"Located inside the emblematic MASP, on basement level two of a building housing the largest collection of European art in Latin America. The Minas Gerais-born chef Manuelle Ferraz, originally from Almenara, not far from the border with Bahia (the region from which the restaurant takes its name), is at the helm of this second Baianeira restaurant, following the success of the first venture in the district of Barra Funda. In this relaxed and simple setting decorated with artisanal pieces from around Brazil, the traditional cooking features redefined flavours in dishes that showcase excellent technique and refinement. To start, why not try the delicious “pão de queijo”, a recipe that has been with the chef since she first started out. Among the main courses, we recommend the traditional “baião de dois” (black-eyed peas with rice) with mouthwatering braised meat, and make sure you save space for the unmissable plantain crème brûlée. Daily specials are also available." - Michelin Inspector

The vibes and the aesthetic we’re so top-notch. I had some sort of rendition of roast beef rested in an amazing purée. Was delicious! Dont skip out on the pour infront of you coffee at the end. Will forsure be back!

The food was absolutely delicious. They have only two vegan options and they are not labeled in the English menu. But still- the food was amazing.

The food was perfect. We tried many different dishes and each one was blimey. The service was very fast and everybody was extremely nice and friendly. We were there for lunch and it was full. Considering the crowd they are managing something very hard to do. Coconut dessert with plum is one of the best desserts I have ever had.

We did not enjoy the fish of the day or the banana moqueca. It seems like they put presentation above flavor. The service was not hospitable and the atmosphere is like a loud cafeteria. Overall we did not feel like the price met the quality. Much prefer to support a smaller place that’s more welcoming. However, we did think the drinks and desserts were very good and worth it.

A bit tricky to find - but once you managed to locate it you are going to be rewarded. Their food is amazing and so delicious. A perfect fusion of the two best cuisines of brasil - Bahia and Minas Gerais! Like they fused them in their name. Drinks, Starters, Mains and desserts everything throughout the entirety of the menu was delicious.

We came here with friends and enjoyed the experience a lot. Casual, friendly, and fantastic food and drinks! Absolutely recommended!

Located on the -2 floor of the MASP building, this spot specializes in Northern Brazilian cuisine. While it may be on the pricey side, it's definitely worth trying. Everything I tasted was absolutely delicious.

NOTHING FOR VEGANS One should expect a lot of meat in Brazil but I was hoping this only lace is a bit more modern and would have at least 2 vegetarian options on the menu. But there is only one, and it’s plantain - not my favourite. Nothing for vegans except for small simple salad (vegetarian dishes include cheese). So while a great place is you eat meat - it’s not for me and I won’t be coming back as there isn’t anything on the menu to eat. The wine was vegan so I had a glass while watching my friends eat their meat and fish.
