A Presto! Italian Foods

Amazing food! I had read that the owner/chef wanted to create a place in DC with great Italian food like she had in NJ or NY. And She HAS! We got Poppy's Sunday Gravy, the meatballs, and chicken parm, and they were all fantastic. We moved from NY and since the pandemic have bemoaned the loss of Queen Italian Restaurant in Downtown Brooklyn. A Presto was a really welcome taste of what we've been missing in terms of rich Italian food. We did takeout, but loved the atmosphere above Bullfrog when we went to pick it up.

Everything was delicious. My had cheesy bread as an app, and then my friends had pasta dishes and I had the Peach & Burrata salad. We were all really happy with the food! Especially the Rigatoni Vodka Sauce pasta... The vodka sauce is ON POINT! I recommend giving this place a try!

I’m hesitant to share such a glowing review of this place bc, after living in DC for 5 years, I hadn’t found such a fantastic Italian “hole in the wall (or upstairs)”…until now. Try the gnocchi, the garlic bread, and the wine…not a single thing disappointed! Can’t wait to go back.
