Why You’re Seeing the AriZona Iced Tea Can Everywhere | Eater

"A temporary 99-cent retail pop-up in Soho turned the beverage brand into a streetwear experience, selling clothes, bathing suits, fanny packs, and skateboards emblazoned with the cans’ iconic designs and offering live activations like tattoo artists giving away branded ink. The space functioned as a fan celebration and physical extension of the label’s merch strategy, reinforcing its crossover from pantry staple to lifestyle and collectible fashion item." - Jaya Saxena

Google
They have a lot of stuff and with good prices. What irritates me is that they always have 1 or 2 cashiers for 20 people waiting in line do you can spend 5 min shopping and 15 to 20 min in line waiting to pay.

Google
Love this store. They have so much. I always visit this first before going to a traditional grocery store. I love salads so I like to get all of ingredients from here.

Just had a horrible experience inside this 99 cent store and would not recommend anybody coming here if you have to deal with this manager it was a Caucasian lady that says that she's the manager I was told that there was a restroom that I could use after I just got done purchasing my items and when I went to the area I was treated very rudely by this manager and told to get the f out.this area is for employees and then proceeded to slam her office door shut. I have never been spoken to by anyone in the customer service industry so rudely and disrespectfully. this needs type of behavior and way of speaking by her is unacceptable and needs to be dealt with by corporate now!

Google
For a budget store, you get a lot of variety of foods here for cheap. The fruits and vegetables are usually good, just make sure to look at them throughly to make sure your are getting a quality product. Great place to pick up tons of snacks and candies and ice creams. Location is a bit sketchy due to the location.

Google
Good variety of items at reasonable prices. I’m giving 2 stars because there are no shopping carts or very limited number of carts for customers. I went in Sunday and ended up picking only few items because of this. This store must be losing business because of this issue. I don’t think I’m coming back here again.

Pawan Samplay

Google
It's a good Store, few issue with this store in these 3-4 years I have found are that either there's always a staff shortage or they don't want to come to register. There's always a huge line of 10-15 people standing in each of those two lines with open registers with other 7-8 registers closed. Also few of the card readers have issues accepting cards with chip and hand written notes explains that the issue has not been addressed to appropriates. Else, Store is clean and stocked.

Boots

Google
Great deals, but then to see people walking out with their arms full of stuff they didn't pay for--? Unnerving to say the least. Especially as the "security" guard stood there and watched, just shaking his head...? Hell no.

John-Alexander Cardenas

Google
Hood as per usual. While you’re waiting in line, you can see people walking out with items that weren’t paid for. Homeless and/or the typical druggie is loading their backpack with items. If you value personal space, safety, and want a better shopping experience go elsewhere.

Yelp
It's 7:20am on 11/21/23, the hours says it opens at 7am. The door is locked. What's up with that

Yelp
I came here to get Christmas bags. This place has a huge parking lot but not in the best area. This store is huge . The place isn't the cleanest but there are a lot of options. They sell fresh food and a lot of frozen. It's best to go on the day they get the fruits and vegetables. They have a lot of things for kids. Like coloring books, paints, and toys. Overall okay but you can't beat the price.

Yelp
I used to go to this store many times as a child, and they seem to have everything you are looking for especially if you are on a budget. I remembered they served fresh garlic bread, I remember there used to be a toy section in the store, and I even remembered the aisles being numbered as if you were rolling a dice. Now I am not sure if this is due to the city or changing times but there's something about going there that gives me an uneasy feeling. Maybe it has something to do with how old and run down this shopping center is, maybe it has something to do with the homeless people running around the area, or maybe it has something to do with the thought that you could come out of the store and your car has gotten broken into or something, but either way, if I need something from this store, it's best if I go with an adult as I don't really feel safe here. The store itself is fine, as I don't really have any issues but if they could improve on something, maybe they need to open up more registers. Oh, and please clean up the bathrooms as I once went in there and it was NASTY.

Yelp
I came to this store after coming for dollar tree and being disappointed for not having the item I wanted. I should have came here first, the true MVP I was in and out no more then 10 min. Sometimes that's not the case when walking into 99 cents store but it's ok no harm in waiting sometimes.

Jess C.

Yelp
I just witness a store employee yelling at an elderly lady who was in line. The employee told everyone she was closed but they were already there waiting and the older lady was next. The proceeded the yell back and forth to each other. The store employees called the customer a liar and was giving major attitude. Prior to that encounter I walked in the store and there were no carts in the whole store or outside. I asked an employee and they just shrugged. I was holding my baby. I went back to the rollable carts/ baskets to see if I could just use one of those but they are all broken with a sign below telling customers to ask the people at the register for one and all the other basket with wheels were bike locked to the pole. Most ghetto 99 cent store. I only lasted 10 mins in there and left without buying anything.

Yelp
This store has gone down hill. The prices have gone up. It was messy with things on the floor that I was stepping on. There was a shopping cart shortage and not because of abundance of customers. I had to use the restroom but they were closed. Ended up leaving my things.

Yelp
This location seem to keep their shelfs well stocked and clean. Found some great deals on mangoes . They are so crunchy , sweet/ sour just how I like it.

Yelp
Phone number is out of service. Would be nice to have a proper telephone number posted for quick questions. It's a pain to drive over and the product isn't available.

Yelp
Early run to the 99 Cent store. Cashier Dejanahae was very unfriendly. I had to speak twice before she said hello. While bagging my groceries she put the food in with the cleaning supplies. When I mentioned it instead of her fixing it she puts the bag on the counter for me to do. While putting my groceries on the counter a cleaning product slipped out my hand and spilled. She did not offer me a paper towel to wipe it off my hands, I had to request it. Bad customer service.

Yelp
This place has lots of things that comes in handy and at a great price. You don't need a lot of money to shop like a boss. $100 you can get the things you need. They baskets needs maintenance. Took me to go through three to find a good one. I don't know why they keep defected baskets in circulation. But overall I'd still spend my money. Oh.... the candy isle stats stocked up.

Yelp
They got everything here you need for $0.99 snacks cleaning essentials stationary for your kids for school drinks desserts if you're moving into a new place this is definitely the first place you want to hit up

Yelp
You know how you do something so much it becomes rather routine? Well sometimes it's rather weird to rate a place you are at all the time. Especially if you have mixed emotions about the place. I don't work at 99 Cent Only or should I say 99 Cent and Up (They are currently being sued because they now have items that are more than $.99) But I stand guard there for my job. So I "Kinda" work there. Security at a "Dollar Store" you may say....well that is another story, if you see me out and about or at an "Yelp" event ask me the details about that. But here is my view on 99 Cent...."Only" 6/4/16 I'm going about this review more on the aspect of a "Customer" and not as the "Top Flight Security Guard" that has to watch the premises of this store. This location my little brother works at, and some friends of mine "worked" at. and I been coming here for a long time. Back in the day this place use it be an "Albertsons" remember those? When 99 Cent Only came in (cir 2004) they revamped the inside some and put a wall up here and there and BOOM! there you have it, 99 Cent Only Stores Antioch. Service 2/5 Cleanliness 3/5 Product 4/5 The Store: 99 Cent Only is a "Baller on a Budget" approved spot. They have a great selection of merchandise for people that may be on a fixed income or on a tight budget. Or for people that have stickey fingers....sorry even as a "Customer" I've seen people steal like paying "A buck" for a few things is going to break them. Anywho, they have one upped the competition by adding a fresh produce section and featured items that may or may not be just ($.99) and top name brand items in all departments of the store. That's where the bargain hunter in you have to explore for yourself and see what you find. That's the beauty of the 99 Cent Only Store in my option as compared to the.."Competition" you can actually shop in here and leave with a basket full of items and not realized you got it out of a dollar store....SCORE! Will I go back.... Well..Just take a look at my check in's. I'm there everyday and most of it is to get paid, but outside the uniform....Yea, I still went here. They usually have what I want or need, but at times can be a huge hit or miss. So best advice for going into a 99 Cent Only store is...."If you see it, buy it" because chances are it's a one time buy and you will not get the chance again. Or at least not soon. In Conclusion, Yea this location has gone down some, but I don't really blame the store, I blame The City of Antioch for not beefing up.."Security" (no puns intended) where it need to be the most. To be honest, most of the homeless and hoodlum kids will not mess with you between the security guard presence between this store and "Big Lots" next door. The area is kinda run down, but, the store itself is a bargaining persons best bet. Not to mention it's close by the freeway and sits at a very convenient location. As always, of you happen to be in the area and come here "Yelp" your own experience. And if you see me at the door....don't give me a hard time! :D

Yelp
I walked in here for the first time a few months ago. I was thinking it would be just another crappy dollar store I was wrong, this store is far superior to any other of its type i have seen.. just a few of the items i bought here this week for 99 cents each 10 lbs. of potatoes 1 doz. large eggs 2 lbs bananas 32 oz soy milk 8 oz, Alaskan Pollock fillets 4 oz pacific sole fillets 15 pk kitchen trash bags 8 pk of Duracell AA battery's, (expire in 2012) if you are on a budget, or just cheap(like me) you really should check this place out Very clean store, well stocked, well lit and plenty of parking

Yelp
I was very impressed with this store and I went in a little bit like "hmmm..." 99 cents stores are fairly hit or miss with me, but this location was a big hit. The aisles had good space, they had a a very large range of fresh fruit and vegetables (score!) and frozen food available. The quantity of their food items was unbelievable and you really can't beat the prices. Such a steal for bacon! I went in with my dad who is in a wheelchair a few days ago and we were helped by several employees. The wait time wasn't too bad for the long lines, but there really is no room for a long line to form so it can often look more packed than it is. The part I liked the most was the nice store employee who offered to help us with our cart to the car. You really can't imagine how nice it is when stores take care of their disabled customers. We noticed and we're customers at this store for as long as it's open for.

Yelp
Well... not EVERYTHING here is 99 cents. But everything is pretty cheap, I'll say that much. It's exactly what you'd expect in a 99 cent store. However, I don't knock any stars out for there always only being 2 registers open all the time, that's at every grocery store.

Yelp
DO NOT BUY OR EAT REFRIGERATED GOODS FROM THIS LOCATION. Go there and you will see things that need to be refrigerated out in the isles just sitting for extended periods of time. I bought a tiny thing of milk from here (which I wouldn't normally do, because I don't drink milk anymore and just wanted a little try again) IT WAS SPOILED AND VILE. This 99cent store is only good for mouth wash and paper plates. The Concord location is the best.

Yelp
Lots of good stuff, staff is friendly and helpful, lines can get long though but the deals are worth the wait

Yelp
This place is in a dirty part of an old, run down center where it doesn't seem many tenants appreciate their business as there's trash everywhere in the parking lot, people that are homeless all over the place and uneasy feeling when you get out the car if you're going to be mobbed by somebody. Yet once you go inside... It's a whole new story. This place is huge with tons of good products all nicely stocked very clean very organized and very impressive.

Amanda R.

Yelp
I just left this 99 cent store and I was so surprised with all the great stuff they have tons of organic foods and snacks and did I mention everything is 99 cents and above I just bought my daughters unicorn pinata there and all the goodies to go inside we also got some other goodies and they have a amazing toy section if your looking for reasonable birthday presents! Dont drive by this place with out stopping in you never know what you might find !

Yelp
I needed to stock up on some emergency supplies for my family in case a devastating earthquake like the one in Japan happens in the Bay Area. Mother Earth should not be taken for granted. The "Ring of Fire" is making it's rounds. 99 Cent Only stores can help you prepare for major emergencies economically.
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
I love this store!! I buy most of my holiday decorations here and they last a few years.. Great price for the large amounts of veggies you get. I buy almost all of my kids school supplies here. I honestly go here at the very least twice a month for everyday/cleaning items. I always come out of the store with more than what was on my list. I've even bought Christmas gifts here.
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
The 99 cent only store is great to go to if you're looking for something you'd normally find at a dollar store - think aspirin, scissors, pencils, general office or cleaning supplies (although I'm not sure how environmentally friendly the cleaning supplies are) and yes, even fresh fruit and vegetables (supposedly delivered on Tuesday). Of course, most people that shop there are poor, extremely so - poverty - but thats not going to make me stop shopping there. (I love it when people try to play the, "I don't shop there because THEY do," card.) Any who, the only reason I give it 3 out of 5 stars is for the customer service. Hire people who are friendly and personable. Your stores in Chico, CA and Concord, CA have very friendly employees. Shouldn't be an issue to find some descent people, right?!
google avatar

Kaitlynn R.

Yelp
They need to check the date on some of the refrigerated items. Because there was an expired bag of salad in the back. You're supposed to use fifo
google avatar

Anastacia S.

Yelp
This is my go-to dollar store. The aisles are kept clean and they are always well stocked. I can usually find all kinds of stuff, and never leave without a few bags full. This place is especially great for kids items and seasonal items. Much better than Dollar Tree across the street.
google avatar

Brittanni M.

Yelp
Today I went to the 99cent store to grab butter for my program, as I was waiting in line, the guy ahead of me checking out did not put a bag of grapes on the counter. The cashier said, "sir you forgot the grapes.." All of a sudden the guy freaks out "its cuz I'm black huh!?!.." He starts cussing her out for like 3 minutes...screaming at this young lady going completely bizerk. she remained calm & The girl finally calls a manager. The manager comes up "what did you say to him? Why is he upset?!" I then tell the manager, "she didn't do anything! He went off on her!" then I told the girl "don't worry about it.." That was just insane..... The poor clerk was doing her job. A manager should have their employees back....

William H.

Yelp
Good prices. Have most stuff in stock. Only problem is the checkers are slow. They don't call someone else to help.
google avatar

Dawn A.

Yelp
They have a good selection of stuff I go in for craft stuff to make with the kids to me the store has gotten cleaner the employees are not very friendly but it is a 99 cent store so I really don't expect service like in other stores the lines at this one are always to long and they always seem to have only 2 registers open this time they did have 3 but the line I was in she closed and there were a good 7 people in each line so they don't care how many people have to wait
google avatar

Keesa J.

Yelp
The store itself is pretty good but their parking lot has turned into a homeless encampment. Garbage all over the place, people living in RV's that leak raw sewage, it's just nasty. I've stopped shopping their and won't until the issues in the parking lot are taken care of.

Tiana A.

Yelp
I love this store. Always finding a bargain here, whether it be a gallon of PEAK Ice Tea, to delicious bag of cuties (tangerines). It's always clean, fully stocked. the only reason I give 4 stars, the staff is off-standish and very SLOW. Lines are generally long especially in the beginning of the month
google avatar

Dominique C.

Yelp
I love going hear it's so coo and people who work ther are so nice I had to give them a good review

Tamara R.

Yelp
I am completely disappointed with the FALSE ADVERTIZING fact that not everything in the store is "99ct Only" and the unapologetic way the manager states "In name only" when one of my items rang up to almost ten dollars!
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
They definitely cut back on some of the products they use to have. There was some remodeling done of the aisles but this store is still as dirty as it was before. Plenty of aisles had open and half eaten containers of food sitting on the shelves. They carry a good amount of everyday items as well as some exotic snacks and drinks you can't find at any other $1 store.
google avatar

Nicol M.

Yelp
I am very impressed how clean, organized, well stocked, and great variety of products they have. The staff works very hard, are friendly, and do an excellent job. Thank you! :-)

Fatima R.

Yelp
This store has amazing deals! My favorite to go store for any decor, food ,household or seasonal items I need. If you love finding good deals and save some money this is the store to go to.

Re H.

Yelp
The store looks great the way it was changed around...however, customer is still poor!
