka, and a glass of white wine. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, and while I enjoyed the pasta, it wasn't something I'd rush back for. Still, the overall experience was good, and for the price, it's definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
This is a cute little Italian restaurant perfect for date night. The restaurant is small so it would be difficult to accommodate bigger parties. It gets busy so make reservations! The food is always delicious, staff are very professional and pleasant, there is indoor and outdoor seating, and the restaurant itself is beautiful inside. They also have a great happy hour menu. The regular menu is on the pricier side, so just be prepared beforehand. Everything we ordered was delicious, and everyone's favorites were the Cesar salad, lasagna, and cannoli. I didn't even know cannoli could taste as good as there's does! Pro tip: come early on a Wednesday if you like lasagna. It's the Wednesday special and it sells out fast!

Yelp
My server was very nice for switching my cocktail because I did not like the Negroni at all and she was very kind to replace my cocktail immediately. Food was amazing. I love the vibe and it's a very relaxing environment. Perfect place for a date

Yelp
The Woodlawn neighborhood is an afternoon date neighborhood. Campana is a part of that reason. Service is most excellent! Smiley, poised & good vibes from all the staff. Our waitress knew the menu to detail and was so kind to go through popular entrees and personal recommendations. Drinks were tasty! Interesting indoor setting ~ a little chic yet chillaxed feel. Come here with the loved one. Everything was delicious. You will be full of good food & experience.

Yelp
Had my birthday dinner here because I was craving Italian cuisine. Here's the dealio: the host was very welcoming and very kind, and so was our waitress Bonnie. She was helpful with the drink suggestions, and remembered my partner stating "you pick since it's your birthday", and gave a complimentary dessert so thank you Bonnie! The food was delicious, and the appetizer special of the day was bomb! I really loved it. The only thing though is with the Raviolini al Peperoncino... I feel like the portion given for $28 was not worth it even though it was very yummy. I'm actually very surprised how much the whole dinner cost considering I've lived in the Bay Area before where everything is VERY expensive. And something I've never seen before... a "Team Health Care (3.00%)" charge?! I've heard of restaurants do that before but actually really seeing it applied is so shocking. Crowd sourcing your employees healthcare instead of just paying it for them is crazy, especially considering how expensive the meals are; y'all can't even pay your employees healthcare?! Smh.

Yelp
I arrived a bit early to meet my family. I was warmly invited to our reserved table and offered the menu. Remembering how I loved Aperol Spritz cocktails while in Italy. I ordered one as I waited. It did not disappoint! Once our group was ready we each we each chose different entrees. I ordered the Tagliatelle with clam sauce. It was a large serving, very freshly made plentiful either steamer clams. It was a big enough portion to have a second serving the next day- a bonus! We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely return!

Yelp
Campana had been on my list of places to try for a long time and I'm so glad I finally made it. Each dish was delicious, the cavatelli and spare ribs were stars, and our drinks were all tasty as well. It was a cute spot with friendly service, and made for a great date night.
google avatar

Yelp
Had an excellent evening at Campana. Great friendly service, delicious food and drinks, classy but not pretentious atmosphere. Was going to take pics of all the dishes but was too interested in eating them and forgot. If you like well prepared, delicious food you won't be disappointed here. I even got to see and visit with an old friend which made the visit extra special. I will definitely return next time I make it back to Portland.

Yelp
This is a cute little place in portland! The inside is decorated nicely, has a few tables, and has garage like windows. The service was fast and our waiter was very nice. When they gave us the wrong pasta order, he brought us the right pasta and let us take the other order home. I would definitely come for happy hour since prices are a little expensive. We got the garlic bread, green salad, and arribiatta to start. - The garlic bread is expensive considering its only one slice of bread and I wish there was more garlic. - they gave us the Amatriciana at first and that was alright, the Arribiatta was much better! - the green salad was simple but good and it was a large poriton! For entrees we got the roasted chicken, short rib, and Pork Ragu. All three dishes were good! - the chicken was well cooked and the flavor was great! However, I'm personally not a fan of bone in chicken and this was a whole half of chicken, so there were a lot of bones. - the pork ragu flavor was good, but we were not fans of the pasta. It looked like like smaller gnocchi, but the texture was a lot more gummy. - the short rib was also very good! Our dish did come with polenta sticks and we didn't like those as much. Overall, this restaurant is great and I'd come back for happy hour!

Yelp
The service was great. Cute interior. A smaller, intimate restaurant. I enjoyed the food but the cavatelli was a little firm. The sauce and ricotta were great. House red wine was lovely with the meal.

Yelp
Excellent real Italian cuisine...very comfortable setting with thoughtful flavors that you taste in Italy. An easy comfortable evening on a beautiful night...dining outside with the sun going down.

Yelp
Solid italian place. Smaller menu, which may or may not be issue depending on your preference. It was very easy to obtain reservations, and the folks working there are friendly and attentive. It's not my go-to Italian place, actually, I don't think I have found one here in Portland yet. :) This place is on the more spendier side. Worth a shot, I think.

Yelp
Valentine's Day is coming up and I gotta say--this spot just screams romantic date night! The lighting and decor of this place are gorgeous. While it's dimly lit, it feels like you could dress up or dress casual and it wouldn't be awkward either way, which I really appreciate! Italian food is my favorite, and this spot did a good job. The ingredients were high quality, and the menu was on-point for what I'd expect at a nice Italian restaurant. Disclaimer: I am Italian, and from the east coast, so my standards might be a little picky and I couldn't give the place a full 5 stars, but nevertheless, the spot is worth checking out. If you're ordering drinks, get The Tall, Pink and Handsome. So good!!

Yelp
Been in a couple times, and both have been pretty disappointing. The food here isn't terrible but from the price and ambience of the place I expected more. The food was so unmemorable the first time that out of 2 entrees and an app, I only remember the Chicken Liver Pate app. It's fine if you like pate I guess, had a nice little balsamic glaze but we ran out of crackers to dip it before we finished half, so not wanting to eat plain liver mush I took the rest home for my cat to eat lol. He enjoyed it much more than I. I tried the cavatelli on my next visit and was even more disappointed. They make their noodles in house and served al dente, but they tasted doughy and less than Al dente to me. The Pork Ragu was pretty basic - the entire dish just tasted like meaty and cheesy with no discernible flavor at all. For $27 I feel like they should do better.

Yelp
This was hands down worth the walk and then some.. we stayed in Woodlawn, which is the cutest city in Portland.. this Italian restaurant was in the smallest corner of a little town tucked away but it is definitely a hidden gem! The service was immaculate and friendly! Food was AMAZING! So much care and love in the ingredients and the pasta was amazing!

Yelp
Love this place and their patio in the summer. Pasta, meatballs, and Ceasar salad. Pretty great happy hour as well.

Yelp
The food was delicious, the staff was great, the place was nice, but the price just didn't add up. Our bill with tip for 4 people was $260 - that is the price I expect at Salty's. I had a vegetarian pasta dish - just penne with a spicy marinara. That was $23 or $26. No bread, no salad. The half chicken is just that - delicious half chicken with a couple mushrooms, no vegetables for a side. Had the chicken come with a side of literally ANYTHING of substance (even steamed broccoli) it could be considered a meal, but alas it did not. Mind you, it was very good food but it was not an almost $300 meal. This group eats out every month from fancy pants to low brow diner, so we know what to expect for our money. This experience just didn't come close to validating the cost. The place was clean, the staff was super friendly, and the food was yummy. WAY too pricey for what you get.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Amazing food and service! Have gone twice on cozy rainy nights. Food is authentic Italian...

Yelp
Wow! This place was AMAZING! We had a reservation, but there was ample seating and the ambiance was perfect! Such great spot for dining! From the get go service was great! I absolutley loved the menu for both the drinks and the food! It was happy hour when we went, so we just ran through all the of drink specials that we could lol. I started off with the Negroni Sbagliato, and that was divine. For starters we had a Cesar salad, garlic bread and steamed Manila clams. OMG THE CLAMS!!! They were hands down one of my fave dishes of the night. Super light, packed with flavor, I should have ordered two. As far as dinner, I opted for the Roasted Duck Pappardelle and my husband had the Tagliatelle with Crab and they were both probably some of the best pasta we have had since moving here to Portland. I would have taken more photos but we were too busy just enjoying the moment and all the delicious food. Definitely a place I recommend to anyone and I cannot wait to come back again!

Yelp
If I could give 4.75 stars, I would. The food again was flawlessly prepared and presented. We started out with splitting the happy hour Caesar which our server was gracious enough to say would be plenty to split. She also recommended the garlic bread which we ordered after finishing the salad and calamari (delicately breaded, TENDER!). One large thick slice, dense and herby. She did not steer us wrong. Richly sauced pork ragu cavatelli for me and the duck with Italian green beans for my husband. Finished off the meal with orange sorbet for him. I polished off the entire generous portion of buttermilk panna cotta, a thick layer of marianberry compote blanketing the top. Rich and comforting, not too sweet. I took .25 stars off because while we loved our server, it was about 20 - 25 minutes after finishing off our entrees before she approached about dessert. She also never offered to refill my iced tea or give us fresh water. It certainly was not enough to dampen our positive feelings about our meal or her. However, I do feel it was not 5-star last night.

Yelp
Run don't walk if you like good Italian food , actually if you are like me and just like food in general , this restaurant really hits the spot . We came in after not finding reservations at a couple other places and I can say with confidence that all of us were glad by the end of the evening that we could not get in at the other places. The décor is industrial yet has a vibe of coziness and the wallpaper really accentuates the intimate yet grand vibe. We started off our evening with cocktails which included Classic Italian fizzy Negroni ,Aperol Spritzes among others. I feel we almost tried most things on the cocktail menu amongst 4 of us and the general consensus was that everything was fab. My personal favorite was scena Uno -very light and refreshing and slightly on the sour side. The wine menu also looked pretty extensive .For dinner we had - PANELLE DI CECI - Texture and taste wise this dish wins but the portion size is too small , so probably order more than one plate if you are more than two people . RICOTTA SFORMATO - This probably was my least favorite thing and was also hard to share . TAGLIATELLE VERDI AI FUNGHI - This was our server`s recommendation and I must say he ten on ten nailed the description. Very light and flavorful and the roasted mushrooms and tomatoes really accentuated the whole dish . GRILLED MARY'S HALF CHICKEN- Grilled asparagus and Chicken with Marsala. The chicken was crispy yet soft at the same time. SPAGHETTI - Classic Meatball and spaghetti dish , cant go wrong with that ever. OLIVE OIL CAKE- Again a recommendation by our lovely server and was liked by all. CANNOLI - So this has to be one of the best Cannoli`s I have had in Portland. They pipe them right before they serve you and you can actually taste the freshness . The filling is rich, creamy, and smooth and in Clemenza`s wife`s words -'Don't forget the Cannoli' . 100% recommended ! The food they server has a very seasonal approach here ,highlighting lighter pastas, salads and veggies in Summer. Being the Instagram generation we are -Me and my friend asked for a couple different things from their Insta page and our server was very straightforward when they said that even if the picture is three days old they wont have it on the menu as the chef changes the menu pretty often. Service was fantastic and we felt we were in great hands when it came to suggestions and recommendations . Our server was also very knowledgeable about the menu and fun to talk to .

Yelp
We had an amazing dinner experience at Campana. The hospitality was spot on with attentiveness and knowledge of food & wines. We started with some nice appetizers and caesar salad before having tagliatelle, ravioli, chicken, and pappardelle. There were six of us. Tiramisu and affagoto were perfect finish. Definitely on our next trip to Portland. Reservations required especially on weekends.

Kim A.

Yelp
Campana is my favorite Italian restaurant, and I live 16 miles away. Where else can you find a happy hour menu with five spectacular pasta entrees at $11 each? Where else do you find such a helpful, gracious, unpretentious wait staff? Excellent seasonal cocktails, delectable salads and authentic desserts? The Woodlawn location's village vibe enhances the charm of the patio experience but the interior is cozy fine. Tip: download the InKind app for a $50 discount on your bill over $150.

Yelp
Great Italian restaurant the pasta is fresh made. I had the chicken scarpariello it's one of my favorite meals and they knocked it out of the park. We drove there from Tualatin and we will be going back

Yelp
Food was delicious. My gf and I would impressed with the food and service. 10/10 would come again.

Yelp
Great food and even better service. Everyone that worked there genuinely wanted us to enjoy our experience. I got a mint pesto pasta dish that has ricotta incorporated in the pasta itself. Definitely something I've never seen before but it was amazing. The tomato appetizer special was great as well but the house made gelato and sorbet was out of this world. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Portland.

Yelp
I have a couple favorite restaurants. Unfortunately - one is in Lima, Peru and the other is in Rome, Italy. I love these places. They're the perfect mix of classy tratorrias and comfortable neighborhood hangouts. Eating at either location - which I've done many times - is more than just gnoshing food . . . it is an experience more akin to nourishing my soul. I've been looking for a Portland place that ticked all those same boxes. Well . . . I think I've found just that place in Campana. There's a real intimacy about the restaurant space - for both indoor and patio (sidewalk) dining. The decour is inviting and asthetically complete. The food is approachable, but not too distracted with getting every-little-detail on the dish perfect - which is the best kind of food. They have a wine menu that feels like a wine-menu - rather than an after-thought to the kitchen. And, becuase we live in Portlandia - the bar churns out some real stars of the evening. Add to the mix nice people - the servers are incredibly knowledgable and really friendly - and Campana is a place that just gets it. Oh my goodness, I think I've found a Portland-favorite place. Yes!!! There is so much to like about Campana.

Yelp
Great experience from start to finish. Welcomed by friendly staff, drinks and starters came quickly. Main course was delicious and presented very well. Desserts were great too. Our waitress was attentive and fun.

Yelp
Love everything about Campana! The absolutely delicious food; the warm and welcoming owner, George, and the staff; the affordable food offerings; and the safe and comfortable outdoor seating. Everything contributed to a fabulous night and I can not wait to go back again and again. We showed up for our reservation 30 minutes early, not really understanding where this restaurant was located. George greeted us warmly, the smile evident even under the mask! He accommodated us without hesitation and seated us outside on the patio. There were several tables on the street also, and party lights on the awning that turned on at dark, making the area feel intentional and not isolated. Tim was our waiter and he was super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodated our request to pace our meal. Never once did we feel rushed, which we really appreciated. We started with cocktails, of course, which hit the spots, then shared a Cesar salad that had the most delicious lemony dressing. Wish we could have the recipe! Along with their garlic bread that is topped with crispy cheese. For the main, I had to go with cavatelli, a pasta not often offered in Portland but a staple in NJ and NY where I'm from. The pork ragu was flavorful and the Dollop of whipped ricotta the cherry on top! Perfecto! My friend ordered the penne with a vodka sauce and it was divine. Both of us ate every last morsel! And accompanied our meals with a wonderful bottle of juicy red wine. Even though we were satiated, we had to get the cannoli for desert. I'm a Jersey Girl of Italian descent so could not pass it up. The cannoli was totally legit. They pipe in the ricotta filling right before they serve them which keeps the shell crisp, which is the only way to eat cannoli. It did not disappoint! Reminded me of my favorite line from The Godfather, "Take the gun, leave the cannoli." Because if my background and knowledge and fan of east coast Italian, I had to ask a George where he grew up and learned to cook. New Jersey! Knew it! After years of cooking in top restaurants in NJ and NYC, he and his wife moved to Portland and first opened Grand Army Tavern in this same location. Added Campana as a Pop-up which has since taken off and replaced Grand Army as of June 2020. George and his wife are already researching and implementing safety procedures such as A hospital type ventilation system and screens to separate tables That are spaced far apart so that customers can continue to enjoy Campana's fabulous food indoors once the weather gets cold. Please give this restaurant a try! You will not be disappointed. Easy to get to, right off NE MLK in the Woodlawn neighborhood, it was a quick ride from downtown Portland and so worth it. They do take out and dine in on their outdoor space, soon to have indoor seating. Already planning my next visit!!!

Marsha S.

Yelp
What a great happy hour! I had a wonderful verdiccio white wine for $10, the best garlic bread I've ever had for $6 and the bartender realized I wasn't eating much so offered me a half order of the cannoli for only $5! The pastas on the happy hour menu all were served with tomato sauce so I opted for the tagliatelle on the dinner menu which was delicious! Great service too, definitely a place to check out!

Yelp
Best Italian take out I have had since COVID. Could potentially be 5 stars, so I'll have to go back and confirm. Placed an order online through Toast for take-out. Easily found parking upfront to pick up my order. What did I try? Penne Rigate-vodka sauce, tomato, basil & cream. Very Good. Spaghetti-meatballs marinara & grams padano. They don't skimp on the meatballs. Very good. Cavatelli-pork ragu & whipped ricotta. I loved this combo; savory pork ragu combined with the creamy whipped ricotta. Burrata for 2 + fett'unta-burrata was soft and "buttery" and the tomatoes were fresh. Delicious. This was practically a meal in itself. Definitely pair this one with some wine. Glad I had a bottle of Chianti handy. Caesar-romaine, croutons, grana padano & anchovy-perfect and I prefer with anchovy Garlic Bread The family raved for this take-out choice and we will definitely return.

Claire B.

Yelp
Goooood lord that tiramisu was to die for! Such amazing service as well. If you're a fan of Italian food head here!

Greg E.

Yelp
It was all about the roasted chicken for me. I was tempted to have a house made pasta but I'm glad I went with the chicken. So much flavor in every bite. The entire half chicken was perfectly tender and juicy, including the breast. I want to know what they brined the chicken in. Served with sweet hot peppers, Italian sausage, onions and potatoes in a light but equally flavorful broth. The sausage and peppers were explosions of different tastes after the mild chicken. I tried the pastas and they were delicious too. Service was perfect. Can't think of a negative thing to say. My new favorite Italian place.

Yelp
Needed to find a restaurant close enough to the University of Portland and this came up on Yelp. Called and they held a table for my group. Great staff, especially our waitress Madeline, ask for her! Aloha and thanks again Madeline, we all had a great evening. The food here was probably the best food he had all week in Portland. Just many delicious Italian entrees and the presentation was spot on. First the spaghetti meatballs was to die for. Also the lamb pasta was tender and tasty. I had the pork chop and Wow cooked tender and perfect. We all ended with dessert. From the moment we were greeted to the good nights, couldn't have asked for a better evening to spend with my college students. Everyone licked the plates clean! Haha. I will always return here to dine when I'm back in Portland. Now I may have to go twice so I can try the others entrees on the menu! Mahalos!

Yelp
Well loved Italian spot but only okay to my liking. They have a good happy hour menu but other than that, priced high and food is just mediocre

Yelp
Just WOW!! Awesome place. Amazing food. Great service. Lovely vibe. First visit of what I plan to make many!

Yelp
We came upon this restaurant by accident one evening. I really like the atmosphere, food, and experience. It was special for my teenage daughter. We don't eat out a lot so when we do I want it to be memorable and for her to try something new. We all really enjoyed our meal and the basil lemonade was a bonus for my daughter. It was worth the price.
google avatar

Yum E.

Yelp
Three stars for the excellent service, comfy space and amazing patè. The rest was just underwhelming. My pasta was a tad undercooked (beyond al dente) and unbalanced as to sauce-to-pasta ratio (too much pasta). I basically had a bowl of chewy pasta with the lightest hint of ragu. I wouldn't even know if the sauce were great because there wasn't enough to taste.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
I've already left a 5 star review for Campana , but I feel inspired to write another because this restaurant has really come into its own this past year. It was already good, but it got better. The service is impeccable- warm and friendly without being intrusive. The food is so so good. Lick the plate good. They are also requiring proof of vaccination to eat indoors, which makes me feel safe and makes me feel better that their incredible staff is safe. My only complaint is that they no longer have brunch like they did in the Grand Army days. That was the best brunch ever.
google avatar

Danielle H.

Yelp
Outstanding quality of food and service!! I have never noticed the olive oil at a place until I had some Campana pasta. They also make a delicious Okd Fashioned The best part is the staff! Owner George and manager Tim go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. AND THE TIRAMISU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Fabulous new Italian restaurant on NE Dekum Street in Portland, Oregon! Authentic Italian cuisine with a Northern flair.

Yelp
Quite possibly the worst restaurant experience I've had. As our waitress was bringing our drinks, she spilled the beer we ordered all over me and my father. No fault of hers and I understand things happen but the response was odd? Just a quick sorry and whoops. Wasn't expecting the dinner to be covered but at least a free desert or something! We asked to be moved inside and was brought two appetizers we didn't order. Pointed this out to the new waitress and she said it must of been on the house. Then the guy who brought them over says oops these weren't meant for you and tries to remove them from the table before the waitress says he can't do that. All in all we stayed and finished our meal. Unfortunately the food was disappointing for the price point and felt like the final nail in the coffin for me. I ordered the short rib pasta and literally had the smallest amount of meat mixed in with the pasta. So I got beer split on me, only got free appetizers by accident, and disappointing food.

Yelp
We were visiting the area, and decided to try this new restaurant that was recommended. Light, bright and airy and fun decor. Really interesting menu with unusual twists. I ordered cavapelli with a pork ragu . Absolutely delicious and wonderful flavours . Wine list is very good but prices are a little high . Our server Gabrielle , was excellent . Extremely polished and professional .

Yelp
I have been to Campana multiple times now and I've had great experiences on all occasions. Most recently when going with friends from out of town they were blown away by the dishes and freshness and flavor. The drinks and wine were excellent and the service was superb! Try Campana - it's worth it!

Yelp
The best puttanesca I have had ever! And I've been to hundreds of Italian restaurants around the world - my husband is a fat Italian living in a skinny one. The noodles were fresh, perfectly cooked al-dente, and presented expertly. The sauce had the right amounts of capers, spice, anchovies, and long-time simmered romas. I've been thinking about this meal for the last three days! The service was excellent and the host was so welcoming. The servers we pros and enjoying their craft -(unlike so many places we've been too lately - see my review on Xico) and truly valued by patrons. Left them a sizable tip to demonstrate our appreciation. THANK YOU CAMPANA!!
