Superb food with rich, satisfying flavors—every bite was delicious! Cozy and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Service was warm and attentive. Perfect spot to start the day with a smile. Highly recommended!

I had the Eggs Benedict with the breakfast potatoes. It was a solid dish. The coffee was excellent too. That was surprise for me since I just expected it to be average. There seemed be good selection on the menu and the prices at the time seemed reasonable. The staff were polite and quick to serve.

Really lovely spot almost tucked away from plain view. Service was a little slow but understandable so as we arrived for brunch. The Jack’s Sausage Benedict was tasty with a mild tang to the hollandaise. Not pictured is the pulled pork breakfast burrito. It was delicious with a nice lingering spice to it. Definitely will come back again.

Google
This restaurant seemed to be family owned and operated. The service was great and fun. I ordered the superfood salad and it was delicious. If done here make sure you read the old signs hanging on the wall 🤣.

Google
Basic old school basic breakfast. Good service, fairly fast pace. Good portions for the price point.

Google
Good breakfast both quality & quantity, at reasonable price. Had standard Canadian Eggs Benedict with cappuccino. Both nice but the benedict was missing any cayenne, avocado toppings and the like. Layout and decor are basic but comfortable. A couple of chairs have frayed and torn seats- long past their useful life. I hope owners are not as careless about food quality in the kitchen as the frayed furniture in the guest area suggest. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Here we go.. weekend brunch with the boys, here I thought we stumbled across a hidden eatery.. only to find that the service was mediocre, you have to wait with plenty of seating left.. around noon on Sunday.. waitress was semi okay.. and the food looked delicious but lacked flavor and punch from the semi super dry n sticky 🥞 to the tasteless burger.. i'd say the best thing was the nuggets and fries.. 🤷🏽‍♂️.. My professional review.. find a better place.. Overall rating meh 😒

Google
I honestly had high expectations for this cozy dinner. As soon as I walked in, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the warming welcome of the staff. I saw someone with an order of blueberry pancakes and they looked so good that I had to try them for myself. Since the pancakes didn't come with anything, I ordered corned beef hash on the side. My hash came out and I immediately noticed that they were canned. The taste of them confirmed that. Not sure why I expected fresh corned beef hash. The pancakes looked great and were huge. They had real blueberries, however they had an artificial taste to them. The pancakes itself wasn't that great. My family had their own orders of egg scramble and crab benedict that they didn't really enjoy. Plus some of our orders came out wrong. A family member did enjoy their Supreme Breakfast Burrito. Not sure we will be returning for breakfast food but maybe a burger.

Yelp
Had some eggs benedict with capers and two pleasantly large cups of coffee. Tasted wonderful and the server was attentive. Wish the restroom was larger, though. Ended up having to wait ten or so minutes for a few other customers to funnel through before I could relieve myself. Lots of fun '50s style gags on the wall (white women in old-style waitress outfits saying things like "If you're not shaking, you need more coffee!"), which is humorously incongruous with the 100% non-white employees (a mix of Hispanic and Southeast Asian). Gotta love California.

Yelp
Ordered steak and eggs came out to $24 with there upcharge $1 for any breakfast plate Steak is literally a thin piece of steak This shouldn't be $24 First and last time I come here

Yelp
This is a good place for a quick breakfast with some decent standard breakfast items. The service was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. I had the standard Egg's Benedict and while the eggs were done perfectly the hollandaise sauce was a little watery. The ham had little flavor or seasoning. However, the hash browns were done crisply and the sausage was tasty. My wife had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant which apparently was pretty good. There isn't anything to make them stand out among breakfast joints but I'd give them another try. Be aware that they are charging a $1 surcharge per egg due to the egg shortage. $1 may be a little high but at least they are up front about it.

Yelp
Food came out super speedy, but the food itself didn't excel. I am unlikely to return Saturday morning, the place was almost full, but was seated without wait. It is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Menu is pretty standard American fare, with categories including benedicts, scrambles, omelettes, breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Most are around $18/plate. Best value seems like the lox bagel sandwich at $10 The omelette, while cooked well, had major flaws. All components were under seasoned, including the fillings of the omelette itself, and the side of potatoes. The cheese was also draped onto, instead of being integrated into the omelette. This made it difficult to eat the omelette, as the fillings had no binder to hold the different ingredients together The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy plate were also dense, and some had a slight raw dough flavour

Yelp
Yikes. Decided to try and grab a coffee and a bagel while charging my car nearby. $4 Coffee is midnight Denny's quality. $6 Bagel is store bought, served cold after being toasted and a thin spread of cream cheese. Rent is high, I get it, but raise your game for a good morning.

Yelp
A great spot to grab breakfast all day and their menu is extensive! Service was a little slow but it was late in the afternoon and closer to closing time. The food was tasty and the outdoor seating area is quaint. I will definitely be going back because they have so many solid breakfast options. The breakfast sauces are so delicious!

Yelp
I decided to try this place for the first time at 0730 this morning. the parking lot was empty -hmmm Are they open?, Yes they are, only 2 customers, the place didn't look to cheerful Dark colors, Black chairs, black uniforms -I understand that, (the working world) has to wear (ALL BLACK) such a (depressing color), I can see why Restaurants are not doing so well, (ALL BLACK), Now to the food... I ordered Buttermilk pancakes they were good along with a Cup of Coffee, it was Ok nothing great to remember. only 3 staff, Cook, 2 dining room attendants - (one was eating) - Disney rule: if a customer can see you - you better be performing, so Eat (off stage). The interior can use lighter colors to bring on Cheerfulness - Then it will be (A good morning).

Yelp
I very nice quiet cafe great for a sharing a meal with a friend or taking you father out. Service is great, the waiters take your order and within 10 minutes your meal is ready. I ordered a classic eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. The eggs were poached but needed a tad longer for my personal preference. The hollandaise sauce really laxked the flavor or that nice balance of flavor and found it extremely bland. The Canadian ham needed to be kissed on the stove longer as mine tasted more like ham that needed to be on a sandwich. The hashbrowns were cooked well. The bacon was by far the highlight as it was crispy but not super hard. Overall this is a nice place for breakfast but there is nothing that makes this stand out and is just an average breakfast place.

Yelp
heads up. longer than usual wait when ordering online on a holiday sunday morning. same as if came in person.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years, and it's always been so so, we prefer "Old Pancake House, in Los Altos, better everything. Especially after this last visit and it will be last. The waitress had major attitude, food was cold, coffee ten minutes into siting down, and had to ask for refill. Really...we could have stayed home and saved me & my husband $50.00. Minus the negative vibe and angst, and to think we paid for that, sad!! Take my advice avoid this place. To the Owner don't be fooled by this waitress; she'll take your biz down.

Yelp
Listen this is the chillest breakfast spot in West Palo Alto. They're not here to do anything crazy but the staff is nice, they're able to make substitutions and alterations (my mom and I don't eat bacon but got chicken apple sausage), and they're great at refills. Only thing is like why is the fruity French toast so much more expensive than the other French toasts?? But besides that swag place

Chérie S.

Yelp
It's understandable--they've posted a notice explaining the $1 surcharge on eggs, citing supply shortages. Food is a mediocre truly
google avatar

Adel W.

Yelp
They have an extensive brunch/breakfast menu, as well as a full lunch menu! Walked in for sunday brunch, and there was no wait (plenty of seating inside and outside)! Service was sweet and the food was tasty but nothing mind blowing. Prices were a bit higher than expected with the average breakfast plates being $17-18.

Natasha D.

Yelp
The food was ok. The service was terrible. It's not busy and it seems like there are plenty of staff. No communication and the team doesn't seem happy to be working. We would not come back.

Bertha C.

Yelp
I heard the burritos were the best! However, that was not my experience, the burrito was expensive and smaller than I thought. The potatoes were not cooked well, and they seemed old; the flavor was not there. The service was good, except for this lady that works there kept staring at me. It is in a convenient location.
google avatar

Julie G.

Yelp
Food was ok filled me up. Eggs were old. The idea was classic breakfast spot. I won't come back but I'm glad I was full and it did its job filling me up.

Yelp
This review is based on last weekend's experience only , with the hope it improves and we can get back to wanting to go here Three in our party , got here late morning so crowded is always expected. Nobody to greet at the door and let us know we need to sign in, figured that out. The problem with waiting outside , no place to sit for 30 minutes , nobody checking on you and realizing the two parties before you are also waiting , you really notice stuff The outdoor seating area is nice but notice extensive cobwebs over tables , a table with food half finished sitting the entire time we were waiting , and the dust and dirt on the chairs for the outside eating area. Honestly , previous rating was excellent , that is why I brought people where but after the lack of any kind of service while waiting in the hot sun and seeing the need for a deep clean of the outside area , can not come back. Found a place down the street and you will see that posted , it's a better alternative No pics this time as we want to give the business a chance to improve , may try again in a couple months and will let you all know. Really was going to make this my go to on the weekend but not now , very unfortunately

Yelp
Well, this place was a bust. If you want to feel like you're inconveniencing the restaurant by showing up, then search no further. The lady didn't even greet us, she pointed us to go sit at table 5. We got our silverware and menus thrown down at the table by a 20-something year old guy like he was playing spades and didn't mutter a word. We waited another 10 minutes with no one approaching us or greeting us or offering to take our drink order. We really contemplated leaving but, the food did look good and kids were hungry. After, waving down the same guy, he made eye contact with me and carried on with his task so I waved another lady to help us and still no luck. At that point, the lack of common courtesy was inconceivable so we threw in the towel just as the older lady approached us to take our order. We said "sorry, we are leaving so no need to take our order." To add insult to injury, the lady seemed annoyed like we were wasting her time. We were so disappointed about this, perhaps they rely on takeout orders and maybe some regulars that frequent the place. The 20-year old guy needs to consider a new occupation or reassess his people skills for sure. -Nuff said.

Yelp
Asked for coffee and water, never got the water. Ordered the country fried steak and eggs. I was told they didn't have that today. Ordered a different breakfast. U asked for the eggs to be over medium, the whites were not throughly cooked. I understand many restaurants are adding 50 cents per egg during this time, but they added $1 per egg. Used to be a great place, certainly has gone down hill lately.

Yelp
A more classic style diner serving regular breakfast staples. Overall it feels a bit lackluster compared to todays brunch options but if you're looking for a quick, comfort, diner breakfast - this is your place. We felt like the food was just okay, but the servers were friendly and had great outdoor seating.
google avatar

Estella S.

Yelp
Read the reviews of my fellow yelpers so decided to try for myself. The food was hot, fresh and tasty (big moma and cali scrambles). Service was friendly and staff greeted you all around with room decor to match. The room temp was on the warm side but provides ample outdoor seating as well. Why a 3 star? Checked all the boxes for the price and what you got. If you want a no frills bite to eat here's your place.

Yelp
Just from a grammar standpoint "A Good Morning Cafe" is not the most ideal... But in the spirit of supporting local, I had to give this little indoor/outdoor cafe a try! Aesthetic - 8/10 Typical diner/cafe vibe but they have a decent amount of outdoor seating which is great when the weather is so lovely in Los Altos (80% of the time). Not too much to write home about but that's typical of cafes so not going to knock them there. Service - 8/10 Very friendly, very helpful, very quick. My order was accurate and when I first arrived they were out of Vietnamese Coffee, a different staff member remembered I wanted some so offered it to me after I was done eating when they had some ready. Thoughtful! My order: Thai Tea - 9/10 - Exactly what you expect with a Thai Tea in an unexpected location! Vegetable Eggs Benedict - 6/10 - This is why this little spot only get 3/5 stars. Unfortunately, everything on the plate lacked flavor. The hollandaise sauce was so muted you had to eat copious amounts with each bite to even taste it. There was an odd hard, blackened, chewy portion to my tomato slice which was quite jarring when eating. The hash browns needed some serious spice TLC, even ketchup couldn't help them. Would I go back? Maybe... for the Thai Tea and definitely not ordering an eggs Benedict. Their burritos did look tasty! Did I order the wrong thing? Maybe! Although their menu claims they are famous for eggs Benedict. If you're in the area, feel free to check this place out! But consider reading through the reviews to find out what other people enjoyed.

Yelp
For two decades I have lamented that there was no good breakfast restaurant in Mountain View besides Hobees. I recently discovered a Good Morning and have been going there ever since.
google avatar

Yelp
Great portions of hearty, breakfast comfort food at really good prices makes this place an awesome value. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and quick. I am new to the area and am happy to have found an outstanding local cafe.

Elena V.

Yelp
Service and food ok not spectacular. If I wasn't watching the cashier (Manager) he double charged, he grabbed my card out of my hand without asking. It would've not been a problem if he had apologized but instead he made excuses. Not returning and third time strikes out!! Not worth it
google avatar

Eric K.

Yelp
We really enjoy this cafe. We find the food to be excellent, price reasonable, and menu variety is really strong. The cafe employees are always nice, friendly, and clearly content to be there. We come on a regular basis on the same day and time. After three weeks they knew us and simply asked "the usual?" when they see us. I also noticed that we are not the only regulars there, and they seem to have a regular clientele.
google avatar

Bruce J.

Yelp
We went early (8am) on Saturday before the crowds arrived. The service was really excellent. I ordered the meat lovers omelette. It was tasty, but the bacon inside was very fatty. Also, I ordered hash browns (extra crispy). Sadly, there was nothing crispy about them. Meh. Lastly, they swapped the toast on our 2 orders. Not a big deal to self-correct. But the bigger deal is that for $17, I expect more than 1 not so special piece of toast. Other than those things, it was serviceable, but didnt meet my expectations (which are not super high). For $25 with average coffee, perhaps I will try somewhere else next time.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Simple breakfast of eggs and bacon Eggs ICE COLD Bacon limp and old... Toast burned... Nobody in restaurant so we were only table. Obviously why
google avatar

Breana M.

Yelp
It's nice! Great service and great food! The coffee really hit the spot. I do say maybe if you like your bacon crispy make sure to ask because it's a bit on the chewy side for me. The biscuits and gravy was also ordered (was said to be up to par with my mamas). 10/10
google avatar

Mona B.

Yelp
I love this place. People here are warm, friendly, kind, and the food ... Mammamia "DELICIOUS"

Sasha S.

Yelp
They are charging $1 extra - PER EGG!!! Total price gouging. A slight increase could be understandable but I paid $16 for 3 eggs. Avoid.
google avatar

LeeLee C.

Yelp
Not a bad place with the outdoor seating. Indoor seating is a tad boring. Service was cheerful but occasionally not accurate. We ordered a kids meal and when asked what to drink the kiddo ordered orange juice which was priced 2.99 in the kids meal section. However we first got charged 12.99 as the waitress thought we ordered 2 glasses. Then it was reduced to $6, which was one glass of freshly squeezed orange juice price. That didn't sound right to us as we didn't mention freshly squeezed nor did the waitress confirm led with us. So that was disappointing. We also ordered the Bay Omelette which was delicious and in good portion. Their menu has a variety of omelette combinations and that's what I like.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is nice. I went for a later brunch and had their veggie grilled cheese with artichoke and avocado and it was good! You get to chose between fries or other sides, I chose salad. I also had a cappuccino with oat milk which was great! The staff was nice and the selection of food is really good! I would come back!
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
Don't upgrade the fries to garlic fries. Not worth it! Its weak inferior garlic powder with no taste. Rest of the fries was bland, completely no salt or taste. Veggie burger lacked taste also. First time I ate raw onions with no onion taste. It means the onions were probably cut days ahead of time. The entire meal was very subpar at best. The only saving grace was that the patty was crunchy because it was deep fried. It gave more texture. Also the lettuce was fresh and crunchy. Coffee has a burnt flavor to it, like the local Bali coffee I had in Indonesia where they added burnt rice as a filler - that type of burnt. I had to add 6 vanilla creamers to drown out the taste. Even 2 hrs after the meal I can still taste the burntness. Definitely fillers were added in the coffee. Service was friendly though.

Yelp
Pretty crowded late Saturday morning had to wait 1/2 hour. Not surprising because the food and service was great!

Jo Marie H.

Yelp
Food wa pretty good prices were good and food was yummy cozy cafe we would go again. Service was great it was very clean

Huilun S.

Yelp
The food varieties are good and delicious. To go breakfast and brunch. I like the traditional breakfast style and pancake with my friends. Coffee is light with milk. Seating on the patio is comfortable.
google avatar

Yelp
Blueberry pancakes were delicious! Light, fluffy, and a decent amount of blueberries. Service was quick and attentive, and overall a good experience. Would definitely come back!

Agnes B.

Yelp
The all waitress is not allowed to get their tips. The tips goes to the owner of the restaurant. I hope the owner paid them well good paycheck for their hard work. They did a great job serve us foods and cleaning and gave us all what we all needed. The foods was good. They provide us lot of napkins and all. I hope the owner is good.
google avatar

Zita M.

Yelp
It's a cute place with nice indoor and outdoor seating area. While the service was exceptional the food was so so: 1. The chi coffee was not the best - felt like the powder was used not the original way. 2. The waffles barely had any berries on it and came out as it was sitting out for a while. It was not very warm. 3. They ran out of lox for the Benedict. 4. There wasn't a lot of potatoes put for my dish. Parking is easy. Nice vibe but the food could have been a little more on point.

Yelp
We had a great breakfast here yesterday before the Notre Dame v Stanford football game. The wait was only 5-10 min to be sat, but we did request an inside seat as it was pretty cold outside. There was about 6-8 tables inside with more outdoor/patio seating, so plenty of room if you didn't mind the cold. The portions were good and both of my kids finished their plates! They ate French toast with bacon and a Belgium waffle!! Did sneak a bite of the French toast and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken fried steak and he said it was great and would get it again if we came back. Overall a great local spot to try if you are in the area. The offer breakfast, lunch and dinner so i would like to try another meal on my next trip up.

Yelp
I have to say, it's hard to find a reasonably priced, basic brunch these days. I It feels like every brunch place is trying to be super trendy and instagrammable these days, resulting in inflated prices, long waits, and food that looks better than it actually tastes. Well, if you just want a basic, delicious brunch, look no further than A Good Morning Cafe. They are your friendly neighborhood brunch and lunch spot, serving up breakfast favorites like omelettes and pancakes and fresh-squeezed orange juice. My office is a few buildings down, so this is my go-to spot in the mornings when I am coming in straight from the gym and need a hearty breakfast. I usually call my order in first and it's ready to pick up 10 minutes later. My favorite item to get is the basic breakfast burrito for $8. It comes packed with your choice of bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese, all wrapped up in a giant flour tortilla. I always ask them to substitute breakfast potatoes for the cheese, and it comes out delicious. Also, one of the best things about this place is that you get pretty good bang for buck.
google avatar

Ryan D.

Yelp
A Good Morning Cafe is the most consistently good diner in the bay area imho. My family has been going here every week or two for breakfast for over 5 years. While there has been some staff turnover, they are always friendly, the food is consistently good and service is quick. If you want a classic, wholesome breakfast served quickly, this is your place. I also love that this place is not a chain and not an overly fancy, Instagram style diner. Just a classic, casual friendly local place that families go to for a wholesome meal.
google avatar

Vivi B.

Yelp
Really delicious food. Peerless coffee they grind and brew. The egg white omelet is tasty. Crispy hash browns. Price point is really affordable. The place was packed on a Friday morning.

Robert S.

Yelp
I ordered breakfast. I specifically ordered my hash browns crispy and not raw in the middle. when the waitress brought our food, my hash browns were raw in the middle. When she came around a little later, my girlfriend told her my has browns were raw in the middle. She went and told the cook and he told me that's the way he cooks them. Really, how hard is it to cook them crispy? NEVER WILL GO THERE AGAIN !!!
google avatar

Kathleen H.

Yelp
Great food, pretty good service, I went a couple times and would go again. Easy parking, I wish service was a tad better but overall a good experience

Yelp
They labeled everything for us! :). I work for a local credit union and ever since COVID-19, my work has been accommodating free lunch from restaurants of our choice using DoorDash. NOT ONE restaurant in 3 months has labeled our food with our individual names except "A Good Morning Cafe"! You don't know how easier it was for my team and I to figure out who's food is who's. It was all labeled with our names spelled correctly on our trays and bags. What a simple thing but an awesome thing. It's the littlest things that get me. The menu has a wide selection; not just breakfast. They have sandwiches, salads, iced coffees! Way to go "A Good Morning Cafe"......Way to go on winning yourself another 8 people to your customer base. We placed you on our top favorites list for restaurants to order from here at work.

Yelp
2/9/2021 A Good Morning 4546 El Camino Real Los Altos, CA 94022 I went there for a breakfast meeting with two of my home maintenance vendors. It's in the mall at the corner of ECR and San Antonio Rd., lots of parking. Dine outside was the only option for this date and it was a little cool. I had the #3 Waffle Wonder which was a Belgian Waffle, eggs and bacon. Everything was solid, hard to mess up simple breakfast dishes. Good place for breakfast but there's lots of competition in Los Altos. Nothing on the menu seemed to compel me to repeat, but it's a good close local option for me. Worth a try.
