Ah-guo Soup Noodles

"Having moved to this address in 2022, the shop famous for Qie Zai noodles (greased noodles with bean sprouts and crispy scallion, in either a flavoursome pork bone broth or dressed in sweet and sour sauce), is now enclosed in an air-conditioned space with a glass shopfront and the kitchen at the back. On top of the signature noodles, specialities like deep-fried pork marinated in red yeast rice, and braised pork knuckles are still on the menu." - Michelin Inspector

Enjoyed especially the spicy wontons and seasonal vegetables. Also liked the dry noodles, great value for money, use Google translate to order on the little notepad at the entrance or point at pictures. It seems to be a locals lunch spot.

Came here for lunch yesterday and ordered the soup noodles (切仔麵), braised tofu, sliced pork liver (粉肝), and cabbage. The portions were small but just right — perfect for trying a few things without feeling too full. All four dishes came to NT$215, which is a great deal. The food was simple, comforting, and not too salty — the kind of flavors that feel familiar and nostalgic. Overall just a really good, affordable, no-frills spot. I’d happily come back.

Delicious local Taiwanese food. Clean and warm service. Must try!

We had a few of the dishes, all of which were tasty. People recommended the noodles, but we didn't get to try them unfortunately. Service was polite, yet no Egnlish was spoken. Prices were very reasonable.

A super unassuming spot that also was part of the Michelin Guide. The spicy wontons are a must try as the flavors are so bold and strong. I loved how delicate and balanced the noodle soup was as well. I liked this place so much that I went twice, and it's super affordable and quick, so if you're in the area, definitely check it out!

The rice is a bit dry but comes with delicious fried onions. The pork trotters are soft and tender, which is my most favorite one. The wontons are nothing special. The noodle broth is quite bland for my taste and the spiciness is overwhelming. In overall, I expected more from a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide like this one. The space is not so big, bright and clean. The portion of dish is a bit small compared to the pictures in the restaurant and the price is relatively high. The staffs can talk little bit in English for order taking.

Yummy, the meat of a goose is so tender and juicy, the rice with green onion oil is absolutely tasty. The price is a bit expensive, it causes the location is in the middle of the city. But transportation is extremely convenient, it is quite close to the MRT station.

It famous for the noodles with soup Qie Zi Miam (切仔麵). The soup has rich flavor; taste goose oil in it. It recommended by Michelin guide also.
