Noticed that the art & the wall was pretty, but when looking for the artist I came across the post made by the origin's daughter, explaining that this white-owned business blocked the Latina artist after her work was finished.
Companies back in the day could get away with this, but these days, my generation appreciates community &
the engagement with our community has only been selfish, detached, capitalistic at it's core to say the least.
The elderly artist did not get paid, despite providing a full service with clear indication of high marketing potential, & this fraudulent company has went as far as to suggest the artist & her daughter are lying, no respite despite evidence!!
In the face of all this, the company has also turned off their comments on social media and tried to silence advocacy for the artist & the community.
The coffee is like syrup, all sweet with no taste,
just like it's business model apparently.
