After my last visit, I will never be back.
I came here on a weekday morning. The woman working the counter was nice enough, albeit slow; even though we were the only ones there.
Now onto the problem: the woman was about to take our order, when she stops to rub both inside corners of her eyes and then vigorously wipes her nose with both of her bare hands. This goes on for at least 30 seconds to a minute. Maybe she has allergies, I don't know. Now I completely understand some itches need to be taken care of immediately. What I don't understand, is that after doing all that rubbing and wiping of her eyes and nose, why is she not washing her hands afterwards? She didn't even use hand sanitizer, or wipe her hands with a towel afterwards. Nothing.
She proceeded to take my friend's order, grab her pie, and make her drink with those same hands that touched her eyes and nose. That is really disgusting. It's gross considering Covid is still an ongoing issue, and just gross in general. That is really gross hygiene and poor food safety handling, and completely unacceptable. If she feels comfortable doing that in front of customers, what is she doing in the back with the pies?
The pies here are hit or miss. I've tried almost all their regular flavors, and will get whatever seasonal item they have at the time. Sometimes the pies are pretty good, other times they're not good at all. For sure, not worth $8 a slice even if pretty good as they don't taste much better than what's made and sold at nicer/higher end grocery stores in the area.
They offer a few small tables inside and outside.
Please inform and enforce your team to practice better food safety handling.
