Managed to stop by during the grand opening. Very nice store! Set up easily, clearly visible signage and excellent layout making it easy to navigate and understand products. Many were import items and they ensure information was clear and available. A bit odd to see dead fish in the fresh tanks but I understand hiccups happen in those first few weeks. Prices were quite reasonable even with imported goods!

A chain store featuring Asian items. They have large produce and meat departments that carry items not found in a regular grocery store. There is a large parking lot. They have carts or baskets for shopping. They have a small vending area as you enter similar to a gatchapon

It is great that 99 Ranch Market opens a location in SE Portland. Love the cleanliness of the this Asian grocery store. Great selection of fresh produce, live seafood, and dry goods. Will be back again and again to shop for all our Asian foods.

Went to 99 ranch up here in Portland metro off I 205, in the "Mall 205 shopping plaza". I have been to 99 Ranch before in Washington and in Portland so the size here is adequate for the area and compared to the other asian markets off 82nd ave. Some stores in Washington are bigger but there's just enough for what you need! There is a bakery, meat department and see food department. The seafood was either fresh or freshly put on ice after being slaughtered. It was pretty busy at 12pm on Saturday when my family and I went. There signs displayed for the $20 off coupons are for x2 $10 off $35+ order for online pickup / delivery only, I was mislead from the sign. I will obviously use them before the three weeks are up when you sign up as a first time user. I have to use my coupon before 10/17/25. The lady at check out felt rushed and was trying to get me to pay asap get the line going and I missunderstood the coupons as in store coupons The senior discount is on Tuesdays. I didn't read the fine print, but the discount sign was only at the register, no where else. I still highly recommend you all go here.I was just throwing off about the coupons and the discounts.

I’m happy Plaza 205 has a big tenant since that area looked deserted for a long time. My crew got there at 8:50am and waited in line. I didn’t see or hear no lion dance at 9am. That was disappointing since they advertised it. No hot food and some baked/steamed goods. The supermarket looked small, but organized. Staff were friendly. Meat was pricey, compared to Hong Phat. I loved their selection of produce and snacks. I’ll be back again. Looking forward to the other tenants moving in the area.

Brand new Ranch 99 market that is closer and much easier to get to from the Vancouver side! Before the only Ranch 99 in Beaverton was always a pain to drive to! Spacious isles . As of now it’s clean, tidy and organized. I sincerely hope the management will keep this up!

Pretty good experience, staff were really kind. Prices were kinda overprice, could find better prices in other places but a good variety of things to choose from. would definitely come back again for the ice cream! Yes, there were no bakery at all.

Huge and clean new Asian store. It doesn’t have cooked food like the Beaverton store but hopefully that’s a future plan. Everything you need is here from healthy & beauty to fish to ramen to produce.

Overall - Finally, another 99 Ranch Market in the Portland area! Location - Conveniently less than a mile from I-205, with plenty of parking in a plaza shared with spots like The Alley and Ten Seconds Noodles. Experience - I've been to many 99 Ranch Markets, from LA to San Diego to Beaverton. Without a doubt, this is the smallest one I've ever visited, but I think they're aiming to create a slightly different experience here. That said, they've made great use of the space. Even though the store feels smaller, the selection is nearly identical to the Beaverton location. The main differences are the absence of a hot deli and a larger bakery.

I think I was expecting a lot more in terms of hot or deli food, for which there's none on this Sunday. But, as far as Asian groceries goes, it's clean, big selection, really nice produce and they have pretty much whatever you need. I will say, there are a lot of Asian markets around and this doesn't make it on a must-go-list for me. It's also smaller than it appears. I did like the sample carts of fruit and jellies they had going though. Lots of parking and easy to get in and out.

This new location provides convenient access to the NE residents to decent Asian grocery. The size is not as big as in Beaverton, but nevertheless a good addition to the local area. My favorite is always the fresh seafood part. I again picked a crab and let them help cook it right there. Took it home and ready to eat. Very convenient. They also clean fish that is bought. Tip: get your seafood orders in if you needed extra handling, and get a ticket for your order, then go shopping for other things. When done, come back to pick up your ready to go seafood.

I'm so excited my favorite grocery store now has a Portland location! 99 Ranch Market is a one-stop-shop for everything Asian and imported food products, as well as local meat and produce. Also, check out the freshly prepared foods and baked goods produced on site. Opening day is a zoo, so beware. There are tents erected in the parking lot for the hundreds of people waiting for their turn to shop. With free apples for shoppers, balloons and costumed characters, there's lots of excitement for those interested... and for the rest of us... how exciting this underserved section of Portland now has new grocery store with a robust selection of offerings. The newness will wear off, then quick visits to the market will possible. Yay!

Yesterday's Grand Opening, we finally stopped here, after seeing it on TV. The large tent, for the rain, that never showed, was still there. There's a huge line to the check-out! They have their own brand of bakery goods. I was expecting a market-like Safeway or Fred Meyer, instead I found a huge Asian Market. It's an out-of state market with many products like pastries, all shipped out of California. I hope it doesn't take business away from our mom & pop Asian markets. The price didn't seem to be that great, except for a few (produce that we found specials for the GO), we probably won't be back very often. The seafood: people are buying large crab, and in Oregon right now, it's not crab season. So, where are they being shipped from? The meat department, a big line there, too!

Promising new market in SE Portland. Hope this branch expands to include some of the features (such as a hot food bar) other 99 Ranch Markets around the country have. Still, an impressive array of offerings, particularly vegetables and frozen goods. Wide variety of fruits and leafy greens. Excellent service at the live seafood counter. Our order was promptly cleaned and fried, and was delicious. On a second visit we sampled the to-go sashimi plate (which featured salmon, tuna, and octopus) and some grilled eel (unagi). The unagi was excellent. Sashimi only good. Busy store, lots to explore at future visits. Still, the lack of a more fully developed 99 Ranch Market experience will disappoint many who come to this store.

I have been waiting for this to open like FOR-EVER! I am so excited to have a 99 Ranch Market closer to me instead of driving 45 mins or so. Of course, I went on Grand Opening day because you know FOMO. I had to see what they had and join in on the excitement. Yes, we waited forever to get in, but I shouldn't expect less because they had promos and what not. After we got in, the place was well decorated, felt small because the store's layout was more of a rectangle. I definitely didn't see everything I wanted because there were a lot of people shopping and waiting in line to pay. However, I did get a chance to roam up and down a few aisles. I picked up a few items that were on sale, otherwise the prices were a bit high for me. They have a small selection of everything; fruits/veggies, seafood, frozen - basically, a mini version of the market. No, they do not have a fresh bakery area or a hot food section at the moment. I think it's great that we have one here, but I do not think they will carry everything since the store is on the smaller side. I have not gone back yet since I am waiting for the excitement to calm down. Last I heard, there were still long lines at the registers. On the bright side, the parking lot is huge and parking is free.

I was so happy they opened one on the east side finally!! The parking lot is pretty big considering it is a complex nearby other storefronts. The store itself seems big upon walking in, but the overall store itself isn't actually that big especially in comparison to the 99 ranch in the west side. They have a great selection of fish cakes and meat, though, and the price is fair for how much meat in the bones compared to our other east side Asian grocery markets. They had a lot of deals going on too! Their bakery area is still pretty underdeveloped. wasn't a ton of options of baked goods there. Service was fine, adequate. There are a decent amount of cashiers and baggers there to help you.

I have been an avid Yelper for the past eight years, writing around 200 reviews in my initial couple years. If I remember correctly I have refrained promoting any of my associated businesses. But I am about to change that today with this newly opened 99 Ranch in Portland. This 99 Ranch took four years to plan and realize. At one point it died and we were looking for a substitute as we were able to secure another anchor tenant, Teso Life, in order to compliment an Asian grocer here. 99 Ranch chairman, who is a partner here, re-committed to this location and we are finally opened, ahead of our revised schedule- October 2025. To highlight things to come, Teso Life (equivalent of Miniso) will open at the end of this year. We have dim sum restaurant committed to opening next door. To some reviewers' disappointments, their expected items will be slowly but surely rolled out in the months to come. Plaza 205 will definitely be the vibrant Asian community shopping hub you come to expect at some of 99 Ranch locations.

Very spacious and neatly organized, another great addition to the neighborhood. The products range from fresh vegetables and fruits to a meat and seafood deli, where they will prepare and Cook for you. We took home some amazing hotpot for 2 bowls that were very tasty and filling. Affordable and they have a loyalty program. Will be back for specialty items.

Clean and spacious, however, their products are priced noticeably higher than their competitors in the area. They had good sales during the grand opening, but I have not seen many good sales since.

We experience the craziness of the second day this market was open. There was a line outside to get in, so many people wanted to get in that they were queuing it up. Once we got in, it looked like your standard Asian market. We did a bit of shopping, and ultimately ended up dropping our groceries and just walking out because the lines to the checkout were so long we couldn't wait any longer. Maybe I'll try again in a month or two.

99 Ranch is a pretty nice Asian market. It is very clean and doesn't smell like most Asian grocery stores. The produce was super fresh and looked really good with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. They had the viral Propitious Mango and peach ice creams. I was really happy to find that ice cream. I was trying to purchase a box of noodles and when I checked out, they didn't know how much the box of noodles were priced, so they asked me if they can open my box of noodles to scan one and I didn't want my box opened so I said no. In the end, one of the workers found the barcode for to scan for my box of noodles, but it took about 10 minutes of me waiting, which I didn't care too much for. This is a pretty solid Asian grocery store to go to. I'm sure the barcode scan was due to it being new still.

The good: it's super clean! (Only a week old will do that) they have a decent fresh noodles selection. Lots of frozen fish ball options. But that is kind of it, having spent decades in CA shopping at many 99ranch stores, and now waiting about 2 years for this one to actually open... and hearing it was going to be a "super" ranch of some sort, I'm thoroughly disappointed. It simply doesn't live up to the precedent of what 99Ranch is! Even in comparison to the Tigard/Beaverton store (which is lackluster compared to every California store I've been in) to the extent of having me really confused! Fish cake and fake crab options are few, the dish wear and kitchen goods aisle is very lacking, the fresh fish counter is about 1/2 the expected size, the prices seem really high (although it's been a few years since I've shopped a Ranch and inflation/tariffs at play) it just seems... quite small; and the biggest immediate disappointment.... No hot food bar. I've been waiting 2 years for a walk up dim sum lunch counter of those jumbo dumplings I've missed so much! Is it just that east Portland won't support the sort of shopper base that a REAL 99Ranch would need to be successful? If you've never been to a 99Ranch please go and enjoy, if you're a California transplant excited to have 99Ranch again; be prepared to be a bit sad.

Really impressed with the seafood and meat section. The store here is smaller than the west side, no deli or premade dim sum. It took an hour to get into the door at grand opening.

The place is totally inconsistent. They advertise things they don't actually have. They won't answer their phones so you can't check and see if something's there. The customer service is horrible. They've tried to overcharge me three of the five times I was there and not by a little. If it's close it's good for some small things, but in general stay away

They never answer the phone calls, no matter what time you called! No customer service at all.

This sprawling market, the first 99 Ranch in Portland, has a large selection of fresh seafood and Asian-friendly cuts of meat. But there are some serious oversights: no Ota Tofu (c'mon, this is Portland); no Chinese or Japanese eggplant, only the globe variety; and no fresh mochi like you can get at Umajimaya, which requires a drive to Beaverton (I resorted to buying shelf-stable mochi in a box). And as others have noted, there is no deli with hot food.

The store is new so it's clean. No food court and fresh bakery Section. Also most items sold there are pricey.
