I recently visited Ranch 99 in Chandler, and I was genuinely impressed. The way they organize the products along the aisles is incredibly neat and easy to navigate, which makes shopping so much more enjoyable. The atmosphere inside the store feels clean and welcoming, and even near the seafood section the smell is surprisingly pleasant, a big plus compared to many other markets. They have so many options to choose from, whether you're looking for fresh produce, snacks, sauces, or specialty items. I also love that there’s a place to eat inside, perfect if you want to grab a quick bite after shopping. And the bakery shop is amazing, lots of fresh bread and cakes that are hard to resist! Overall, a great shopping experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

For a first-time visitor this can be overwhelming. So many foods to choose from. From the bakery to the seafood market. From the fresh veggies to the dairy department. And everything in between. Beautiful selection of foods. My personal favorite. Bakery department. When you walk in. Quickly look to your left side. Can't miss all the yummy breads and rolls in the area. Friendly staff. Very helpful. Lots of choices. Seafood is fresh and swimming around in glass cases. So go pick out what you want. The department that has all the drinks is another great area. So many to choose from. Maybe some fruits or vegetables that you might not find in your typical grocery store. A great array of pears, grapes and oranges.

One of my favorite places to shop for groceries is 99 Ranch Market. It's a treasure trove of ingredients I can't find anywhere else, and the selection is just incredible. I love exploring the aisles, discovering new sauces and snacks, and especially checking out the fresh produce section. They always have the most beautiful variety of fruits and vegetables, and it's so inspiring to see all the different options for my cooking. Every trip feels like an adventure, and I always leave with a cart full of delicious finds.

We shopped at 99 Ranch Market located at 1920 West Chandler Boulevard in Chandler Arizona. There is a wide variety of items, many of which might appeal to international customers. There are also a bunch of small restaurants on the east end of the store. The store was clean and well organized. I’m well aware that inflation has made the cost of groceries increase tremendously over the last few years. With that said, some of the prices at 99 Ranch Market seemed a little higher than I’m used to paying, however, some of the items seemed to be priced reasonably. I see a wide range of prices for Mangoes at various stores, and 99 Ranch Market was selling boxes of 10 mangoes for $9.99. We have not tried one yet because we haven’t had time to get hungry yet after returning home. Overall, our experience was pleasant and we look forward to shopping here again. We also look forward to trying several of the restaurants located within the store.

Google
It can be pretty pricey depending on what you're getting, but overall a great option. I bring my aunt's god kid here all the time, there are definitely a lot of novelty items in the store. Depending on the day, the staff can be pretty helpful if you're having a hard time finding something.

Google
I've gone to 99 in California on and off for years. I find a good selection of ingredients however they are a little pricy and some produce isn't the freshest. There Mesa location is newer and a very nice store.

Google
Good place. Nice variety of food but pretty much expensive!

Clean, nice Asian supermarket. Well priced produce, freshly made pastries, and lots of instant noodles.

Yelp
Love this grocery store. Everything is so reasonably priced, and the variety is amazing. There are so many unique items, fresh produce, and specialty ingredients that are hard to find elsewhere. It is also surrounded by other great stores, which makes it a convenient stop for a full shopping trip. I prefer it so much more over the other nearby Asian mart. Always a pleasant experience every time I visit.

Yelp
I stopped by around 11:36 AM and checked out the hot trays of ready-to-eat food. Unfortunately, most of the items--except for two entrees--looked like they were made from a previous day, so I passed and walked over to the heated display case. One duck, one soy chicken and one pale holiday chicken were hanging on the hooks for display. When I inquired how this tastes, the male employee said "tastes like holiday chicken." Not very helpful, so I asked if it was the steamed chicken that is typically served with the green, ginger onion oil. He nodded. I paid $15.99 plus tax at the counter for HALF a holiday chicken to take home. I discovered it was cold and clearly not cooked fresh today. I wanted fresh vegetables and picked up baby bok choy from the produce department. There were no lines at two of the cashiers and they were talking. I'm fine with employees chatting at slow times but I'm not fine with them conversing during my cash transaction- it felt unprofessional. My cashier also couldn't calculate how much change to return to me- The correct amount was even displayed on the screen and she had some attitude. The steamed chicken was tasty once reheated and so was my bok choy after I stir fried it with garlic, Asian pepper, oyster sauce and a bit of corn starch. I understand that Asian grocery stores don't shine in the customer service department but today's experience has convinced me to shop at Lee Lee, HMart or Mekong from now on.

Yelp
So I went in by mistake looking for El Rancho Market to get some carne asada and found this little gem of a place. 99 Ranch Market, an Asian themed spot with groceries and a deli area as well. The people here were very nice and treated me like I was supposed to be there even though I kept asking for my Carne! Eventually one of the workers informed me that they could help me with some Asian delights which all looked delicious but that for Carne Asada I would have to try another spot. This store was very well stocked and it was very clean, I will define return.

Yelp
Great Asian grocery store with lots of great options, their hot deli is a good place to get dim sum, I like the happy hour 2-7pm, $3.99 dim sum. There's a bakery too, serving great selection of breads and cakes. They even have boba drinks with decent price.
google avatar

Yelp
This nice organized Asian market is the place to go for all Asian food products to rice cookers pots, and woks, it has a bakery as well. They have a food court from Korean to Chinese meals and my favorite is MOCHINUT donuts. The supermarket sits on the north west corner of Chandler Blvd. and Dobson "Anderson fiesta shopping center" with plenty of stores mostly eateries like Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Mexican food.
google avatar

Julia S.

Yelp
There are cheaper, cleaner and better options for asian grocery stores around the valley. If you're in the area and in a pinch, they'll likely have what you're looking for in stock, but I can't say it'll be the cheapest option. I've found that any time I ask for assistance, the workers aren't particularly helpful. On my last trip, one of the workers simply told me he doesn't understand English and instead walked over to chat with another coworker.

Yelp
I will 100% be frequenting 99 Ranch Market on the regular! The assortment of fish (what I go to Asian markets for) is on point! I got GIDDY when I saw their offerings!
google avatar

Betty L.

Yelp
99 Ranch has a variety of food. Lots of fish available for purchase. The store didn't smell like anything. This was good. Check out was pretty fast. I did have to wait a little bit for the cashier to explain something to a prior customer. They have some unique fruit for sale there. There is also a small food court where you can buy hot ready made food.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
I've been wanting to check out 99 Ranch Market and so glad I was able to stop in! It was pretty busy but they have so much yummy food! They have a deli to buy hot foods, fresh seafood, sushi etc. I was able to grab a few snacks and drinks the kids wanted and checkout was quick as they have self checkout lanes as well. I would stop in again next time I'm in the area!
google avatar

Denise M.

Yelp
I really like this Asian grocery store. It's not as big and overcrowded as H Mart, but still has a good selection of all the great products, including fresh seafood and produce. There is a food court, and a small section with housewares. Anyone who knows me knows that I love grocery stores (I visit grocery stores in every country I've been to), and I really like this one!
google avatar

Yelp
Here my 2c on the Ranch Market. The name is a little misleading. This is a large Oriental grocery store. Noodles noodles noodles I haven't spent enough time to see everything they carry but we do raid the packages on the noodles isle. So many types of noodles and brands. Last visit we grabbed some glass noodles, green noodles, wide noodles and vermicelli types as well. I'm working on homemade Thai noodle recipes and this store has everything you need! Best kept secret There is a large pastry section in front of the store with many unique sweet breads/pastries. We also tried the Ramen kitchen inside but weren't fond of their bowls. In general employees do not speak English so asking questions is a bit daunting and is my Mandarin Chinese . Last visit we planned correctly to allow time for Dinner at "A Ma's" next door. $$/$$$ depending on how big your eyes are. Love noodles, Ramen etc? Then stop in for your Pacific Rim shopping!

Yelp
They have a looot of variety of Asian Stuff, they also have 4 food stalls inside that serve chinese, japanese and korean cuisine as well as a bakery and a boba shop (dessert shop). We went on a weekend so we know that it was a lot of people. they also have a really good brank of rice cooker, they also have a variety of Buns. the ambiance was really asian. i love it. Definitely will come back again.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite grocery store. You could find many products from Asia in variety different countries. The store is very well organized and very clean. The staff may not seem friendly but they are very helpful and willing to help you when you needed. They also have a very good price sometimes for fruits and vegetables which sometime even cheaper then other Asian stores that I used to go. In store they also have a bakery shop and hot deli offer for you to try out as well. I did try dumplings there which is very good. If you are not sure which store to go for Asian groceries, check it out this one.

Yelp
Hey now my YELPies!!! I was on a little adventure for some spicy ramen and strolled on into this grocery store. May I just say... SO MUCH TO TRY!! Anywho.. I looked to my right and a small food court was happening and I had previously been told about the Mozzarella Hot Dog thingies . Well... much to my surprise there Mochinut was! So I happily ordered a Potato Hotdog and may I say it was DELICIOUS.. I will definitely order again. I also had a Strawberry Sparkling Ade, which wasn't so bad either. The customer service was gracious and kind and as quick as made to order can be. The area and grocery store was clean and well lit. Oh.. that Ramen? I never got any because I was side tracked with all the MOCHINUT goodness ‍. Sooo my YELPies, this visit proved to be a great one and I say... go try something new!!! Until next time.. HAVE A YELPin' GOOD TIME!

Yelp
Amazing selection of fresh and prepared meals. Get the fresh bakery items! I wish they had this place out on the East Coast.
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
This is a big market with lots of choices. The problem I had was I had no clue what most of the products were. I think it would be nice and fun to have someone there to show newbies what the products are and how to use them. It would make for a great field trip.. On the way out I did get a Korean hot dog covered in potato's with 2/2 cheese and 1/2 dog. I enjoyed it and would try maybe the Cheetos one next time. I also wanted to try their Mochi donut but you have to buy3,6, or 9.

Yelp
This Asian grocery store opened in Chandler in 2021. I like the unique items that they have and the fact that it's clean and does not smell like fish. Fresh produce, meat and seafood section. For the seafood section, they will cut and clean your purchase. The produce was fresh and the variety was excellent. They also have a bakery and a food court.
google avatar

Yelp
After watching Jet Tila's Asian cooking show Ready Jet Cook and salivating, I decided to go get some oyster sauce and premium chicken flavored bouillon powder to try to replicate some of his dishes. This Asian market is pretty similar to their competitors but I think they cater more to Chinese. You can pretty much find anything Asian here. They also have a bakery- I looked at the baked goods and didn't feel inspired. I think there are much better Asian bakeries around. They also have a deli you can buy Chinese combo plates, Bento Sama, and Mochinut. You can shop and get a meal or snack so it's very convenient. One major thing I did notice about this Asian market compared to others is that they charge a lot more for pretty much everything. I would only come back for convenience. They do have a lot of unique items like abalone, assorted fish balls you buy by the pound, live lobster and dungeness crab.
google avatar

Chantel Q.

Yelp
Such fun store to walk around, browse and of course to shop. They have quite the variety of grocery items. Check out went smoothly and she packaged everything so nice. Store is very well kept and clean. On the way out you can stop at their delicious bakery for some food/treats.

Yelp
Awwe shout out to Ngoc Le... what a sweetheart! Hey girl hey Never a bad experience here!!! I usually can get in and out! I enjoy my mini shopping here, since the products are similar to what I need and because, they are often having better prices on some of my condiments. I mainly stopped here for my fresh pineapple since their pineapple seem to taste sweeter than most. I still walk into this store, turning my head refraining from looking over to the right seeing the ducks hanging head down. So sad! This is enough to make you never want to eat chicken *or ducks) again. Sheesh!!! ‍ There's plenty of parking onsite. If you stop by tell Ngoc Le "hi" for me!

Yelp
I'm so happy we've finally stopped in . It was easy to find my favorite ice cream and a few ingredients that have become staples within our home . The service we experienced were friendly and the store was so clean and didn't have a that distinctive smell that most markets do . There's a few quick restaurant stands to order from that smelled and looked delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
I have only been here a handful of times. But each time that I have stopped in, I have had a pleasant experience. This area in Chandler has really drawn many great Asian stores and eateries in the past few years. I used to live down the street from here and bummed I'm farther away now. 99 ranch Market has a history that goes back to the 80's with locations in several states. This one is a little smaller than some of the other locations. It is probably why I like it. The store itself is very organized and less cluttered than most Chinese markets that I have been too. I like shopping in the prepared food section. I always find some good stuff there. There are also a few places to grab something to eat at in the food court section at the front of the store like Mochinut and a deli.
google avatar

Chen G.

Yelp
They always have things on sale and prices was good but they have worse Chinese hot deli in the world, this place try use all the cheap meat, fish and soaking in the baking soda water for long time to make them taste tender but they never rinse out, so taste bitter and fat, I give up the deli

Yelp
Seriously one of the coolest places I've been recently. 99 Ranch Market is an Asian Market in the building of a closed down Target. You can tell by the "Target Balls" in front, now worn down to a beige color. There's so many layers to this market. There's a food corner on the right section of the market, with 3 or 4 restaurants. It reminded me of a mall or airport eating area. I didn't try any, but they smelled very good. The market is about the size of a Fry's Grocery Store. There's rows of rows of everything Asian and even some typical American ingredients. Ramen, boba, freshly made bao buns, giant jackfruit, whole ducks with heads still on (ew), squid's, etc. It was really fun to see more of the Asian culture and find some interesting finds. The prices are honesty, the same or even lower than a Fry's or Safeway. Our checker, Audrey, was a total sweetheart. 10/10

Yelp
In my opinion this Asian grocery store has a wide variety of products, which makes it easy to shop here when looking for different Asian ingredients. I've eaten at the small BBQ place in the food court and absolutely adore their two to three meat combos for lunch! Everytime I stop by I always get their spicy marinated cold meats I buy atleast two boxes, they're in the cooler around the corner from the food court. By far my favorite item to buy and eat. Don't get their marinated duck wings though, no flavor. Although I have noticed that some items are a tad more expensive than other places, but freshness and quality definitely makes up for it. 99 is also pretty clean, staff is nice and helpful, and there's no weird odor like some Asian markets have, so that's a plus.

Yelp
99 Ranch Market in Chandler AZ is likeable for a number of reasons. Of the 5 local oriental markets this is by far the most friendly and willing to help. It is very well stocked and maintained. Sale items are well stocked. The mix of things sold is wide and competively priced. The fresh produce, meat and fish fresh and frozen are excellent. Sale items are substantial savings. Good restrooms. Plenty of parking. Roast duck and other restaurant offerings are good. Convenient hours. Although high volume business it is clean, not noisy and you won't feel crowded. It originally had plenty of cashiers and still does. I appreciate basic shopping. No self checkout, coupons, or digital deals all of which I dislike. Checkout is quick and simple. The isles are wide. Shopping carts are all in good repair. They answer the phone and then assist in a pleasant efficient manner. For me no atmosphere is desirable. I am not aware of any surveys and prefer this. The weekly adds on my mobile are the simplest to navigate. As you enter the market there are well organized sign board weekly specials that start Fridays. You won't see 100s of Sale items. That is simpler and might indicate that their regular pricing is not typically overpriced. Ice availability during hot weather is inadequate. I use an ice chest in my vehicle due to living a couple of towns away. The one minor thing is more than set off by the exemplary market.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
This is my favorite go-to Asian Supermarket. I can get my favorite Chinese snacks and drinks, sauces, vegetables, frozen foods, and desserts. The bakery is pretty good and I always buy some on my way out. The Square that it's in has lots of restaurants and drink and dessert places, like 85C, MeetFresh, Kura Sushi, Somi Somi, Daiso and Teso. It's like a one stop shop for everything Asian.
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first time visiting 99 Ranch Market. I normally visit Lee Lee International. I found this location to be clean and modern. While they stocked more high end items, I didn't find they had more selection than Lee Lees, just different things. They did not have any mint on hand, which was a disappointment as I needed it for a recipe. Their lotus root was picked over, it was hard to find many good pieces left. I found produce was hit and miss, either really good and fresh or on the verge of spoilage. They had some higher end produce, but prices were astronomical on them. They only have a handful of ready made foods as part of the grocery store, but also beyond the checkout area there are several hot food vendors. I didn't really feel like ordering and waiting around for the hot food vendors and opted to grab some steamed buns and sticky rice. The sticky rice and BBQ pork bun were classic and exactly what you'd expect. The steamed pork and vegetable bun was on the more juicy side and equally delicious. Overall a good experience, but not as good value price wise as their competitors.
google avatar

Honey K.

Yelp
I normally shop at Lee Lee's because of my preferred selections but I come here for specials and fresh bao's to heat at home. They have an in-store bakery also that carries Korean bread and pastries and a food court that has MochiNut, Korean-dog, chicken and ramen.

Yelp
Love coming here for pozole and menudo on the weekends. Everything is fresh and yummy. I've also used them for catering services. Authentic Mexican food at its finest.

Yelp
The best, cleanest, newest, stocked Ranch 99 I've ever been to. Makes me want to live in Chandler. Full bakery (though I'd probably go to 85 degrees next door), restaurant stalls, and so many brands.

Yelp
Only 3.5 stars here? I didn't read the lower starred reviews but I just went yesterday and I had a great experience there. It's super clean, bright, and no fish smell. Which is basically my bar for how enjoyable an experience is at an Asian market. Doesn't mean it's the cheapest or has the most types of items, but for me it's pleasant to shop in. The staff were friendly when I checked out. I am Filipino and going to various Asian markets is something I've done my whole life, here in US and in Philippines itself, so I've been to many. And this new trend of having "fancy", beautiful, and uber clean establishments such as H-Mart and Ranch 99 is a nice upgrade. Don't get me wrong, there are bigger Asian markets in Mesa that are good in their own right and I highly enjoy those as well :) but I like the fancy ones best lol. However if I'm looking for specific ingredients for a dish from a particular culture, then I know I might need to check elsewhere. It appears that this market is predominantly Korean? If not correct, my bad! It just reminds me a lot of H-mart and I know they are mainly Korean influenced. I haven't been to a Ranch 99 in a few years since living in cali, so I went in even though I didn't need anything in particular. I found some great buys and I look forward to going back when they have their food court open. At home for dinner I cooked up a spicy miso soup with fresh noodles, tofu, Bok Choi, seaweed, and egg. It was delicious! I also tried a package of the tteokbokki, added some cheese on top. Really yummy!

Yelp
Drove down to Chandler since everything was closed in Phoenix on Xmas and found loads of fresh food and groceries. Pricing compared to SoCal appears to be better; I found live Dungeness crabs for 8.99 lb, Yao choy for 1.69, and other fav food items at a good price. Another standout thing about this location is the hot food court, there are a couple to choose from... plus a mochinut vendor. Also, this location is part of a shopping mall that includes an 85° shop and a few more restaurants down the parking lot. One helpful aspect of this spot is the chinese bbq shop in the food court. It has some solid ready to eat chinese food and really good bbq. The roasted duck is a must get, it is better than most average bbq in the SGV back in Cali. It was the one thing that everyone in line ordered, so the long line of regulars from the area was a good sign. This was my first visit to this location and I am impressed. It is fairly large, compared to SoCal, this is a a mid-size store bigger than the smaller 99 Ranch Markets. So, inventory was solid with a great selection. The produce section is outstanding, all the choy I bought was fresh and required little washing and trimming/prep for cooking. If you are in the Mesa or surrounding cities, this store is a must go. It will provide options you can't find at traditional markets like Frys, Safeway, and etc.

Yelp
The good is I found everything I was looking for, however back in the seafood department none of the employees there seem to don't understand or speak English. They only communicate with hand gestures & they don't always get what the customer wants. Example, I wanted to find out about their fresh fish, no one understood what I was trying to get across and I couldn't find any or at least 1 employee who knows or understands English to translate, so I gave up & left not very happy. To me that's poor customer service. The store should at least have 1 or two employees who knows & understands English to translate. So going forward I would not recommend anyone who doesn't speak foreign language of that clientele. From 1-10 one being poor & 10 being excellent I rate that store a 1. Very poor in customer service.

Yelp
The portions were smaller than panda express and they lacked flavor. I was expecting so much more being that this restaurant is Asian Plaza filled with restaurants. I think we will stick to panda express. The fried rice was just plain white rice with steamed peas and carrots in it. The noodles were very bland and had very little vegetable in them. The orange chicken was dry and the Kung pow chicken that was supposed to be spicy did not have much of a kick to it.

Yelp
We love jackfruit and when one of our friends said they have it in stock, we had to go visit. As we entered the first thought Was it's one of the cleanest Asian market we have been to. The options are limitless and categorized so good. Be it the meat section, seafood, groceries, snacks, fresh produce, everything labeled well and easy to find. Loved the in store bakery and the fresh items they sold. We landed up buying so many things and enjoyed them too. Our favorite was the Hong Kong egg tart, almond cake and the green tea pastry. Can't wait to try more. Wish there were more fresh produce but that didn't stop us from shopping here.

Yelp
I purchased a bag of cherries from the Chandler store at special price of $2.99 a lb yesterday. However, over half of the cherries are spoiled to the point that there is a strong ammonia smell when I open the bag today. ( I was wearing a mask at the time when I shopped at the store. It is unacceptable, and I bet the high spoil rate could be due to the fact that they may mix the good ones with the spoiled ones. Next time, I will be more vigilant when shop at this store.

Yelp
They got me at, "Do you want to try?" It was our first time exploring this location, and I was surprised at the variety and freshness of everything. This location is super clean, with isle titles which make it easy to find what you need. I was extremely impressed by the staff, who were knowledgeable about their sections, helpful, and polite. We perused the fish section to get an idea of what is offered and the freshness. My partner struck up a conversation with one of the fish guys and before we knew it we were sold on the lobster. The deal was remarkable, $9.99 a pound Maine lobster which was delivered that morning. They steamed and wrapped it up for us (20 minute wait to steam). We opted to wait for dinner to crack into it, and boy was it worth it! Perfectly cooked, sweet, and fresh. It was a nice, unexpected treat. The produce section offers a great variety of pears, mushrooms, and root vegetables. One of the produce ladies helped me find the perfect persimmon and gave me recommendations on how to eat/prepare it. It was a fantastic shopping experience and we will definitely be returning more often to take advantage of their remarkable deals.

Yelp
I've frequented 99 ranch multiple times. This place has a mini food court which includes the Chinese dim sum, Peking duck, cold chicken, a mochi donut, bento and a Korean stall. One time I tried to order the Kimbap but those were not ready until after 1pm. That was too bad. This grocery store is mostly Chinese based foods where you can many hot pot goodies for those hot pot nights, some sweet and savory snacks which we all love; there are ready to eat cold foods that just need to be heated up and some that are good cold. Most items are Chinese but I have seen Korean, American and Japanese items as well. Each aisle is neatly organized and clean. I've been to California 99 ranch where it was super dirty looking. The produce doesn't have all of the regular fruits that you'd want to see like blueberries and strawberries from what I remember. They have special Korean strawberries that costed around $10 for maybe 12 strawberries. Very yum but so costly. But it's nice to try select unique fruits and veggies you don't see in American groceries. There is an area with live seafood for fresh eats. Oh and there is a bakery that has fresh bread, drinks and desserts like the next door famous 85 degree bakery. If you can't get 85 degrees then this is a great option and just steps away. This grocery store does membership however I'm not sure they did mine correct because I have not received any mailers from them - only when they first opened. Overall, clean place and a good to place for groceries specialized mostly in Asian foods.

Yelp
Being a huge fan of Asian food, I frequent this place often. I stock up on the fixings for homemade curries, gyoza, spring rolls, noodles and stir fry's. Nice assortment of products from different regions and some distinct products such as fresh jackfruit, Thai basil, all sorts of cabbage, bok choy, peppers, fresh ginger.... They also provide a good assortment of spices like curry powder and turmeric. They also have a good bakery assortment but unfortunately upon opening not everything was out for purchase. Twas okay as 85 degrees bakery next door was open with an abundance of selections. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the coconut bread that thankfully was in stock at 99 ranch market. I can't go here without buying at least one round! So good. Not overly sweet, not overly coconutty (although that would be fine too), just a perfect doughy goodness with slivered almonds atop to accompany a good cup of coffee.

Yelp
Definitely, the place to go for fresh produce, seafood and anything that you need for your Asian cuisine. They have their own bakery inside the store, and you can get hot food from their food stalls inside, as well. Check out is fast. Store is clean and organized, Staff is really friendly. Definitely recommending this market, if you're looking for fresh seafood.

Yelp
It's a big Asian supermarket that sells a variety of things: snacks, drinks, sauces, meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables, and much more! Inside this supermarket, there's food courts and they sell bread too!

Yelp
This location has a unique array of hot food options and a bakery inside. I ended up finding some yummy hot shrimp and cabbage dumplings to try. They also had some fresh meat, fish, and shellfish which was a nice find. I would love to go back and try some bakery items next time, they look delicious.

Yelp
This place is much smaller than similar 99 Ranch Markets in California. Prices are ok but not cheap. They do have a decent selection of Asian pastries (see photo) They do have some prepared food options inside with some dim sum and bbq but some of the places were closed due to Covid. Overall ok if you know what Asian type ingredient you are specifically looking for and cannot find anywhere else. But the selection seems smaller than LeeLee which is a couple miles North.

Yelp
3.5 stars. This 99 Ranch Market was a familiar Asian grocery store to us and we came here to buy some meat along with other ingredients. The parking lot was big and there was plenty of space. The refrigerator where the meat was supposed to be was broken on our first trip here. They were repairing it so we couldn't buy meat. The isles were clean and organized from what I saw. We came back multiple times and things were better than the very first time we were here. There would be days where it would be very crowded and other days where it was the opposite. It just really depended on the day of the week. We'll be back when we shop!

Yelp
We kind of stumbled on this Asian grocery store as we came by to check out 85 degree Bakery (line was way too long) and we are so glad we stopped in! I am familiar with Mekong and Lee Lee's, however, I will say that 99 Ranch definitely caters more to the Chinese grocery shopper vs at other Asian grocery stores. Lunar New Year is right around the corner and many goods have already come in to celebrate including red, auspicious hanging decorations and many different kinds of common Chinese snacks eaten around Lunar New Year. We were really excited to see all these goodies. Ready made food available for purchase inside the grocery store and I was able to find Shanghai-style zhongzi (2 for $8.99). Zhongzi are basically Chinese-style tamales, wrapped in bamboo leaves with all kinds of filings. Some are sweet and others savory. Shanghai-style has pork belly, peanuts and egg yolk inside. I can report back that these zhongzis are legit! Pretty big size also! I just steamed one for dinner now and fully satisfied and will be back to buy more soon! There are also great specials/sales that happen here so check out the sale items that are featured right before check out and also throughout the store especially on the end caps. I am deducting one star because we noticed their tea selection was pretty limited. My partner and I both love barley tea and we could not find any for sale here. The other reason I deducted a star is because a lot of times there are specials and contests available at other 99 Ranch stores, however, currently this location in Phoenix doesn't participate. I hope this changes as I really enjoy their specials like featured Taiwanese foods or snacks! Overall, a clean, organized Asian supermarket with decent prices, some great specials/sales weekly, delicious prepared food items and definitely caters more to Chinese groceries! Check it out, you will be back...like me!

Yelp
I'm still new to the Phoenix area however, super thankful I bought a property in bougie Chandler where there's a brand new Asian market like 99 Ranch. I grew up where the original 99 Ranch opened in Southern California. So you could say my expectations should be pretty high for this location, however, because of the 5+ years I spent living in the Seattle area, the Asian markets there to me are subpar and I actually became accustomed to that subpar experience. I know, shame on my Viet Pride self. So upon walking into 99 Ranch, I was just thankful how many types of Vietnamese products they carried AND they had one of those Taiwanese style bakeries right inside (think 85C). If you love Asian food and also love cooking Asian cuisine, you cannot go wrong with this market. I can't wait until they open up the other restaurants right next door to the market, I'm not sure if it'll be an extension of the market or they'll be neighboring it. I think that'll be such a bonus on top of the "food court" that they have inside which I don't think is actually open yet. Every time I've been there, the only spot that is open is the meat and dim sum deli. This market actually makes me miss Arizona that much more when I'm living part-time in SoCal again right now.

Yelp
4.5/5 Luckily, at this grand opening weekend I didn't see 99 luftballons at this 99 Ranch Market. Nor did I need to stock up to add 99 bottles of beer on the wall but I'm sure had I wanted to they'd have it! Another Asian grocery store opening up in the East Valley? Woohoo! I love it! You could say it's more like the reopening since 99 Ranch used to be in Phoenix years back. They have all the requisite Asian goods, with various produce, frozen supplies, fresh food, and your obligatory tanks filled with live critters for consumption. Prices varied. The sales they had here for the grand opening were excellent, such as $.49/lb Chinese eggplant, and they had some unique items I had never seen before such as watermelon with yellow rind. Other prices were competitive with other stores or slightly higher. Another cool perk is the frozen pick your own soup protein balls/tofu (Beef balls, crab, fish, etc). The baos and zongzi in the freshly prepared foods section looked so good. I took home some Cantonese style zongzi, it tastes like homemade! I'd definitely get it again and want to try the Taiwanese style zongzi. They have a frequent customer card that you can sign up for free. In addition to the grocery store they have a hot foods, vegetarian foods, and bakery flanking the market. I'm so glad 99 is back!

Yelp
"I got 99 problems but a Ranch Market ain't one." ― Jon H., National Thug Welcome back, 99 Ranch Market! For those of you old enough to remember, we use to have a 99 Ranch Market in Phoenix. Now it's their second chance here in the Valley of the Sun and boy do I wish them well! Today is their grand opening! I don't remember too much about the original Phoenix location but this Chandler location is nice. It's clean and organized with a huge selection of awesome goods. I was here during their soft opening and had lots of fun perusing their items. All the items had their labels facing outwards too so it was nice on the eyes. From baos to zongzi, Calpico to Vitasoy, Magnolia ube ice cream to Tiger Sugar boba bars, they have it all. Their focus is on Chinese goods so have a ball! They have some hot BBQ deli items, a vegetarian stall, and a bakery so if you feel peckish before, during, or after shopping, you're only steps away from a roast duck platter or a hot dog bun. I don't know what you like so do you. Don't forget to sign up for their frequent shoppers card.
