Chef Sammy Monsour to Open a Soulful New Southern Seafood Spot in Downtown LA | Eater LA

"Opening next week on Thursday, July 19, A PCH is a large new Long Beach addition developed by the Orange County–based River Jetty Restaurant Group with a 5,400‑square‑foot, second‑floor location that overlooks Alamitos Bay; the menu leans heavily on modern surf‑and‑turf, and diners will likely battle for seats on the 2,500‑square‑foot weatherproofed patio." - Mona Holmes

5 stars all around. The ambiance is cute and relaxing. Nice view of LB marina. Foodwise its solid. Enjoyed an array of dishes from the menu. Standout dishes: Spicy yellowfin tuna, lobster cobb salad, truffle fries. Love our experience here thanks to our friendly server and food! Dont forget to take photos at the mini photobooth which is a nice touch to the retro mid century vibe.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it was truly a memorable experience from start to finish. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made the evening feel special. From the moment we were seated, the attentive and friendly service elevated the night. The food was nothing short of amazing. I started with the oysters, which were impeccably fresh and beautifully presented. Each one was briny and clean, the perfect start to the meal. The Lobster Cobb Salad was a standout—a colorful and hearty plate packed with flavor. From the creamy avocado and perfectly cooked eggs to the tender lobster, every bite was a combination of fresh ingredients and satisfying textures. We also indulged in a comforting grilled cheese paired with tomato soup. The soup was rich and velvety, and the grilled cheese had that perfect crisp-to-melt ratio—simple, classic, and executed perfectly. The drinks were equally impressive. Thoughtful cocktails and a well-curated drink menu made it easy to enjoy the evening. One highlight was a whiskey served over a branded ice cube, which added a fun and polished touch to the presentation. To top off the night, dessert was both elegant and delicious. A small bowl of creamy vanilla ice cream topped with fresh berries arrived with a lit birthday candle, making the experience feel personal and celebratory. The plate even had a chocolate “Happy Birthday” message, showing the extra attention to detail. Overall, this restaurant delivered on all fronts—flavor, presentation, atmosphere, and hospitality. Whether you’re looking for a spot to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a fantastic meal, this place is a must-visit.

A PCH in Long Beach delivers every single time—from the fresh, flavorful food to the effortlessly fun vibe that makes it one of my favorite spots in Long Beach. We had the halibut tacos (light, crisp, and bursting with flavor), the spicy pizza (bold, thin-crust perfection), and the chopped salad with added salmon. That salmon was flawlessly flaky, buttery, and so well-seasoned—it made the salad feel indulgent in the best way. And the whipped feta with warm pita? Unreal. The feta is silky smooth, topped with sweet roasted tomatoes, fresh basil, and a sprinkle of what tastes like crushed berries—giving it a tangy-sweet contrast that’s totally addictive. The pita is warm, soft, and light—not drenched in butter, just the perfect clean pairing. Service was another level. Delia was incredible—warm, attentive, and remembered the little details like how I prefer my capers not crispy. That kind of thoughtful, personal service is rare and makes all the difference. And shoutout to Travis at the front—so welcoming from the second we walked in. He made spot-on dessert recs. The entire experience was seamless, flavorful, and full of heart. A PCH is a Long Beach specialty for a reason.

Google
Service was excellent, but I think the food was a little hit and miss. Hits: Dirty pasta, Fancy pizza, Meatballs, and Grilled cheese with tomato soup. Misses (not totally, just needed something extra for a pop of flavor): branzino - lacked flavor, maybe crispier skin would have helped and cacio e Pepe - lacked flavor. Could have used more cheese? Would we go back, absolutely! Final point. I would have loved to try the chicken pot pie. Wish I never saw on menu as just a Mon/Tues item. That’s all I wanted after seeing it on the menu! Haha.

Google
Excellent brunch experience. Cheese and meat plate had a great variety, cheese was excellent and sides of honey and sauce were great. Stuffed squash blossom flowers were very flavorful. Scottish salmon had crispy skin and perfectly cooked internal temperature. Great views of the marina, recommend a booth in the patio area. Nice cocktails. Great service

I cannot remember the last time I had an exceptional dining experience like this one. Highly recommend this place. My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary, and right away the experience was made special with complementary Prosecco and customized menu. Our server Garrett was absolutely incredible: so kind, knowledgeable, attentive, and caring. He truly made our time their memorable. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the fancy pizza, dirty pasta, spicy yellowfish tuna starter, and Mac and cheese side. All were outstanding. We splurged on dessert even though we were stuffed, and wow was it worth it. We ordered the Three Chocolate Silk Pie, which came customized for our anniversary, and it was to die for. There even was a free photo booth at the restaurant to be the cherry on top of our night. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place for an amazing dining experience, and thank you GARRETT for being an outstanding server!!!

Met here for a business lunch. Did not disappoint. Experience was a whole vibe. Food, service, atmosphere. I enjoyed it. I will be back next time I’m in town.

Google
This is kind of upscale but can be California casual. The servers are friendly. I've been here several times and the food was superb. This last time, it was okay but not up to par with previous experiences. Maybe they were having an off night. Don't want to knock them completely down if that is the case. I'm not writing them off completely. I'll try them again but I hope the food is back to its best quality like before. This time, we tried several dishes. The octopus was good. The fries were kind of bland. The Spicy Yellowfish Tuna was excellent and so were the Chilean Seabass Tacos. The Grilled Caesar Salad was good. They used to have a Cioppino that was excellent. Sadly, it wasn't on the menu this season. It usually is for winter.

Yelp
We celebrated valentine day on a Sunday and we got a rare night out away from the kids. We had reservations and it was fairly busy when we arrived. We loved the ambience At the bar and sunset views and were eager to get cocktails ordered. We waited 20 minutes and our waiter never arrived. Finally a lady came by with some water and thought she was going to take our order. After nearly 30 minutes we let her know we were completely overlooked. She sent the waitress over who apologized and then went above and beyond by letting us know our meal and drinks were fully comped. The bud in drinks and Chicken pic arts were delicious. We also ordered the ahi salad and apple pie. We complimented the chef and the lady came back with a gift card hoping we would come back. We thanked her. We have never had such a whiplash of an experience and really appreciated how much care was put ii to our experience. We've never had our meal comped and wanted to thank them for saving and helping make our Hear day experience. Thank you A- we will be back!

Yelp
Love love love this place I've only been here a handful of times for birthdays. But it's one of my favorite places. Whenever anyone asks me for recommendations I always recommend this place as one of LBs finest It's located at 2nd and pch which is a great location with other shops and restaurants. It has a really gorgeous view overlooking the marina with beautiful windows (come during the sunset) The bar is also stunning with some of the best drinks and one of my favorite espresso martinis I recently came here with my eating partner in crime, Kara, for her birthday We had already eaten so we just wanted some light snacks and drinks (one of the best burgers in Long Beach is also here. So come hungry) We ended up getting seated right away Making a reservation is really easy and highly recommended They pay attention to detail and put happy birthday on the menu Each time I've came we've had outstanding service and the staff is all very very knowledgeable about the menu and suggestions We went with the truffle fries and a pizza which were delicious (they brought us out 3 different sauces with the fries) again, we had already eaten and mostly came for the drinks. But, if you do come hungry, GET THE BURGER, you won't regret it! We also ordered the apple pie and then the free birthday dessert came out (ice cream) The atmosphere is really pleasant and parking is perfect if you can find a spot in the garage or even better, parking on the marina side. And then you just take the elevator up (next to Ola) We asked our waitress for drink recommendations since it was late and I didn't want to go with my trusty espresso martini. I went with - vibe check. Which was a cucumber mint vodka based drink with lime juice. Highly recommend, so refreshing My girlfriend got the - Leilani For our second round we both ended up with the -The Gilded Lily. Which has Rosemary but you can not even taste it (I'm not a Rosemary fan and our waitress kept assuring me that you can't taste it. It's a very sweet drink and it comes with Rosemary for garnish but she left that out for mine) also, she was extremely nice about it and said if we don't like a drink, it's ok and she would gladly switch it out. (Which my girlfriend did with the sub-lime after I told her I had it last time I was here and it was a popular drink) I actually can't really say what The Gilded Lily tasted like. It was very refreshing to me and beautifully presented. Highly recommend (vodka based with hints of berry, Lillet Rose and fresh lemon juice Overall, everytime I've been here it's been a delicious pleasant experience

Yelp
We had a great experience! Our waiter was incredible and we had a really nice booth tucked away in the corner by the fireplace. I ordered the chicken with the pasta substitute as per the waiter's recommendation. It was delicious! Usually I don't like ordering chicken because it's never that great but this chicken dish is super flavorful! I highly recommend. The only annoying part of my experience (which may not be the restaurants' fault so I didn't dock a star) was that they do not validate parking. So after the 2 hours complimentary parking be prepared to pay for parking. Our friend who lives in the area told us right outside the lot is free street parking that would have saved us a good $25. Good to know for next time!

Yelp
Great spot! First of all, the service was great. Immediately the hostess was so nice. She greeted us and helped us find a table where I would have a good view of the football game on tv and stay warm. Then our server was very nice and knowledgeable. Afterwards our bartenders at the bar were so friendly and nice. That made for a really good experience. The restaurant is chic and trendy but you don't have to dress up. Love Long Beach that way! There is bread service which is much appreciated. We started with the octopus (amazing and perfectly cooked) with the lobster roll (I wasn't crazy about it-didn't think it was anything special but my friend really liked it). Then we had the pasta with duck ragu (very good and a large portion) and the Cesar salad (standard, nothing special but solid). The best part? If you go to the bar after for a "nightcap", it's half off your cocktail! I think just one though and your server needs to tell the bartender. What an awesome way to end the night!

Yelp
My dearest friend made a reservation for us here for birthday drinks + small bites. We shared a pizza and truffle fries! Standard pizza was just okay. It was kind of lacking toppings, in my opinion. It def was STANDARD lol. Truffle fries were a hit. The portion was huge. It was a never-ending mountain of fries and we also got a plethora of sauces to enjoy it with! Easily shareable! Dessert was probably my favorite part of the night, behind drinks. We had the warm apple tart with caramel sauce and ice cream! The warmth of the tart, paired with the vanilla ice cream, did things to me. Also a complimentary birthday dessert. So sweet. :) Our drinks were super delish and they hit us both right where we needed them to. Great vibes and beautiful view, overlooking the marina. Perfect for girls night or date night!

Yelp
My daughter and I had a wonderful late lunch here. We loved the open terrace, it's a great view. Plus the details in the decor are subtle, but impressive. Our server was helpful and the hostess was very friendly. We tried the Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Both of them were very satisfying. We each also had a cocktail after a tough day shopping. We strolled through the bar on the way out and were impressed by the whiskey selection,

Yelp
The restaurant has a very nice intimate vibe, perfect for a date night! I ordered the dirty pasta and my friend ordered the A Burger. The dirty pasta was phenomenal! I absolutely loved the ricotta salata on top. It was a very soft and mild cheese that took the dish completely over the top! I'm going to be dreaming of the pasta until I get the chance to try it again! The only downside to the meal was that I wasn't able to try everything else on the menu! Be sure to come here, I promise it wont disappoint!

Yelp
Another great addition to 2nd and PCH. Usually I avoid malls, but this outdoor mall is right next to Alamitos Bay and has so many good restaurants and great parking that I love going there. We went for Happy Hour. This place is great with very friendly service and good food and drinks. I definitely want to go back for dinner.

Yelp
The Happy hour is great! Beautiful water views and they even have Justin Isoceles on happy hour! Bartenders and food exceptional.

Yelp
Fabulous Friday night at A PCH. First time visit and it didn't disappoint. Reservations for 5:30 so we caught last 30 min of sip and savior (aka happy hour) and got a few discounts on drinks and apps. Make sure to check out the cool photo booth for free in the bar near bathroom, must stop! Let me start to say our service was amazing, from hostess, buss service and of course our amazing server Alexandra W. Everyone was attentive and courteous and really made the night complete. App time... whipped feta. Wow this will be attempted for my next cheese plate for sure. The salty feta was topped with blistered tomatoes and wonderful honey and lemon sauce that all mixed perfectly with some warm fresh pita. Great deal for $12 at Happy Hour. Grilled octopus also a happy hour special for $20. It has a lot of other stuff like veggies, potato and chorizo. I wasn't a big fan of the potatoes since they felt like filler but the flavor is amazing and I 100% order it again. 6 oysters- they were fresh, west Coast with a great homemade cocktail sauce. Can't complain. Drinks were flowing. Whiskey drinks for myself included "Yellow stoned"which was an elevated penicillin and "summertime in the lbc" which was a much fruitier grapefruit soda mix. It was a refreshing summertime drink but too sweet for me the yellow stoned will be my go to! My hubby tried "pear'd up" a pear vodka drink and "wild peach" which was a less peachy Bellini. I don't do sweet so both were a lot for me, liked the pear better and he did too but he finished both, so not too bad. He also finished with the espresso martini at the end of the night and they gave option of creamy or more coffee forward. He would try creamy next time. Still good but strong. Oh that's right more food... skirt steak medium rare served with fingerling potatoes and broccolini, served on a red pepper sauce. To start, steak was cooked perfectly. I prefer a little more salt but the sauce made up for it and tend to lean toward salty side. Hubby loved it and veggies were cooked perfect and it was nice to have a complete meal. I think it was $45 ? Highly suggested! Cacio e Pepe with fresh made pasta. It was excellent, not super traditional as the sauce serves a little creamier and loose compared to others but it was wonderful flavor and loved the bit of citrus. The quality of the fresh pasta will make we try their dirty pasta dish next time. $25 great deal. Are you full yet? Basque cheesecake with blueberry compote, fine I guess. No crust with a brûlée like outside, it was fabulous! It don't think the blueberries were even needed but they didn't slow us down. All in all it was a great night with amazing service, comfortable decor, spectacular views and delicious food and drinks. We will be back thanks to the kindness of our amazing server. Thanks for making a great night even more memorable. Hope to see you next time, management you have a great hire there!

Yelp
Definitely consider A PCH for celebrations. Finally found out what was in this corner of 2nd & PCH. Parking is ample, you can go shopping after, and there's ice cream at this plaza. Made reservations for 2 and got seated promptly when we arrived. Reservations were made on OpenTable and you can leave notes for the restaurant. Service was great, our server was very knowledgeable and had recommendations ready. We ordered the 2oz Japanese wagyu, the ribeye steak, broccolini, and mashed potatoes. The wagyu was cooked just right and everything they had on the plate to pair with it really amplified how good it tasted. Of the two sides, the potatoes were better. They have 1/2 off wine Wednesdays and there's even a cute complimentary photo booth inside the restaurant. Would definitely come again.

Yelp
A PCH is always decent foodwise, but they have a staff issue. One out of every two meals has terrible service. Last night our server took 15 mins to introduce himself, Florindo, and then dissapeared again. finally ordered drinks which took a while to come out. server finally appeared again, so we ordered our app and main courses. Food came out quickly, but the busboy had cleared our silverware and said the server would bring us new flatware. Unfortunately, the server didnt come back for another 10 mins, so we sat there with our food in front of us, but unable to eat. had to track down another server to get us silverware. then watched that server go tell our server something. our server came back and didnt offer any apology. i informed him that I was upset by his lack of attention and he didn't say anything. literally the worst service I have had at A. but not unexpected.

Yelp
On the second floor of 2nd and PCH is where you can find A restaurant. This is the perfect place to treat yourself to a luxurious dining experience with great views. We ordered a couple of cocktails that were sophisticated and bold! Especially the martini with the caviar stuffed olive. Their spicy tuna on tempura eggplant was my favorite. It just bursted in amazing flavors. The whipped feta was so creamy and paired with the saffron honey on top it was chefs kiss. The Scottish salmon was fantastic. The beurre blanc, which is a fresh butter sauce, was the perfect pairing with the salmon. The Boneless ribeye was cooked to perfection. It had a caramelized crust while being juicy and tender on the inside. It was hearty and satisfying. This place is definitely a fun, delicious and memorable splurge. Thank you to our lovely server Yael (hope I'm spelling her name correctly) for being so attentive and helpful.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with a great view! I came here for a work lunch on Friday and had a wonderful experience. Elegant place but the serving staff made us comfortable, didn't make it feel pretentious. We started with some appetizers - Meat and Cheese Board ($38), BBQ Heirloom Carrots ($14), Corn Esquites ($12) (Elote off the cob). Everything was so delicious. The nice thing is we had a big party of 9 people, so we could try a lot of different things. I had the Heirloom Tomato and Burrata ($19) for my entree. Everyone was very happy with their choices - whether it was the beautiful looking steaks, the seared tuna, the sausage pizza, Cacio e Pepe, the additional sides of asparagus. It was a great meal with great conversation. The staff did not make us feel rushed at all and gave us plenty of time between courses. Some people even left room for dessert!

Yelp
A PCH is a great restaurant with amazing food and great customer service. I ordered the Seabass with Risotto and my wife had the Chicken Piccata. Both were delicious. The restaurant is pretty spacious and has a nice ambiance to it. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
A fantastic lunch in a restaurant with a wonderful ambiance. Upon walking in, I noticed how upscale this place is. I felt very under dressed, even for a mid day visit. However, seated on the outside patio, I quickly changed my focus to the view. I love a solid menu where it's not overwhelming, but many options grab my attention. The variety offered was diverse. Between my friend and I, we shared 3 items: Lobster cobb salad - delicious, next time dressing on the side as it was a little too much Fancy pizza - unique and delicious, a sweeter pizza Spicy yellowfin tuna - loved this!!! Samantha, our server was wonderful. Appreciate great service! 90 min parking in the lot.

Yelp
03-10-2024 A PCH is located at 2nd & PCH. If you find parking out on the street, it's free. Or you can park in the structure... I don't know what the cost is. You can take the stairs or use the elevator to get up to the restaurant. You can see it from Marina Ave. side of the shopping area. Not only is the restaurant elevated (on the 2nd floor), so is the dining! The bar is where you enter the restaurant. It is pretty stunning and beautifully decorated and lit! It's an island with seats around it. There are a few booths there also. We walked up and were greeted by the friendly lady and she seated us promptly. We were asked where we'd like to sit, so we chose the table at the edge of the enclosed patio with a clear view of the marina. It was a little breezy and we almost sat elsewhere, but decided against it. Our server was helpful and efficient. We started off with Orange Juice. After we perused the menu, we decided on the Charred Octopus, Chilean Sea Bass Tacos, Brioche French Toast, & Maple Bacon. The plates have the name & location of the restaurant on them. If you go to the restroom area, it has an interesting arrangement. There is one general restroom area for everyone. Each stall is a fully enclosed room. The sinks are in the open area and the paper hand towels have the logo on them, too. Back to the food, I'm not sure I'd get the Charred Octopus again. It is served with Chorizo Picante, Roasted Potatoes, Confit Tomato, & Aji Amarillo Sauce. It was a busy plate and I think it just drowned out the perfection of the Octopus itself. The Brioche French Toast with Blueberry Compote, Mascarpone Cream, & Crème Anglaise was very good! It wasn't overly sweet. I think the Mascarpone Cream & Crème Anglaise complemented the blueberries & French Toast nicely. Also, in between the French Toast bites, I had bacon to offset the sweetness. One thing I am not a fan of is paying for anything I don't order. In this case, it is the tacked on "Employee Benefit" charge. I don't recall seeing it printed anywhere on the menu. It's sneaky and not right for the customers to have to scrutinize our checks. We leave much more than decent tips & we don't always see the extra charge until after we pay the bill. This was a nice relaxing place to enjoy brunch with a nice view of the marina!

Yelp
Free parking in the parking structure for 90minutes. Host was friendly and understanding. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor and difficult to find access if you're not familiar with the plaza so we had one person who had a hard time finding the location. Restaurant is beautiful and classy. Upon entering you get a glimpse of the marina as most of the restaurant has a view. For a group of four, we were sat at a booth, which was comfortable. Our server, Reece, was quick, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. The food: 5/5 squash blooms were delicious. Crispy, cheesy, and sauce added a touch of acidity. 5/5 spicy yellowfin tuna. Only mildly spicy but a good balance of savory, sweet, soft, and crispy. 2/5 duck confit sopes. Not much flavor here. Tasted mostly shredded lettuce. 3/5 filet & crab benedict. Quality of beef tasted good and was tender. However, this was highly under-seasoned, not a hint of salt. Undetectable crab, either in taste or serving. Poached egg was cooked well. The crispy chicken sandwich with fries (upcharge). I didn't try it but the chicken looked paper thin with more bread than anything. Friend said it was underwhelming. Fries were good though. Brunch was a miss but would come again and only order apps.

Yelp
I recently made reservations for a party of 7 through OpenTable to celebrate one of my girlfriend's birthdays, and wow, what an incredible experience it was! This was our first time at this brunch spot, and it certainly won't be our last. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to a beautiful view and warm hospitality. Our waitress, Alexandra, was absolutely incredible--so sweet and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable and memorable. We indulged in a feast of delicious dishes: 2 dozen out-of-this-world oysters, truffle fries to share, 2 orders of spicy yellowtail appetizers, lemon ricotta pancakes, skirt steak with hash and eggs, breakfast pizza, salmon Caesar salad, heirloom tomatoes with burrata cheese, and the amazing dirty pasta. We literally shared every dish, and everything was just perfect! Their espresso martini was delicious too!! We had such a great time together, and the food was simply phenomenal. If you're looking for a spot with yummy food, excellent service, and a beautiful view, this is the place to be!

Yelp
This is seriously one of my favorite restaurants. I feel like it's a hidden gem that deserves WAY more attention than it gets. Every time we come here we sit at the bar. Justin is one of the best bartenders and he's got a great personality. I am actually planning on having my bridal shower here because the food, service, and views are all stunning. I truthfully can't decide between brunch or dinner to choose as a my first choice.

Yelp
This was our third visit to A PCH . We like the restaurant for its location and general ambiance. Since we did not have a reservation we sat near the bar . The service was fast and efficient despite of them being sufficiently busy on a Friday evening. Our server was attentive and made sure that . The food was kind of okay okay. We ordered the sushi rolls and the meatballs. While the meatballs were good the sushi rolls needed some umami, especially when they are not served with a side of soy sauce. I like their non Asian food offerings.

Yelp
my friend and i visited A PCH for sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday early. made rez via opentable for table for 2 so cute! our menus had "happy birthday" on the top we opted to sit in the outdoor patio area against the glass wall. we ordered a few plates to share: crispy chicken sandwich duck confit sopes breakfast pizza all three plates were so delicious! i couldnt pick a favorite. i would def order each of these plates again. service was wonderful. my water glass was never empty our waitress recommended us to try to sopes and the pizza, so thanks! both great recs loved the layout of the restaurant indoor/outdoor booth seating and table seating avail i saw a photo booth, not sure it was working def will be back for dinner soon such a nice lovely welcoming space. parking: parking garage free 90mins. street parking for 2 hrs on marina dr. surface lot across the street

Yelp
My little brother took me there for my birthday. We arrived at 8:50 pm and the kitchen was about to close. Luckily we were given enough time to pick our food and drinks. I had a filet mignon with asparagus and broccoli, any my brother had lamb chops with some type of pasta. Both were delicious! I loved my steak and the sides were all very tasty and juicy. Our drinks were also great and I didn't feel drunk afterwards. Our server was very attentive and made sure we felt comfortable and happy with our food. The ambiance was perfect with low lighting and nice views of the marina if I'm not mistaken. Overall I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I'd come back again for a special occasions.

Yelp
We stopped in for drinks and dessert after dinner at Tantalum, and I must say their strawberry, rhubarb tart was delicious! Had an espresso martini as well that went nicely with the rhubarb. We were lucky to snag the last table alongside the bar. It was lively on a late Saturday night; music, lights and crowd went well together. We were actually looking for Bungalow but ended up here, no complaints.

Yelp
The lobster salad was delicious, but I received zero service during my late lunch. I was seated and I waited about 20 minutes before I flagged down a busser to get some water. The order was also incorrect, I couldn't even fix it because no one stopped by to check whether we got all of our food or not. Idk why I tipped for service I didn't receive. I would give it another chance purely based on the quality of the food & views but honestly.. might sit at the bar next time.

Yelp
We came here for our anniversary and we had the best time! We ordered the oyster, Japanese A5 wagyu and truffle fries to start and they were incredible. The wagyu was AMAZING- so tender and flavorful, cooked perfectly with the most subtle crunchy sear. We also had the "fancy pizza" which was very flavorful and delicious. We ordered the Ribeye medium rare and it was perfectly cooked and so delicious. The side - Mac and Cheese was OK, Corn was very good. Bread service seems to be on request, but it was a really nice sour dough. Overall, it was amazing and we will definitely be back.

Yelp
To be honest, I did not have high hopes for this place. From the outside, it looks like one of those places in the mall that's trying to hard to look fancy when really it's just a Cheesecake Factory knock-off. However, from the moment they greeted us to seating us to checking in on the table before the entire table even arrived, it was just all so attentive, the right amount of pleasantries and then allowing us to have our own private conversations. In fact, this needs to be said that a server who can see a table and check in at times when they know they're not interrupting a good conversation is talent! It seems that she only ever checked in on us right when we had lulls in the conversation. On other words, at the perfect times! In regards to food, I had the Cobb Salad, someone got the burger, another got a steak and we were all impressed with the food. The best part about this place is that most of the tables literally look out onto the harbor and most days they have the huge windows open so you feel like you're outside but also under the comfort of being inside. The place is set up so that everyone in the dining room basically has an amazing view. I highly recommend this place! Also, you get to walk off the food at this relatively new outdoor mall!

Yelp
I was at an event on Long Beach for the weekend, and we got together with some friends for dinner at A PCH after it concluded one of the days. Proved to be a pretty good choice. Very classy, nice decor, and we had a table kind of to ourselves in the corner with the marina and the sun behind us, which was nice. We started off with some nice, soft bread and garlic butter, as well as the hamachi crudo, which was refreshing. I also had the Spicy Margarita with the tajin rim, which was definitely one of the better restaurant margaritas I'd had in a while that wasn't at a Mexican restaurant. And for my main course, I had the Dirty Pasta with the ground duck, which was delicious, if needing a bit of salt and other seasoning. Then we all shared the cheesecake for dessert, which was nice and rich. Pretty good upscale spot to come to if you're in Long Beach, and the complex that it's on has a lot of other shops and places to check out too, so you could make a nice evening of it

Yelp
A PCH is the second restaurant location for the River Jetty Group and A Restaurant in Newport Beach. It is one of the nicer upscale dining addition to 2nd and PCH with a view of Los Alamitos Bay and Marina. A PCH serves an eclectic menu. We started with the Duck Liver Pate. It was a bit odd as it was served in a jar topped with a huckleberry gelee. The pate itself was a bit weak in flavor which meant that it had a lot of filler. For an entree, I had the crispy whole branzino. It was served as a whole fish, head on, topped with a zesty veracruz sauce. The fish was tasty but a little bit difficult to eat because you had to be careful of the fish bones. I wish it was accompanied with some type of vegetable or starch on the side. We also ordered the lobster cobb salad. The salad comes with roughly 4 oz. of Canadian lobster served in small bite sizes. The white vinaigrette dressing was very light and didn't contribute to the flavor profile. Service was good. We were seated in one of the booths on the heated patio that also had gas fireplaces on both ends. Menu prices were on the high side. They also add a 2% Employee Fee with each check. Even though, there were some hit and misses, A PCH is a satisfactory dining option for New American cuisine.

Yelp
Came for a birthday and we all had a great time celebrating, but not sure the atmosphere and price are worth it. We ordered a lot too so maybe it was just too much food. I will say, thank you yelpers, for telling me about the chicken piccata with cacio pepe instead of potatoes. This was the best meal ordered in my opinion!! I don't think the dirty pasta should be the most popular dish, ir could have a lot more flavor. I say yes to the fresh bread, broccolini, roasted carrots, and the tuna appetizer is also reallyyyy good. The Caesar salad was supposed to be grilled, but it wasn't warm and didn't have that char taste that others have. I liked the duck liver pate and octopus, but I also feel like I've had better. I did enjoy my dirty martini! And I was too full for dessert, but our party did try some. Overall, good time with good people, but I would go somewhere else for a fancy dinner.

Yelp
If you are looking for a sexy, chic restaurant to dine at in Long Beach, A PCH is a great place. There is always so kind of lag checking in/getting seated whenever I arrive. I haven't been greeted by a host/hostess each time I go here. It's easy to let go because my experience once I'm inside the restaurant, everything moves like clockwork. I haven't had drink/dish I didn't like. Everything is so yummy. I'm a fan of this place.

Yelp
So happy I found this place while doing some last minute research for Mother's Day weekend. We opted to go on Saturday instead to avoid the Sunday rush and was able to snag a reservation at 230. Was seated at one of the plush booths overlooking the harbor and was very impressed by the overall elegant feel and nice bar area. I could definitely see myself grabbing a solo bite to eat or just a nice lunch with friends in the near future. It was 1/2 off bottles of wine before 3pm. Since we came in at the cusp, we were also able to order from the dinner menu because I really wanted to try the chicken piccata and subbed it for the Caccio Pepe. Great recommendation I picked up from previous reviews. Food was delish but mom thought that the burger with Blue Cheese was a bit on the saltier side which is to be expected. My parents are not drinkers so I didn't want them judging me for ordering a bottle of wine for myself. I did ask the server if they could cork it if I didn't finish it and she said yes. What I did try was this purplish drink with Aviation gin with Hibiscus syrup, lavender bitters and egg whites. Omg, I don't usually order cocktails but this was soooooo good. Yes, I took a photo of the recipe and love it so much that I will try to re-create at home. Just thinking about it makes me want another one. Can't wait to try their other cocktails on my next trip. Price point is fair for the ambiance and service. Everyone was so attentive and I loved the fact that our table was always clean, plates were immediately picked up after every course and clean utensils were given. Team seemed to work very well. To our server Giana, I appreciate your patience and the phenomenal service. We had such a good time.

Yelp
Our office held its annual holiday party and we would not return. Food is fine, service was average at best, and the water tastes absolutely gross. Very overpriced and would definitely not consider coming back.

Yelp
GIRLS NIGHT WAS A SUCCESS thanks to our time at A PCH. It seems as if we ordered everything off the menu (check out my pics lol). Even the pickiest of eaters will find something to enjoy! Among many "favorite parts," one of them is that they offer a discount at the bar called a "night cap" after dining! I did not partake this night but it was good to know. PLUS! They have an epic Photo Booth which we went spent a fair amount of time in haha! I love that LB is popping up with so many new restaurants that are worth checking out and exceed expectation. We need more spots like this!

Yelp
A PCH is perfect for an upscale dinner. Located on the top floor of 2nd and PCH, you get a nice view of the marina and the restaurant itself is richly decorated. From the hostess to our server and everyone in between the staff was very professional and helpful. They have a full cocktail list with lots of enticing opportunities. I enjoyed the Naked in Naples which was well-balanced and my mom enjoyed her wine. We stared with the Charred Octopus which comes with chorizo and potatoes. The aji amarillo sauce tied it all together and I was impressed with both the portion size and the fact that the octopus was served already sliced and incorporated into the dish. We split 2 entrees but again, portion size is generous so we were extremely full although we finished it all. Our server informed us that their pasta is made in-house so we ordered the Chicken Piccata and subbed the potato puree for a side of their Cacio e Pepe. From the photos, it looked much more impressive than the potatoes and I'm so glad we subbed it. It was extra tasty mixed in with the lemony sauce from the chicken! The Dirty Pasta was our final dish and while it was also delicious, the other dishes were our favorites. It seems as though you can't go wrong here and I look forward to trying more of the menu, especially the Chicken Pot Pie only available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Yelp
Beautiful location for a nice dinner! I planned a bday celebration here for my boyfriend. Service was great and food was delicious. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny. I felt it was worth it. Since our group was large we were sat in the corner table outside very nice but feels a bit distant from everything going on. Definitely good if you want something a little more private. We had a one year old in our party and we had no problem having him at our table. Note there is a service charge added to your bill so please make note of that. We'll be back another day!

Yelp
Love A restaurant! The view of the harbor, the friendly staff, the ambience, and the thoughtful food selections/quality. I like to sit at the bar on Wednesday to enjoy half off wines and have dinner. The bartending staff is very attentive and friendly to chat with. I highly recommend the seared Ahi tuna salad with mango and fresh ginger. It's light but filling. All the portions are a good size and to be honest, I haven't had anything I didn't enjoy.

Yelp
I'm not sure what I expected when I heard "breakfast pizza," but I was definitely happy with the decision! The food and drinks were all great, especially the breakfast pizza. I think this is a great spot to hang out and enjoy a weekend brunch with friends or family. It's comfy and modern with pleasant staff as well! Also a plus...there's a cute photo booth inside! I think it really adds to the experience and it made for a memorable time with friends. Stop by!:)

Yelp
Had an early birthday dinner and was blown away by their service and generosity. Complimentary desert, a birthday menu, and a card from staff. The food was great. Absolutely recommend the squash blossoms and their pizza -- definitely our favorites. Mac and cheese was ok, I would skip not a fan of the tiny elbow noodles and it was more on the oily side than creamy. The piccata was great though a bit too on the lemony for my preference. For the pasta I would've preferred a softer noodle but it was perfectly al dente. The cheesecake was amazing and light, definitely recommend if you have room for a sweet treat. Loved my drink and it was a surprisingly large amount for a serving. My favorite part of was the complimentary Photo Booth!! Do take advantage if you're there and make sure to get a digital copy!! Loved my experience here, would definitely visit this location and the other A restaurants in OC! My only con is that they don't validate parking.

Yelp
Uplifting ambiance, truly elegant atmosphere, and incredible staff define this establishment. During my visit to purchase a gift certificate, Melissa offered outstanding cuisine suggestions, exemplifying exceptional A PCH representation.

Yelp
The slow service at A PCH was disappointing as a first-timer. My friends chose this restaurant to celebrate their birthday since they liked the reviews on their steaks. We went on a Saturday night reservation for 5 people and were seated right away. We got served waters, and had so much time to view the menu that we had picked out our entire order (drinks, apps, entrees and sides) by the time the server came lol. Food breakdown: 1/2 dozen oysters (5 stars)-- great flavor and sauces. Fair price. Salmon belly crudo (4 stars)-- light citrus and strawberry sauce with tiny pieces of salmon. Would be better served with like a rice paper chip. Expensive. Ribeye 16oz (4 stars)-- juicy, served with roasted garlic. Expensive. A5 Wagyu 2oz (5 stars)-- 5 bite size pieces of decadent wagyu.. loved the sauce and baby oyster mushrooms. Expensive. Filet mignon (3 stars)-- decent portion. Cooked medium rare but tasted dry. Fair price Skirt steak entree -- my friend ordered this and finished her plate. Looked really tasty. Dirty pasta -- my friend ordered this and finished his plate. Also looked really tasty. Asparagus side (4 stars) -- huge asparagus, very chewy Mushrooms side (3 stars) -- tangy, but plain and a small portion Puree potato side (4 stars) -- Wolfgang puck recipe because I make this at home Corn esquites side (5 stars) -- tied with my Wagyu as most flavorful. Definitely get this. The cocktails were also very tasty-- notably the Man-go and the Peach ones. We were parched as it was a hot day, so the service really affected the allure of A PCH. My friends got a scoop of vanilla ice cream for their birthdays, so that was a nice touch. I don't think I would come again though, as there are restaurants with better service and more value for the food.

Yelp
Had a great experience here on a Monday night- it was pretty busy considering a Monday. Beautiful bar with beautiful views of the marina. I love the bar seating and the lounge style booths for table seating. Our bartender was Teeko (sorry if I butchered that) and he was great! Drinks were phenomenal, beautiful as well and actually strong but tasty. The food was So good!! Everything I ate was delicious, from the squash blossoms, the hamachi, duck liver.. The sea bass dinner entre was fire and those potatoes were absolute perfection. Highly recommend this spot , we can't wait to be back to try other dishes.

Yelp
Went here for the pot ... on Tuesday... ended up adding the octopus, some oysters, the caviar service and a few too many cocktails lol. I also had the apple crumble, but that I did not care for... everything else was phenomenal! The ambiance is, you know how we do it in LBC.. upscale casual... beautiful booths and bar... nice views... our server, this Italian guy (can't remember his name) was the best! So relaxed, attentive and a lil chatty (but I like that)... side note the pot pie crust was soo buttery and flakey... the filling was delicious and well made... but lacked a little in the seasoning department... but still totally worth it!

Yelp
A PCH in Long Beach is a great spot ! We stopped by after shopping and were impressed with the great drinks, delicious food, and excellent service. The view is stunning, making it the perfect place to relax. Highly recommend

Yelp
I used to come here at least once a week or every other week with my wife and our friends & was our go-to in town and our favorite. I just went for dinner on Sunday night, accidentally left my ball cap that has huge sentimental value to me in our booth (the first booth against the wall on the outside patio) and now after calling, it's disappeared as "no staff found it or turned it in " This is on the same evening where we came to celebrate my best man's birthday & on top of being sent an overcooked steak ( I ordered medium rare, first received medium well, then black and blue on the second run) I opted for a burger to-go since the entire table had finished their dinner. (ordered medium, checked at the table & was cooked well-done) I left with no dinner and missing a ballcap. Worst experience ever...still no word back from management

Yelp
Just terrible food and drinks. The water smelled like fish water. They must make the ice with same water because the martini and g&t was also undrinkable. Truffle fries were over seasoned and also inedible. My second g&t came in a cracked glass and was leaking all over table. You'd think they would comp it as an apology but no. Service was so so. Cool ambiance. So much potential. Won't be back.

Yelp
Nice little spot in the new mall! Amazing view! Definitely a dare place or a great place for business lunches! Pot pies are good, but can only get them at the beginning of the week!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner. They very very nice and accommodating as I asked to switch the table for a nicer view. We got complimentary Prosecco for a toast. The waitress was fantastic, she was always there when we needed something but would not unnecessarily interrupt our conversation the octopus appetizer was probably my favorite dish, it was fantastic, tender and flavorful. I had the skirt steak which I thought was ok, and that might be just that skirt steak isn't my favorite. My boyfriend had the burger and enjoyed it. We also ordered two cocktails which were fantastic, it was great to learn they are a scratch kitchen and bar. Overall I'd recommend a visit, and look forward to checking it out again.
