Reached at 450pm, there was already a Q. Store was only open at 510pm. Food was served quickly, the whole store is filled with sesame smell. Was really looking forward to this meals since it was highly recommended by YouTuber. But nah, I think any home cooked chicken soup tastes much better. The chicken was hard and it’s wasn’t soft. The soup is lacking of flavors. The rice and noodles was nice and flavorful. Not worth to travel down to try.

Not the most convenient place to visit, but to get to taste of the 麻油鸡汤 and 麻油面线 worth the travelling and the wait.
Absolutely rich and tastiful soup with very juicy chicken at an affordable price. Not to miss if you are a fan of 麻油 stuff.
I would say that this is a must-have if you are in taipei

Food very good. Sesame oil smell and flavor are strong.
Compared to some other sesame oil chicken soup that you can barely drink the soup, A-nan’s broth will make me basically want more bowls of it!
I will recommend to try more variations of the soup and eat the chicken oil rice

The hype and the Michelin recommendation are real... This is the best sesame oil chicken in Taipei. The soup is rich with flavor without being oily, the sesame and wine are not overpowering. I got the chicken thigh and the meat was tender and cooked just right. Be sure to get the sesame oil dry noodles to cap off a great meal !

As a Westerner, you will likely not enjoy the sesame chicken soup. The broth was so bitter I could not eat it. The chicken was chewy, tasteless and SO difficult to eat. And the meesua were soggy :( It's a Taiwanese dish that I just don't understand. On the upside, the waiters were the friedliest I've met in Taipei.

Nice soup but a little over-rated in my opinion.
Soup is not fragrant with sesame oil, and more on the bland side (a little more saltish would be perfect even for me who don’t like too much salt).
The portion is generous, and reflected on the price (about NT150). The vermicelli is nice.

This is undisputedly one of the most soothing meals ever. Rich yet no cloying, the sesame oil, ginger and chicken soup marries up so perfectly. It’s also not overly salted, so the flavour of the chicken soup shines. The kidney soup is also wonderful. Crunchy slices, well handled with no gamey odours. Clean and bright environment. Thumbs up

There are not a lot of seats for this food stall. I arrived around 7pm and had to wait for around 30 minutes to get a seat. The food is amazing for its price. The chicken is very tender and the soup is rich. Highly recommended when the weather is cold.
