Food was delicious!! It was freshly fried, crispy and juicy. I got sweet onion and hot red pepper. The place was very neat in appearance. Great to dine in and also to go! The server was kind and amazing to us. I would come back for sure next time :)) One of best Korean chicken experience.

Stopped here for a late dinner after a nice swim workout and was met with a lot of delicious chicken protein, fried to perfection, and coated with a flavorful sauce. From the starter of tempura shrimp to a gyoza (which they threw in for free!), everything was extremely tasty. Service was fast and friendly and we received our food within 15 minutes of ordering.

I had a craving for Korean Fried chicken and stopped by for dinner. I’ve been here maybe twice after they rebranded from Choongman. It is good to know they have a couple of take out specials and even AYCE wings. We came during Sunday during dinner. There was a couple tables. Shout out to the one guy working the front, carry out and serving. Service was on point, they even gave a free appetizer of the fried dumplings. My wife and I got mozzarella sticks, curly fries, a whole fried chicken (snow onion on the side), and a pitcher of Sapporo. Everything hits the spot. The mozzarella sticks had the cheese pull that you crave. The chicken was perfectly fried and that snow onion sauce is like crack. This spot hits all the cravings. If I had to nitpick, they could clean up a bit more. The menu was sticky with dried sauce and the table was a little sticky. But seeing how it is one person manning the place I could forgive it. Either way, the food was delicious and the service was spot on. I definitely recommend this spot.

Came around lunch time and place wasn't very busy. Ordered the lunch special tenders and fries. Food was relatively quick. Flavor on the garlic soy tenders was great. The fries were ok. Overall the place is good.

CM Chicken is a wonderful korean-style fried chicken restaurant. I personally think it is way better than BonChon. The workers are exceptional and super friendly. Their lunch special (11am-2pm) comes with tenders or wings, coleslaw, a drink, and a side of rice or fries for $8.00. A great value comparing the cost and quality. Their garlic soy chicken is so delicious and crispy! I would definitely recommend CM Chicken to family and friends!

First visit: came with a group of 4. The chicken with the "snow" was great! We had the curry and original versions. Service was good and everyone enjoyed the food. Second visit: I took my wife here to try the chicken with the "snow" and we also tried the shrimp with the spicy garlic sauce. The spicy level is great at first but beware that it does add up. I kept eating though, just with a little sweat. They also accommodated our request to change one of the TV channels since no one else was watching what was on so that was awesome. This second time though, the food did not sit well with my wife and had a small effect to me, however, my wife said she may not want to go back. I would go back and see if it was a one-time thing. Overall, it's worth trying the chicken with the snow and the staff is great.

One employee was working the phones, to-go orders, AND was serving the entire restaurant, which was full. She shouldn’t have been doing everything alone but she did a great job considering how hard it would be to be everywhere at once. She saw me dying from the heat and brought me water. Turning to the chicken, we tried the traditional spicy and then the tikkudak (fried then baked on charcoal) and they were both great. I gained a pound over the course of this meal but it was so worth. The spice is HOT and the charcoal chicken stays temperature hot FOREVER. Anyway. This is my favorite KFC in the area.

Delicious! Girl child says the green onion lemon chicken wings are 5 star!!! Soy garlic wings (picture before the kids devoured it) are also delicious.

This is our go-to for Korean fried chicken. We enjoy several of the garlic flavors, the honey, soy & spicy are yummy. I am also a fan of the bbq which has a nice spicy kick. We usually order & take it out but the inside is nice too.

Theres not much to say especially if the Annandale location is moving. Felt this location had the best service, food, and mannerism. The one on King Street- people are rude and the one in Fairfax, the food isnt that great. I hate when chains arent consistent esp with food. I am sad to see the Annandale spot to leave.

Recently learned that they closed permanently. Me and my son loved this place. It was a hidden gem.

Crispy and tasty! We may have found our new go-to spot for Korean fried chicken and tenders! The service was friendly and the food from ordered to pick up was less than 20 minutes. The tenders were juicy and hearty with the right amount of seasoning. The fried chicken was crispy and delicious. And if you buy 2 orders of wings, you get a 3rd...FREE! Prices are very reasonable and parking is a plenty as it shares a lot in a shopping center. We will definitely be back! Enjoy!

This place used to be a cozy Viet restaurant until fall 2018. Then Choong Man Chicken was a thing until around fall 2022 until boss-san switched to a similar national franchise called 92 Chicken. good for em. The frying process varies a little across brands, but the 92 menu includes familiar popular iterations like soy garlic, honey soy garlic, garlic spicy, mustard spring onion, cheese flavor, and other seasonal stuff. Some interesting sides: fried calamari, fish and chips, and dumplings. It's pretty good and the meat was pleasantly juicy. Our cashier was also wonderfully helpful and accommodating. We ordered 3 flavors (someone didn't hear "all wings please" and it's not the end of the world) and really ended up liking the Soy Garlic better than the Honey Soy and Mustard Onion. I had high hopes for the mustard spring onion flavor (the CM chicken in alexandria does a really tasty Wasabi Spring Onion chicken), but it ended up tasting exactly like plain OG with little seasoning and a handful of beautiful greens on top. Not sure what happened there, but nobody on staff tried it yet either. I liked how casual and clean the restaurant was, but maayybeee it could be less orange and black. Kind of looks like my uncle decorated it.

It's ok for K-chicken. Not the best, not the worst. Service was on point though. We've been on a tour of k-Chicken tasting in the areas. The chicken here was not the best quality and over fried. The sauce is good, but nothing to dance about. Onion rings were soggy. Calamari is gross. Don't even bother. Tastes like rubber bands and the breading is awful. Curly fries were good, but I'm sure it's generic ones they just fry up.

The soy garlic chicken from here was amazing! I had mine soon as it was done cooking and it was hot but so good good that I couldn't stop eating it. I also was given a green honey glazed fried chicken thigh and that was good as well too. Korean fried chicken can be a hit or miss sometimes but it was well made here and the staff was friendly also.

I didn't feel like cooking and was craving fried wings. Did a quick search of places I could get naked Korean style wings and 92 Chicken came up. It's a quick drive from my house and the reviews where good, above 4 Yelp rating. Ordered over the phone and was advised 20 minutes. When I arrived my food was just being bagged up. Perfect. Got home and unbagged our food. Everything hit the spot. I ordered original wings and onion rings and we were gifted with spicy thighs, which my SO loved. Chicken temperature was hot, with a little spice in the extra crunchy coating, the onion rings reminded me of funnel cake, yummy and my SO said the spicy thighs were juicy with a kick of spice at the end. Can't wait to try the gizzards.

Used to be a Choong man Annandale! Quality was surprisingly still really good. Would recommend the soy garlic and the snow onion chicken. Definitely get extra snow onion sauce.

Korean fried chicken is delicious. With its crispy crunchy outer skin, and juicy meat the secret is in their batter. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is small but cozy, tucked away in an Annandale strip mall. I had their original fried chicken, which you can get whole, wings or drumsticks. There are other flavors like different spice levels, and sauces to try. This place is definitely a wing-wing chicken dinner place!!!

With all the options of Korean fried chicken in the area, this is one of the top stops that i enjoy. Their prices are pretty good as well. Their lunch specials are amazing. I've had the garlic soy, curry, and spicy garlic chicken. Recently I've tried their fried chicken gizzards which were nice and crispy and tasty. This is definitely my go to Korean fried chicken spot.

New to Korean fried chicken? Eat Korean fried chicken every week? This is the all-inclusive fried chicken joint with something for everyone. It's got the classics, spicy gochujang based chicken and sweet soy chicken, but also got some innovations, like the snow chicken, which is fried chicken topped with a mayo-based creamy sauce with raw onions. Very rich with the spicy raw onions to provide a bit of freshness to cut the fat. I thought it was a Choongman chicken creation but 92 chicken has carried on the torch of snow chicken (who knows what restaurant beef lays behind the name change but menu consistency?). The one thing I don't love is apparently tips don't go to staff which is not good. Hard to complain about the food tho!

This location, 92 Chicken - Annandale, is closed as of 5/6/24. Unfortunately Yelp didn't have that in their system yet at the time I attempted to order there.

Pretty lack luster food and location is tucked away. I ordered a full chicken and wings just to find out that they had specials that were never discussed. Could have gotten more chicken for what I paid but oh well. No wonder why they are having a tremendous deals on their chicken. They need the foot traffic. Not sure about their service as I did pick up. They only had two patrons dining when I came in on a Saturday at 6pm.

Love the chicken here. So affordable and yummy. They have a lot of flavor choices like plain fried chicken, honey garlic, etc. You can also buy rice here.

Service is great, food is yummy, my toddler loved fish and chips plus delicious pickled radishes. Ambience is good too

92 Chicken replaced what used to be a Choong Man Chicken but the menu is pretty much the same. They still serve snow onion, soy garlic, red pepper, curry flavor, and tikkudak style (fried then baked) chicken wings, along with other yummy flavors. If you haven't tried this place's Korean fried chicken wings, I highly recommend the snow onion and soy garlic flavors! FYI - snow onion refers to plain fried chicken wings topped with raw onion slices and a "snow" white sauce. If you order to go, everything will be packed separately so it won't get soggy. It's their best flavor! This Annandale location also has a great deal that I haven't seen at other chain locations - buy one whole chicken, get another whole chicken FREE! That's two whole chickens for the price of about $25-30 to feed roughly 4 people. If you want to use their BOGO deal you'll need to call the restaurant directly and place the order. I don't think the deal shows up online. This location doesn't seem too crowded, it's never been too busy or full when I stopped by, even at peak meal times so the service and food quality has always been great.

I'm not sure if it's still choongman chicken but the menu was the exact same! Service was nice and quick and they even gave me free tenders! the Annandale location has a lot of promos going on so I def recommend. The garlic soy wings and the honey garlic tenders were absolutely delicious, will 100% be back :)

I had an incredible experience at 92 Chicken! Steven, our server, provided exceptional service with a friendly attitude. The Golden Cheese Chicken was a flavor explosion - crispy perfection with a delightful cheesy twist. The Fried Calamari was equally impressive, crispy yet tender. This place exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for more delicious Korean fried chicken delights!

Excellent! We ordered a whole red pepper chicken. I ate it over the course of three days, and was sad when it came to the end. It's only been a few days, but I'm back to craving it. A real treat!

92 chicken replaced CM chicken and most the menu is similar except they have a spring onion section and and cheese chicken. They had a promotion of buy one chicken and get 20 wings free. We ordered the curry chicken and some cheddar wings. The curry tasted the same and was delicious but the cheese wings were a little disappointing and not worth the extra money. I think for our next order we would just go back to the soy garlic (my personal fav) or try the spring onion chicken. Staff was friendly when we did pickup and took only 20 minutes. You get pickled radishes with the order but rice is extra.

Best Korean chicken in town. My family loves it! We literally order here at least once a week! It's that good!!! We loved it when it was CM CHICKEN n we love it now the same way!. Addicted!

I've been meaning to write a review! I've ordered takeout from this location dozens of times since it opened originally as Choongman. I have never been disappointed by the fried chicken or the service. I've had all the flavors (all great!) and red pepper is my go-to, the perfect amount of spiciness. Sometimes, I'll find a free order of chicken (I am thinking when they're trying out new flavors/recipes??) in my bag when I get home! Always a nice surprise! 10/10 highly recommended!

92 Chicken took over for Choong Man Chicken and Glad they are here! Service was speedy and friendly. The food is very good, even better than Bonchon. Manager Bao even included a complimentary chicken tender with our order. They have several promotions going on now to attract more customers. Will most definitely return!!!

Snow onion chicken is a favorite but all their chicken is great. Before Bon Chon burned down we switched from there to here because the chicken was better and more consistent. Fried sides and coleslaw aren't anything special and it looks like they switched from real onion onion rings to some frozen alternative under new management which is disappointing but you come here for the chicken and it always on point. Inside is clean and modern looking with solid seating but most business appears to be carryout. Staff is always friendly and courteous.

I came here with a friend and we got two Garlic Soy wings for takeout as well as curly fries. The wings were great! They forgot to give us the fries but we called afterward and the worker who took the call told us we could get our fries as well as another side for free as an apology. Because that worker didn't give us his name, or any assurance/proof to validate the situation, when we took the trip back a couple of days later we could only get the curly fries as he had no idea of what had happened. Overall good food but the lack of competent follow up by that first worker who took our call makes me hesitant to come back.

I always order the sweet onion chicken wings which was always tasty. My chicken tenders was dry and hard that's why I only give it 4 stars. We had the promotion "buy 2 wings get 1 tender" when we bought our food, so price was really good. Side notes: if you tip in credits, the servers will not get the tips, only cash.

It's Choong Man with a different name. The chicken taste the same. If you likes Choong Man, I'm guessing you'll like this place.
