You will enjoy wild fish, organic Corsican meat and vegetables fresh from the permaculture garden. Attentive service and a wine list rich in pleasant surprises." - Michelin Inspector

Beautiful hotel with lots of activities in walking distance to do. Great to stroll around the city to discover lots of restaurants, local shops and activities for the whole family. Some amazing road trips within a couple hours. Overall a great experience.

The hotel is located some 2 km outside the gorgeous town of Bonifacio. It comprises a collection of rustic lodges scattered around the main building housing the reception and restaurant.||The hotel offers a free daily shuttle going to the Bonifacio marina but only two trips in the mornings with the latest return at 6pm. After that you are at the mercy of local taxis charging an exorbitant €30 each way.||There is a car park at the bottom of the complex, all spaces with covers against the blazing sun.||There is a small pool to the right of the entrance with a whirlpool tub on the side and a comfortable seated area. ||All cottages have different character, other than rather uniform-looking Speranza suites sitting separately to the main complex, with little gardens or enclosures. ||Our Superior Charme chalet was spacious and airy, with a separate lounge and bedroom. There was plenty of wardrobe and storage space around. The bed was huge and very comfortable.||There were steps and sharp edges everywhere inside the rooms so we had to be careful when moving around.||Bathrobes and slippers were provided. There was a safety box too. Tea and coffee-making facilities were available. ||WiFi signal was acceptable. TV had no English-speaking channels.||The bathroom was in three parts, with separate toilet and bath tub with jacuzzi on the other side. Water took a while to heat up despite outside temperatures in excess of 30 centigrade.||We dined at A Cheda: it was an interesting though rather pricey experience. They pride themselves on serving home-grown vegetables. The selection of Corsican wines was quite ample. ||Breakfast, at €28.50 per person, was held at the restaurant as well. It wasn’t extensive although the herbal omelettes were rather tasty.||Staff were friendly and helpful.

I stayed at A Cheda for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my time. The hotel is located 5 minutes by car from Bonifacio and makes for an ideal location to explore the southern portion of Corsica. Parking was easy, free and ample. All rooms are surrounded by gardens which in addition to being beautiful, supply the hotel's restaurant with fresh produce. Every meal we ate at the restaurant was wonderful. I especially enjoyed the mystery menu comprised of dishes selected by the chef, all highlighting local ingredients. The staff was friendly as well, helping with small, random requests I had without hesitation. If I had to nitpick, I would say the wifi could be improved (although I personally welcomed the opportunity to disconnect) and that the Japanese style shower in my room (no walls) would probably be more practical if it simply had walls or a barrier to prevent the bathroom floor from getting wet. It didn't bother me much, just a curious choice. Those small things aside, A Cheda is a gorgeous place that offers great value. I hope to return someday!

Ideal place to stay in a village minutes away from Bonifacio, Corsica En route to Bonifacio from Porticcio, the gorgeous views alone are worth the ticket. But if ever visiting, stay here: easily worth a weeklong stay, with so many relaxing places to sit or sunbathe, in a natural setting. We got an upgrade to a suite, which was great: couch and desk in one room, with AC all around, plus a jacuzzi like bathtub and shower. The bed was comfy. But the setting is superb, as this place includes an excellent chef and restaurant. Chef Lionel Lebrun, 43, likes to see what he eats, so while the ingredients often include garden herbs, vegetables and fruits, like fresh raspberries in the photo, as well as flourishes like grated Persian black lime over a roast sea bass or an intermezzo (between fish and meat) of homemade limoncello granita, to make a transition), the servings are not over technical or showy. Fifteen years ago, he opened this oasis, which has Michelin recognition for gastronomy as well as a jacuzzi, spa, sauna and pool, all set in a green, garden like ambiance. Rooms vary from single to suite. One of the best breakfasts I know, with homemade yogurts, Madeleines, cakes, breads and juices. The omelette is perfect, not runny. And although they have also fallen victim to machine coffee, they offered to make fresh filtered coffee, which was delicious. Will post more details on the dinner on my own website (wine-chronicles.com), but it included two catch-of-the-day fish, an amazing serving of two Corsican cheeses (one with truffle, another a creamy goat cheese) indirectly “smoked” by what is called L’Immortelle, a local flower also used in cosmetics, but burned next to the cheeses underneath a silver platter, to add a smoky flavour; locally raised veal, and impeccable desserts prepared by pastry chef Alexandre Prual, who for example crafted one of the most amazing sorbets I have ever had, from garden mint, lemon mint, parsley, verveine, and sariette (weed called “savory” in English). So delicat, so refined, so vividly fresh and light… surrounded by fresh fruit. Added plus: covered parking places so the hot sun won’t make it too bad when you get back in your car. Cost: €238 for a large room with shower and bath and €270 for a seven course surprise dinner, for two, served with three excellent Corsican wines (rosé, dry white and red). Breakfast was €32 per person and worth every euro cent.

We visited for a two night stay in the low season, mid March. The hotel was very quiet and we were upgraded to a fabulous room. Wonderful bathroom, lovely shower & spa bath with L’Occitane complimentary toiletries. Comfortable bed & very clean room. Small fridge and kettle with tea & coffee. Some lovely little details to the room, including a tree! Room 105. I am sure other rooms are nice & have their own individual finishing touches. |We had a terrace overlooking the herb & vegetable garden which was very pleasant. The hotel offered a safe place for our mountain bikes to be stored during our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant, there was a limited menu as we were the only diners and the food was delicious with very friendly service. Breakfast was not included and we had this the first morning but declined the second as we felt quite pricey for what we were served. Unfortunately, we did not see the hotel at its best as the outside space & pool looked like in the summer months a great place to be. We will have to go back. Overall a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Merci beaucoup!

It is well Located with 10 minutes drive from Bonifacio and also some of the nice beaches. Rooms are nicely decorated but are too small. Bathroom is outdated. Poor service.

This is a great little property with a private feel to your stay as their rooms are individually curated and separate from reception / other rooms. Location is pretty good although you'll need a car to get anywhere.||||They were super helpful and accommodating. They helped us get around on the days we didn't have a rental car. ||||The biggest challenge for us was the lack of Wifi ( We work while travelling) and there's also barely any cell phone service as well. ||||The restaurant is michelin rated, had live music, but the food and service was 3/10. They were very apologetic about the evening because they knew they dropped the ball, so it is what it is. ||||I would recommend this place because overall it was a good stay, but if I go back, I will stay somewhere else.

This charming offbeat hotel was home for 4 days in January. The owners upgraded us to a beautiful suite and were wonderful about letting us order from the dining room menu (dining room was closed) and delivering dinner to our room. They were helpful about dinner reservations as well but it was a bit rainy and cold so we were happy to eat in. The hotel is a short distance from town, which was wonderful. There is a friendly old dog, breakfasts are outstanding, owners were good company. Highly recommended for a winter hideaway.I have a back problem and they took pains to find me the most convenient room (Choice of three). We would go back if it wasn't so far from Oregon! Beautiful and generous amenities as well. a real find on our month.long tour of Corsica.
