A for Athens

Stayed at the hotel and visited the roof top bar several times. Incredible location in the centre of Monastiraki. An absolute oasis of calm that is a short walk from the train station and centre of the city. Staff are incredible and cannot do enough to help. Our room was modern and impeccably clean with a small balcony and direct view over the square to the acropolis. Breakfast is included and is a short walk over the road to a venue also with an amazing view of the acropolis. The bar is excellent, not only for the view, but the quality of cocktails, excellent staff. Most notably, all of the above is (in my view) reasonably priced considering the location and quality. Highly recommended.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic stay in Athens! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were professional and welcoming. The location was perfect — right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance to the main attractions, shops, and plenty of great restaurants. It made exploring iconic landmarks so convenient and enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel as the perfect base for a city stay.

A breakfast with a stunning view! Even non-guests at the hotel can enjoy the view of the Acropolis for 20€ per person. The breakfast itself is not worth the money but the sunrise views are spectacular. Is in front of a metro station so there’s nothing to lose.

Went for the rooftop bar. The drinks are so unique and delicious. Some of the pictures you would not think would work, yet once you try them they have some an interesting flavor profile. Plus you really cannot beat the view since you are able to see the Acropolis and the entire city from the roof.

Amazing sunset view of the acropolis from the rooftop bar! We got a table quite easily. Cocktails were lovely, little pricey but worth it! Service was quick and friendly.

Reviewing the hotel and restaurant experience! Staying at A for Athens was one of the highlights of our late September 2024 honeymoon!! We actually stayed at A for Athens twice during our trip and it was incredible both times. For our longer stay, we booked an Acropolis view room, and it was it was the perfect experience. Getting that view of the Parthenon and Monastiraki Square right from our room was worth the price of the room alone. The entire hotel staff were so nice and helpful, ensuring our stay had no issues. Breakfast was served on the rooftop bar/restaurant and was overflowing with great food. One of the highlights of our stay was a complimentary glass of wine on the roof after check-in! A for Athens is situated in the perfect Athens location, easy walking distance to all the major sites. Getting to the hotel was incredibly easy from both the Athens Airport and Piraeus Port, as the hotel is just steps from the Monastiraki metro station. I must give one more shoutout to the wonderful staff at A for Athens, as they saved our wedding anniversary dinner! We had dinner reservations at another restaurant that ended up falling through, and A for Athens made sure we still had the perfect evening. Even though the rooftop restaurant and bar are incredibly popular, the hostess found us a table within 10 minutes that had a perfect view of the lit-up Parthenon at night. The food and cocktails were all superb. We will certainly be staying at A for Athens every time we are in Athens in the future!

Amazing cocktails! They were very accommodating to fit us in, and my bed is to a nicer table once they had one. The concept menu is very creative, and very well mixed. Our host was great. The views are incredible. 100% worth a visit, and would totally come back to see an updated menu version. They allow outdoor smoking, and they also allow older teens. Location is excellent.

Very nice hotel. Great location for walking everywhere. The rooftop is the most amazing very of the Acropolis. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious! Best I’ve ever had at any stay/ any where!
