Corima Restaurant Is Opening From a Contra Alum - Eater NY
"99 Cent Pizza is dropping its price after a hike in 2022, when 99 Cent Pizza increased its slices to $1.50, despite the name. As of Monday, 99-cent slices are back at 246 E. 14th Street, between Second and Third avenue." - Emma Orlow
for 1$ pizza, surprisingly, it was very tasty! the classic cheese pizza, hot from the oven, a lot of people were passing by, grabbing 2-3 slices, paying, eating, and moving forward, that guaranteed new slices of 🍕 pizza right out of the oven. was actually pretty good.

Set your expectations low for this under $1 dining experience and you won't be disappointed. I've sampled several low budget 99c to $1.50 NYC slices and this place on 14th is one of the better ones. Good crunch and fills the void. Service/Atmosphere: you order, pay, get the slice on a paper plate, and get out - again set your expectations low. Beware: I chose the "$1 to $10" spend per person because there isn't a $0.01-0.99 category.

a fresh dollar slice will beat a warmed up, 30 minute old $5 every time. so blessed in the year of our lord 2025 to be able to still buy a dollar slice.

$1 slices are still alive! Of course the cheese won’t taste like much but just heap on a bunch of Parmesan and it will make up for it. And again, it is $1, so a very good deal.

This is the worst dollar cheese slice I’ve had so far. Absolutely lacking any kind pizza flavor. It tasted like bad mozzarella and sauce on top of warm Wonder bread.

So I was on the run around lunch time, and their 99 cent pizza sign caught my eye, and I was pleasantly surprised with a thin crust crispy and fresh and not very oily cheese slice, with some good tomatoe sauce, and their available hot sauce and oregano and parm cheese was really good. I will for sure be back at this place again to try out their vegetarian menu.

You know what? This is actually good for the price. I'm a little blown away. If it had just a bit more sauce, it might enter "very good" territory. But then it would not be 99¢...

Just opened on 14th st. Really small store. We aren’t going to zone in too much on taste in this review. The plain slice is a dollar. This isn’t the best slice you ever had. It gets the job done though. Guy was nice. Lots of toping options ($1 extra per topping). Small can of soda is 1 dollar too. Can beat those savings if you are just looking for a quick bite.
4 stars from me. Not the best and not the worst. Good experience and will be going back soon

Yelp
Really good and fresh pizza and it's a great option when you want good cheap pizza. The service is decent, It arrives fast and it's a great option if you're in the area!

Yelp
Thin crust with a nice sauce and just enough cheese that makes this .99 cent joint pretty decent.
Just another grab and go spot for when you're craving a slice, or need a quick cheap meal.
Specialty slices are just $2. Mozzarella sticks and chicken wings among other snacks offered.
Cold drinks in the fridge and an ATM on site if you need some cash.

Yelp
Got mozzarella sticks and they were ROCK hard. And cracked. They tasted like mold and b00tyyole

Yelp
It's not bad. Not the best 99 cent pizza I've ever had, but brace yourself, yes, in 2022 it is still 99 cent pizza. So that deserves accolades alone. I ended up getting a plain cheese and a white slice after a drunken night out a few months ago. Not too much extra for a different pie slice. It's right in the prime area of east 14th street. Been around forever. Not too greasy. Not too puny for a cheap slice. All around one of the better ones.

Yelp
I can't believe I am giving 4 stars for a 99 cents pizza joint but this 14th st off 3rd Ave ain't bad and from the no crumbs left my work staff will agree . A slice is 99 cents, topping slice 2 bucks , wings , sandwiches, pasta dishes. Cookies, etc, and the poor man's prices can't be beat. 2 large pies , 14 wings , 2 pasta dishes and 12 cookies cost me less then 40 bucks and I will admit it was really good .I only had 2 slices and a few cookies so I can't cosign for the wings and pasta but my slacker staff sucked it all down and nothing was left and every one seemed happy. I take back whatever negative statements I have made in the past about 99 cents pizza shops and if spending 40 bucks for lunch makes my workers happy and do actual work then count me in.
