A Hole Coffee

Such a fun concept! The setup has great energy, and the barista was super friendly and welcoming. The coffee was decent—nothing mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable. It’s tucked in a medium-sized lot shared with a few food trucks, which makes it a cool spot to chill and people-watch. Street parking can be a bit tricky, but once you’re there, it’s a nice little hangout spot to start your day or take a quick break.

My friend and I had a very pleasant experience. We came on a Wednesday around 10:30am and there was no wait, coffee was good, and we had no problem finding a place to sit. It wasn’t life-changing coffee and it was a little on the pricey side, but I’ve definitely paid more at other Austin coffee shops around town so I wasn’t too bothered. I don’t think you can expect a viral coffee shop to be 100% efficient in the middle of a Saturday - going out on the weekend is unfortunately a nightmare no matter where you go in the city. If you want to try it out when there isn’t a wait, maybe hold out for a few weeks or come on a weekday.

This coffee truck is super cute and located inside a park area with a lot of picnic tables, shade and seating. The drinks were really good and they have alternative milks and a few syrup flavors. There’s also two really nice pickleball courts at the back (you can rent a court) and a giant dog park next to it.

Go get your picture and skip the coffee. The seating is ok but not enough shade. There is a pickleball court in the back but you have to pay.

It was an interesting concept. My wife wanted to go due to seeing it on social media. Coffee wasn’t the best, we both didn’t like our orders. I got the Austin is wired and that was horrible. Please take that off the menu.

I had really high expectations 😭 I’m sorry we can’t lie the vibe is cool. But the drinks are very overpriced a small for almost 8 dollars …. and the pistachio matcha horrible 😭 I didn’t want to go back and say anything but i just took a sip and it went straight to the trash😫

Enjoyed stopping by this coffee shop. Not only are the owners super nice and fun (see: hands you your drink with a fur monster or lobster hand). The seasonal flavors were great and we got the signature cold brew. They also carry Quacks baked goods! The space is great too. Lots of outdoor seating and other food trucks. Parking is a little tight though so be prepared for that. You can also order ahead!

The coffee here is mediocre at best. I wanted to love this place because the concept and aesthetic are genuinely cool, but I can't support a business when there are serious concerns about how they treat creatives. It has come to light that the artist who developed the original concept has not been paid for their work. If you're going to build your entire brand off someone else's creativity, the bare minimum is to pay them. Anything less is unethical. Until that situation is made right, it doesn't sit well with me to support this business. I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but this situation is so disappointing and wrong that I felt obligated to say something. Until the artist is compensated fairly, I will not be supporting this business and I encourage others to think twice as well. Also the coffee is nothing special, there are many other places that have better coffee and also operate ethically.

A Hole Coffee is such a fun concept and definitely worth the stop if you're in Austin! I visited the coffee "shop" on a Monday morning and it wasn't busy at all. My fellow guest and I ordered two iced matcha lemonades, a croissant and cinnamon pull apart. The matcha lemonades were so tasty and refreshing! I could tell the "shop" knows how to make matcha correctly! And the pastries hit the spot too! There are two ways to experience A Hole Coffee. Guests can order via a QR code on the concrete wall, paying online and then receive via the hole. This option requires no human conversation. But for those who prefer face-to-face ordering, guests can walk around the wall and order via the coffee food truck. There is plenty of outdoor seating, much in shade, too. There isn't dedicated parking for the "shop. We parked on the street and there was ample available parking on a weekday morning.

Bad business practices, spend your money elsewhere. It's a gimmicky place which doesn't pass the vibe. So many better options for coffee.

Cannot pay who came up with their artwork ....buy your coffee from other honest hard working businesses

Coffee is complete ass. Also, I just found out they stiffed the local artists who did all the artwork on their space--all while having the audacity to use the #SupportLocal hashtag. Lol. Weak.

OMCoffee!!!! The A Hole Coffee truck now parked in my neighborhood is everything!!! You can get your beverages & treats two ways. Either walk up to the truck and order or use a QR code onsite to pre-order and then pick it up by grabbing through a hole. That's right a literal hole in a wall! I love this so much! They've only been here a couple weeks now and we've been twice. Once to the truck and once to the hole. Both experiences were great but getting your order through a hole is just super fun. They've got a cute little patio with picnic tables and umbrellas. Open daily at 7 am. The drinks are insane! The food is insane! I LOVE THE PICKLE LEMONADE! Gang, they've got a double espresso with Mexican Coke over ice. Holy octane! Haven't tried it but I just might when I need an extra boost. The macchiato I had was one of the best in my life. Full, rich flavors that feel very European and robust. Perfection. They've got other offerings like teas, sodas, etc. Scones, croissants, variety of pastries that are fresh and delish. People are super chill and the vibe is so very Austin; unique, creative, and just an experience. Service is A+!

The person responsible for designing the shop hasn't been paid for the service, apparently the owner doesn't want to pay her now that it's done.

This place has not paid their artist and are blocking people who want answers. This will not be a place i will be coming to. Pay people what they deserve or don't hire anyone.

Great concept and yes I was here for the hole and the coffee obviously! The awesome part is that the stuff is great and the coffee is so smooth and yummy tasting. So yes buy into the hype. I was only disappointed the online order system was done so I didn't get to ring the bell. Otherwise, fun experience. There is an ordering counter incase you want to bypass the hole. Plenty of seating and located near a dog park. Today, the crab claw delivered my coffee, so perhaps it changes? Go check it out and see what delivers yours!! Happy Yelping!!

Pay local artists in your community! This entire business feels shady and unprofessional. The ambiance wouldn't be what it was WITHOUT said artist. Pay your dues like the rest of society.

The owner has not paid the artist who worked on their establishment. She is actively seeking payment. The owner has also blocked the artist and her family on social media and has also removed all comments from their pots.

Coffee wasn't good, and turns out I did some digging, and they haven't paid the kind artist who did their murals/graphics (the only nice thing about the experience) - and are for some reason refusing to pay her, they acted like it never happened, then are turning off comments on their social media to prevent the community from standing up and speaking out. This is NOT a business or business owner that should be operating. They are operating unethically, without morals.

Noticed that the art & the wall was pretty, but when looking for the artist I came across the post made by the origin's daughter, explaining that this white-owned business blocked the Latina artist after her work was finished. Companies back in the day could get away with this, but these days, my generation appreciates community & the engagement with our community has only been selfish, detached, capitalistic at it's core to say the least. The elderly artist did not get paid, despite providing a full service with clear indication of high marketing potential, & this fraudulent company has went as far as to suggest the artist & her daughter are lying, no respite despite evidence!! In the face of all this, the company has also turned off their comments on social media and tried to silence advocacy for the artist & the community. The coffee is like syrup, all sweet with no taste, just like it's business model apparently.

This business takes your money and REFUSES to pay the artist that actually designed, curated and executed the vibes that yall love so much about this space. Stop spending your money here, the owner is greedy and ripped off an independent artist, single mother of 3. Make sure to drop in and ask for a cup of water as you DEMAND THEY PAY JANE!!

Somebody is a genius, clearly-so hilarious-a glory hole experience anyone that loves coffee culture can enjoy....its so funny to think of the people that came up with this sitting around drinking coffee and going omgvwecHAVE to do this!! The first couple of times I heard about it, I was like have I been there?' Nope, they've ripped us a new one! So funny!! -and the barista was very cool, too-oh, and they've got ac'Little Library" as well with some cheeky books, too! Go A-Hole!

Usually when I go to a small coffee shop it's dog shit coffee and shitty customer service. But this place was complete opposite. Hella friendly and helpful staff. And the coffee was great . Def pulling up again and getting my issue next time I'm on the east side.

this place would've totally been a place i'd go to, seems so cool ! but unfortunately it's only cool because of the artist, who has yet to receive payment compensation for making it what it is

first time visitors, so we mobile ordered & literally as soon as we walked up the order was being called out. that alone was perfect, the swings and outdoor area was a relaxing area to sip our drinks. 10/10 recommend trying to keep Austin wired (Mexican coke w double). With the price, the aesthetic, the quality I'd highly recommend this place and would come again! Parking is a lil odd but definitely doable.
