"A Muddy Cup’s atmosphere is a throwback to the days of the more literal style of “coffeehouse,” when espresso was often served in a creaky-floored Craftsmen outfitted with homey thrifted furniture, vintage rugs, and bookshelves stacked with novels and board games. It’s the coffee world’s version of a dive bar, cozy and timeless. Accordingly, A Muddy Cup seems like it’s been here since the very outset of Seattle coffee culture, but its 2010 origin means that it has a more 21st-century coffee approach: Beans are roasted in-house and sourced with an emphasis on ethical trade via the women-owned organization Café Femenino." - Mark DeJoy, Eater Staff

Probably the coziest place in Seattle. This cafe is basically a must-stop on your way from the Fremont Troll, which is just a short drive away. Grab a savory coffee and pet one of the many furry patrons at this pet-friendly roastery. If you're really lucky, you might be invited to play a board game with the incredibly friendly local guests. And don't forget to treat yourself by asking for Jessica's delicious handcrafted cookies, which are only available here!

i got the hot chocolate chai and my husband got an iced caramel latte and we loved our drinks ! i gave mine a 10/10, my husband gave his a 7/10 (he said his coffee was a bit acidic, which i saw other reviews said the same) (: will definitely be back for more we drive by the place all the time and i loved the name so we finally decided to stop by and check it out and didn’t disappoint the baristas were super nice too and such a cool cozy place inside

Google
One of the best Mocha's I've ever had. This is one of those places that encapsulated the Seattle vibes as a whole. Just fyi the atmosphere is low energy and quiet. More library than coffee house. It when feels like your dad's den you weren't suppose to ever go I to when he wasn't home. Loved it.

Google
This is the best tasting cup of Americano I’ve ever tasted! Seriously great coffee, friendly and cheerful service, and perfectly inviting atmosphere. Didn’t order food so I can’t rate it, but I’ll bet it’s amazing!

Google
This place is a gem. I've been going here for six years and it still have the "Seattle coffee shop" vibe. The ambience is as perfect as the coffee. The options here are great for the milk alternative variety. Their product is organic and fair trade. The price is somehow cheaper then most of the spots around Seattle who can't even make a decent cup but still charge out 7-8 bucks for it. This place is sincerely the best and I hope they stay around for years to come. Still my favorite coffee shop.

Google
This coffee shop is really cute. The coffee is a bit acidic but tastes great. The owner is very friendly. They have WiFi, making it a perfect spot to drink coffee and work.

Google
Everything about this place feels like home. The coffee, the pastries and even the service was perfect. I can say that this was one of the best coffee houses I have ever been too. I’m sad that I’ve live in this area for the last year and always pass this place and I’m finally trying it now. This is a must see coffee place in Seattle.

I truly believe every neighborhood has a special place that turns the neighborhood from a location to a community. I found a Muddy Cup when I was lost, and it quickly became my haven, my bastion of community, and some days, the only place that felt like home. I have met friends, lovers, enemies, and so so so many dogs. The kind staff everyone speaks of are the owners. They run their business as ethically as humanly possible. They're there every single day of the week to provide you with the best damn coffee in the area. And when I say the area, I mean the pacific north west. I think the only technically superior coffee might be Beware coffee in Tacoma, but those dudes are huge coffee science nerds and in the delivery of technically perfect coffee, they lose a lot of the humanity A Muddy Cup provides. Look, if you're still reading this: go. go to a Muddy Cup. it's quaint, it's kitschy, it's nothing at all like Starbucks, outside of the consistency of product. Except this product is chosen and roasted in house weekly and the people there actually care about your well being. Order a match latte, it's not on the menu and it's the best I've ever had in my life.

Yelp
9/10. The chocolate chai is fantastic! The cocoa mix very well with the chai and it gives a very rich flavor! Definitely recommend it! 9/10. Staff is really friendly, and they are very welcoming and listening to their conversations with the customers are very warm! Their cups are so cute!!! 8/10. It's giving gem corner cafe with a very classic and cozy vibe.Cute decorations and a lot of great art!

Yelp
A Muddy Cup is a great coffee shop right in my neighborhood and it's one of my favorite places with its good coffee, nice decor and ambience and nails the feeling of a localized coffee shop. Too many coffee shops now, even independent ones may look the look, but When I walk in here, I see people talking and sipping. At others, it's just a bunch of people on their laptops. My in recent visits it's a nice lady behind the counter making drinks and she greets everyone and is friendly with the regulars. The shop is small but there is a fair amount of seating as well as some outside, some with a bit of cover incase its raining. I also like how they're often open on Holidays. I went on Memorial Day and again this passed Labor Day and was able to get a morning brew. The coffee is not over the top, but it's solid and there is plenty of options and flavors which should please any coffee drinker coming in for a muddy cup.

Yelp
We had a lovely experience here! I enjoyed the pumpkin cookie latte I had quite a bit and it was super reasonably priced. The barista was very friendly and helpful and gave me some treats for my dogs. We hung out on the patio, which was very cute and cozy. I loved that they're dog friendly and that they have a variety of seasonal drinks too. They also kindly refilled my water cup many times, and it seems like they're really an important part of the neighborhood with the friendly locals stopping by. The barista knew many folks by name and chatted a bit with them and many of them were very kind and came to give my dogs a few pets. Very much kind and communal spot for humans and dogs, with tasty drinks!

Family K.

Yelp
Cute, cozy, spot with kind staff & chill friendly vibe. Not many seats inside but we were able to grab a table in the corner. There is outdoor seating as well which would be great on a sunny day. Mix of people crocheting, reading, and on laptops. Their speciality drinks were distinct & tasty as well.

Yelp
A quirky little coffee shop tucked away in the heart of Wallingford -- the decor and ambiance are really unique and the whole shop feels very homey. As evidenced by their sign, prepare to see lots of frog-themed memorabilia. The baristas were really friendly and the hot chocolate was yummy. I enjoyed it out on the back patio. It's a nice spot to bring a book or laptop to, would come back!

Savannah W.

Yelp
Super cozy, yummy drinks, definitely coming back! I got a marshmallow oat milk latte and it was delicious :)

Siva M.

Yelp
an amazing cute lil coffee house in seattle that had an excellent latte. we ended up getting pastries and the cheese scone was unreal - so soft and cheesy. coffee cake was unreal and had some sort of chocolate chips or bits in it that just went really well. loved it!

Amal K.

Yelp
THE perfect spot for a day of coffee-drinking and reading. With a cozy setting and lots of tasty pastries to pick from. Can't recommend it enough!

Tim M.

Yelp
I came here recently with some friends. What a cool spot, I love the decor and colorful ambience and the coffee was good. I enjoyed the pastries and the baristas/owners were super friendly. Definitely coming back here. Parking was not plentiful, but not impossible either. It's definitely worth a visit!

K. A.

Yelp
The coffee sucks (their espresso tastes like drip coffee) but the vibes of the place rock - especially the outdoor seating areas. Will definitely be coming back, but will order tea instead.

Joe K.

Yelp
I accidentally fell through a tear in the space-time continuum and found myself in this amazing coffee shop from the 60s. I challenge you to find a better, cuppa Joe anywhere, or my name isn't Joe.

SeriouslySeattlite

Yelp
Lately, my favorite coffee shop around - Beyond amazing coffee, cozy spot, and you can bring your own travel mug if you want to!

Janna H.

Yelp
This cafe has an adorable and homey atmosphere. It is quite warm inside and I had a cozy study session. If you have any cups that you no longer use, you can donate to those in need (and vice versa) through the cafe. The barista was very kind and provided hot water refills for my spearmint tea. I am thankful that she remembered that I had ordered it with a splash of coconut milk and offered a splash for every refill! I look forward to visiting again:)

Tabatha J.

Yelp
This may be some else's vibe it just wasn't mine. I came to order a hot chai to go and was honestly put off by all the signs about extra charges and animals rights etc along with the wait. Just wanted to relax and get a drink.

Faye S.

Yelp
Little hole in the wall for coffee. Employees were nice but the cleanings of the kitchen was questionable. I could not find the health code rating either.

C C.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere and the coffee. The people are always friendly and efficient. The decorator is charming and relaxing and there are plenty of books if you want to put your phone down or ignore your laptop.

Kellie G.

Yelp
Excellent coffee! Fun eclectic atmosphere with games and cozy seating. Great neighborhood coffee shop.

Alana K.

Yelp
A Muddy Cup is serving up quintessential old-school Seattle coffee shop vibes and delicious coffees (and teas!). It feels like cozy magic walking through their doorway. Like a time portal to a bygone era. Our barista was friendly and knowledgeable. Our vanilla latte was expertly crafted with the vanilla complementing rather than overpowering the coffee. A Mighty-O donut rounded out our purchase. Dog friendly. Wish we could have holed up for a while either indoors or on their back patio. Alas, it was but a brief stopover for us. But we will be back!

Yelp
I like this place and admire how hard the owners work. I've been really hesitant in leaving this review. From November of last year through June this year. I came in almost every morning. I always left an average of a $1.50 tip and a few times $5.-20.00 tip just to show my appreciation. Recently they started charging .25 cents for a cup to get their drinks in. I always get a double cup because I often heat the same cup of coffee up through the day and it helps keeps it warmer without leaking. I bought one of their cups, unfortunately with being in construction it's hard to keep clean and hard to find it at times. I stopped working in the neighborhood, but decided I had to past on I-5 anyways so maybe at least 2-3 days a week I could past by and still support the shop. So the day I got off I-5 to just got get coffee here. I was hit with the .25 fee for a cup, and for me that ended up being a double cup so I was charge .50 cents. Honesty I wouldn't mind paying for the second cup, but paying for a cup I'm buying their product in seems so wrong. I get the whole green thing also. Not that I don't want to support going green. Honestly after being a great customer and the $40-60 every month I put out in tipping, not including $180 a month in coffee I'm buying seems really harsh. What happen to taking care of customers? As for everyone bringing their own cup. How sanitary is that during Covid? I mean grocery stores stop letting people bring their own bags, and a cup is what touches peoples mouths. I don't think I feel safe knowing that hundreds of others cups that haven't been sanitized handing over to the food prep area. Don't we have enough people in society trying to control us and what we need to do, and now a coffee shop? It all seems hurtful honestly. Dictating and forcing people to use unsanitary mugs. As a gay man, I've had enough people in life dictating what I need to do. I don't support anyplace any more that tells others how to live, even in their sly little ways . It's sad because I have some friends that go there and one said they won't go back either with the new cup charge. I will miss this place.

Jesse S.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop. I really like the interior; it felt like stepping into somebody's living room. They have books and games. The coffee is good too. They have specialty beverages, but the menu is on the side by the cashier. I didn't see it until I paid for my boring latte.

Josh S.

Yelp
Cozy, friendly owners, outdoor seating, and great coffee. Definitely a gem in the city.

Grace M.

Yelp
Hidden gem of a coffee shop! Unique drinks, outdoor and indoor seating, inclusive and cozy space with games and friendly staff. They also have a bin of reusable cups that you can use or donate to!

Tee Z.

Yelp
Worst breve ever. Customer service is cold like their coffee after 30 seconds. Barista has trouble communicating...not the dude in the glasses...the loud woman pumping coffee.

Michele R.

Yelp
Love this place! I work at a local business a few blocks over and sometimes I catch an earlier bus just to stop here and get a cup of their hot cocoa, because it's amazing. The barista is always super nice and they've got a great selection of pastries/baked goods in the window too.

Emma S.

Yelp
I stood outside ringing the service bell several times over the course of 15 minutes. This was at approximately 1:20pm today. I knocked on the back door and there was no answer. Then I peeked through the front door window and saw the employee asleep on the couch!

Michael R.

Yelp
This is a neighborhood coffee shop filled with mismatched furniture and locally made art. The owner and barista, Sarah, is cheerful and remembers your drink order from last time, even if you've just been there once. They also carry the largest variety of alternative milks I've seen in any coffee shop. I recommend the matcha latte with pea protein. Yes it sounds a little odd, but the flavors work well together! If you like the coffee here, you can take it home. They roast it themselves and are happy to sell you a bag of whatever roast you want, including decaf. There is only a single barista working at any given time so you may have to wait a couple minutes for your drink. Personally I have no problem with that, I much prefer this local shop over larger chains.

Lauren T.

Yelp
This place is so cute and screams PNW vibes. It looks like a little shack and for how small it looks, there is PLENTY of outdoor seating. It was raining when we went and they have covered outdoor seating too. They have a crackling firepit too that just makes the whole experience even better. I got the mocha, half sweet, and it was fantastic. I would come back without a doubt. Street parking is free, it's in a residential-ish neighborhood.

Conor W.

Yelp
Tasty bagel, good coffee, just no place for me to plug-in my laptop - but that's due to inside being closed due to pandemic.

Bryan N.

Yelp
Delicious coffee with a variety of options. Really eclectic and comfortable environment. The owner is friendly with a good sense of humor.

Jack M.

Yelp
This place is adorable and I love the coffee and the owners. Comfy couches and chairs, the back patio is dope, secluded reminds me of a secret garden. Great for bringing friends and relaxing. Coffee is excellent, Mike roasts it himself and has been for years. Some people on Yelp complain about it but that's because they're used to terrible starbucks and like a lot of flavors and syrup. Sarah is a sweetheart and is friendly and warm. I lost my roommates cat and she gave me tips and guess what it came back so I owe her for that. Was a neighbor for many years but sadly I moved to San Diego. My muddy cup mug chipped in the move so I gotta hit them up for another. Stop whining about service fees and prefer cash. If you come to my bar your paying cash or I'll show you the door. Come say hi to Sarah and Matt.

Leah P.

Yelp
Muddy Cup has navigated all of the changes the last year has thrown at us beautifully. The walk up window is cheerful and inviting, I love sitting at an outdoor table and watching the world go by. As always, Sarah is a delight. She has a knack for remembering her regular and semi-regular's drink orders and her sunny disposition always brightens my day. While you are there, pick up a tasty pastry or a bag of her roasted coffee beans.

Inna B.

Yelp
Oh, good! A cute neighborhood coffee shop close to home! I'm so glad this space has finally been leased and turned into something cozy and useful. I've passed by Djan's Thai many times wondering who would move in. (Unless there was an office in here for a while, I think it's been vacant for several years.) I love several things about the concept of the near-by Mosaic, but I've just had two too many burned coffee experiences there that I don't bother going their for coffee anymore. A coffee shop needs baristas, and apparently the good ones aren't usually volunteers. A Muddy Cup does NOT have a bad/inexperienced barista problem. Bonus points for having a rice drink option for those of us that would rather skip the milk, hemp AND soy! My first visit was during the Thanksgiving '10 snow, and I was pleased to find a delicious hot mocha and an ever-so-healthy (Mighty O!) donut to enjoy as my snow-day breakfast. Several people were working away on their laptops, and I wished I could have joined them and kept enjoying the space. Too bad I have a desktop, and those don't travel well. I really like A Muddy Cup and am pleased to have them in Wallingford. I don't often find myself there because I usually find myself near when I'm headed to the grocery store or it's time for happy hour at Kate's Pub, but I definitely like the spot. Seems like a great space to work/read or catch up with a friend while enjoying hot coffee (or tea).

Valerie W.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop! Upon entering it's like walking into Grandma's house...old loungy furniture, kitschy decor...just really cozy. Huge plus to Muddy Cup is their outdoor patio area. Just perfect on a sunny Seattle day. They have a wonderful looking selection of pastries...I have yet to try but trust me when I say they look GD delicious. Their coffee is moderately priced. I paid $6 for a large iced almond milk latte. A little pricey but I'd rather pay that here than going to SBUX. All in all the coffee is good. Staff is friendly. Nice little hang out spot to read, work, or even just relax and have conversation.

Danielle C.

Yelp
I saw that this place was reviewed highly on Yelp so I decided to stop by on a lazy Sunday afternoon. My first impressions were that the building really does look like someone's house, and I've just crashed their cute living room. I ordered an 8oz vanilla latte. They do double espresso shots here. My total was $3.67. I guess that is on par with what other coffee shops are charging. Anyway they (I assume) handstamp their paper cups with their cute logo. They also have cute latte art on top. Unfortunately this shop is one of those places where they overdo it on the syrup shots, or quite possibly that they use really strong syrups. Whatever the cause was, all I could taste in my coffee was the vanilla flavoring unfortunately! At least the espresso shots weren't sour, but I was disappointed nonetheless. Also the couch I was sitting on had ANTS on their armrest! They kept on crawling over my book. I've toured a lot of coffee shops and I have never seen ants before.... In conclusion, cute living room like atmosphere but I don't think I will go out of my way to come here.

Trudy A.

Yelp
I love that this funky little coffee shop is a short walk from where I stay when visiting Seattle. The funky decor, totally Seattle vibe and friendly service, combined with great coffee and yummy local snacks, make this my go-to coffee shop in Wallingford. They offer cozy indoor seating and plenty of outdoor space as well. Cheers!

Bianca S.

Yelp
This place is precious, in the precocious bratty child way. I was tempted to write this review after the first sip of latte, but I was scared I'd be kicked out. I was meeting a friend. Perhaps I was more disappointed at the potential the Muddy Cup has that wasn't realized. It's a gorgeous converted house full of grandma knickknacks. The location is wonderful. Seating is a mix of couches and tables. I sat at the group table that only seats four but had a note saying you need a minimum of two people to sit there. I guess that means they don't allow randoms to share a table? There goes community. Even though it was near empty, I felt like I was going to be kicked out for breaking the two person rule while waiting for my friend. They also charge 1% for card transactions and encourage cash. I know it's less than the credit processing fee, but cash transactions are a security risk and possible (probable?) tax avoidance. The barista was gruff and the coffee was burnt. Oh, and I was expected to toast my own bagel. Yes, I sound snobby and accept I'm not the target market for the Muddy Cup. They make it clear they have a certain preferred clientele and I'm not it. That's OK, there's yummier coffee elsewhere.

Jennifer J.

Yelp
This charming little coffee stop on a corner in Wallingford is definitely going into my rotation of regular Seattle coffee destinations. Tucked up off of busy 45th street, it's like a java oasis featuring deep colors, soft lighting, and comfy furniture. The staff are very friendly, and were quick to help me decide from their huge menu of coffee and tea options. They also had a tasty-looking selection of baked goods on the morning I was there - I opted for a heavenly (and reasonably healthy) carrot cake muffin. Would love to see some protein breakfast options like breakfast sammies or burritos, though I know their kitchen space is very limited.

Bobo J.

Yelp
Amazing service and people in a beautiful seating. Indoor seating is great, but the patio in spring or summer is incredible! And the coffee is delicious, of course. They have a full selection of gluten free celiac-safe goodies from Flying Apron and Nuflours! Definitely a new favorite spot.

Bridgett W.

Yelp
Best hot chocolate in Seattle that I've found so far. So. Damn. Good. This place is super small and cute, equipped with comfy couches and chairs for relaxed enjoyment of your hot beverage of choice. I am very pleased with the home-like feeling it gave me. It's kind of got a cozy vibe and is great for a personal meeting, a date, or a chat with a friend. You could even work in here if you wanted, but it doesn't have an upbeat vibe if you're hoping to stay focused. It's like being at home, which I love. I came here with my friend Jordan, who ordered an espresso and then forgot to ask for no dairy. After drinking a few sips, he went up and asked if she'd be so kind as to remake it with no dairy, and she did. She wasn't super happy with him for not ordering it in the first place, but was kind and replaced the full cup for him at no charge. My hot cocoa was seriously made with love and super decadent with a nice rich chocolate/dairy taste that really hit the spot. I got whipped cream on it too! I'll be back here soon with more friends! Thank you!

Liz F.

Yelp
I'll be honest - I've passed this place a few times on the bus to work and I've been a little turned away by the name, "a muddy cup." However - I love my coffee, so it was worth the 'shot' to try it. The outside of the building is pretty dark, but once you wander in you'll find a very cozy and neat environment! Furniture probably purchased at a thrift shop and pretty nature paintings. The low light atmosphere is inviting on a rainy day. Just a warning - there are signs posted around the coffee shop that state you must establish a relationship with the business (i.e. buy something) - they require every single person in a group to make a purchase if you want to hang out there. Seems a little extreme to me - especially being in Seattle where everyone meets up with friends at coffee shops. The barista was really sweet! Probably some of the best customer service I've had at a Wallingford coffee shop. Coffee was good - but nothing to write home about. They carry Mighty-o doughnuts... yum! And for you Seattle hipsters, they have organic milk.

Julia N.

Yelp
Now that I quit my job by this place, I am going to make a review since it was remarkably the WORST coffee I have ever in my life had. That thankfully I will never have the misfortune of drinking again. First off, when you see the sign and little house you want to go in. Seems welcoming and cozy. WRONG. The dude with the ponytail seriously was the rudest person i've ever come across. He doesn't even realize it. I'm standing in there, immediately feeling tension in the air. It is NOT a warm, welcoming coffee joint. The atmosphere is uncomfortable. You feel almost rude for being a customer. I tried to give off a nice polite presence, tipped well, was polite to the "barista". You are only acknowledged once you pay. It would have been nice to be greeted when I came in, as this place is small and it was pretty awkward coming in on some conversation. That's Seattle for ya. He took 10 minutes to take care of the two guys in front of me getting coffee. Wouldn't stop talking. Atleast work AND talk at the same time! But now you may be thinking, you MUST be stretching your annoyance. Oh trust me, honey. It gets worse. Finally when he got to me I ordered and he seemed annoyed I only had debit card on me. Sorry, I don't want to get robbed. Not to mention I don't really care about your service fees. Lol. He started being nicer but went on and on about star trek. I tried to seem interested but honestly at this point I wanted to get OUT of there. Guy wouldn't shut up, another 10 minutes wasted blabbing about some dumb show. I WANT MY COFFEE. I don't even know how the conversation came up. Small talk I guess but it was just too much. Especially since I had already been inside for over 10 minutes. Then he goes on another tangent about how he doesn't burn his coffee. Mind you. I never asked. Or mentioned anything about burnt coffee. Funny thing is, got my coffee, and lo and behold...IT WAS BURNT. I wonder if that was why he brought it up, he knew he burnt it and wanted me to think/expect otherwise. Weird. I even asked for it to be a sweet latte, tasted like bitter toilet water mixed with ground up hotdogs. There was also small bits of coffee "flakes" in the drink, oh my god it was disgusting. I am not even being overdramatic. It takes a LOT for me to dislike a coffee joint. And it takes even MORE for me to despise it! I'd rather be forced to drink 7-11 coffee every day for the rest of my life. Such a cute photo I took too. If only I knew what lie ahead before I actually tasted it. Yuck

J J.

Yelp
This place is so unique and cute! Definitely worth trying. I loved my coffee, but the decorations and vibe were the best part! The gal working, Sarah, was so sweet and played great music! The space is pretty large and there's a back patio! Loved it!

Kayla B.

Yelp
This place is just across the highway from university district nestled really cozy in the middle of a neighborhood! Very discreet from the street because the building is covered in ivy and plants. My friend who took me here is a big fan. He says usually comes here to either chill out at night with a good book on their retro furniture or for a quick cup of joe in the morning. I brought my dog along who I had to tie up outside, but they had this adorable patio that was closed when we went I would have really enjoyed to sit in kind of in the backyard area of the building. We found some seats out front but that patio is so adorable, it should definitely be in use! Be sure to grab a buscuit for your pup while you're inside!

Jun Li Z.

Yelp
This place is conveniently located along a bunch of other shops in Wallingford. I planned to do some reading there but the place was really really really dark. The ambience could help you fall asleep. I got a regular coffee in a small cup but decided to head out after that. It's a cozy place for sure. I wouldn't go in there to do work as the lighting was so poorly lit (like you know how some fancy places dim their places so well that you cannot see the menu?). I guess I can say this place is not my cup of tea?

Derrick F.

Yelp
Great coffee, and I just love the unique, quirky, comfortable sitting area! This coffee shop is Wallingford gem. I can't recommend it enough.

Malina M.

Yelp
Consistently mediocre lattes, sadly I love the quirky and eclectic feel of the cafe, but the coffee is lackluster.

DF H.

Yelp
Nice place with a cool mellow vibe. Generally i like it. But I have a modest concern. There's an ever growing list of rules and prohibitions creeping across their doors and showing up cluttering the menu board. It seems that A Muddy Cup is running the risk of becoming a strictly transactional enterprise. The welcome mat seems as if it's being withdrawn and one prescriptive rule after another has taken it's place. Rules such as those of no shoes, no shirt, no service, no outside food or beverages, wifi and bathrooms for customer use only, pay for your drink before claiming a seat, surcharge for use of a credit card, 2hr maximum wifi usage with each $2 minimum purchase, no weapons, nuclear-free zone, etc. are perhaps necessary. But as with most necessary statements it's not so much offensive what's said but how you say it. Something to consider.

Yelp
If you are in Fremont, this coffee shop is worth visiting. What made this place different from the other shops is the wide variety of flavored syrups for lattes and Italian sodas. From what I remember, there was a list of at least twenty flavors, including pumpkin, watermelon, peppermint, strawberry, raspberry, hazelnut, caramel, vanilla, and peanut butter. After taking a few minutes to decide which flavor we wanted, my sister and I ordered the peanut butter latte and peppermint latte. I thought the barista would make our drinks too sweet, but the sweetness was perfect! I was definitely surprised by the peanut butter latte. It was probably one of the best lattes I had in Seattle. My sister also ordered a baked good, and it was okay. Just stick to the drinks. The coffee shop is cozy, and the interior design gives it an eccentric spirit (which I totally love!). I don't think you'll understand what that means until you see the decor for yourself. Anyway, this place looks like a good study spot, and I'll definitely come back if I'm ever around the area.

Yelp
My boyfriend needed to do some work on his laptop and we were driving around the Greenlake/Wallilngford area and decided to pick the first coffee place we drove past (at the time of thought). Muddy Cup came up. We found a parking spot a block up from the cafe. When we walked in we instantly fell in love with the warm cozy home sweet home feel! I ordered a 16 latte and he ordered a 16 oz americano. Both came in cool tall mugs, and they were made perfectly! We found a small table in the corner with two chairs and a fun old fashioned lamp. We had fun looking at the other cool furniture and pictures. We also had a good snicker over the cute wifi password name The staff seemed genuinely friendly, which honestly is hard to find. Most coffee shops, the friendliness seems forced or you don't get much of it at all. I also want to note that when I walked into their key-locked bathroom it smelled like walking into a grandmas kitchen after making an apple pie! Conclusion. I love this place and will be back!
