This place has become a real favorite place for the occasional breakfast burrito in my life. Theirs is my favorite in town, by far. The beans are so delicious and the salsa that pairs along with it is so fresh and tasty. Their coffee is great and any of the more elaborate drink orders I've requested they have been more than accommodating on. The staff here are so sweet and always seems to be having a good time at work, which speaks well to the environment there! They also always go above and beyond for dietary restrictions and vegetarian options. I also love all of the cool and unique cook books and things to check out there as well.

I came here for a quick breakfast and it was great! Service was fast and food was excellent. I’ll be back the next time that I’m in Boise!

One of the best, if not the best places to have “non-American” breakfast. Food is super tasty, always fresh and it’s making me to come again and again! Good choice of drinks: coffee/vine/cider/soda etc. All is on a high lvl. Service is client-oriental, staff is positive and always smiling which gives you a good mood. 10/10!!!

First visit to A Cafe today. I am celiac and must eat gluten free. A Cafe was knowledgable with celiac and made my breakfast in a separate pan to avoid cross contamination. This is music to a celiac's ears because it can be very hard to eat out safely. I ordered a latte and the Green Eggs and Ham, which is a scramble with eggs, ham, arugula, pesto, white cheddar, and cherry tomatoes. Quality ingredients and well prepared. It was very tasty. My scramble came with round gluten free bread that I have never had before. It was very good too and breakfast was filling. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our meal and supporting a small, woman-owned business. Give it a try!

The food is amazing, I love the turkey situation or the farmers market burrito I crave it constantly! I do wish they did delivery or some sort of delivery service because I would order once a week and parking is a nightmare but the food is worth it!

I'm very lucky indeed to have a job that takes me to a different corner of the world every week and to over 19 US cities alone and I'm very glad to report that this cafe served me the BEST breakfast I've ever had in 20yrs of travelling to 100's of restaurants and cafes. It's so rare to find that perfect combination of flavour, healthy ingredients & presentation but this place had it all! My 'harvest bowl' was truly exceptional.

I really hope the Hippie chai latte is on the menu for good. Breakfast burrito was fantastic as well.

We picked the spot because we saw they had breakfast sandwiches, which we love, and our bellies were so happy we visited this cafe as rhere seems to be a cafe on every block. When you walk in, you will order from one of the friendly servers, who will give you a number for your order. Then, you can pick a spot around the room to sit. They have one large table, a handful of tables with bench seating along the wall, a high-top area, and counter-space bar-like seats. Lots of people were working while they drank lattes and ate food. We chose the egg, bacon, avocado sandwich, and an egg scramble to share. The sandwich was insanely good. The bacon is super crispy. The egg was perfectly cooked. The bun was buttery, toasted, and the avocados were real and mushy. It was such a thick sandwich. Getting it all in your mouth was tricky, but each perfect bite was phenomenal. We also got the simple scramble, which was scrambled eggs, pepper, and avocado on the side. The scrambled eggs reminded me of my mom because they were light and fluffy. I also got there with hippie chai to drink with our food. The habit guy had cold brew in it, and it was lovely.

Delicious coffee with latte art, tasty breakfast dishes, and friendly staff! Limited seating indoors with additional seating outdoors. It's a very cute cafe with different decors that make the whole place feel homey.

Probably the most delicious coffee I've ever tasted. Ordered a vanilla cappuccino and had a white chocolate mocha to go. It wasn't extremely sweet which is nice. You could actually enjoy the taste of the coffee. The staff is so friendly and the space is really neat. The food was good but it wasn't anything overly special.

The ambience is perfect, the service impeccable, and the food SOOOOOO YUMMY!!! It is a must try especially if you are an avocado toast fan. I will be returning

So glad we found this gem in downtown for a quick breakfast before our white water rafting trip, they were open early and quick! ---avocado toast: one of the best avocado toasts I've had! The tomatoes were amazingly good (and I dont even care for raw tomatoes) and everything was seasoned nicely ---breakfast sandwich: the hubby didn't enjoy this as much as I loved my avocado toast Would love to come back if we are back in Boise!

5 stars for this wonderful establishment. I do travel to Boise for work a few times every year and every time I make sure to visit at least twice A cafe. I think it is one of my favorite coffee shops in the country, not just in Boise. Thank you guys for having such a pretty store! Cheers!

Best in Boise - this place is a must...enjoy their brekky or lunch offerings and a delicious latte with their house made syrup. Everything is perfection including the friendly vibe.

Decent service, good drinks, OK food (lacks flavor). Aside from the fly problem, I was eating breakfast when someone brought their mini golden doodle in and it peed on the floor right next to my table. The dog owner just walked away...an employee came over and cleaned it up with a napkin (no cleaner). I understand a lot of people have dogs as pets (not service animals), but please, keep your dog at home or outside. No one wants to eat around a dog who is shedding or going to the bathroom next to your table. Be considerate of those who don't want this or those who are allergic. When business owners allow this, you have to consider their hygiene standards in the kitchen where your food is being prepared.

Great place. Their vanilla matcha was very good. Service was good. I would recommend this for a brunch and coffee date

Amazing staff, so personable and great food and service; I'm in town visiting and have been 3x's for coffee, then breakfast and next day for lunch. All 3 times they did not disappointed love the front patio and bought some coffee beans to go!! 5 stars++++

On vacation we decided to try A Cafe in downtown Boise Idaho. We loved the location in Downtown and outside seating. We also were allowed to bring our dog outside- there were three other behaved dogs. So for us traveling bringing our dog was plus and a must. Staff super friendly and helpful. We ordered Breakfast Burrito, Oatmilk Latte and Veggie Burrito. All delish and generous portions. I definitely will come back on my next Boise visit. Highly recommend

This place is so stinkin' cute, with great ingredients! Smallish menu, but perfect for breakfast or lunch, totally casual, and very tasty! I love that their sandwiches are on Acme sourdough and their eggs are organic and cage-free. Their beans are organic too, but I'm not sure on the rest of the ingredients. I would hope the veggies are, but I forgot to ask. Regardless, the sandwiches are stacked, and the bowls are very well done and plenty flavorful. I would definitely hit this place on the regular. Honestly, I can't even remember what we ordered, but I know my husband ordered one of the bowls and I couldn't stop stealing bites, while I had ordered one of the yummy sandwiches. We will definitely be back! Honestly, I wish there were more cafes like this. I think it's nice to have something cleaner, lighter, especially in the summer. Not only do I feel like a healthier person eating this way, but I actually feel better in my body, too.

Update: I'm not sure when prices went up but I can't seem to justify paying $17 for a sandwich and salad! I love the environment, the employees are all friendly, and their food is delish. But my favorite item (the popular turkey situation sandwich) is now a bit pricey for what you're getting. Also, am I the only one who finds it funny they say all sandwiches are served with a side of chips or salad ... and then put the additional price? If it doesn't come with it included in the price, it shouldn't say they're all served with it. Maybe that's just me being picky!

I love the a cafe! I've been impressed with everything I've ordered (been there several times). The staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit to the a cafe while in Boise. You won't be disappointed! 5 stars

First time here and the food was pretty good. Restaurant was modern and cute. I got the BLT scramble and my hubby had the Cobb salad. Prices are pretty high but it's downtown, so I get it. I probably won't be back though. There was a medium sized dog (didn't have a sweater or badge, but may still be a service dog?) in the cafe which I was totally cool with until multiple staff members petted the dog and just went back to work... I also asked for ketchup and the one of the girls working there handed me two empty bottles and said "This is all we have. Maybe you can get a little out of it?" Also a bit rough. Not for me but maybe see if it's for you?

Yayyyyy. I've been on the search for good avocado toast, and I have finally found it! Many places offer avocado toast, but not like this. It was absolutely amazing :-) also got a cappuccino which was just as good. The setting and ambiance are beautiful and relaxing, service outstanding, and food.....some of the best I've had. :-) Highly recommend!

Erika and the team at A Café were truly wonderful and the sandwiches, salads, chips, and cookies they created for our boxed lunches were delicious with fresh and vibrantly flavored ingredients. We had a large crew, so I had the opportunity to interface with Erika prior to our event, and she was thoughtful, helpful, timely, and communicative. She created a shortened menu for us. I sent a spreadsheet for our orders and Erika and the team labeled each box with names and contents of each box, they got the lunches to us before they even opened for the day, and they even offered to deliver them! The A Café team went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience and boxed lunches. Thank you all so, so much! I will definitely eat here again when in Boise!

So we are visiting Idaho for hiking and staying in Boise for a few days before we leave. We decided to check out this spot for breakfast and if my goodness LOVE! So first off all, super cute simple downtown location with a good layout, not a huge space but there is outside and some inside options. I got the avocado toast, my son got the egg sandwich, and my husband got the burrito. All fresh, super tasty, great presentation, all the things! I highly recommend this spot if you're near downtown!

Super cute cafe in downtown! Everything on the menu looked so good, food came out so fast and the workers were all so nice. The food is very fresh and have tons of healthy options. A perfect place to go grab coffee or breakfast/lunch. Very cute inside and has outdoor seating. Prices are normal for downtown food!

I work around the corner and everyone raves about a cafe so I had a lunch engagement and decided to try them out. They sell local children's books autographed. Bonus if you're looking for a gift. Their service is good. (Courteous check in, ordering, however have to fetch beverages) The food is amazing! That's why they get a 5. 5 to me = go out of your way to try their menu. I had the carpet picnic bowl (should've had two it was that good!) my friend had the north ender said it was delicious. Can't wait to go back I hear their scrambles and burritos are excellent.

Lady working the counter was rude. Just quit. Didn't acknowledge us or ask how anything was. We also had the breakfast burrito. Not bad as well.

Not impressed with the food or drinks. Food was bland and portions small. Coffee drinks were ok. Service was ok. Ambiance is ok. I'm a local and would not visit again.

Usually this place is pretty good, but one thing slice of bacon and one thin slice of turkey on a $15 wrap is wild. The wrap was 75% arugula. Will pass on that one next time. It was good, worth $7 or $8 but definitely not $15.

If you're looking for the type of breakfast place that serves avocado toast, this is your spot. I always get their avo toast with arugula and typically a 6 minute egg. Unfortunately, last time I went they served me a fried egg and when asked if I could get the 6 min egg I requested, they said they were all out. If you're out of eggs, how do you serve fried then instead? That confused me... Overall, love the atmosphere, a little pricey for my liking but solid food and kombucha/coffee/drink selection.

3 in our party. My daughter got the fregg breakfast sandwich and it came out cold and so that was disappointing . Eggs on a breakfast sandwich of that style shouldn't be cold. And the scrambled egg dish my mother got didn't seem like it was really cooked in a skillet, but probably some thing that was preformed or pre-cooked and then they just heated up in some type of oven. She didn't like the flavor or texture. So it was disappointing because I really wanted to like the place and their menu looked really good but the food, even though it looks pretty doesn't quite live up to what you're hoping it will taste like and it is too expensive for what it is. My veg head sandwich had roasted bell peppers that had a horrible cheap taste to them and made me feel sick after eating. Chai latte was good.

Great coffee! I had a vanilla latte that was a little more on the sweet side than other coffee joints. They have a fun menu for drinks that I would like to explore more in terms of their different flavors and styled of chai lattes, so I will be back. They offer a breakfast and lunch menu. They also serve mimosas and wine.

My wife and I were in town visiting and this was a great find. Lots of gluten free options, fresh healthy choices and everything was delicious. We each had a brekky bowl and I really enjoyed the sweet house made nola. My wife missed out since it isn't gluten free. We really recommend trying this spot if you haven't.

Beautiful space- modern & clean! Staff is friendly and accommodating. We came in to try the avocado toast and it did not disappoint! Added a 6 min egg for a perfect Saturday am brekkie. I'll be back to try the build your own bowls...but it will be difficult to forgo that toast!

I'm retired and am fortunate to eat out often. I love going to the a Cafe and do so often. The food is so amazingly FRESH and TASTY and I've never been disappointed with anything I ordered. The SPECIALS are really innovative and yummy. The service is great too and everyone makes you feel so good to be there. If you want great, fresh food and a super environment in downtown Boise, it's a MUST!

We are regulars at A Café and cannot speak highly enough about the service, management (Ashley) and the food. It's one of the very few places in Boise that has healthy breakfast and lunch options with great coffee. It's such a great place to work from too! We came here with our 2 small children and everyone loved the food. It is refreshing to get light and fresh cuisine. We can't recommend this place enough.

WOW! What a hidden gem. Everything about the experience you have here is so perfectly curated. The food is perfectly seasoned, the plating is beautiful, and the space is large and well decorated. I have nothing but positive things to say & hope this place is here to stay!

This locally-owned cute little cafe is another treasure in Boise! They have a nice variety of brunch menu along with coffee bar. The atmosphere is open, yet very inviting as the owner and staff are. There are some bigger tables you can comfortably bring your lap top and work with a nice cup of latte as well! I went to grab lunch with my girl friend. I ordered a plate of avocado toast with a soft boiled egg, which perfectly done! What a pleasant experience and great place to grab a bite and coffee with friends on a Saturday!!

Stopped here for a quick breakfast during a work trip. Tried the everything avo toast and raspberry mocha. Both were great. And very friendly staff.

This little cafe is adorable. It's very well decorated, lit and modern, yet warm and welcoming. The staff were very nice and they were very helpful and friendly. I have wanted to eat here for a while, but they are closed when I am off from work, so when I was on vacation a week ago, I stopped in finally. I was in the mood for brunch and luckily they were still serving it when I arrived. I ordered your basic breakfast that included fried egg, some local, Levain bread from Acme (very nice!), really great bacon, and some flaky sea salt butter and house made seasonal fruit compote. The food was very nice. I have had better eggs elsewhere, but I could tell they were very fresh and they tasted decent but they didn't look so great on the plate. They were overcooked around the edges too so I got that crunchy tough edge that I really don't prefer, but to each his own right? All in all, the plate that the food was served on was simply too small. It was difficult to cut, pick up and eat without food falling over the edges. Other than that, the breakfast tasted nice and I left satisfied. I would give them another go!

An awesome coffee/food place in Boise! We decided to get takeout for a Sunday brunch and were delighted with our meals/coffee. We shared the avocado toast and the "create your own bowl". The avocado toast was delicious and pure inspiration for our own cooking at home. The bowl was good too, it was nice to have the freedom and flexibility to choose exactly what we wanted. Their cold brew coffee is delicious as well. Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic cafe in downtown Boise! A+ for service, ambience, cleanliness and food. I had a breakfast sandwich on homemade sourdough with a fried egg, fresh avocado, arugula, tomato, white cheddar and a house-made seasoning and a great cup of quality coffee that was roasted skillfully. The quality was excellent and price was incredibly I highly recommend you give this place a shot if you're in the area Return visit Feb '20... 5 star review further solidified. Everything avocado toast, service and atmosphere were phenomenal. Grateful for places like this while I'm on the road.

This is a special little place. I was in downtown for a meeting & wanted to grab a healthy bite to take home to eat. I found a cafe on Yelp (THANKS!) and was excited to call in and order. The interior is very well done. Clean, black & white, a few tables, and MY FAV. a garage door for indoor/outdoor when summer hits! That will be a cool element. I ordered the Caprese, and the Chicken wrap. Both were excellent. The lady working at the counter seemed genuinely thankful that I called my order in amidst all the craziness in the world right now. Thank you for the perfect lunch bite! I will be in again, soon!

This little cafe is a hidden gem! All of their food is made to order and their sourdough/ levain bread is to die for! The turkey situation and avocado toast are two of my favs. Their vegan tomato/ red pepper soup is also very tasty, especially with the rainy weather.

This place RULES! We found it on Yelp during our four day visit from Texas. It's got a great, well-decorated atmosphere and a nice outside area. We'd had two meals in a row that seemed to have been made with zero love, we were so happy that wasn't the case here. My girlfriend and I both had the Turkey Situation sandwiches. They were excellent. My daughter was happy with her chicken pesto sandwich, too. It was the best lunch we had in Boise so we ended up coming back for breakfast on our last day. Breakfast was fantastic, too. I had the brekky bowl which was fresh and delicious. My girlfriend had a breakfast sandwich she said was, "Excellent!"

I have never had a bad meal here. Great salads and sandwiches. Really quality ingredients. Attentive service. Usually a little busy but we've always been able to find a seat. My dad claims they have the best BLT he's ever had (and it did look good).

A cafe is super cute! Menu is small but mighty, coffee is delish, and they even serve mimosas! Perfect for a light brunch and getting some work done! The look and feel is light, airy and modern! A tiny bit small so I would feel bad about staying for an extended amount time...but still a great place to get an hours of work in while enjoying coffee and mimosas!

So good! I went in for avocado toast and a coffee and it was really good. The toast was refreshing and reasonably priced for a cafe! I just wish they had more topping options for the toast but it was still very good. The coffee was great too!
