"Owners James Claude and Miguel Linares have curated one of the best—and biggest— home decor showrooms in Palm Springs. While the majority of their neighbors peddle mid-century modern wares, you’ll also find pieces from the 80’s and 90’s here. It’s also a great resource for having vintage lighting refurbished or if you’re looking to have something authenticated. "

Gorgeous! They have great taste and quality in modernist design perfected here. The selection has so many beautiful and hard-to-find items from the best designers. Condition was nearly perfect on everything. A rare find in the vintage world!

Very rude owner. Couldn’t touch anything we wanted to buy. If you’re into that sort of thing, enjoy.

Yelp
We we're in Palm Springs a few weeks ago, popped into a La Mod and we're instantly stuck by the quality and the breadth of their inventory; some of the best that we saw in the desert. Miguel and Jimmy were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and made us comfortable with our purchase of a pair of FABULOUS mid century lamp. Not cheap but a fair price for these gems. Wrapped, well packed and ready for the trip to our home. Could not be more happy; we're planning on stalking their site and plan to stop in their shop every time we're in Palm Spring for more treasure!

Yelp
I have been shopping at a La MOD for months, finding rare and wonderful pieces to fill my mid-century modern home. Both Jimmy and Miguel are very knowledgeable and professional . I can't wait to see what they have in their ever changing inventory. This is the best furnishing store in Palm Springs. Don't take my word for it. Check out their website.

Yelp
Reading a couple of bad reviews on this page and wonder what world are these people living in? If you're shopping in a nice store (which is an understatement for A La MOD), you should be respectful of your surroundings. People who let their children run wild in a place that sells vintage (often times) restored to their original beauty, should not take offense to the store owner that takes pride in their business. Nor should you take offense if you THINK you might have something worth selling there, when it is clearly not appropriate. Consignors and people that want to sell their "parent's mid-century furniture" are often times not versed in the Mid-Century Design world. You cant fault the store owner for knowing what the right merchandise is for their store... MOVE ON. There are places to consign your familys "Heirlooms" but North Palm Canyon Drive is probably not the right place for that. Jimmy and Miguel are great to work with and they're both nice guys. It's too bad that people are quick to judge someone over them not wanting to purchase your stuff...Like Jack Nicholson said "You can't handle the truth" But then to go and write a bad review just shows your lack of dignity.

Yelp
This is a very special Antique and vintage furniture store. I love Lucite and I have found spectacular designer Lucite furniture here. Also they are experts at vintage pottery which is also a special interest of mine. Today I was really surprised at how many pieces of art and sculpture they had on display. They have matured into a vintage art gallery as well. Miguel is amazing and kind and has always been especially helpful at organizing Shipping. Which has always been easy. Definitely one of the best furniture stores in Palm Springs and not to be missed.

Yelp
Great mid-century furniture in a really nice space. Lots of high quality items.

Yelp
Cleaning out in-laws condo. Filled with 1980's furniture, barely used. Called and spoke to Miguel. Nice enough fellow. Said to send along pictures. Got email back from James Claude dripping with disdain and derision. "We are a High End gallery and your stuff is not right for us". Oh, really. I've been in your store. That's why I contacted you. Your store is stuffy dusty and it seems that nothing is ever sold. Your floor staff is so full of themselves, that in order to get an answer to one of our questions, we had to SEARCH for them. No, not a place for me or any other well mannered shopper. 9/2 UPDATE: Not good, fellow. Woke up this morning to an email from James telling me he was going to sue me for slander if I didn't take down my review!! Way to do business!!! You're on YELP, remember!!

Yelp
Jimmy and Miguel are the best. I had an awesome brushed nickel lamp for years that they refurbished to new. This piece us now the centerpiece of my living room ...

Yelp
This is an awesome store. They have such a cool collection and Jimmy and Miguel really know their stuff. Great selection and customer service, this is a must stop when you're looking for that perfect piece to bring a room together.

Yelp
We spoke with James here for about a half hour. He's got a great little store here!! Apparently, he also owns the Home Consignment store up the street, but this little shop had quite a few gems! There was a set of three Nelson benches (and I've been dying for them!), but at $250 for the two small benches and $295 for the one large bench, I just couldn't take them home with me. There was a great original Noguchi lamp, a Frank Lloyd Wright lamp, among many other pieces. We struck up quite the conversation, and I know this will be one of my necessary stops on future trips to Palm Springs.

Yelp
What a fabulous selection of furniture and accessories. Great people who are so knowledgable about mid-century pieces. Definitely worth a stop by.

Yelp
We were met with a LOT of attitude. Not so friendly. More interested in playing with his 2 dogs than talking with customers.

Christopher K.

Yelp
Love this showroom. Miguel and Jimmy have curated a fabulous collection of very cool midcentury finds from hard to come by pieces to great classics. Oh yeah and Miguel can restore lamp wiring like nobody's business. I'm a fan. This is a "must drop in" whenever you are in the Palm Springs Uptown Design District.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Very rude owner. There are plenty of other places to go and I would never step in this store again.
