A Lo Fresco's food truck was one of the vendors at Adobe Hill Winery in Fallbrook on Mother's Day. We had a reservation at the winery for 4:15 PM, and my in-laws placed our dinner order around 5 PM. Already, A Lo Fresco said they were out of some key ingredients, like tortillas, and we had to make some substitutions. As half an hour passed and we saw several other tables get their orders, my in-laws checked in and were told that A Lo Fresco was "working on it." An hour after we ordered, other tables still picking up their orders, still no food for us. My in-laws checked in again and were now told that they could no longer even make my caprese bowl at all, and only had the ingredients for the Cuban bowl. At this point we cancelled the order, my hangry 4-year-old had ice cream for dinner from the stellar ice cream food truck vendor, and we had to head home to get some more substantial food. We were extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and courtesy. The other major food vendor at the winery, a pizza guy, had run out of ingredients by the time we arrived, and we appreciated that he let us know up front that he was closing up shop. A Lo Fresco took our money and left us hungry for an hour, instead of being honest and giving us the opportunity to go elsewhere.
