A La Carte has steadily gone downhill over the past few years. My most recent visit on 6/16 was the worst and the straw that broke the camel's back, as they say. The waitress was nowhere to be found after taking the order. When the food arrived, delivered by somebody from the kitchen, there were no utensils so I had to go find some. As for the food itself, it was very lackluster. They used stale bread and toasted it in an attempt to hide the staleness. This made it hard enough to break teeth. The sandwich that is described as "steak" was nothing more than cold cuts from the grocery store. After bringing this to the attention of another waitress, there was no attempt whatsoever to try to correct it. The attitude was more or less "Nobody made you come here to eat!" As it is, I will never return and caution everyone else to consider eating somewhere else.
Part of the problem is that there are only college students working there and they don't care one bit, other than how much their tip will be. Why would anybody leave a tip? I didn't! Why would anybody eat there? I won't eat there ever again! There are other places to eat. In this case, McDonald's would have been better!
Who is the owner of this so-called restaurant and where were they? I would like a response with an explanation, not an excuse, as to how you expect to stay in business with such a lack of care and attention happening. I might have been far more forgiving if they would have simply made things right with the food, instead of having an attitude problem.
