I really wanted to give this a 5-star review, but unfortunately last night two of my male friends (who were flirting but having a conversation, no physical contact) were kicked out by a bouncer for no apparent reason. Later, when another friend asked that same bouncer why he had them removed from the venue, his response was that ‘he didn’t want to see this’ and that it was ‘unhygienic’. Safe to say we were all shocked. First time witnessing someone being so openly homophobic, didn’t think it could happen so casually but here we go. Do better.

Fab. It’s a cute little dive bar. Great staff. Good cocktails.

I found this great new bar while walking in my neighborhood. Its my go to spot now. I took my buddies from uptown there the other night they love it too. Delicious Mexican food and cocktails. Lots of wonderful stuff on the walls. Great rare memorabilia. Very cool music. Real chill vibe with a sweet and sexy staff, so it feels like summer is finally coming.

By far the most disrespectful experience I've ever had at a bar. I am fairly sensitive to alcohol, and after having one drink, my friends and I were all refused water. Mind you, we were fully willing to pay for water. The bartender claimed she didn't have time to get it for us. The bar was pretty much empty. I NEVER leave reviews but this was absolutely egregious. I spent the rest of the night feeling extremely sick AFTER ONE DRINK because we were refused water. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

My favorite bar in the LES, hell, maybe all of nyc rn. Excellent emo music, fun loving crowd, service is ok but whatever, you'll get a drink eventually. It's hard not to have a good time here

Hands down, the best rock n’ roll dive since Motor City. This place has electric atmosphere, carefully curated and adorned with relics from rock n roll’s esoteric past. It’s a full on sensory delight, with warm and inviting folks running the place. The cocktails are yummy and named after gems like “Goo Goo Muck” and “Sex Beat”. The jukebox is exquisite, but last Sunday was a Josh Styles and one of the owners, Jonathan Toubin - a NYC rock n’ roll institution, with a collection of 45s so exquisitely pulled, I was suspended in fun laughs good time mode from 10pm to last call. This is a bar for the savvy and layman alike - and honestly feels like a neightborhood joint befitting its punk rock mythology history. Jonathan Toubin (and friends Jesse Malin and Johnny T) are stalwarts and genuinely care about catering to the community, and making happenings happen. Plus the bathrooms are clean, with tp and a mirror. I couldn’t be happier.

Was drawn in as a fan of 1966 psych and saw the old school juke box thru the window, so the pieces fit. My chinatown papaya was bruised and leaking and they took care of my papaya as if it was their own papaya. Quality top to bottom, with Kind Staff. Bonus that it connected to several other bars that make sense.

Yelp
This is a great little dive bar with a fun rock n roll vibe. The walls have so much music history and legends in my eyes on them. I love the tribute to Howie Pyro. The bartender was so nice and made us feel welcomed. Overall a great experience and very fun time here.

Yelp
So, this is maybe the 5/6 iteration of this bar since 2010. There's a strange impression like this joint is a inside joke. I went there after seeing The Walkmen myself and A friend walked into an empty at 10:15. Menu placed out for food but, given no hours regarding when food is being served the bar person sort of scoffed and just nodded and walked away. Regarding the inside joke thing maybe it's the constant idea that D Generation was a huge band of note. I beg to differ.

Yelp
Watch out for the bartender Nicole. She's a scammer. Tried to default her tip to 35% of the bill. 20% is enough for ordering a drink at the bar. There was NO service provided other than pouring my glass of wine. The payment system only allows for 20% - 30% - 35% tips.

Yelp
A new addition to the East Village bar scene. Entry is a door down from Niagara at 7th & A. Nice bar on the left as you enter and a FREE juke box to the left of the bar. Nice brick interior with lots of rock & roll memorabilia on the walls from the collection of former D-Generation member, Howie Pyro. Walk back and you can go downstairs to the space formerly occupied by Cabin Down Below. Nice lighting gives a relaxing vibe, and a good cocktail menu relaxes a little more. Bartenders were friendly. I think a food menu is in the works, but not sure about availability yet. My night there looked good, sounded good and tasted good. Give it a try!

Yelp
If you walk in and you see that the blonde bartender is the one working, don't even bother. Over the course of 30 minutes, I ordered my drinks from her multiple times despite her forgetting, and once she charged me for the two drinks, I waited another 5 minutes for her to make my cocktail which I paid for, just for her to tell me that I didn't order it and that "she would never charge me for a drink I didn't order" and that I should "try ordering" if I wanted the cocktail. All of us left because we were unable to get drinks - sad because it is a cute looking bar. Not to mention that she started off by asking the whole bar to wait 5 minutes if she gave us all a discount so she could presumably hook up with a guy she was making out with in the bathroom. She did in fact go to the bathroom.
