99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant Abu Dhabi

This is the spot where I celebrated my birthday this year — and what a choice it turned out to be. I’ve been searching for a place that serves sushi at the level I enjoy at UMI Atlanta, and this restaurant not only met that standard but honestly exceeded it. From the quality and freshness of the sushi to the exceptional service, everything was top tier. You can taste how fresh the fish is, and the attention to detail really shows. I’ve been on the hunt for truly great sushi, and this place delivered on every level. It’s no surprise they’ve earned Michelin star recognition — and for very good reason. Had an incredible dining experience at Sushi99 at the Four Seasons Abu Dhabi. We tried the wagyu sliders, a wide variety of sushi and sashimi, and several other dishes — everything was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The atmosphere is amazing, elegant yet vibrant, making it perfect for a relaxed evening or a special night out. The desserts were also excellent, a perfect finish to a superb meal. Overall, Sushi99 delivers on quality, creativity, and ambiance. Highly recommended! 🍣✨

99 Sushi is located within the Four Seasons hotel - an "epitome of modern luxury". I arrived without a booking and gladly sat at the sushi counter. It was the only option offered and while I was fine with it I think a table could have been offered too. The food was gastronomic! The service was friendly and efficient. ...a great experience to remember and repeat at the next opportunity.

I believe I had the best Japanese food in Abu Dhabi. The view of the Abu Dhabi skyline gave the place a fantastic atmosphere. I loved the food it was very tasty. Well done! We were very well looked after the whole evening. It was a 10/10 experience.

I came all the way from my city just to have lunch here, and overall it was a worthwhile experience. Great service, good food, and a nice ambiance. The view could have been better, as the windows were a bit close with curtains. The only downside for me was the 99 Sando (Katsu Sando), the beef was excellent, but the sauce was overwhelming with strong garlic/onion powder notes, I tried away better than this in AD/Dubai. The lobster salad and the sushi was really good and definitely the highlight of the meal.

We came to this restaurant with high expectations with the pressure of having a Michelin star. Boy did it deliver! The food was fantastic. The various sushi dishes were up to par with any other restaurant Ive been to. Forget the numerous Japanese Peruvian fusion nonsense around the UAE. This place is uniquely fantastic. We were a group of 8 and tried many dishes, from cooked to raw. Service was outstanding, despite how unorganized and chaotic our table was. Highly recommended. The only criticism would be how quiet the restaurant was. Ambience could use a pickup.

Was attracted to the ‘One ⭐️ Michelin’ sign and decided to give this place a try. We were the only table on a weekend afternoon. Nice ambience. Service was good but with a hint of arrogance - cos it’s a ‘One ⭐️ Michelin’ restaurant? 🤔 Ordered some dishes and was initially ‘wowed’ by the delicate and fancy food plating - again.. cos it’s a ‘One ⭐️ Michelin’ restaurant? 🤔 Was reading through the past reviews and this caught my attention, “But without any exaggeration, the cheapest conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Japan or even the ones they sell in convenient stores taste way better than what they serve here.” Among all the dishes we ordered, the Yakimeshi fried rice was the one that is truly delightful. The taste and texture of the rice was amazing! 🤩 The other dishes were just prepared with good fresh ingredients with a twist of culinary artistry. If this is just a normal Japanese Sushi restaurant, I will be back for more even without the fanciful dish presentation. And thus quoting, “With this price, I would rather recommend you to buy a flight ticket to Tokyo and go to any random sushi place. Thank me later.” And I strongly concur. ありがとう!

It's always an amazing experience at 99 sushi. We came for the business lunch. I think it has some of the best flavors I've had in Abu Dhabi. I'm not quite sure about the Michelin star, some of the rice in the sushi was undercooked, and the beef wasn't cut well Each dish was excellent and a privilege to get to eat. The business lunch is a great deal. I'd def recommend you to try it out!
