Historic D.C. venue with great artist and great sound! Venue has a ton of rock acts, with a sprinkling of hip hop and pop artists. 9:30 Club is the perfect size venue. A full show fits about 1200 people. It's all general admission and you can either hang out on the main floor or up on the balcony. The size is big enough to attract moderately large bands and get a great crowd response, but also small enough to feel intimate. They've got a bar on each side and you can order food (decent) next to the bar. If you get to a show a little early, check out the record and memorabilia collection just down the hall from the entrance. Parking is super easy too. There's a paid lot about a 5 min walk over past the Howard University dorms, but I've almost always been able to park for free on the street between the tennis courts and apartments. Rock on! 🤘

Google
Solid venue with a great track record of hosting talented musicians across a wide range of genres. The sound quality is generally excellent, and the space has an intimate vibe that makes for a good live music experience. It can get a bit crowded depending on the act, but overall it's a well-run spot with a loyal fan base. Definitely worth checking out if a band you like is playing.

Last night's Wilder Woods (Bear from Needtobreathe's side project) show at the 9:30 Club was absolutely fantastic! The energy in the room was electric, especially with the St. Patrick's weekend buzz spilling into the streets. The walk from our paid parking garage (about a mile away) was a fun, vibrant stroll through the lively neighborhood, everyone decked out in green. The opener was excellent, setting the perfect tone for Wilder Woods. Bear's performance was top-notch, and even though I had to do a bit of strategic maneuvering to get a clear view (tall people, you know!), it was well worth it. The sound quality was superb, and the atmosphere was just right. While I didn't indulge in any drinks or food, I appreciated that they were readily available. The venue itself was impeccably clean, including the restrooms, and there was plenty of space to move around, which made for a comfortable experience. It wasn't overly crowded, which I always appreciate. This isn't my first time at the 9:30 Club, and it certainly won't be my last. They consistently deliver a top-tier concert experience, and last night was no exception. Highly recommend this venue and, of course, Wilder Woods! Five stars all the way!

Google
One of the best gig venues I've been to. Getting in was very easy, and the staff were courteous. Sound system is immense. Getting a drink from the bar was fast, and the prices were not too outrageous. They've also got a small kitchen serving Mexican food right next to one of the bars inside the main room, which was incredibly useful as I hadn't had a chance to get dinner before I went in. The quesadillas were awesome. They've also got a cool breakout space in the back filled with CD and LPs from artists who have played there, a nice touch. Toilets are a lot nicer than many I've been to, and in the corridor outside, they have a filtered water tab where you can refill your water bottle.

I brought my nine year old to this venue for an event. I was nervous that we wouldn’t be able to see, but there was so much balcony space that all was fine even during a sold out event. There are several bars making it easy to get drinks. I loved this venue. It was very intimate. We had a great time!

Google
As a venue to see a concert 9:30 was fantastic. We needed an ADA accommodation and they were very helpful. The view and sound from the balcony was fantastic. The food was also delicious. My only gripe is the drink prices were higher than I expected.

Google
I've been to quite a few concerts over the past year, but returning to the 9:30 Club reminded me just how incredible this venue really is. The sound quality is outstanding—crisp, powerful, and perfectly balanced. Whether you're on the floor or up on the balcony, every spot offers a great view, thanks to the intimate layout. There's truly not a bad seat in the house. We had an amazing time and can't wait to come back!

After all these years, finally got a chance to hit the 9:30 Club. Super cool venue with a storied history!! The Lords of Acid put on a great show too!

Yelp
One of the coolest venues I've ever been to. A 10/10 spot with a bunch of bars, space, and even a good little coffee shop in the upstairs mezzanine. They have the perfect space if you want to be with the crowd on the first floor amongst everyone. If you're more of a "from-afar" kind of person the upstairs area is a great option. They even have seating! You can't go wrong with any spot at this venue. Service is good, drinks are made well and even the coffee is delicious!

Yelp
This club is two tiny blocks away from Howard University, and in a Poppin part of town, which made me wish I had extra time to hang out maybe seek food out in this neighborhood, but I got to the venue just in time for my show. A great venue in my opinion is when there are many levels and layers of where to get your drinks, and hang out and chill and different spaces to watch the show which this place perfectly ticked. My favorite was when I was looking for a specific drink I was told I could find it in the basement and the basement bar was very quiet and cool place to be able to have a conversation. Then later, I went up in the balcony area and kind of found the perfect spot in the center up against the wall. I could feel the base booming and watch the concert straight on. People were dancing everywhere, and that was convenient as well for it's spaciousness here and there. The staff on hand is super nice and helpful and they are everywhere with flashlight ready to usher you out, if you needed. I came for a 930 show and apparently there's shows that happen in the first half of the night. A dual purpose club. Very cool venue not too big and drinks were great! And there was a large space for merch for sale by the artist.

Yelp
Wow what a fun venue. It's intimate, standing room only. There is a main floor and top floor. You can see the stage from all angles. I recently came to see white ford bronco the 90s cover band and had such a great time. Their alcohol is slightly over priced at $10 for a seltzer and $10.50 for Tito's and sprite. Over all I would come early for the dj and stay late for the show. I will definitely be back to this venue for more music in my future!
google avatar

Yelp
Great venue space. Enjoyed the food there and the staff was very helpful in guiding the crowd and making sure everyone gets in and had a great time(for a sold out event). I went to see dv4d and it was absolutely incredible to see my favorite artists that up close. Sound went crazy.
google avatar

Yelp
The 9:30 club was a groovy place in Washington D.C. that has all the specifications you want when you see rock shows; black walls, dark ambiance with purple and blue spotlighting, accessible bar close to the stage, spacious enough to find a good view of the stage to watch the show, a mezzanine to watch above the GA area (depending on availability), and accessible bathrooms in the back. We checked out Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches for a solo set with her backup band, which was great. The sound was spot on. The bar staff were exemplary with turning around the drink orders for everyone. And found everything to be very enjoyable. They didn't have food at the venue that we saw, but we had already eaten down the street, so that wasn't an issue. We didn't have to worry about parking since we were walking and taking the Metro everywhere, and it was easy to access the 9:30 Club as such without needing a car. The security staff were friendly and fair and made sure the queue moved forward steadily, especially with security and ticket checks.
google avatar

Rheana S.

Yelp
Not only were the staff super helpful, they were also amazingly friendly. We went to see Silversun Pickups, and the crowd was the most respectful I've ever been in. I love the historical value of the venue and found the record/CD room to be fascinatingly beautiful. I didn't have any food there, but the bar was stocked and had tasty mixed drinks. Water was available at the end of the bar.

Yelp
This is my 3rd time at the 9:30 club but this is the first time it's been sold out like this in my time of going! This is still one of my favorite venues to go to as it provides such a great up close closeness with the performers! You're never too far away even if you're at the top or the bottom, in the front or the back you will feel like you're at a personal concert! Such a vibe

Anya Z.

Yelp
No place to sit, food is disgusting, and the people who work there are rude. They almost kicked me out because one of the staff decided to single me out to apply an arbitrary rule. When I protested, a staff member said that she felt "attacked" which she tried to use as a reason to kick me out. I was in no way acting like a threat. She was on some power trip. I'm not coming back. I rate them a negative 5 stars.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for really good music and don't mind standing up fo ra few hours, this is for you! Despite the pre-show long lines to get in, we got in quickly and easily. Bars were well stocked well staffed, and convenient for getting drinks. It's a great atmosphere and a friendly crowd!
google avatar

Julissa G.

Yelp
This club is great to see emerging and bigger name artists. It's a relaxed venue that you can see concerts in and party during the week and weekend. Drinks and food are available inside that is a bit pricey for a drink, but also what you expect at a concert hall. I liked their small museum corner they have in the back of the venue showcasing every show hosted at their club since 1980, something worth checking out if you're early to the show. Staff seemed very friendly at the door and the bar. The vibes were 10/10 and every seat in the space is great! Highly recommend checking out upcoming concerts here.

Yelp
So this was my first of 2 things !! My First concert of 2024!! Since both my Retina Detatchment Surgeries!! Jan/April 1st.. I'm still in Recovery and can't go everywhere but my friend paid for an extra ticket! And I couldn't have been more glad I went!.. 2 this is my first time being at a Night Club/Concert Venue of this kind!! I truly enjoyed my experience mostly because since I still can't see too clearly all hands were on deck!! start to finish!! Mrs/Ms. Rachel was awesome she helped my friend with me up and down the steps and accommodated Us with Stools on the higher level was like sitting in lunch Box seats!! You can see EVERYTHING!!! the cherry cokes from this bar was amazing!! not too much grenadine!! & the performance lights were dope and the ones they had around that was lower I thought maybe for sensory and autism attendees idk ‍ but it's a dope look!! I'd definitely return here now that I know the set up!! & the wonderful ppl who made sure even upon leaving were right there to help my friend guide me safely down stairs!! And that I got out safely. So to everyone involved from the phone call to make the stool accommodations to the ppl that helped to make me have a wonderful experience and it's still ppl that would stop and assist in stead of standing around!! That experience meant so much!! Because through my surgeries I've had to watch ppl stand around and not have a thing to do when they could've helped even when they saw a slight struggle so thank you all!! I had a wonderful time at the concert last night and the staff/managers are really nice

Yelp
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional experiences I've had at your venue. From the effortless check-in process and immaculate restrooms to the remarkably attentive bar staff, every event I attend at the 9:30 Club is nothing short of amazing. Your commitment to providing a top-notch concert experience does not go unnoticed, and it's clear that your team's dedication contributes significantly to the overall enjoyment of each event. Thank you for consistently delivering excellence and creating memorable moments for all attendees. Keep up the fantastic work, and here's to many more incredible concerts at the 9:30 Club!

Yelp
Came here for a private event and got to see the new Atlantis and 9:30 club setup. The rooftop is a nice addition filled with local favorites and memories. The Disco Dan tags, the parking meters that never worked, the gogo shows, etc, definitely a nostalgic feel for people who grew up here.
google avatar

Cher S.

Yelp
Saw Majid Jordon here in December. I love this venue because they don't only serve alcohol. Upstairs they serve coffee and tea!! The event I was at was standing room only so I did opt for upstairs by the banister. I would recommend you arrive EARLY to get a good space but other than that, the bathrooms were clean and the tea/coffee selection was good. Staff seemed efficient and friendly!

Yelp
Great venue- easy to get to.good sight lines all around. Decent band's regularly booked. Tixs can be pricey but it's an intimate experience and if your favorite band is in town it's a can't miss.

Jenni O.

Yelp
0 buttholes for the 9:30 club! This place was awesome. I hate venues that overpack and squeeze as many people in as they can. There was plenty of room and no bad views. The sound was great everywhere. There are plenty of bars too!
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
Awesome to get to finally experience this historic music venue! Lovely staff, efficient check in process, great acoustics, and amazing acts. What else can you ask for!
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
I've been to 9:30 club maybe a dozen times for various artists and it's very cool. With 2 bars and a pretty intimate space, they can get decently sized artists in there for a special concert. It's often very hot, but their snacks and drinks are reasonably priced! I've also discovered some really awesome artists here over the years- I feel like they're frequently ahead of the curve w artists which is cool. Here's a video from when I saw soccer mommy there:
google avatar

Bobbi D.

Yelp
Such a cool venue! I saw Annika Bennett and local natives - unforgettable concert. I am surprised Annika was an opener... she is incredibly talented. And local natives were also so fun to watch - full on visuals and everything. Whoever does their lighting is amazing! Definitely crowded, like most music venues...but an awesome vibe.
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Great and spacious venue with friendly personnel. There is an upstairs for overhead viewing and downstairs there's a cool record room that's perfect for picture taking. Drinks were reasonably priced for the area. Went to see the abba music disco show and it was a blast.
google avatar

Kate S.

Yelp
Ugh, while this music venue is a classic and divey as hell, the space is just not it. Super cramped, acoustics are TERRIBLE, bathroom stalls are not configured well for people to enter/exit while also queuing, bar areas are so close to the venue floor... Much prefer the Fillmore, Anthem, etc.

Britney A.

Yelp
This place has all the vibes of a dried up 90s club. The people who work there are maybe 19 and will hassle you. I literally heard the "bouncer" tell my husband to "get his girl in check". I'm married with 4 kids.... I'm sure my accomplishments are more extenuating than being someone's girl. This place has MAJOR negative vibes. DON'T GO!!!
google avatar

Bill Y.

Yelp
BLUF: more intimate setting than most to see a concert. Most of Staff very friendly. Good food I've heard from several people that this was a neat venue. Finally had a chance to check it out. I do like the nice intimate setting, and by and large most of the staff was very friendly. The bartender at the second floor bar was pretty much a jerk, but giving the benefit of the doubt maybe he was just having a bad day. The food is actually pretty good although it is pretty much simple bar food. If you prepay for parking with them be aware that their parking lot is actually several blocks away from the venue. It's not right close by like you might expect. If you're leaving an event late at night this may be a factor for you.
google avatar

Lea S.

Yelp
My mom and I travelled 4 hours to come to a show here. We were so excited, and everything was off to a great start. Sadly, we will avoid this place at all costs after the way we were treated. Food and drink selection was decent, though overpriced, and the majority of the staff members we interacted with were pleasant. However, one song into the main act, a bouncer accused my mom of pushing her and had her removed from the venue. I was right next to her the entire time. My mom would never put hands on anyone and wasn't even close enough to touch her, let alone shove her, and had no reason to hurt anyone in the first place. I explained to the bouncer that she must have had her mistaken for someone else since my mom was nowhere near her. She cut me off and accused me of gaslighting her. We were eventually allowed back into the venue, but there was no apology and it certainly does not make up for their incredibly rude and unprofessional behavior.

Yelp
Fun concert/event venue. It's much smaller and more intimate than venues like CapitalOne Arena or Echostage, but I love that. I got to see an artist that not only had an awesome opener, but I - as a short woman - got to see the artists performing the WHOLE time despite tons of taller guys ahead of me?!!? The elevated stage + the smaller venue makes it possible. Also the opener artist was able to crowd surf and the main artist actually walked off the stage and performed in the crowd. You can't get that anywhere else. There is a second floor, so a lot of people were upstairs, and there is seating there. Main standing pit is fine too, just make sure you wear comfy shoes :)

K W.

Yelp
Staff is awesome, efficient, welcoming.. great venue, perfect size to enjoy your favorite up front or from balcony. Bartenders are so fast, wait time is minimal, service was awesome. Stage turn over was quick.... Fantastic time it was, look forward to returning.

Yelp
So far this has been my least favorite of the concert venues in DC. The lady at the entrance tried to question me on my DC ID multiple times (which has never happened before, in DC or outside of DC) and sneered at me. This particular person seemed to be on a bit of a power trip and questioning all of us, which made the line take forever. She even did it to a man in front of me who was clearly in his 40s. It really set the whole night off on the wrong foot, especially because of the attitude with which everything was handled. I didn't really meet anyone there seemed to be in a nice mood, which I have never run into before. Additionally, even though it's a smaller venue, the hallways are not really equipped to handle a crowd, which makes getting around to the bathroom or into the space very easy. The merch is also in the same room as the stage, and not in the front or off to the side like lots of other venues, which makes it harder for those wanting merch and those who don't. Those who do have to crowd around a really small area with no discernible line and deal with being shoved by new arrivals, but those not wanting merch who are at the back of the venue have to move around people trying to get their merch. It just made for a lot of unnecessary jostling around. I love small venues so I'm hoping if I ever come back it'll be a better experience because I really wanted to like it.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
This is by far our favorite venue in DC. The small setting gives it an intimate feel. You can really get up close to the artists. The vibes always tend to be good here. They frequently bring in awesome big-name artists. We recently saw Purity Ring here for the third time and had a blast. The bar serves all the normal stuff at an expectedly marked up price. The merch sometimes runs out before the show is over. We will be back again for many more concerts.
google avatar

Madison B.

Yelp
Great venue! Entry is straightforward, seating/standing options are plentiful, and coat check is insanely fast with returns! I've been to three concerts here now, and I've always had a great time! Love that there are bars on either side of the space for easy access.

Emily H.

Yelp
I've only been here once, and it feels smaller in person than I expected it to based on photos, but I don't think there are any obstructed sight lines to the stage. It's a typical dive-bar music venue with a light food menu. If you stand on the sides of the balcony row, wear earplugs since you will be next to the speaker! They do make everyone over 21 put their hand directly on a little platform for a hand stamp, which is gross because every single person is touching the same surface over and over-- bring hand sanitizer.
google avatar

VyVy V.

Yelp
December 2021 - COVID Review: I visited 9:30 Club for the first time to see San Holo for his second show. I've heard from others that have been here before that the venue was small, but I would say that I actually loved how intimate it was! I've been to The Anthem, Echostage, and DC Armory, which are much larger venues, but it was really nice to feel a little more enclosed but still feel like you're super close to the artists. They have an upstairs with standing room on steps, so essentially there isn't really a bad view from anywhere inside. I also appreciated that they had bathrooms throughout the venue too - including upstairs so that you don't have to wait in a long line for the main one downstairs!
google avatar

Richard M.

Yelp
I still am heading horror stories from friends who've gone to 9:30 club. Avoid at all costs!
google avatar

Jessie T.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place, their great music & good atmosphere. Great surround sound.

Yelp
Came here to watch TOKiMONSTA on a Saturday night. The drinks (beer) were cheap and the line to get in moved rather quickly. The venue itself is great because anywhere you stand you have a great view. We were in the back and I'm on the shorter side of the scale but I was able to see everything and enjoy the show. **due to covid they are requiring you to show proof of vaccination or negative covid test and you have to wear your mask at all times. This is per DC not the venue. So don't get mad at the employees or give them a hard time. :)

Lindsay B.

Yelp
If i could add 0 stars i would. This happened to not only me but friends of ours. Individuals in our group were spotted with a drink in hand down the street from the club. They were approached (not yet on property) and their drink was taken and they were told they were not allowed to drink within the club. This was ridiculous as is, our friends were near sober and even DC police are not this strict obviously. But regardless, fair enough. The group enters the bar and buys drinks for those who are allowed to drink. The two people in our group who weren't allowed to drink (they were 25 btw) go to the restroom. While in the restroom, they attempt to wash off a giant stamp saying they weren't allowed to drink and security followed them in to catch them. One got away and joined the others where she waterfalled part of another girls drink. All of this to say, the rules here were absurd, to approach someone OFF PROPERTY with a drink in hand and ban them from drinking is wild enough. But when security approached the remainder of the group inside, anyone associated with the member was told to leave. 5 full drinks were confiscated, they put "X"s on both hands, and three individuals had nothing to do with the incident other than entering the building in the group. While it felt like an abuse of power to ban the individuals caught for other incidents, kicking those out who had nothing to do with said incident(s) at all, without a refund, was ABSOLUTELY WRONG. This is not the first time this has happened and we feel as though they were as strict as they were about their liquor license because they were already on the verge of losing it. I've been to this club in the past and have zero intention of coming again-I'm aware how little the business actually cares about this but want to share incase others have experienced the same. I paid $90 for a ticket and was banned for simply knowing someone who was drinking outside the venue (WHO AGAIN, was sober enough to take a sobriety test and pass) it felt like a power trip and i am angry that they stole 6 tickets worth of money from us. No refund. Hope this helps people debating on visiting this club.

Yelp
First time visiting the club at this location. Waited a long time in line for a show with doors open at 6. It was after 630 when we got in and the first band was half way through their set. I wished they had opened the doors sooner so we didn't miss part of the show. The acoustics are horrible and the music was super loud. The performer was very poorly miked making it impossible to hear over the singing crowd. This too was disappointing. The crowds were awful and not well managed. The merch booth was also impossible to get to. It was ungodly hot on the upper level. I was really uncomfortable with the hand stamp which had already touched a thousand other hands. I immediately wiped it off. Gross. While waiting in line, we were told to stand on the right side of the sidewalk, then were told to move to the left, then back to the right... make up your mind!
google avatar

Lynne S.

Yelp
We went to see Moonchild here on a SCHOOL night!! How exciting lol The 930 Club has always been an easy venue to catch artists up close and personal - if you're into standing most of the time - and enjoy the close company of others that enjoy the same music. Didn't try the food or drinks but everything else was pretty orderly and they didn't have us outside waiting in the chilly weather for too long. The acoustics are pretty good and the venue overall is quite chill. Just be prepared to stand still or make small movements or you may end up in someone else's "space"

Kelisa K.

Yelp
For some reason I will never understand, I got kicked out for ordering a drink. I wasn't drunk, so I honestly do not understand what happened. The female bartender seemed like she was looking for a fight (also treated my friend poorly, and what happened may be related to that, but I honestly had no idea that there was a situation going on there when I tried to place my order), and I unfortunately ended up being the next victim. I've been coming to this venue for decades and have never been treated as poorly as I was last night. Even the officer outside was flummoxed. I've personally never enjoyed this venue because it's usually very hot and crowded, but this just added to my disappointment. I will make sure to avoid it as much as I can from now on.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Have been here once for a comedy show a couple of months ago. The staff was efficient in moving patrons through the lines outdoors and getting them seated quickly. The bar staff were friendly and very helpful in processing the orders of patrons standing in line. Food orders are simple and quick and there is a separate line for that. After my first visit, it was a quick and easy learning experience to learn the layout of this place. I will be back for another detailed review.
google avatar

Rafael B.

Yelp
A great venue for shows. However, I was kicked out due to my mask being down while consuming my drink (that I ordered there). I understand the mask mandate is being enforced strictly but there were other individuals (of the white demographic) who had their masks completely off without a drink in their hand yet none of them received a warning or were kicked out. Despite this fact, I complied and exited the venue. I expressed my observations to the bouncer and I was told that they only noticed/tracked me. I think I was unfairly treated but I may just be using the race card (so take this review with your own discretion). I think the 9:30 Club is a great venue. I just ask that their staff treats their guests fairly.

Lynne C.

Yelp
There really needs to be more nearby parking for people coming from long distances who can't take public transportation late at night. It's not safe for anyone walking back to their car.

Jessica L.

Yelp
WORST CLUB EVER!!!!!!! People were getting kicked out for no reason... it was literally like have babysitters that just felt like using power. The amount of times staff came up to harass me was insane and I was just standing there. Maybe had 1 cup of water in the 5 hours.. The concert would've been way better ANYWHERE else DONT COME HERE

Liam M.

Yelp
I was mugged at gunpoint near the venue and apathetic management refused a refund. After calling and emailing, the best I got was a nameless "box office" email telling me that I should've called before the show (mind you, I was busy being robbed and lost my phone and wallet) and that the $90 I'd spent on tickets was wasted. I didn't realize that the club was in a dangerous area. I understand that running a club is a difficult business but sheesh. Definitely will not be going back.

Yelp
We love 9:30 Club. The experience at this place is just top-notch and I would always recommend getting there early and looking around. Not only does it let you get a better spot when the crowd starts to pour in but also lets you check out some of their historic records that they have in the back that denote all of the people that have played there (in chronological order). The sound in this place is great and they continue to have quality artists come in to play. I've been a handful of times and I know I'll be back again.

Yelp
Walked 30min in the rain to purchase tickets at the box office for an upcoming show, arrived ~10pm. Both online and written signs at the venue itself advertise that the box office is open until 11pm on show nights. We had to wait around outside the venue until 10:40 before someone would speak to us, and then were told that the box office isn't open and they couldn't sell us tickets despite their advertised hours. A pretty meh venue overall, from prior experiences other reviews are correct in that it's very hot upstairs and the security here are too handsy with women for my comfort. I still occasionally go back when a decent performer comes through.

Yelp
The 9:30 Club is a great place to see a great band in an intimate space. My girlfriend just so happened to buy an extra ticket to see Yuna a while back and invited me to join her. The sound system is perfect in this venue. We arrived early to get a good spot and decided to go upstairs for a better view. We grabbed a couple of beers at the bar before settling on a sweet space and dared anyone to stand in front of us (lol). The show was great. It was Yuna's tour of her second album after she took some time off to get married and relish in the stardom of her first hit single, "Crush" with Usher. Her voice is pure and I just love her authenticity. In the middle of her set, 9:30 Club workers brought in a bunch of black towels and started spreading on the concrete floor beside and in front us. It was dark so I couldn't really tell what was going on but imagined the rain outside must of come in like a flood. Minutes later I remembered we were on the second floor. Then I saw the bathroom door open in the distance and folks scattering to get out the way. The damn toilet flooded. I was completely grossed out! I'd give this place 5 stars but since they had the black towels on deck, that seemed to mean they were used to it. Hopefully that has been fixed because who wants that kind of distraction during a live concert?

Yelp
First time going for the hot in herre venue and not even 5 minutes pass after getting shoved out by security for vaping no signs are shown and no warning was given I tried asking if could throw it away or at least tell my friends what was happening but instead I got manhandled and have a scratch to prove it . Pls 9:30 club fix your staff bc I'm highly considering pressing charges this is ridiculous I have never been thrown out a club let alone in this fashion .

Yelp
Absolutely horrible venue. The band, Unknown Mortal Orchestra showed up on stage 2.5hrs after the doors opened. They were drunk. And somehow could afford it since drinks were $10 min. The security guards were rude as f*ck. We said 'we hope you have a good night' upon entering and they were so rude back. Then when my wife squatted cuz we'd been in the car for 3hrs to see them, the security guard threatened to kick us out for squatting. 'If it happens again then you have to leave. If you wanted to sit, you should've bought a VIP ticket.' General admission was $32 and the small time band we loved was acting like king d*ck showing up late on the stage drunk as f*ck and sounding horrible live. We left after 30-45min to make the 3hr drive home cuz it was so bad. F*CK the venue and F*CK Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

Yelp
I cannot even begin to describe how ridiculous the mask standards are at this place. As soon as you take a sip of your drink they come to you and force you to put your mask back on.We did, however, comply after the first warning and kept our masks on the whole time.Little did I know they clearly don't like when people are having fun.We were dancing and recording videos while wearing masks and then they saw my fiend without a mask as she was drinking her beer and she got kicked out! Me and my other friends had to leave as well as we could not tolerate this unfair and rude treatment. The security guy didn't like my friend since the beginning because she was a pretty white blonde girl.Racism goes both ways guys! Moreover,as we were at the gate waiting for our coats to be brought, the other security guy started pulling the beer out of my friend's hand even though we were still inside the building and were not planning to take it outside. I hope this place gets shut down and the people working there lose they jobs because they clearly have never heard of the words respect and politeness. Worst club ever!!

Yelp
Ignorant, unnecessarily aggressive, and Ridiculous about their mask mandate. If you sip your drink and don't replace it within a millisecond it's a problem. Almost tyrannical about it. Just... avoid until COVID mask mandates are over. The staff has found something to assertively power trip about with certain... patrons.
