Yelp
You know how you do something so much it becomes rather routine? Well sometimes it's rather weird to rate a place you are at all the time. Especially if you have mixed emotions about the place. I don't work at 99 Cent Only or should I say 99 Cent and Up (They are currently being sued because they now have items that are more than $.99) But I stand guard there for my job. So I "Kinda" work there. Security at a "Dollar Store" you may say....well that is another story, if you see me out and about or at an "Yelp" event ask me the details about that. But here is my view on 99 Cent...."Only"

I'm going about this review more on the aspect of a "Customer" and not as the "Top Flight Security Guard" that has to watch the premises of this store. This location my little brother works at, and some friends of mine "worked" at. and I been coming here for a long time. Back in the day this place use it be an "Albertsons" remember those? When 99 Cent Only came in (cir 2004) they revamped the inside some and put a wall up here and there and BOOM! there you have it, 99 Cent Only Stores Antioch.

The Store:
99 Cent Only is a "Baller on a Budget" approved spot. They have a great selection of merchandise for people that may be on a fixed income or on a tight budget. Or for people that have stickey fingers....sorry even as a "Customer" I've seen people steal like paying "A buck" for a few things is going to break them. Anywho, they have one upped the competition by adding a fresh produce section and featured items that may or may not be just ($.99) and top name brand items in all departments of the store. That's where the bargain hunter in you have to explore for yourself and see what you find. That's the beauty of the 99 Cent Only Store in my option as compared to the.."Competition" you can actually shop in here and leave with a basket full of items and not realized you got it out of a dollar store....SCORE!
Will I go back....
Well..Just take a look at my check in's. I'm there everyday and most of it is to get paid, but outside the uniform....Yea, I still went here. They usually have what I want or need, but at times can be a huge hit or miss. So best advice for going into a 99 Cent Only store is...."If you see it, buy it" because chances are it's a one time buy and you will not get the chance again. Or at least not soon.
In Conclusion, Yea this location has gone down some, but I don't really blame the store, I blame The City of Antioch for not beefing up.."Security" (no puns intended) where it need to be the most. To be honest, most of the homeless and hoodlum kids will not mess with you between the security guard presence between this store and "Big Lots" next door. The area is kinda run down, but, the store itself is a bargaining persons best bet. Not to mention it's close by the freeway and sits at a very convenient location. As always, of you happen to be in the area and come here "Yelp" your own experience. And if you see me at the door....don't give me a hard time! :D
